ISIS Declares A Caliphate; Crucifies 9 Syrian Rebels For Being "Too Moderate"

Tyler Durden's picture

Erstwhile leader of ISIS, Sheikh Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi has declared himself Caliphate, Amir Al-Mu'minin - Leader of Believers, as militants bear down on Baghdad. This comes as the extremist group demands that all Al-Qaeda and Jihadi branches must now pledge allegiance to ISIS.. if not there are consequences as nine rebels have been crucified for being too 'moderate' or accused of receiving support from Western powers. We suspect this may slow 'demand' for Obama's latest cunning plan to offer 'aid' to only "moderate" terrorists.

ISIS have declared their Caliphate.

Which means...

And all Al-Qaeda and Jihadis must pledge allegiance to ISIS

As a reminder, this is how ISIS envisions its Caliphate:

Or fear death for being too moderate... (as RT reports)

Eight rebel fighters have been crucified in Syria by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) because they were considered too moderate, a monitoring group said on Sunday.

The eight men were brutally killed in the town square of Deir Hafar in the east of Aleppo province on June 28 because they were from rebel groups that had fought the jihadists as well as President Bashar Assad’s forces, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, AFP reports.

ISIS then “crucified them in the main square of the village, where their bodies will remain for three days,” the pro-opposition NGO added.

A ninth man was crucified alive in Aleppo province where he was nailed up for eight hours in Al-Bab near the Turkish border as a punishment, although he has reportedly survived the ordeal.

We suspect there will not be too many takers for President Obama's newly unveiled plan to offer "aid" to "moderate" Syrian rebels... Red line?

As Reuters reports, better not hold your hand out for Western support...

The men were accused of being "Sahwa" fighters, the Observatory said, a term ISIL uses to refer to rival combatants whom it accuses of being controlled by Western powers.

Jefferson believed in the Rights of Man...but he knew he had to have law to make it work. In the end he had to free his own slaves. "That was the only way his system could war." Biblical law had no issue with enslavement. Actual "American" law however saw this as a serious problem.

Interesting that you can't see through the difference.

Jefferson also believed in Jeremy Bentham's utilitarianism, which pursued the greatest happiness.

John Locke's tripartite "Life, Liberty, and Property" was changed in the Declaration of Independence to "Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness."

Maybe Jefferson "had to free his own slaves" but he only ever freed 2 of them in his lifetime (Sally Hemming's older brothers).

He died not having freed his slaves because he was in debt -typical Democrat who loved to hate the black man and who made others pay for his debts (and don't give me that BS about no difference between democrats and republicans, because the d-rats fought to maintain slavery, invented the klan, and made segregation the law of the land (Plessy vs Ferguson - 1896).

Your "stateless" anarcho-nuttery, which leads to despotism and tyranny as it did in Communist Russia, has nothing to do with liberty.

• "Our falling into anarchy would decide forever the destinies of mankind, and seal the political heresy that man is incapable of self-government." ~Thomas Jefferson, to John Hollins, 1811

• "The voluntary support of laws, formed by persons of their own choice, distinguishes peculiarly the minds capable of self-government. The contrary spirit is anarchy, which of necessity produces despotism." ~Thomas Jefferson to Philadelphia Citizens, 1809

<< Ayn Rand received social security benefits in her old age. She is a hypocrite. >>

My views on hypocrisy are informed by Niel Stephenson, and I quote from his novel "The Diamond Age."

Here's looking at you, kidspin:

"People are naturally censorious and love nothing better than to criticise others’ shortcomings. And so it was that they seized on hypocrisy and elevated it from a ubiquitous peccadillo into the monarch of all vices. For, you see, even if there is no right and wrong, you can find grounds to criticise another person by contrasting what he has espoused with what he has actually done. In this case, you are not making any judgment whatsoever as to the correctness of his views or the morality of his behaviour—you are merely pointing out that he has said one thing and done another. Virtually all political discourse in the days of my youth was devoted to the ferreting out of hypocrisy.

“That we occasionally violate our own stated moral code does not imply that we are insincere in espousing that code.”

@ Top Gear - So we know that you can quote others like nobody else. You have elevated plagiarism to an art form. But what about you? What do you really think? Can you write one single comment without spewing someone else's thoughts or linking to Wikiwhatever or some other source? It's obvious that you have allowed others to do your thinking for you. Have you been to the Middle East? I doubt it. Because if you had your tune might change a bit. The US has done nothing but foment hate and discord there for decades. When I was in Iran in 1977 - yes, I've actually been there, Bushehr to be exact - Iranians had nothing unkind to say about Americans except that its government had overthrown the leader they elected in 1953 and they wanted to know why. I had no good answer because at the time like most other graduates of the public schools I didn't know about the CIA and MI-6 involvement in a coup. It did open my eyes however.

Let's see if you can write a single paragraph without quoting someone else. Show us all the real Top Gear. Use that pseudo intellect to write something that somebody else didn't originate.

