Satellite Images Reveal Massing Of 15,000 Ukraine Troops, Hundreds Of Tanks Around Slavyansk
Yesterday, we jokingly noted that with separatists blockading Slavyansk from a Ukraine special-forces invasion, and with the Ukraine army blockading Slavyansk from said separatists (unclear exactly why), that the east Ukraine city of Slavyansk is easily the most blocked city in the world (and in dire need of fiber). However, based on just released satellite imagery showing the build up of Ukraine forces around Slavyansk - a city which as a reminder is located in Ukraine - what is going on around Slavyansk is no laughing matter.
Russian RIA Novosti reports that it has received satellite photos, "which clearly show the accumulation of a large number of Ukrainian military equipment and weapons on the border with the Russian Federation and in the vicinity of Slavyasnk." RIA cites a source in the Russian Defense Ministry, who commented that the pictures show a military formation designed "to wipe out the city and all its inhabitants from the face of the earth."
According to source, the group has more than 15,000 troops from the Ukraine army and national guard, about 160 tanks, 230 infantry fighting vehicles and APCs, and as much as 150 mortars, howitzers and multiple launch rocket systems ("Grad" and "Smerch").
The source concludes that "This concentration of troops in one area is not compatible with the potential of self-defense forces, armed with only a small number of pistols and submachine guns."

Naturally, none of this should come as a surprise, as rationally one would expect Ukraine to respond to a comparable build up of Russian forces along the Ukraine border which itself was revealed two weeks ago via satellite photos as well:

It goes without saying that a matching build up (or at least an attempt at one) by Ukraine is normal and to be expected. The problem is that as we have witnessed every day over the past two weeks, military provocations on both sides of the conflict happen every day if not every hour. The latest one happened moments ago, as reported by RT:
Unknown assailants landed in helicopters and attacked a checkpoint in Soledar city in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region, a militia source told RIA Novosti adding that there is a fight going on. There is no information on the number of casualties.
Soledar is located about 30 kilometers south east of Slavyansk.
The people’s governor of Donbass region Denis Pushilin confirmed to RT that there is fighting in Soledar. As the unknown men attacked the checkpoint, the militia was forced to retreat, the source told RIA.
The second checkpoint is preparing for attack he said, adding that there are about 50 activists, many without weapons.
For now these skirmishes around "checkpoints" have been isolated events. But how long before the Ukraine "special forces" which may well amount to 15,000 troops as reported by Russian media, get involved. And how much longer after that until Russia retaliats. But the biggest question: who will be the agent provocateur who fires the first shot in hopes of launch an all out war? Indeed, who stands to gain the most from yet another war - one which will hardly be "contained"

My post was written a little confusing. I didn't intend to make it sound like I'm supportive of the blue/red team. I hate both political parties but what I meant was that in this day and age these wars are planned in advance to benefit the bankers and the elites. To the elites their is no good or bad side in a war just money to be made. It's not like Putin or Obama are calling the shots in this thing but people above them. It is my belief that a war at this very moment in time would not be beneficial to the powers that be. Using ruthless dishonesty in his methods, Creel claimed he was merely trying to de-bamboozle the American public from the effects of German propaganda by telling bigger and better lies.
And under Creel the definition of propaganda became just that: lie.
For only by lying could he combat the public's anti-war attitude. In 1917, petitions against war still flooded Congress, and when New York’s mayor, John P. Mitchell, remarked at a Carnegie Hall meeting on March 23, 1917, that the U.S. was on the verge of war with Germany “he was drowned out by shouts of opposition and left the meeting.”
And, then, on April 2, 1917, President Woodrow Wilson asserted to Congress: “The world must be made safe for democracy” and asked Congress to declare war against Germany.
Creel’s propaganda offensive, getting into full swing by 1918, was known as “the American reign of terror.” Writes David L. Hoggan:

I believe that Georgia attacked an autonomous Russian speaking region and Russia put an end to it. The Georgian president at the time was trying to impress NATO which in itself could be viewed as a hostile act by the Russians (especially in hindsight).

The references to alleged "socialists" who were pro-war and wrote propaganda for the CPI does not prove Creel a "socialist" any more than pro-capitalists who propagandized would prove Creel to be a "capitalist".

The fact that some Congresspersons claimed higher taxation to be "socialism" is also pointless.

The idea of America getting involved or jumping into a war in Ukraine would have been hard to imagine a few years ago. As I write this we are engaged in a war of words but the potential for this to escalate into a shooting war is real. Allowing events to deteriorate into a major war or possibly into what some see as World War III is becoming a reality.
As insane as it appears this could become the final outcome. The location of this as a military confrontation is right in Putin's backyard and this is a strong advantage for Russia. It is silly to think Putin and Russia will back down. This means poking the bear is not a smart move. It cannot be emphasized enough this government was not elected by the people and that the military of Ukraine is divided and extremely weak. More about this subject in the article below.

At most, get in a few good Ukraine-born volunteers to advise the people, while you denounce the villiany of the attackers loudly and keep calling on Obama, Merkel and the world to call them off.
But do send in a dozen brave and good journalists sworn to give their lives if necessary to record what happens, together with technicians and equipment to transmit their feed. And get it up on YouTube, RT and other sites so all of Ukraine - and the world - can watch in real time.
