NSA Whistleblower Speaks: "The Ultimate Goal is Total Population Control"
Submitted by Mike Krieger of Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,
At least 80% of fibre-optic cables globally go via the U.S. This is no accident and allows the US to view all communication coming in. At least 80% of all audio calls, not just metadata, are recorded and stored in the US. The NSA lies about what it stores.
- NSA Whistleblower Bill Binney
Long-time readers of Liberty Blitzkrieg will be no strangers to Bill Binney, one of the earliest NSA whistleblowers. Well before anyone had ever heard of Edward Snowden, in July 2012, I posted the following: NSA Whistleblower: U.S. Government Creating Dossiers on Millions of Citizens. In it, I noted:
Bill Binney is no joke. He worked for the NSA for 30 years before resigning because of concerns he had regarding illegal spying on U.S. citizens in 2001. It seems that the claim I and many others have made for years, that the “War on Terror” is a gigantic fraud used to instill fear and further the creation of an unconstitutional surveillance state in America is absolutely true. The “terrorists” they have declared war on are the American people themselves.
Mr. Binney thankfully has never stopped fighting for The Constitution that he swore to defend, unlike most other government officials who happily stomp all over the basic civil liberties enshrined in our founding document. He had some very choice words recently and it would be wise for all of us on planet earth to pay very close attention. We learn from the Guardian that:
William Binney is one of the highest-level whistleblowers to ever emerge from the NSA. He was a leading code-breaker against the Soviet Union during the Cold War but resigned soon after September 11, disgusted by Washington’s move towards mass surveillance.
“At least 80% of fibre-optic cables globally go via the US”, Binney said. “This is no accident and allows the US to view all communication coming in. At least 80% of all audio calls, not just metadata, are recorded and stored in the US. The NSA lies about what it stores.”
The NSA will soon be able to collect 966 exabytes a year, the total of internet traffic annually. Former Google head Eric Schmidt once argued that the entire amount of knowledge from the beginning of humankind until 2003 amount to only five exabytes.
He praised the revelations and bravery of former NSA contractor Edward Snowden and told me that he had indirect contact with a number of other NSA employees who felt disgusted with the agency’s work. They’re keen to speak out but fear retribution and exile, not unlike Snowden himself, who is likely to remain there for some time.
It shows that the NSA is not just pursuing terrorism, as it claims, but ordinary citizens going about their daily communications. “The NSA is mass-collecting on everyone”, Binney said, “and it’s said to be about terrorism but inside the US it has stopped zero attacks.”
“The Fisa court has only the government’s point of view”, he argued. “There are no other views for the judges to consider. There have been at least 15-20 trillion constitutional violations for US domestic audiences and you can double that globally.”
Binney recently told the German NSA inquiry committee that his former employer had a “totalitarian mentality” that was the “greatest threat” to US society since that country’s US Civil War in the 19th century. Despite this remarkable power, Binney still mocked the NSA’s failures, including missing this year’s Russian intervention in Ukraine and the Islamic State’s take-over of Iraq.
With evidence that there could be a second NSA leaker, the time for more aggressive reporting is now. As Binney said: “I call people who are covering up NSA crimes traitors”.

can't be said enough

not said nearly enough because telling the truth as to Israel and its 5th column is "anti-Semitic." But given the above, plus aipac and adl and jinsa and the neocons...
Sometimes the best place to hide is out in the open.
A wise man once told me to mentally convert that term to "counter-Zionist" claiming there is magick in words.
Not sure I take it 100% seriously, but I get the gist. Hive mind, and such... that's what is controlled through mass/social media norms, controlled by... people who desperately need to hide the truth.
Dum dee dum.
It took quite an effort getting that into place and though I tried to edit it, I could not see the C&P portion; it was invisible. Decided to leave alone and see if anyone actually read it :). It's the display of superiority to the G o y i m and the statements recorded stating as much, along with where they'd really like to see us. I do think there is disregard for human life that is difficult not to notice, except when it is their lives. They have thrown a wrench into the works and now we have to clean it up. And many of us will not make it through this collapse alive. This stress is sending many people to their grave. I don't really care anymore about offending anyone. The elephant in the room is Israel firsters.
Well...
Nobody's perfect.
Even AI fuckheads.
I'm not sure if "Colossus" could be much worse than what we've got right now.
Methinks they'll name it The Beast.
No, but if they ever get hold of a smarter-than-human inorganic consciousness, make thousands or millions of copies, and set them to the task of analysis of all that content... well... goodbye mankind.
I wonder what would happen if they didn't have water for a week or so, what would that do?
How about no power for week or so?
Lake Meade drying up must be screwing up their plans.
Water and power in one hit.
The govt. motto of 'why build one, when two is only twice the price",prolly applies.
So where is the backup to the backup ?
Odd goings on in San Antonio, TX.

