Ukraine Gives Russia 48-Hr Ultimatum Or "We Will Fight"
Ukraine's foreign ministry has given Russia a 48-hour ultimatum to explain its military exercises near the nation's border; or, as foreign minister Andriy Deshschytisa warns "we will now fight with Russia troops."
As AP reports,
Ukraine's foreign minister has blasted the Russian decision to start military maneuvers along Ukraine's border and said his country will fight any invading troops.
Andriy Deshchytisa said Russia's decision Thursday to launch the military exercises "very much escalates the situation in the region."
Talking to The Associated Press in Prague, Deshchytisa says his country has been taught a lesson by Russia's annexation of Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula. He says "having this experience, we will now fight with Russian troops if ... they invade Ukraine."
He says "Ukrainian people and Ukrainian army are ready to do this."
Deshchytisa says the new Russian military exercises are taking place "even closer to the Ukrainian border than it was planned earlier" and demanded the withdrawal of Russian troops.
It seems the red-line is about to be crossed by both sides... though as long as Putin does not hold an emergency press conference, it seems BTFWWIII is back on.

I just hope and pray that the Americans who are forward deployed in Eastern Europe come back in plastic body bags by the plane load and that they keep coming in rapid succession. Any scum that continues to support an objective that includes this kind of chaos after 13 years deserves the most vile and brutal death imaginable.
And if as a Nation we're unable to stop it before it goes to "Defcon 1" I'll be looking forward to that all-over-tan the Jews in Tel Aviv Haifa, Washington and London will just die for!

That may happen. Those of us rooting for the anti-fascists are supporting those who will be trying to kill them. But these are still our children, right or wrong, and I cannot find any joy in their deaths.
Soon (unless our criminal misleaders set off a nuclear holocaust) many or most of them will be coming home - alive, but with damaged bodies and minds and angry as all Hell. Coming back to join the veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, and their elders who learned the same lessons at terrible cost in Viet Nam.
They will be looking for answers about who set them up and who's to blame. Like all the Vets that came before them they will need to know we still love and care about them ... and still need them. As witnesses, and to stand with us to save our land and the world from the criminals who sent them there.

I guess my point is when do you as a member of the U.S. military thoughtfully reflect on all the harm you've done in this World based on lies that led you to see numerous invasions and occupations that have been an abject failure and as a consequence degraded and destroyed your military and for that matter the economy that pays for you?
How do you continue to take orders from leaders that have a death wish not only for you this time but more importantly the rest of the Country and the World against a super power that can and will defend itself? So now we're going to take on the biggest and badest?...
How is it even possible these career military types continue to follow orders and not have become conscientious objectors en masse after the Bin Laden capture, Fukushima clean up and Benghazi? Are the money and benefits really that good?!!!

Nemo, I suspect we're talking about different typical members of US Miitary.
I picture someone (call him Type X) who signed up believing the bs and who keeps going because he's part of it and loyal to his comrades and it's about them and that and pride in a job well done, and it eats at him but he's not letting himsef think too deeply - until one day it hits him, maybe after he's out and back in the States.
I think you are picturing a career soldier, (Type Y), maybe a mercenary, who's already hardened and already reconciled to killing a woman or child here or there or wrecking someone's town and able to laugh at death and killing and justify it by the money and perks.
Both exist. They deserve to be judged differently. But maybe the line between them isn't clear.
Looking at Ukraine, every soldier who refuses to fight for the fascists, refuses to kill his countrymen, is a win. And a soldier who last year could have been sent into battle against whoever his government said was the enemy but who has come over to the people. All Type X's? A mix of X's and Y's? I don't know.
Headline should be: "US/Nato invaded the Ukraine"!

My view is that the ruling classes that dominate NATO countries are sufficiently insane to risk starting a war that could quickly go out of anyone's control! There is nothing in their historical habits that makes them care about the REALITIES that weapons of mass destruction are trillions of times BIGGER than ever before in human history. The ruling classes' social success was based on backing up lies with violence, which has worked for them for thousands of years.
NATO is dominated by banksters, who have become criminally insane, because they have an agenda to attempt to consolidate a totally integrated global system of them being able to make "money" out of nothing, while everyone else is forced to accept that fraud. After all, that system already took control of the British Empire, and then the Anglo-American ( Zionist) Empire, which were able to dominate the whole world, while kicking the shit out of countries like Russia in the past. I can not imagine any practical ways to prevent the banksters that control NATO countries from continuing to provoke an utterly insane world war, because they already are criminally insane, because they expect to be able to "win." That everyone could end up losing is not something that they care enough about, to stop them from risking that happening, in order to attempt to advance their agenda.
