US Intelligence Confirms Malaysian Jet Brought Down By Surface-To-Air Missile
Details are starting to come together. The WSJ reports that US Intelligence detected a surface missile launch and tracked the explosion of the plane.

If the Malaysia Airlines passenger jet that crashed in eastern Ukraine was shot down — as US Intelligence has now confirmed — attackers would have had to use a sophisticated surface-to-air missile system, not the shoulder-fired weapons that are more accessible and easier to use.
Those weapons, nicknamed manpads, have been used in attacks against commercial aircraft in the past. But their range is much lower than the approximately 30,000-feet cruising altitude at which the Ukrainian official said Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, a Boeing carrying 295 passengers and crew, was flying.

“I can say that Putin’s plane and the Malaysian Boeing intersected at the same point and the same echelon. That was close to Warsaw on 330-m echelon at the height of 10,100 meters. The presidential jet was there at 16:21 Moscow time and the Malaysian aircraft - 15:44 Moscow time,” a source told the news agency on condition of anonymity.
"The contours of the aircrafts are similar, linear dimensions are also very similar, as for the coloring, at a quite remote distance they are almost identical", the source added.

Does Russia profit from intentionally shooting down an Air liner?
NO!!!
European air control continued approving flight routes over Ukraine despite adequate reason not to. Does that mean they would profit from it?
No! They look like buffoons.
What about West Ukraine? Does this serve their purposes? How many struggling West Ukraine enterprizes are going to have shipment difficulties as a result - right when West Ukraine needs to raise money for Gas to carry them through the winter. Do they profit?
Probably only in that Russia will not want to be seen on the wrong side of the issue.
What about Obama? Does he look good right now? Can he poke Putin in the Chest and say, "This is because of your interference!"? Not yet. Maybe never, despite Biden's assertions. Do you really think he wouldn't be ready to make political hay if it were a false flag by the West Ukrainians with US support???
What about East Ukraine? What does this do to their cause? They may want freedom. They may just want to be Putin's pawns in joining Russia. They've certainly gambled everything on getting Russia's support.

This aircraft was supposidly shot down from 33,000 feet and the bodies appear to be pretty much intact. Crash site is pretty much contained as well, like from a plane that went down from a couple hundred feet. Nice and tidy photogenic scene. Not scattered over 30 miles like Lockerbie.