Yea, with a big bullseye on the roof top.
Frankly, it is the attempt to build an electronic God-machine. It would be the omniscient electronic monitor and assemble your life, as Binney says on request. It will then judge you through the NSA.
This is the power source that every dictator since the beginning of time has desired. It gives the sociopathic, megalomaniacal, control freaks what they have always wanted and a woody to go with it.
You can theorize about only "good" people running the system but this is crack cocaine to anyone short of a saint. Just a hunch but the people running it will not be saints.
These are the same programmers that created the Obamacare site right?
No.
Could have fooled me. I don't know many good programmers hanging out in suits or uniforms for the .gov types...
That gives Obunga Care ® a whole new meaning... Death panels don't seem so far fetched.
Death panels for healthy people deemed "politically insane" are not too far fetched either.
I remember when the Patriot Act was passed not long after 9/11. Seemed like MASSIVE over-reach to me even at the time, even given what had transpired. I thought "this law is going to be horrendously abused to surveil and spy on US citizens 20-30 years from now."
I was wrong.
Only 10 years later and I don't even recognize our country. Much worse and much faster than I had expected.
"Only 10 years later and I don't even recognize our country. Much worse and much faster than I had expected."
I couldnt agree more!
think condi rice...
I agree in your conclusion but I don't think everything started on 9/11 as if nothing was there on 9/10. The State has been growing exponentially in it's reach since the middle of the last century. Our response to absolutist states like the USSR has been to become more like them to fight them. Now, it is following it's natural evolution and will turn inward on us.
Still, 9/11 is key. Without it as a justification for tyranny and a rallying point for the growing Darkness, the 70% of Americans living in the moral grey zone would lose their way. 9/11 is like the Spawn's Mothership, the Queen of the Hive Mind, sending out its tyranny control signal to all the zombies who are tuned in.
Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth
To paraphrase another member of Fight Club, 9/11 will be remembered as the milestone that kicked off a new Era of Endarkenment.
The US invaded Vietnam well before 9/11. The US also established colonies well before the federal reserve was established.
Yes. That is true. But does that invalidate his proposition?
The greatest assualt on Civil Liberties DURING THE TIME WHEN WE HAVE BEEN ALIVE was 9/11.
Certainly the injustices of Lincoln upon the citizens and the suspension of Habeas Corpus was outrageous during the Civil War. But Liberty was restored to a lesser degree afterwards.
Certainly the Alien and Sedition Acts in World War I were an assault on Liberty. But Liberty was restored to a lesser degree afterwards.
Certainly the Vietnam War had grievious assaults on Civil Liberties. Some of those were also restored to a lesser degree afterwards.
But as for 9/11 and the Patriot Acts???
Liberty has not been restored but is continually and progressively being eroded as we slide further into the darkness, the abyss, of Tyranny.
(OT...And as for me "not knowing" that printing up FRAUD and exporting it to China is that which we have been doing? Well when China does it back, then it STILL DOES NOT MAKE IT RIGHT. The entire system needs to collapse as it is built upon the shaky foundation of FRAUD and DECEIT. It needs to be OVERTHROWN. And I will do my best to educate others on the methods. Maybe you need to put your knowledge of Physics to use and do likewise. Anything other than that is SUPPORT OF THE CORRUPTION.)
OT...For stable aerodynamic flight the Center of Gravity needs to be, must be, forward of the Center of Pressure in the direction of flight. Generally One Half Caliber (the diameter of the Airframe) is sufficient. This is true of Aircraft and also for Rockets. This is why RPGs are Forward Heavy. This is a Public Service Announcement.

If it happens, depopulation, then I vow three things: 1. Not to go out with a wimper, 2.) Help their depopulation effort by pink-slipping as many of their pretorian guard as possible, and 3. take at least one swing for the fences and try to bag at least one of the upper management before they recycle me.
Couple of interesting little tidbits. This service must scare these guys considering what paypal did.
http://pando.com/2014/07/01/why-does-paypal-keep-freezing-the-accounts-o...
A group of researchers currently seeking funding for a secure email service, ProtonMail, today revealed that it will no longer be able to receive funds via PayPal, which suspended its account on Monday and will not restore it until it the proposed email service’s legality is determined.
...
ProtonMail was launched by a group of Harvard and MIT students in response to the Snowden leaks, which made them “freaked out” about privacy issues, according to the outfit’s founder, Jason Stockman. The irony here, of course, is that Pierre Omidyar, chairman of PayPal, also funds and publishes The Intercept, whose star writers Glenn Greenwald and Laura Poitras are the only two journalists in possession of the complete cache of the Snowden NSA secrets.
...
No they aren't, wikileaks also has copies if anyone was paying attention....
...
And this is reason why they are trying to stop protonmail.
http://protonmail.ch/pages/security-details
....
Zero Access to User Data.Your data is never accessible to us.
ProtonMail's segregated authentication and decryption system means logging into a ProtonMail account that requires two passwords. The first password is used to authenticate the user and retrieve the correct account. After that, encrypted data is sent to the user. The second password is a decryption password which is never sent to us. It is used to decrypt the user’s data in the browser so we never have access to the decrypted data, or the decryption password. For this reason, we are also unable to do password recovery. If you forget your decryption password, we cannot recover your data.
...
End-to-End Encryption.Messages are fully encrypted at all times.
Messages are stored on ProtonMail servers in encrypted format. They are also transmitted in encrypted format between our server and users’ browsers. Messages between ProtonMail users are transmitted in encrypted form completely within our secured server network. Because they never leave our secured environment, there is no possibility to intercept the encrypted messages enroute.
...
There is more but those are 2 of the bigger reasons.
If you angel investors are looking to invest money these are the types of companies that need your capitol if you believe in creating a more free and open world. They pissed off paypal and we know who's asscrack Omar has his lips firmly planted in. That they don't like these guys tells you something right there and they take bitcoin if anyone wants to donate.
Another interesting take on this is YaCy. Services like this will make those EU right to disappear aka scrub unflattering information from the network obsolete and foolish.
http://yacy.net/en/index.html
YaCy is a free search engine that anyone can use to build a search portal for their intranet or to help search the public internet. When contributing to the world-wide peer network, the scale of YaCy is limited only by the number of users in the world and can index billions of web pages. It is fully decentralized, all users of the search engine network are equal, the network does not store user search requests and it is not possible for anyone to censor the content of the shared index. We want to achieve freedom of information through a free, distributed web search which is powered by the world's users.
...
This is the direction things are going if you believe in freedom put your money into building infrastructures that promote it and stop wasting your money on saving things that don't.
Thanks for this one.
Google are Internet Monitoring Central at the moment. If you run firefox, install the light LightBeam addon and you'll see that almost every web site you hit links back to Google's servers (whether it is google, doubleclick or other domain they own), either for search, or for javascript libraries.
And the other tidbit most people don't consider is dns with things like dns leaks using vpn and the ability to track browsing habits by tracking dns requests. One of the ways around it besides the leak part is to use free security conscious dns servers like opennic or opendns for example ones that don't keep any logs for starters then there is encrypted dns like this.
http://www.opendns.com/about/innovations/dnscrypt/
Background: The need for a better DNS securityDNS is one of the fundamental building blocks of the Internet. It’s used any time you visit a website, send an email, have an IM conversation or do anything else online. While OpenDNS has provided world-class security using DNS for years, and OpenDNS is the most secure DNS service available, the underlying DNS protocol has not been secure enough for our comfort. Many will remember the Kaminsky Vulnerability, which impacted nearly every DNS implementation in the world (though not OpenDNS).
That said, the class of problems that the Kaminsky Vulnerability related to were a result of some of the underlying foundations of the DNS protocol that are inherently weak — particularly in the “last mile.” The “last mile” is the portion of your Internet connection between your computer and your ISP. DNSCrypt is our way of securing the “last mile” of DNS traffic and resolving (no pun intended) an entire class of serious security concerns with the DNS protocol. As the world’s Internet connectivity becomes increasingly mobile and more and more people are connecting to several different WiFi networks in a single day, the need for a solution is mounting.
There have been numerous examples of tampering, or man-in-the-middle attacks, and snooping of DNS traffic at the last mile and it represents a serious security risk that we’ve always wanted to fix. Today we can.
...
3. What about DNSSEC? Does this eliminate the need for DNSSEC?
No. DNSCrypt and DNSSEC are complementary. DNSSEC does a number of things. First, it provides authentication. (Is the DNS record I’m getting a response for coming from the owner of the domain name I’m asking about or has it been tampered with?) Second, DNSSEC provides a chain of trust to help establish confidence that the answers you’re getting are verifiable. But unfortunately, DNSSEC doesn’t actually provide encryption for DNS records, even those signed by DNSSEC. Even if everyone in the world used DNSSEC, the need to encrypt all DNS traffic would not go away. Moreover, DNSSEC today represents a near-zero percentage of overall domain names and an increasingly smaller percentage of DNS records each day as the Internet grows.
That said, DNSSEC and DNSCrypt can work perfectly together. They aren’t conflicting in any way. Think of DNSCrypt as a wrapper around all DNS traffic and DNSSEC as a way of signing and providing validation for a subset of those records. There are benefits to DNSSEC that DNSCrypt isn’t trying to address. In fact, we hope DNSSEC adoption grows so that people can have more confidence in the entire DNS infrastructure, not just the link between our customers and OpenDNS.
4. Is this using SSL? What’s the crypto and what’s the design?
We are not using SSL. While we make the analogy that DNSCrypt is like SSL in that it wraps all DNS traffic with encryption the same way SSL wraps all HTTP traffic, it’s not the crypto library being used. We’re using elliptic-curve cryptography, in particular the Curve25519 elliptic curve. The design goals are similar to those described in the DNSCurve forwarder design.

