White House Dictates: $3.8 Billion Needed To Stem The Surge Of Immigrants
At almost double the $2 billion that many had expected, The Washington Post reports that The White House will request $3.8 billion from Congress in emergency funding to deal with an influx of unaccompanied minors from Central America. Funds would be allocated to send more immigration judges to the southern border, build additional detention facilities and add border patrol agents, to help stem the recent surge of women and children from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

As The Washington Post reports,
The White House on Tuesday will request $3.8 billion from Congress in emergency funding to deal with an influx of unaccompanied minors from Central America, a far higher amount that the Obama administration had previously signaled, according to a Capitol Hill source familiar with the plans.

Funds would be allocated to send more immigration judges to the southern border, build additional detention facilities and add border patrol agents, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the administration had not formally made the request.
The move is aimed at more quickly deporting the tens of thousands of women and children who have entered the country illegally across the souther border, most of them in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas.

More than 52,000 unaccompanied minors and 39,00 women with children have been apprehended on the southern border this year, far more than in past years.

The notion of hiring more judges and generally spending more money for legal processing, when most illegals simply fail to appear in court later, is a real smack in the face given the refusal to hire more border agents.

That the US government would sue to stop a state from assisting in enforcing immigration law blew my mind. It is the same historic tendency made systematic by statists (belief in having rulers and central planners) that happens to all prosperous countries, "states," or empires (which have wealth and have gone beyond basic self-sufficiency, i.e. surplus). They all eventually end up being "targeted" and looted.
The entire sum should be dedicated for leasing a fleet of passenger jets providing daily (hourly if necessary) one-way flights to the main airport of the country of origin for any "undocumented" aliens crossing the border.
After debarking these folks at the airport, it would become that government's problem to solve. I suspect only a matter of weeks would elapse before the invasion died down to a tiny trickle of only those remaining few who didn't get the memo circulating on the streets back home.
In the specific case of minor children whose parents are in another country, they should have no standing to claim "political" sanctuary. They should be reunited with those parents without delay -- and without exception.
If the parents can afford to pay coyotes 3-5 grand per head to smuggle their children through Mexico to the US, they can also afford to care for those children. The drug lords love this business also since it distracts border control resources away from enforcement against their drug trafficking operations. A win-win for them. A lose-lose for the US.
I know a gentleman of pure Mexican descent whose grandfather legally emigrated here.
He's not very happy about this situation. I personally like Mexicans a lot, but I do not like this illegitimate regime using this as a wedge issue for political gain, or the way they just blatantly disregard the law putting our entire nation at risk.
Illegally enter any other country, and you'll rue the day you did it. I think half of our nation has crack addled brains.

Didn't every agency known to man just arm up to the gills? I think they have the hardware needed to solve this problem real quick. They purchased enough ammo over the past couple years to take out all of mexico as they cross.
