Photos From The Ukraine Civil War: Casualties Reported In City Of Lugansk After Fighter Jet Attack

Tyler Durden's picture

Considering that even German publication Spiegel is now reporting that that "Vladimir Putin has won the propaganda war over Ukraine and the West is divided", it is hardly surprising that western coverage of the Ukraine civil war has ground to a halt: without a coherent agenda, the western propaganda machine is unsure of just what the right angle is in its coverage of Ukraine events, which is why as in the case of last summer's Syrian conflict coverage, the "free media" has simply decided to push back events in east Ukraine to the page 8, if cover it at all.

Unfortunately, for the locals in the separatist regions, while the west may now chose to simply close its eyes to the consequences of its intervention the civil war is all too real and deadly: as RIA reports, there were multiple casualties after a fighter jet attack struck the eastern city of Luhansk. "The assault was followed by heavy gunfire on the ground, causing panic among civilians." RT has more:

At least five people have been killed in the attack, according to RIA Novosti. Many wounded are still trapped inside the administration headquarters, which caught on fire. The death toll may rise.

The building façade has been seriously damaged. The wounded are being evacuated from the administration HQ. About six ambulance vehicles have arrived at the site.

Large blood stains inside the HQ could be seen on live-streaming video from the area, with pieces of glass and stones also visible on the floor. The camera operator was choking with smoke. On the outside, many windows are shattered, shell fragments covering the nearby area and dark plumes of smoke are coming from the fourth floor.

“The fire has engulfed the third and fourth floors of the building, and the windows have been blown out. There are shards of glass everywhere. I saw paramedics carrying people out of the entrance,” a witness told RT.

Minutes earlier, heavy machine-gun shooting was reported in the center of Lugansk, as fierce fighting between the local self-defense squads and Kiev forces renewed after a brief truce.

Kiev officials were quick to deny that Ukraine had launched a fighter jet attack against its own people: something which caused a quick and violent condemnation of the former Ukraine president and his even more prompt ouster.

So what is really going on in Lugansk? The following just released pictures should provide some perspective.

Perhaps there’s no better illustration on how you’ve missed the truth than when Americans were forced to choose their president between Barack Obama and John McCain.

Can you tell the difference between people who are alive and people who are dead? There are dead people in Ukraine because of the U.S. Can you tell the difference between that? Who flew that airplane? Where did the money come from for that fuel? If you can’t tell the difference, bring those people back to life.

________________________________________________________________________

Funny. It is indeed not surprising the coverage has ground to a halt but not for the causes written here.

'Americans' use harassment. They harass.

It is quiet. Then they come. It is quiet again. Then the come again. Then it is quiet again. Then they come again. Then it is quiet again. Then they come again.

The pattern is nothing new and has nothing to do with the lack of coherent (sic) agenda. Any evidence that 'americans' rely on an exhibited coherent agenda? What a claim after the recent events (over the last few years which might mean eternity for 'americans' since 'americanism' demands very short term memory)

The free press is an institution of the 'american' middle class, for the 'american' middle class, by the 'american' middle class.

The free press reports about everything and exerts its power by the intensity of coverage.

It is a harassment based strategy. They intensively cover a topic, making impossible to miss it. Everyone is plunged deep in it. Then comes a blackout. It is still covered but in the other news department. Then a new storm of intense coverage is unleashed.

It aims at undermining the opposition resilience. People are learned to price the moments of quiet the free press afford. They are learned to cherish moments of quiet.
Then the screeching comes back. It shows the free press is in charge. Moments of quietness only exist because the free press allows them.
It works the same as bombings. Bombing people at intervals (a method developed by 'americans') has devastating psychological effects. People start to fear quietness because quiet periods are just a prelud before more bombings. It is all quiet but people never rest because they cant rest. They must stay alert because the next bombing will come out of a quiet period.

Want to be quiet? Surrender to the free press demands.
Because, the free press, as a 'american' middle class institution is in control. They decide what the background noise people are dived in is going to be.

Comply or suffer.

There is zero ground to make a special case of the free press coverage because it fits the standard pattern of coverage by the free press.

Reading should have been enough. But 'americans' cant stand reality so...

The free press generates a background noise. Turning off the MSM wont do it because the noise generated is background noise. It is everywhere, pervades into everything.

One way to evade it would be total isolation like when closed in a sensory isolation tank.
It would be short term though because as soon one is out, one will once again be subjected to the background noise generated by the free press.

On the flipside, when performed on rather long time, sensory isolation damages human beings irreversibly. 'Americans' use it as a means of torture. One week, one month, and people cognitive abilities are partially destroyed.

The free press is not be summed up to the MSM.

What was this site talking about when the MSM were covering extensively the Ukraine crisis?