Setting stuff like this up is fairly simple and effective steps people can do now to take back their privacy.
I get/send all of my secret messages by using steganographic methods over at Xhamster.com...
That is technically one way to do it aka hiding in plain site even if you are just being facetious here.
Many years ago I used to encrypt files using a simple method by simply using a program that would change the character set of the file name and folder from ascii to ebcdic on windows machines since the folder or file would become unreadable and people would think a few sectors were hosed on the hard drive.
DCH - You are throwing some good insight today - thanks. People need to learn about this. Some day it may come in handy. No time for tech support if SHTF!
MASSIVE, MASSIVE red flag.
One wonders, do the NSA front line plebs know they will also be the victims of their handlers or are they full retard?
Combination but it is a distinction without a difference. Colaboraters are just collaborators. Either group is aware of their actions and potential repurcusions if they loose power. As they love to tell you, ignorance iof the law is no excuse. Ignorance of right and wrong has no excuse and it trumps a bunch of scribbles on sand coming out of DC.
Exactly, Crawdaddy. I always think back to Nazi Germany. Think how many millions of otherwise decent humans had to fall in line to make that work. I am sure the post war excuses were "What could I do? I was one guy?", "I had to think about my family!", "There was no point in being a martyr." and so on.
The truth is that these people will sell you out for regular hours, a noncontributory pension, and 30 days vacation each year. Snowden told us how well paid they were. These guys go home to their overweight wives, nice suburban cookie cutter homes, hug their chubby kids and do a back yard BBQ with the others in their neighborhood who also work for the Feds. They will not stick out their neck for vague ideologies like liberty or someone they do not even know. They will keep their heads down in the worst of times, mumble a few regrets privately but find the path of least danger to themselves even if you end up in the FEMA work camp. They will say that you probably even deserved it for causing "trouble".
This is how autocracy comes to you when you start with a relatively free society versus a Bolshevik revolution.
From the very beginning, the Cold War was sold to Americans as being about protecting freedom and keeping the country from being taken over by Big Brother style totalitarians.
Funny how the regime in Vichy DC, for many decades now, has consistently accused its enemies (both real and imagined) of the very threats, dangers, and evils which it was perpetrating or planning itself.
It appears that a fairly reliable way to know what the US government is really doing or planning is just to look at the accusations and condemnations it makes against others.
Projection - you gotta love it.

