The Global Death Cross Just Got Deathier

Tyler Durden's picture

In the immortal words of Cher - "Do you believe in life after QE; I can feel something inside me say, "I really don't think you're strong enough, Now."

How does this end well?

That chart doesn't look right.  I can fix it with a crayon if you would like?

The really good news is that there is only 2 days until the fun begins all over again on Monday...

Remember those good old days in July 2013? Seems we could have avoided the cross then but something happened and the pump went on straight to the stratosphere...

The blog rules clearly state that you CANNOT quote Zerohedge as a proof point lest you be bludgeoned.

This is your second warning

Thank you in advance for your cooperation

William F. Buckley is dead and so is NR. They just don't know that they are a neo-con mouthpiece. Whatever happened to the "Mysoginists Corner"? Best column ever printed in a magazine.

The stock market is always forward looking. The rising nominal price reflects  NAV based on anticipated dollar devaluation.  In fact if you plot the stock market against a logarithmic scale based on currency devaluation Y axis it should look just fine. Tyler, how about getting to work on this analysis?

Perhaps the stock markets are merely anticipating the coming hyperinflation.

During the "boom times" when asset values are going up lots of people think they are getting rich. In inflationary times government also does well as tax revenues grow. Not only does government get to spend the money they print, the side effects of inflation on taxes are good for government, though bad for their subjects.

By a continuing process of inflation, government can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. said John Maynard Keynes. As the central banks print like crazy to control interest rates on bonds they devalue the currency. While there are not many Bond Vigilantes there are many Currency Vigilantes.

Changes in the value of a currency directly affect "buying power" and the value of assets. Inflation, deflation, what is something worth? These are all very important questions to consider going forward. The article below delves into how and when hyperinflation will strike.

Computer program of a market will glide on until the "stuxnet" reprogram is introduced with those in control well placed. Early 2015 is my guess after the election and Santa Clause rally. Who knows, they may go to after the 2016 election.