I have noticed many photos of ISIS insurgents carrying M-4 carbines, which is odd. The M-4 is the standard weapon of the US Army. The Iraqi army was, and is still, equiped wiht the AKM (what we for some reason call the AK-47). The AKM costs between $300 and $400 on the black market in the Middle East, depending upon condition. The M-4 costs $1,500 to $2,000, or about half a year's income to one of these yahoo's. The AKM is popular because of it's cost, reliability, and low maintenance requirments. In addition, ammo is much cheaper. You can feed all kinds of crap through an AKM. The M-4 is more difficult and costly to purchase, maintain and operate, but is much superior if properly cared for.

But I wonder, who is giving all those guys expensive M-4 carbines? Seriously. Inquiring minds should want to know.

The current state of affairs in the Middle East is actually troglodyte vs. troglodyte and they certainly seem to be doing a pretty good job of exterminating each other.  Cheer them on.  When it looks like any one side is about to be victorious, give the other side some more powerful weaponry to even the odds.  If we could somehow rescue the Christians in the region (Maybe take them to Mexico), then this sub-spore species of Muslim pig feces can build all the Caliphate their little pointed hearts desire.  Let them build a safe haven for themselves and all like them.  Once we know where the majority are, treat them to some free megaton samples.

Many in the Pentagon are addicted to Child Porn...

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/upshot/pentagon-declined-investigate-hundreds-purchases-child-pornography.html

NOTE THAT THE US MILITARY DECLINED TO INVESTIGATE. I wonder why?

Pentagon declined to investigate hundreds of purchases of child pornography

The Upshot

A 2006 Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigation into the purchase of child pornography online turned up more than 250 civilian and military employees of the Defense Department -- including some with the highest available security clearance -- who  used credit cards or PayPal to purchase images of children in sexual situations. But the Pentagon investigated only a handful of the cases, Defense Department records show.

The cases turned up during a 2006 ICE inquiry, called Project Flicker, which targeted overseas processing of child-porn payments. As part of the probe, ICE investigators gained access to the names and credit card information of more than 5,000 Americans who had subscribed to websites offering images of child pornography. Many of those individuals provided military email addresses or physical addresses with Army or fleet ZIP codes when they purchased the subscriptions.

In a related inquiry, the Pentagon's Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) cross-checked the ICE list against military databases to come up with a list of Defense employees and contractors who appeared to be guilty of purchasing child  pornography. The names included staffers for the secretary of defense, contractors for the ultra-secretive National Security Agency, and a program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. But the DCIS opened investigations into only 20 percent of the individuals identified, and succeeded in prosecuting just a handful.

The Boston Globe first reported the Pentagon's role in Project Flicker in July, citing DCIS investigative reports (PDF) showing that at least 30 Defense Department employees were investigated.

But new Project Flicker investigative reports obtained by The Upshot through the Freedom of Information Act, which you can read here, show that DCIS investigators identified 264 Defense employees or contractors who had purchased child pornography online. Astonishingly, nine of those had "Top Secret Sensitive Compartmentalized Information" security clearances, meaning they had access to the nation's most sensitive secrets. All told, 76 of the individuals had Secret or higher clearances. But DCIS investigated only 52 of the suspects, and just 10 were ever charged with viewing or purchasing child pornography. Without greater public disclosure of how these cases wound down, it's impossible to know how or whether any of the names listed in the Project Flicker papers came in for additional scrutiny. It's conceivable that some of them were picked up by local law enforcement, but it seems likely that most of the people flagged by the investigation did not have their military careers disrupted in the context of the DCIS inquiry.

That is the US Military at it's finest. AND YOU TOP GEAR...AsSOCIATE WITH PEDOPHILES OR ARE A FUCKING PEDOPHILE.

Now let's go hunting. I am looking forward to seeing you, you NSA asshole.

Private Property is based on the Bible, if John Locke is to be considered.

"...Or Revelation, which gives us an account of those Grants God made of the World to Adam, and to Noah, and his Sons, 'tis very clear, that God, as King David says, Psal. CXV. xvi. has given the Earth to...make out Property, upon a supposition, that God gave the World to Adam..."

No GoinFawr. Atheists, as yourself, pretend to have reason while irrationally wagering on infinitesimal chances. LMAO.

The odds that the Universe was created by chaance approach that of ZERO, an impossibility. In fact there are not enough particles in the entire known Universe to write a Zero upon to represent the odds of a chance Universal manifestation.

According to Quantum Theory it is much more likely that you will materialize on Mars tommorow morning, TRILLIONS OF TIMES more likely, than that of a chance manifestation of the Physical Universe. Yet I do not believe that you will be wearing a Pressure Suit with an Oxygen Supply wagering upon that happenstance.

And yet you so desparately want to believe in a chance manifestation of the Universe that you abandon all Mathematical Reason to promote that view. If the Universe was a Chance Manifestation then you can deny a Designer. And yet the odds of that are almost infinitesimal at best.

It might behoove you to read what the Physicist Roger Penrose has calculated. Now the physicist is a man of reason while the atheist is just a man of misplaced faith. Penrose is just one of the greatest physicists of the last and current centuries.

The atheist it an anathema to the ideal of Reason.