Bill Binney is a hero of mine.
So what your saying is all somebody do to fuk this up. Is dig a few fiber optic lines drop a few thermites on some gas lines. Drop a few cell phone towers. And take out a few transformers. And some really nasty guys miight drop any deep gorge bridges on the three rail lines going west of the Mississippi.. And that just some of what this old hillbilly can think off the top of his head . As for the NSA got water? Don't take no super computer to fuk this place up. And there are a lot smarter than me out there. And I am hunkering down because I know that. Dc is hooked up like war time Berlin. Shamefull. Mutter frecken
No it is easier than that. It is called VOIP and not just any VOIP either. Your phone is essentially a computer now you can communicate in many more secure fashions than encrypted voice which is decrypted anyways in the middle so it is easy for law enforcement to get access and in turn the NSA.
http://torfone.org/
. TORFone is an open source project, therefore it indicates no "backdoors" and allows quick fixing of potential vulnerabilities.
2. TORFone is fully portable (it can be run from a flash carrier or virtual TrueCrypt-disk and leaves no residue in the system) and works with all versions of Win32 from Windows 98, has very low system requirements (above PI 233 MHz 32M RAM). It saves bandwidth (required from only 2 kbit/s each side using low-bitrates codecs).
3. TORFone is decentralized, i.e. it does not use an external server and does not require pre-registration number.
4. TORFone provides full confidentiality (by using DH-4096 to match the session key, AES-256-OCB to encrypt the voice traffic and PKDF2+HMAC for autentification). The attacker who mirrors the traffic is unable to listen to the conversation and is not able to decode it later even if he gains access to the computers of participants.
5. Caller and callee are completely anonymous to each other and to outside observers (a call is made on Tor hidden service user).
6. Calls using TORFone are hidden to the outside observer because the TORFone can use the Tor network as a transport layer. Since Tor can simulate usual HTTPS-connections using Tor bridges, the same level of indistinguishability may be provied also for TORFone traffic. If TORFone is used without anonymity by making direct connection thorugh Internet, it still may be resistant against some type of DPI because TORFone uses its own protocol (not RTP/ZRTP), which can work over both TCP and UDP connection.
...
Why do you think the NSA is targeting TOR users..... If the network was that compromised even with them trying to take control of nodes through spyware/malware on users machines or putting their own machines in the network to try to log traffic in real time and increase the odds of being an exit/entry point for IPs they want to track the FBI wouldn't have blew it's wad on a java exploit in an older build of firefox (take advantage of sloppy user habits) to knock nodes off the network to get a few child porn deviants and they wouldn't have needed to flip a people to shut down silk road if they could have found it otherwise. Remember who cooperates with them like the DEA and their creating parallel cases using information collected by the NSA that would be inadmissible in court in the first place.
Ok that kicks ass for sure. Back and forth thru my mind with a cig And shot of burbon. 300 guys and 50 k could bring this shit hole down in 3 days. Godspeed to all
All you need is this book:
http://www.amazon.com/Total-Resistance-H-Von-Dach/dp/0873640217
"This is a legendary work by the famed Swiss expert on guerrilla warfare, Major H. von Dach. Survivalists have rediscovered this important study on resistance and underground operations, some making it the keystone of their libraries. Well-written and illustrated with easy-to-understand drawings, Total Resistance analyzes and overviews the techniques needed to overcome an invading force, formation of guerrilla units, weapons, food and medical considerations, ambushes, sabotage and much more."
You can find it all over the Internet...just search for the title.
Should we suspect that anyone who clicks on that link or conducts a search will set off a red light at the NSA control center?
No but this one should. You can download that whole book in pdf format there and if the link don't work just google it for a visit from your friendly fusion center representatives.
http://www.arizonamilitia.com/manuals.htm
https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/4471208/Total_Resistance_-_Swiss_Army_Gu...
Though my suggestion is if you want to remain anonymous hit the links through redirectors. I want them to know we are reading this shit. Paranoia cuts both ways kids.
Under no circumstances whatsoever should there be military operations on US soil, or you will see mass movement of populations from sites, and then the fun begins. Hold your f*#king horses.

Every society eventually collapses because it becomes top heavy. Too many laws and regulations require increased funding for enforcement.
Patriot Act is no different. It will collapse under the combined weight of irrelevant data. Purging data requires computing power, keeping the data is easier at first but sheer mass makes analysis tedious to the point of impossible to do.
So only the threat of collecting it is supposed to keep people in line. The truth is that the NSA has a data problem; too much to do anything with. All the leaks about the prowess of the NSA are more likely a smoke screen on its inability to do anything with the data it collects.
The NSA is a hoarder, sooner or later the floor underneath it will collapse.
Not to mention that with all the resources they use, they end up driving up the price of everything. I would imagine EconPaulK is proably a big avocate of the NSA spending for that very reason.

Any honest inquiry into the NWO (or at least its American franchise) could begin with their findings.
Only a godless communist, homophobe, terrorist, dope fiend or a racist wouldn't want to pay taxes to their government to enable them to lie, spy, manipulate and control them totally. Or maybe a witch, do people still feel badly toward witches? If so, a witch. With cooties.
The so-called journalists of the past 15 years will have a lot to answer for. Hooking their wagons to 1 party (primarily) and not trying to rock the boat... Pathetic. Not the Keepers of the Truth the Founders once believed in.
The one party they hooked their wagons to is not ye olde red/blue fighting partys in most western countries, but the party of globalists who want to dominate us all. Establishment journos today are prescreened, preapproved spinmiesters for the worst people on the planet.
Yes. Anyone on radio, TV or Hollywood is pre-aprroved. Mosyt of the shows and movies now made portray the surveillance state in a hip light. A necessary evil to protect us from the boggie man.
Glenn Beck is on the radio telling us we must embrace the illegal alien invasion as good Christians. He is one of the NWO's stooges like anyone else in the media.

The fashion show is coming to an end. The contest was rigged just like everything else. We were scammed. But were it not for main stream media news, this would not have happened. What do you expect when the people are not getting the information? The news is biased. Sue the news networks for falsifying information. Isn't wire fraud a crime? It should be. Rednecked Americans are losing everything along with everyone else. They put their trust in their govt. And their govt allowed corporations to SKIN THEM ALIVE.
corruption is a tool - the cartels use it well, but they are just babes in the wood compared to the 0.01%, news outlets owned by the same bunch of criminals what do you expect?
The more data you mine, the less is intelligence. Judging by the crowd in DC these days, It would be a miracle for those people to actually detect and act on a real threat. They're chasing dustdevils in the shape of Muhammad - and nobody knows what he even looked like! The only success they have is the fabrications they create. Entropy is a bitch. TIA was a failed fuckheaded idea from the start. Poindexter should be tried at the Hague and hopefully hanged, if the fucker is even still alive.
The tighter your grip, the more communities slip through your fingers...
It's over. Centralization has already lost. The only question is how much damage those in power will create on their way out.
SETI was something technies created to run on their computer while they slept. It created a global networked radio telescope to try to find signals from space or something. Search for extra terrrestrials.
Someone needs to write a global app that people run on their machines and other devices that spews endless bullshit on tens of millions of computers so they have even more shit to wade through. People go to sleep at night and their home PC just spews shit all night long.
Using Cloward Piven against these evil fux.
SETI was cool. I used to rock that! It was looking for patterned RF signals vs noise - which is a helluva lot easier than what these fools are trying to do.
I like your idea, though it's certainly been something under consideration since the NYT came out with their expose nearly a decade ago on the NSA.
Unfortunately, the most usefulness of a system like they have is in destroying targeted individuals. Identify a target, then find something bad about them, or something that can be manufactured or twisted to be bad, then destroy them. I think it's really only effective as a blackmail tool against people in power - leverage against judges, senators, congressmen, etc. It's extremely fucking dangerous, don't get me wrong, but it's not like they're going to be able to realistically go fully 1984 on everyone at this point.
Data and knowledge are completely different things. Bezos certainly hasn't read every book on Amazon. The bottleneck is always and everywhere the person behind the keyboard.
Russ Tice described the targeting parameters of the system in the same terms as you did.

