Hillary's Book Sales Crash After 1st Week; Reviews Disastrous
While Piketty's book was divisive, the reviews of Hillary Clinton's new book "Hard Choices" are downright one-sided - and terrible. That likely explains why, as AP reports, sales have crashed 44% after an already disappointing first week. "Hard Choices" sold just 48,000 copies in its 2nd week; and following the same dismal path as Greenspan, Cramer, and Geithner; has been discounted 40% on Amazon already.
Sales for Hillary Rodham Clinton's "Hard Choices" dropped sharply in its second week of publication, but her memoir remains the country's most popular adult nonfiction book.
According to Nielsen BookScan numbers released Wednesday, "Hard Choices" sold just over 48,000 copies last week, compared to around 85,000 the previous week. The figures do not include e-book sales. Publisher Simon & Schuster, which had announced that total first-week sales exceeded 100,000 copies, declined Wednesday to offer any numbers on the second week.
Sales are far behind the pace of her previous memoir, "Living History," which came out in 2003 and sold around 600,000 copies its first week.

Here's an old trick that publisher?'s use: an unknown buyer request 100k copies and warehouses`them... to be later (~ years later) sold in ALL-4-a-$ stores. The buyer has many an anonymous (lets say five?) names, so he/she could purchase under five different aliases 500k of a soon to be... Hillary's Best Seller, which is a POS!!!
The trick is influence and deep-pockets!
The 100K 'sales' were basically pre-orders of books bought by stores to stock up their shelves, which are no doubt stacked with copies that no one is actually buying.

I came to this opinion a few weeks ago and I think I mentioned it somewhere on these pages just recently. The Democrats don't really have a viable candidate for the next time around. This is good news for the Republicans, until you remember the old maxim that there is nothing Republicans can't eff up.
It's pretty sad, really, for the Republicans have a royal road to victory staring them right in the face. All they have to do is make ending immigration the sole plank in their party platform and beat that drum like there's no tomorrow, and they will win the presidency and both houses of congress.
