GM CEO Mary Barra "My Bad, All Fixed Now Though" Congressional Hearing - Live Feed
Following the release of the "deeply troubling" 315-page "Valukas Report" and the firing of 'all' those responsible for multiple deaths from GM's 'Kevorkianesque' cars, CEO Mary Barra is back on the Hill to face the music once more from The Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. Having explained in her previous testimony that she could answer their questions as she did not have the information, Subcommittee Chairman Tim Murphy (R-PA) noted, now "we will have the chance to get those answers and compare the company's findings to our own." Of course, one wonders if the politicians will ask about how GM silenced a whistleblower.

Memorandum from Ranking Member Henry A. Waxman, "The GM Ignition Switch Recall: Investigation Update" (June 17, 2014).
With all the recalls and inventory, how long can they keep prices the way they are?
Drove by one of the largest chevy lots I've seen on a sunny weekend. NO ONE was there.
Time to cut cut cut
Cut? GM is a jobs program, you silly Oaf.
This is what happens when you put a woman in charge of anything to do with cars.
Well, it's a good thing we ended "too big to fail"...
oh wait...
fuck.
Any bets on how many times GM will be 'saved' before they finally disapear?
But look at the bright side, Chevy truck month has morphed to Chevy truck quarter.
DP
They will never disappear. Ever watch the Michael Keaton movie "Gung Ho?" I expect to see GM producing shells of cars just like they did in order to meet a magic quota.
Meanwhile all of these shells of cars will be used to prop-up GM's bond market, all in order to grease the palms of everyone who needs to get paid for this failure.
Thinking about all the recalls, isn't GM producing shells of cars right now?
it will take as much money as can possibly be sifened off from us and given to the auto "so-called" workers union to keep them voting for the scumbags in D.C. and up until they have completely finished moving all GM production and factory equipment over to China.
They already used many billions out of the first "bail-out" to move 100% of all Cadilac production over to China. And the media kept completely quiet about it. So did the unions because they were bought off with the many other billions.
Result? More lazy-ass, fuckhead union non-workers who got lazier than usual and who now produce an even worse product then before the bail-out. Hence the massive multi-millions of recalls due to their shitty work.
It's all a big pay off and a scam and eventually everything will be shut down in America and moved to China and other Asian or Indonesian countries.
The older pension workers of the unions won't care because they will have been guaranteed their fucking pensions while the younger workers won't get shit and will be told to just be glad to have what's left of a job for a little while longer until the 30 million Mexicans invading our borders have completely taken over what's left of the labor market.
And the transission and destruction of America that obama was brought in to finalize will then be complete. Hopefully, the sheeple will wake up before this happens and the civil war will restore our republic and wipe out the D.C. scum.
I just don't see a substantial awakening yet at this point, because like with so many horrible things coming straight at people, just like deer in the headlights, they won't snap out of their normalcy bias until after the shit hits the fan and they've been run over by those U.N. MRAPS and a Red Dawn scenario is taking place.
Then people will wake up and get pissed. Hope that we who will be considered the III Percenters are still viable and ready to rock when that day comes.
When things start to unravel..bring on the broads!
Billary '16 !!
It was nothing personal, it was only business.
You wouldn't hit a woman, would you?
i wouldn't. but id be happy to send my wife to knock the shit out of her.
Maybe GM learned their lesson to stop outsourcing parts to Mehico and go back to making things locally/in-house again.
Funny how in the name of "cutting costs", outsourcing part production ended up costing GM more.
Never happen. GM is a financial entity, NOT a manufacturer.
She is gong to get off from being on the hook. The Congressional hearing will be a spectacle.
Failed to inform customers of the deadly problem.... we are d00med
What respectable person says to Congress when addressing their fault of running a tax payer bailed out corporation back into the ground, "My bad."
What respectable person would be in charge of GM?
my bad what?
My bad mistake, my bad criminal activity, my bad dress sense?
You are bad at sentence construction, that's for sure!
"Hey, back off all you jerks... we're a different GM now"
She should drag out a bearded designer and proudly proclaim that they've apprehended to the culprit, a la the obamao admin.
I own a buick. After I'm killed in it, I'm gonna sue like hell.
Bad writing: 'Kevorkianesque'. Kevorkian was a doctor who euthanized dying people volunatraily. Obviously this has nothing to do with GM. Why do writers use grossly inexact metaphors? For effect, of course. Bad journalism, though.
"My bad" was her attempt to be cool and trivialize mismanagement that resulted in the loss of dozens of lives and the eventual recall of tens of millions of GM vehicles.
Her version of "The buck stops here, not really, just kidding - the buck stopped with the engineers and lawyers I fired hoping to save my own butt"
It's not your parent's GM
My grandfather used to always joke about needing a tetanus shot before he could ride in a Chevy (something about them being rust buckets...)
I guess nothing really ever changes..
I didn't get a harrumph outta that guy.
Blazing saddles reference? Harrumph! I say!
If we have capitalism then product liability is a matter for courts.
Only in Communist/Socialist/National-Socialist country are the daily operations and conduct of a private company subject to legislative review.
If you want government preemptive regulation then you have to eat the whole totalitarian enchilada: Bailouts, Lack of Civil Liberties, Concentration Camps and all.
At least she has a bigger pair than the golf pro. For taking some heat.
WHY WOULD ANYONE buy a GM product....
Generally, although there are exceptions, women in positions of power, expected to lead men, bring bad things to the cause they purport to be leading. They are vindictive, venal, backstabbing, and genetically not outfitted with a sense of honor.
This is because they are deeply insecure about being in the position in the first place. They know they do not belong there. Oh, but thousands of years of history lessons have been wiped clean in the course of the last 40 years by a gaggle of shrill feminists ?
Penis envy. They don't got dicks. Most of them.
How inthe world GM's stock in only -13% YTD instead of -50% is completely beyond me.
The first car I ever stole was a Chevy Camaro.
Went AWOL just out of Basic.
A thousand miles from Lackland, the water pump broke on my way to Canada.
In some ways, that busted Chevy, made me the person I am today.
Thanks Chevy!
"Anything you want".
"I want my father back you son of a bitch".