This guy's - as is any whistleblower - a great man and has put himself at great personal risk. He's lost practically everything he has and the Feral Gubmint has a real smear and intimidation campaign going on against him. It's a must folks. And it's dated now. Great history on how we slide down the slippery slope of surveillance and are on the bigger slide towards authoritarianism and tyranny.

V-V
We are already at the stage where the sociopaths are feeding on each other.
Let them eat themselves...
in the meantime, be careful to not throw out the baby with the bathwater...
The baby is the idea, the principles, and the rule of law.
The sociopaths do not stand a chance; the project is to minimize the messiness and preserve the foundation.
With Holder in office the "rule of law" has become a sick joke. Some states and some counties and cities are still adhering to the laws but we are, overall, in serious trouble.
The problem is that infuriated Americans have no recourse. The perpetrators are beyond recourse for many different reasons.
1. The people responsible for this stuff are not elected but appointed.
2. The elected representatives who appoint the leaders of these organizations are bought off by moneyed interests, possibly even the intelligence agencies themselves ... through shell companies.
3. Most of America is too enthralled with their new i-Gadget to give a rat's ass about any of it in the first place.
4. Anyone who poses a serious threat to these organizations (as determined by them, in secret) is eliminated in one way or another.
The solution is mass outcry (and by that, I mean mass demonstrations, on the order of 100,000 people or more). But since that has not happened yet even given the revelations of the past 2 years, I don't forsee it happening in the future, absent some earth-shattering revelation (like the NSA is killing Jews or something of that magnitude).
That's a good summary of the problem which I fully agree with.
I will add one more:
5. There are many people across society who welcome total government surveillance of their lives because they are insecure and the NSA makes them "feel safer" and protected from the world around them. This reflects the propaganda spewed out by government and its advocates. In other cases, there are people who ideologically support the NSA and believe it's work is desirable and necessary for an orderly society. This is the political Left mindset and is more common in the UK & Europe than the US but exists everywhere.
It's from these two groups of people that MSM draws its talking heads to promote the NSA objectives. Anybody who dissents from this mindset is desribed as "extreme" libertarian or "anarchistic" etc.
I will add to your post, Smacker. There are a whole bunch of people who as long as their home in the "burbs" is not compromised and they can have their Friday night BBQ and beers with the neighbors do not give a shit about a surveillance state. In fact, they think you are a troublemaking idiot if you do.
I actually worked for a guy like this in my last company. I swear he had not had an original thought in three decades. He was total rules, no thinking outside the box, check all the boxes, seal the envelopes well and repeat. You were an idiot if you did anything to make waves. Also, he was actually not a bad guy, fairly likeable and in normal times he is the sort of faceless friendly neighbor you wave at and compliment his lawn on the way to work.
He will not come to save you from anything.
Agreed. That is definitely No.6 on the list. Many of us enlightened people know plenty of folks like that. They get inner pleasure from being obedient muppets and having their lives ordered by others.
Popular opinion still means something. Those not in favor of anyone or thing will ridicule them, degrade them, spread the word. Associating with the now misfit may be misconstrued as birds of a feather and rather than become a center of attention or laughing stock material, avoid the perceived villain. it is always about money. Electronic devices are a deviation of an ankle bracelet. Quite a devious plan, and who would consider someone would devise it.
Ironheel rule
A global history scenario found in a history textbook at a library. Caught my attention as brought Jack London's Iron Heel to mind.
The pencilled sheet was obviously somone's musings; full of erasures and the sequence oft reworked.
Juvenile, or at least amateur, some of it had real impact and so I kept it. The sequence was InMyOpinion [IMO] time-based from future backward to the past. I rewrote it here from past to future, as it made more sense [and maybe was the intention of the writer. Who knows? I guessed at wording/parsing that were hard to decipher.]
I present it as some curious kind of timeline [IMO]:
--------------------------------------------------------------
tribes join to form society
real-work to serves both individual and tribe/family
false-work that only serves individual at expense of tribe/society
more overpaid false-work [IMO includes rentier]
more underpaid real-work slavery
wealth accumulates
wealth accumulates power
wealth accumulates privileges
unstoppable wealth accumulation
wealthy-class established
unstoppable increase in poverty
wealthy establish centralized control
wealthy dominate global control
false-work dominates
poverty threatens centralized control
wealthy increase demand for goods and services
some production only to serve wealthy demand
more production only serves wealthy clients
price inflation to balance demand from wealthy class
less total factory demand
more price inflation
less production/supply
fewer factories needed
unemployment balloons [IMO also under-employed and blackmarkets]
only few factories needed to produce each type of major product
wealth powers dominate
wealthy recognized as cause of poverty
wealthy become more insecure
wealthy spend more for security
wealthy create fiat [IMO currency] to spend for control and security
suppression [IMO police-state} seems only viable model to maintain control
price inflation increases
fewer have disposable income
wealth powers dominate
fiat produces unsustainable systems
fiat balloons to hide unsustainable poverty
less disposable income
savings [IMO and savers] destroyed
only wealthy have disposable fiat
production/demand only to serve wealthy
modern feudal-system model replaces police-state.
centralized authority group established
centralized authority concentrates
modern dynasty established
military dominated by privileged, educated dynasty
modern controlled-state [IMO police-state] complete