The incoming NAFTA or how 'americans' are going to blob up?

Yes another Tyler's pro-Putin article.

1. Even though US and EU sponsored overthrow of Yanukovich, it was long overdue and needed for Ukraine. The only reason Yanukovich won previous election as it was rigged and manipulated by Kremlin.

2. Eastern Ukraine always considered to be Ukraine and people there considered to be Ukranians and they are, even though they speak mostly Russian language with Ukranian accent and some ukranian words.

3. So called pro-russian forces in eastern Ukraine are nothing more than Putin sponsored Chechens, Dagistanis and other drunken fighters (idiots) from accross Russia.

4. Putin simply employing "Syrian card" in Ukraine. As US sponsors Al-Queda in Syria, Putin sponsors "rebels" in Ukraine.

5. Ukraine deserve to be better than Russia as people are more dynamic and will not stand up to oppression for too long in contrast to Russians, who will take it upto its ass.

The Ukrainians got into bed with the corrupt EU and Obama, that was their undoing.  I have no doubt Yanukovich was a Russian stooge, but they've gone from one stooge to another and now with lots of bloodshed.

On another point, why would Chechens and Dagistanis fight for Putin and the Russians after what Russia did in Chechnya?  After all, wasn't it these guys who threatened to disrupt the Olympics?

Wow! You're quite the useful idiot. I loved the phrase, "and other drunken fighters."

1) 43 countries oversaw the previous election, including the US. All signed off it was fair, and unrigged - unlike our stock market.

2) Obviously, they don't feel that having powers in Kiev who say they are going to outlaw Russian, and one of them adds she'd like to "nuke them," should cause any problems. Actually, it demonstrates that your analysis on the political climate lacks reality. The easterners are fighting for their lives.

3) On this one, you revel the troll mentality of a true stooge.

4) Maybe you missed the referendum in the east. This is a true, home-grown revolt to preserve their culture and their lives.

5) Again, you are an idiotic troll. Burn in Hades for your filth.

The only reason Yanukovich won previous election as it was rigged and manipulated by Kremlin.

This old chestnut again, which the Russophobes for some reason love to keep repeating. Even the OSCE said the 2010 elections were credible:

"Yesterday's vote was an impressive display of democratic elections. For everyone in Ukraine, this election was a victory. It is now time for the country's political leaders to listen to the people's verdict and make sure that the transition of power is peaceful and constructive," said João Soares, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Special Co-ordinator of the OSCE short-term observers.

Just emailed to the NY Times Foreign Desk editor:

Since I know I can count on the NY Times to bury the truth about the Ukraine, as it backs an oligarch criminal money launderer masquerading as the Chocolate King - BTW, tough break on your favorite, Yulia  Timoshenko, as Victoria's and Hillary's BFF is rejected for the second time as president - I thought I'd provide photos to you so that maybe in your darkest moments you can reach way deep down inside your conscience and ask how much longer you will allow yourselves to be useful idiots to the western oligarchs who caused all this carnage, with your help of course, a la Iraq's WMDs you lied to the world about:

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-06-02/photos-ukraine-civil-war-casualties-reported-city-lugansk-after-fighter-jet-attack

The use of fighter jets on civilians was the excuse for the NATO invasion of Kosovo, and the NATO liquidation of Libya as a functioning state - both actions which you backed.

So I know the world can count on you to point out this policy of NATO, and call for it to depose the government it imposed with $5-billion in US money supporting the country's overthrow of the legitimate government.

After all, if I can count on anything from the Times - it is the application of its philosophy consistently across all issues - just as you did in the issue of equal pay for equal work for Jill Abramson.

I now look forward to your application of the policies you backed in Kosovo, Iraq, and Libya, being applied to removing the neo-Nazis from power in Ukraine. The world knows it can count on the NY Times to stand up for putting war criminals away in prison forever.

View the photos, read the truth of events, and reach way, way, down inside yourself as you put together the news budget for tomorrow's paper . . .

Followup just sent to NY Times Foreign Desk editor:

In an email I sent a few minutes ago, I provided you a link so that you could see for yourself the truth of the massacre in Ukraine you refuse to publish. In the series of photos the link contained, there was one of a man holding a shotgun fighting the pro neo-Nazis forces from Kiev.

Down the photos you will see him dead in a stairwell. How did it happen?

I am sending you a link to a video broadcast that shows him snipered about one-third of the way through the video. It is repeated in slow-motion near the end of the video.

It will make a great series of vid caps for you to use, especially when the sniper's bullet hits his head, blowing his cap up into the air, and his brains everywhere.

This is the reality of what Nuland and her bosses - Clinton, Kerry, Obama, Dempsey, Brenner, and Clapper, have unleashed on these people. It is the reality you are too coward to show the world. You backed this slaughter by your backing of the coup; now show the world what you wrought.