There is no magical Skydaddy that runs the show from behind a curtain. Get back on your meds.
Out of nothing came matter and anti-matter which spontaneously separated. That's the fashionable "god explanation" for the origin of the universe by the atheist crowd, and is so patently ridiculous on its face value that to mock those that believe in a creator is akin to a murderer calling a kid in a store stealing bubble gum a "criminal".
"and is so patently ridiculous".
Mate, talk about a pot calling the kettle black. Riiiiiight, so something coming from nothing is riduclous but an infinitely powerful creator having always existed, with no beginining and no end is logical.
Jesus H Fucking Christ you people just can't see stupidity when it's staring you in the face.
What I am saying is that with atheism there is an act of faith, and the ridiculous part of it is that atheists deny this. The matter-antimatter argument is among the most ridiculous, because there is an act of faith that energy just spontaneously appeared out of nowhere and divided nothingness (a vacuum) into particles. (Same with other theories such as the boson, or "god particle" - it is an act of faith that it has always existed). People that have a belief, admit that somewhere down the line - so to speak - there is an act of faith. Atheists deny that they are acting on faith, but in reality they are.
Now who's the idiot?
Wrong, there is absolutely no act of faith in science, you are mincing words. Science puts forth a model based on theory and that model is open for pier review. Only after decades of pier review and testing does a model slowly become accepted as fact if it stands up .
This is not faith, get this through your skull. Regardless of how crazy you think this antimatter matter stuff coming from a vacuum hypothesis is, it's just a hypothesis. Yet to be proved. The infinitely powerful god always existing, that is faith because it takes zero effort to propose, people just pull this shit out of their ass.
A breath would be all one would need. Along with trillions and trillions of years. Mold forming and gravity in place, and there you have it. We are the end result of a high school science project. Love is what adds the magic and I'm open to miracles, actually hopeful but seeing so much suffering leads one to believe it is doubtful. We are here by chance and should celebrate every day of this life to its fullest, enjoy this planet and life of ours. We are so lucky to be here.
Where did the breath and gravity originate from? For about 30 years of my life I was a militant atheist, AND a scientist, so compared to the amatuer atheists on the boards here I have a black belt in atheistic arguments, even though I am not an atheist. There's no original argument on atheism that I have not heard before, and many of them I myself adopted in the past until I realized my own arrogance and foolishness.
Do you just take it on faith that something happened out of nothing? Or are you of the camp that "something always existed?". I am not trying to bust your chops. I am just trying to get you to see that you have beliefs on something unexplainable, and therefore you operate on an act of faith too. Yet atheists mock people of faith, and I take issue with that.
My friend above you thinks that the idea of a supreme being that always has existed is ridiculous, but 100 bucks bet would reveal that he adhere's to one of the two major sects of atheism: Matter has always existed (pot, kettle, black in its extreme, except I take something on faith, where he refuses to admit that he's acting on faith, so guess who the pot is?), or out of nothing, came something - spontaneously, again another act of faith for energy would have had to spontaneously appear out of nothingness. A "creation" happened according to this "theory".
The biggest issue that I have with atheists are they are the Grand Poo Bahs of hypocrisy. They have a faith, a religion, and it's called atheism. They just disapprove of anyone else's faith that differs from theirs.
Most are not scientists either, but their religion is science. So, when I, an long time atheist, and scientist, get into a discussion with them, the ad hominen comes out VERY QUICKLY, because Argumentum ad Vericundium doesn't work that well against me. And THAT, is the ONLY weapon they have against people of faith.
We are ALL ignorant, every last one of us. Remember that.
'Mind of God'/Fleck in the dream of another entity/hologram of our own predestiny/CERN/Singularity/'Creationism'...call your interest in the subject of existence, belief and faith anything you like...in your universe it's 'real'...

Not to comforting when history shows this "God" allows millions of people to be killed by governments.
That's because you think that your death is the end of you. That has to be an extremely frightening concept to consider on a daily basis. BTW. I am a scientist with a lifetime of immersion in science, was once an atheist, but now consider atheism the most ridiculous religion of them all.
"Scientists discover that atheists might not exist, and that’s not a joke"
http://www.science20.com/writer_on_the_edge/blog/scientists_discover_tha...
Everything boills down to an act of faith in the end, including atheism, where its adherents must make an act of faith that "something happened" to start the origin of everything and that 'something that happened', is a measure of completeness and does not violate known physical principles OR established observations of the universe.
The matter-antimatter argument is plausible until you go one more level. It takes an enormous quantity of energy to split even the smallest quantity of the two. Where did that energy come from?
The boson as "god particle"... If it's a particle what does it consist of? If it's the final factorization of matter, and hence a packet of pure energy then where did that come from?
The one faith that has archeological evidence, combined with a series of prophesies in a temporal chain, part of which have already been fulfilled, is the one with the most compelling argument.
I think I will start mocking the atheists arguments, with their obsessive faith in science, and see just how much they know about science. Sooner or later I will get them to admit more than one acts of faith.
I know a lot of scientists, and many of them are atheists. But, first, a consensus of scientists means nothing, and secondly, I also know a ton of scientists that are not atheists, so the argument that science is intrinsically atheistic is a crap argument, and those making it are usually colored by a heuristic bias as media is populated by execs that promote certain agendas. So if you only hear one argument, repeated ad infinitum, well, that's gonna be your argument.
For the record, I despise ALL religions to their core. Religions are evil as hell. But that is man's fault.
It really is comical reading comments like yours, talking as if what scientists propose as the origin of the universe is anything but theory, yet to be proved and highly likely, never to be proved.
"combined with a series of prophesies in a temporal chain, part of which have already been fulfilled, is the one with the most compelling argument".
And what prophesy is it, Mr closet Christian that you claim to have been partly fulfilled?
Mind you, I'm not sure a partly fulfilled prophesy is even possible, it's either fulfilled (even the word fulfilled has the derivation of "full") or it hasn't.
Are you sure you're not stuck in the 16th or 17th century believing prophosices are possible? It's so bad, so unintellectual, so childish a proposition that you should be embarrassed to even offer the concept as an underpinning of your belief. Don't tell me, you believe in ghosts as well don't you, what about seances, what about Nostradamus?
OK then, let's debate this. Rules of engagement. No more ad hominen. That's the argumentational style of someone that is belief based, by the way! YOU, and I must explain our thoughts in detail, and not quote anyone else's work unless we can defend it ourselves, and in detail, which means that we completely understand what we are tossing in each other's faces. Quid pro quo applies. You ask a question, I respond, you get a rebuttal. Then it's my turn and round robin we go. Fair enough? Are you ready?
Yes, sure.
OK. allow me to start. Currently science has two possible explanations for the universe. It appeared from a singularity in a process termed the Big Bang or it's always been here. Both are nothing but theories but the Big Bang hypothesis more widely accepted at the moment. Neither explanation sits well with our local experience of the universe, to many, neither explanation makes sense.
Theists get around this discomfort by introducing a maker or creator with infinite power.
Now, let's assume for the sake of argument the Big Bang is right, that matter and energy did come out of a singularity, apparanently from nothing and complexity slowly emerged within the universe.
All things being equal, if something magically appears out of nothing or even if it was always there, what makes more sense, that the precursor to this nothingness is basic/simple or infinitely complex? This is my first question.

Peace, and thanks for being here ZH and you ZedHeads
I came to my core beliefs long ago based on only two main principles.
Man cannot comprehend infinity any more than my Molly dog can comprehend calculus.
NOTHING is a bogus word because NOTHING does not exist anywhere in the cosmos. What an eureka moment in 9th grade algebra when it became clear that ZERO and NOTHING are not synonymous. I've been studying the concept ever since. I've concluded that it's like the electromagnetic spectrum, the stuff is there, and just because we're unaware of infrared and X-rays doesn't mean they don't exist.
Ron White, great stand-up philosopher has a line that is a universal given, "You can't fix stupid". Another universal given is the cliche that nature abhors a vacuum, not quite, true vacuums do not and can not exist.
Pi defines the circle and apparently is infinite like the circle. My pea brain can't get around the imaginary square root of the minus one being simply imaginary. It certainly is to me but some brilliant dude should at least grace it with a more appropriate moniker.
BTW, the Big Bang is a crock and black holes are portals between dimensions. The Universe is infinite just like God, therefore, to me that defines God, not the Bible. Nor does any other human fabrication that is always morphed into people control.
Yeah, Carlin had the God Calvary figured out. Any dumbass expecting the Rapture to bail them out is a sitting, mindless stooge. I've already buried my grandparents, parents, and all uncles and aunts and many of them were waiting on the Calvary. I've yet to hear the bugle charge blown.
Organized religion is another form of people control. The progression toward more doubters calls for different external controls for those that don't voluntarily mesmerize themselves. The failure of Affirmative Action will stop it over time. Maybe.

Paranoia has always been used by the US to control its masses. First, it was that idiotic fear of commies (despite the fact they never were any real threat to America). At the end of that one, a manufactured bogeyman had to step in as a substitute: the "war on terror" (sponsor muslim fanatics, then yell blue murder about them "posing a threat to security"). Plus, stir conspiracy theories, as they are always good to keep people focused on "threats" (any will do, from fluoridated water to Area 51 to chemtrails to global warming to anything foreign, you name it as long as it instills fear).
By endlessly scaring its masses, America reins them in (and wages profitable wars).
Welcome to the American dream!
"First it was that idiotic fear of commies....". Like the group that infests the current state dept and white house? Or the wonderful folks over at DOJ or IRS or D of Ed.....
+1, fear is food. Spent 20 years in the USMC...it is a machine powered by fear and threat. Nobody does anything that would bring the adverse judgement of others - not matter how wharped or wrong that action may be.

NSA Spying: Now It's PersonalImagine that you watched a police officer in your neighborhood stop ten completely ordinary people every day just to take a look inside their vehicle or backpack. Now imagine that nine of those people are never even accused of a crime. They just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2014/07/NSA-spying-now-its-personal
Ultimately goverment does not even want to exploit you. They want you dead and disposed. They only steal your money now because there are some people over whom they do not have power yet. They need your money to buy their loyalty.
When they have total power they do not exploit but destroy. Just like Jews under the nazi's and people in gulags under Stalin an Mao. They don't care to steal your productivity, you must be destroyed.
You are a carbon pollutant now. Deep decarbonisation is coming carbon lifeform
http://unsdsn.org/what-we-do/deep-decarbonization-pathways/
Government's intention to destroy you only enters into the equation after you have served their useful purpose and are of no further use to them.
The nazis, and communists killed millions of perfectly good exploitable human beings. Including many children. A human being/tax slave is currently estimated to have life time value of 6-9 million USD If they killed children and they did, they can not care primarily for the exploitative value.
http://www.care2.com/causes/epa-puts-the-value-of-human-life-at-9-1-mill...
"The nazis, and communists killed millions of perfectly good exploitable human beings."
Yes and No. They were people who were either non-compliant, non-conformist, troublemakers, "knew too much", educated intellectuals, unwanted deviants or suffered from physical/mental medical conditions which made them unusable. Under Hitler, the Jews eventually fell into (at least) the troublemaker category.
many millions died in ww2, but some seem more important deaths than others, concentration camps were not just for one class of human, but some would like us to think so.
my point was that these killed people had economic value but were killed nonetheless. They had them disarmed, so troublemakers or not, they could have easily beeen enslaved.
There is something darker about government than pure exploitation. Governments killed about 260 million people world wide in the 20th century (google democide) What trouble were the Ukrains when Stalin starved halve a dozen of million of them? Government is a monpoly of force and bad characters find that very appealing. We are talking sociopaths/psychopaths here. They do not want your money eventually.
Yulia Tymoshenko would be happy to kill the 8 million Russians (17% of the population) currently living in Ukraine for you.
I think she wanted to go ethnical cleansing with nuclear weapons. She should have stayed in jail perhaps.
The more total their power becomes, the more paranoid they get, then they lash out with insane ferocity.
The US military power house is a classic example/
The non-compliant will be re-educated, lobotomized or exterminated. Candidates will be selected from surveillance information and suicidal posters such as us lot. As far as their kind is concerned - don't wait for unwanted activities to emerge - cut it off while they are still unwanted thoughts. I meant it - this is where we are going.
The Jews were the scapegoats from long before the war. He had to kill or at least imprison them to be consistent with his own ideology which had already permeated German culture. He could not do anything else...not that he wanted to.
He believed, like most leftists today in the perfectable man and perfectable society. Part of that process was weeding out the weak, useless and inferior.
If fiat money is worthless why do they need to take it when they can print as much as they want? They can take property at will. Maybe it is no fun ruling without subjects?
The ultimate goal is total population control? Nice satement for what end though and here is the doozy.
Operating a fiat monetary system where they can live like kings or even better GODS with wealth assured by controlling this aspect of society. Kind of pisses you off? That is the reason they need total population control and going forward with more industrial efficiency kicking in like robotics they are going to need it.
Now you will be exptected to worship these people (the politicians and banksters) as gods forwever because the only way it can ever be destroyed is by destroying their weapon of power and it is not guns and bombs but the fiat monetary system.
Now do you prove this fiat monetary system is the true weapon and soldiers are just gullible people who get shot at for a living?
Take a monetary system creating money from nothing to pump property prices ever higher. This is like a free handout to those owning property and none given to those who hold no property. That is the ultimate weapon which the banks generated deflating them and any fiat savings away INFLATION.
Now to preserve their position as gods where you must worship and kiss their feet they will need total population control and when this fails like Hitler they will apply genocide on the poorer class to keep it under control.
WANNA CORRCT IT (YOU WILL BE DENIED!)
NOBODY CAN RULE WITHOUT 51% OF THE POPULATION VOTING FOR THEM at that point the poorest would rule being the majority of the population at the moment.
REMOVE THE PRIVATE STATUS IOF THE CENTRAL BANKS SO THEY CANNOT BE USED FOR PERSONAL GAIN / STATUS. This mechanism will still occur but every person gets an equal share.
The "fiat money system" worked great for Zimbabwe in the long run too. And we are getting close to the long run here. Keep stackin.
So where are the MPNET Merika Stronk crew to defend the NSA??