That man's blood is on your hands. I hope it is also deeply embedded into your mind.

Good for you, and good luck with that. Not only has the New York Times been busted for faking news this year about Ukraine, but its U.S.S.R. reporter, Walter Duranty, covered up Stalin’s genocide of 7.5 million Ukrainians by forced famine in 1932-33.

America's emerging banker-financed Empire began raising “fears” about Putin’s Russia and its threat to the Jews even back in 2004 with the liberal New Republic, “a hard-line pro-Israel journal,” raising the fear that a growing body of Russian opinion could result in a “fascist state.”

“In fact,” writes Michael Piper in AFP, “in 2005—on Dec. 7, the anniversary of Pearl Harbor—both The Washington Post and The New York Times published heavy-handed attacks on Putin including a commentary announcing the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)…had convened a special task force on U.S. policy toward Russia.

“Not surprisingly, the CFR urged the U.S. to take a hard line toward Putin whose moves against the Jewish oligarchs were perceived as part of a troublesome ‘anti-democratic’ trend.”

Then, in 2008, The Economist’s Edward Lucas issued his book The New Cold War: Putin’s Russia and the Threat to the West, signaling that Putin was now considered a serious enemy. The Economist, of course, is the weekly voice of the Rothschild empire as The NY Times is the daily voice of the American Empire.

As such, the banker mouthpieces for war drone on…

on an "unrelated" note it looks like Russian may have finally pulled the trigger on putting nuclear capable forces on the border with Poland.

Russian Missile Troops Test-Fire Iskander Systems During Military Drills

© RIA Novosti. Aleksei Danichev 16:13 02/06/2014 Tags: Iskander, drills, Russia

MOSCOW, June 2 (RIA Novosti) – Russian armed forces are conducting a routine check of the military units in the country’s Western Military District, equipped with long-range high-precision Iskander missiles, the Ministry of Defense stated Monday.

From May 27 to June 5, missile troops of the Western Military District will take part in the war games together with the Long-Range Aviation Command. The troops are equipped with tactical ballistic missile system Iskander-M and long-range aircraft.

The main objective of the exercise is to train to engage vital targets with high-precision missiles and test the level of preparedness of various control systems and equipment responsible for electronic warfare and intelligence gathering. The efficiency of targeting will be evaluated by unmanned aircraft.

The Ministry of Defense did not specify in which region the exercise was taking place. Earlier the Russian government mentioned a possibility of deploying Iskander missiles to the Kaliningrad region, a westernmost Russian enclave in Europe surrounded by Poland and Lithuania.

In December last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the decision about placing Iskander missiles in Kaliningrad had not yet been made, with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov further explaining that “it’s up to the military to decide when there’s a need to deploy.”

The discussion about the deployment of Iskander missiles resumed this year after NATO’s statement about “unprecedented” activity of the US and NATO in Eastern Europe.

Russia’s tactical ballistic missile system Iskander is one of the country’s most powerful missiles stationed with the nation’s ground forces. Iskander missiles are nuclear-capable and can make use of different types of reentry vehicles to engage a wide range of targets, from enemy military units to underground command centers.

...another day, another large scale Russian military drill preparing for war with NATO.

Lovely kind of government that sends snipers and Sukhois to attack it's own people. If they had any faith in their own arguments or position they wouldn't feel a need to.

You american bitches have no sympathy at all. I went thru all garbadge you guys are writing here and didn't find even a one fucking word of sympathy to russian man, who was killed while defending his family and his land.

Don't worry, this will come to your country too, this will come to your city, to your street, to your neigbourhood, to your house and you will find no place to hide. Just be patient

"The Guardian reported: “A pro-Kremlin group runs a network of internet trolls, seeks to buy flattering coverage of Vladimir Putin and hatches plans to discredit opposition activists and media.” Since then the disinformation campaign has infested comment threads on numerous Western sites."

"comments are made by individuals ‘paid to troll, and to denigrate in abusive terms anyone criticising Russia or President Vladimir Putin.’"

"Some comment sections now resemble ‘a sea of incredibly aggressive and hostile users,” with the most obvious having created accounts since February 2014, the date on which the Russian government began to flood the sites (Chris Elliott in The Guardian, 4 May 2014)."

"Kremlin controlled media is involved in an onslaught of rhetoric aimed against Ukraine and designed to confuse and persuade audiences in Russia, in Ukraine, and particularly in the West."

"disinformation is being spread about Ukrainian "atrocities" in what appears to many observers to be a Russian military and propaganda buildup for war against Ukraine."

"Russian authorities are unabashedly cleansing the media landscape of independent voices that have the power to shape minds..."