"What difference does it make?"
This is not the first time government has tried for the total control. It has failed 100% of the time in the past. An attempt to total control is the resource of falling regimes; not blooming nations.
The thing is there has never been this capability before. God knows the nazis, Stalin, Mao etc. would have peed themselves with glee to have this capability.
We have a virtual police state: the n$@ is an electronic gestapo.
And we will have to be the electronic revolution.
Technology giveth and technology taketh away. Bitcoin, darknet, encryption, etc, their time is coming.
So they know I like milf porn and think they are schmucks. The real fun will be when a hacker gets into their data base and releases the info on their employees.
Resource Crunch.
World population has outpaced the stifled innovation of warped corporate-vulture capitalism.
What does that mean?
The little people die to leave more resources for the important people. Bad news: We're the little people.
If the American people want to stop this NSA from spying on it's own people the first step is to take the buildings in Utah where the data is being stored off line. That' a big step but it will happen when the American people are fed up enough. There may be back ups but that would sure send out the right message.
Btw... When a NATO ally like Germany becomes sickened by our spying on them that says a lot about the hypocrisy of us don't you think. Why are we so concerned about Germany? I don't get that. Might it be about their missing gold not at the Fed? Nothing else makes sense.
Freedom certainly comes at a price but how many of this generation and the prior are willing to even stand up to Obama and his multiple transgressions on our Constitutional rights. It's beyond the pale how many times he's ignored the law or changed it on his own.
A guy on the radio stated there appears to be a war going on right now against the American people and it's time to recognize it as such. This guy came from S. America where he had seen this outcome before in his country of origin. I wish it were not true but I'm beginning to think he's got a point.
Good points.
"Why are we so concerned about Germany? I don't get that..."
Germany is by far the largest economy in Europe and therefore carries a lot of political/economic influence. It has long standing ideological parallels with Russia and this is possibly what the NSA want to know about.
you don't need the NSA to know that germany and russia have a lot of good things to talk about together, that exclude the US.
NSA is just another example of stupid americans employing themselves by taking tax dollars and wasting them. you don't need cia idiots to tell you that germany wants to buy russian gas and will probably do so without us dollars.
stupid fucking country of uneducated bumpkins that i live in.
"Parallels?" You mean Hitler was a communist !?. That's a good one. Smacker
Russia is not communist nowadays. The Nazis were Marxists according to some learned people.
Try this: http://mises.org/daily/1937/Why-Nazism-Was-Socialism-and-Why-Socialism-I...
And this: http://www.econlib.org/library/Enc/Fascism.html
Excellent link to Von Mises. In essence the National Socialists of Germany, Italy and Spain were collectivist, statists. One can use the terms fairly interchangeably. There is an all powerful state that at least claims to make decisions for the greater good of the nation/fatherland/motherland/people.
Leftists will howl when you try to equate the two because all the bad guys end up in their camps. They liked pretending the far right was another different totalitarian state even though the word "socialist" was in it's name. It allowed them to pretend that while they were certainly to the left they were still in the middle of the two equally unpalateable extremes.
The far right are libertarians and anarchists.
"Leftists will howl when you try to equate the two because all the bad guys end up in their camps. They liked pretending the far right was another different totalitarian state..."
Brilliant analysis.
As I've often said, Leftists have spent more than 70 years permeating western educational systems and schools of journalism with the big lie that Hitler, the Nazis and fascism are on the "Far Right". The BBC always preface any use of the term "fascist" with "far right" just to keep it up. And if you challenge their claims, they simply ignore you.
It took me years to realise the Left's objective in doing this is simply to distance itself from its own totalitarian comrades - Nazis, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot et al - all the bad guys. This in turn allows the Left to regroup and re-invent itself for yet another attempt at totalitarianism under a different banner to fool the masses, who soak it up. Rinse and repeat.
Slowly but surely, the truth is coming out.
The internet and logic facilitate that process.
When you put all totalitarian states in the same group or the same side of the spectrum it facilitates resisting them. It has the added benefit of also directing people to a better solution. You cannot simply be against something (like the Tea Party). You have to be for something, a certain ideological foundation that leads to consistent strong decisions.
NAZI is basically a nickname for National Socialists Workers Party. Sounds pretty Marxist to me.
