Death Toll Hits 330 As Israel Uncovers 13 Tunnels, Faces "Suicide Donkeys"

Tyler Durden's picture

With large anti-Israel protests in London, Paris, Brussels, and Madrid, the social media PR blitzkrieg continues between the IDF and Hamas. Palestinian officials claim over 100 civilian deaths in the last 48 hours (and over 330 since Operation Protective Edge began). Israel continues to reference the ongoing bombardment of rockets from Gaza (militants in Gaza have launched 1,663 rockets...The IDF has struck "2,300 terror targets" in Gaza). As LA Times reports, fighting continued above and below ground Saturday as Israeli soldiers have located dozens of shafts dug under homes and green houses leading to 13 tunnels. CNN reports local witnesses saying very 30 seconds to a minute a shell comes down in or around Beit Lahya. Perhaps most fascinating is The IDF claims that their forces have been attacked by explosive-laden "suicide donkeys."

Anti-Israel protests are spreading...

As the violence and death count rises...

Israel’s military continued to pound the Gaza Strip with heavy shelling on Saturday, calling on more civilians to leave their homes on the second day of its expanding ground operation against rocket launchers and cross-border tunnels while top diplomats were set to converge on the region to pursue a cease-fire.

Aircraft and artillery fire struck rocket-launchers, cars and houses throughout the coastal enclave. One strike killed five family members in their Beit Hanoun home, pushing the death toll above 330, according to Palestinian officials.

Fighting between Israeli troops and Hamas and other militants continued above and below ground Saturday. Overnight, around 20 militants were killed after engaging forces with gunfire and grenades as Israeli soldiers continued to comb Gaza for tunnels that Israel views as a strategic threat.

The Israeli military has reportedly located dozens of shafts dug under homes and green houses leading to 13 tunnels and intends to blow them up in coming days. At least three Israeli soldiers were injured Thursday in a battle with heavily armed militants who used one such tunnel to enter Israel from the central Gaza Strip with plans to attack a nearby community, a military official said.

The strikes so far... (via CNN)

Since Operation Protective Edge began, militants in Gaza have launched 1,663 rockets, the IDF said in a statement Saturday. Israeli rocket defense system Iron Dome has intercepted 346 of them.

The IDF has struck "2,300 terror targets" in Gaza, the statement said. In its recently launched ground operations, the IDF targeted 95 rocket launching sites and 13 tunnels.

CNN offers some local perspective...

In his Gaza home, Ramez al-Madhoun listens Saturday to the thunder of Israeli tank shells battering the neighborhood -- some a little less than a mile away, some closer.

A few miles south of him, Gazan militants' rockets stream into the sky -- about seven in 15 minutes -- toward Israel.

The tanks are gunning for tunnels leading into Israel and the Gazan attack squads that use them.

Al-Madhoun says he feels safer during Israeli airstrikes.

"If it was an airstrike, it would be more of a precision strike, but the tanks shells are more dangerous, they are destroying more than the airstrikes," he says.

Every 30 seconds to a minute a shell comes down in or around Beit Lahya. The local imam has told residents to stay home and pray, because the shelling has made it to dangerous to go outside, al-Madhoun says.

Hamas is using alternate tactics...

According to the IDF, ground forces operating in Gaza Strip were attacked by an explosives-laden donkey

The latest such incident happened on Friday in the Rafah area, the IDF reported Saturday.

A donkey suspiciously began to approach forces. The Forces Engaged the Donkey and it Exploded at A Safe Distance, whereas no Injuries Were Sustained by the IDF as A result, " the Israeli Report Said.

"Sending an animal to ITS Death to serve Terrorist Purposes May SEEM Shocking, but Certainly Last night was not the first time Palestinian Terrorists Adopted this despicable Tactic," the IDF Said.

Israel is urging civilians to evacuate...

*  *  *

Which leaves just one question... Do the donkeys go to heaven with 72 virgins?

Hahahahahahaha, suicide donkeys??  Hehehehehe,

Its nearly as funny as when 'Net the fucking Yahooh' stood up with the Iranian ACME 'Enrichment Bomb' at 90% on the fucking world stage, as in 'Stage'.  Except its not funny, this is not funny at all.

This, no matter how you look at it, no matter what your view is, is as plain as the nose on your face, never mind what some bloke wrote in a book, this is genocide.

Despicable, ruthless, unjust, immoral, filthy, targeted killing.

Genocide.

Is this what we must become?  Is this the teaching of some bloke eons ago who wrote a book?

All for a book?

I stand here disgusted at what humans can inflict on one an other, over what someone wrote in motherfucking book.

If you feel that strongly about it, then get off your English ass....and go down there and fight along side your terrorist brothers in Hamas.

Otherwise.....go the pub....have a pint and shut the fuck up......mate.

Is this world government?

Are we now resolved to call the Israeli Defense” Force “non-militants” when they have the tanks, F-15s, laser-directed bombs and bulldozers to be used against the “militants” whose choice is to surrender their soul or grab anything they can from crude rockets to stones to keep their children from being slaughtered in their homes.

What kind of media would report on a war by picking the side labeling the enemy (the Palestinians) the “militants”?

When  a world leader (Chancellor Merkel) says she supports Israel’s right to defend itself, she is saying that it is okay to shoot people in their homes in a fenced-in prison they are not allowed to leave because she supports the advancing world empire controlled by a banking cartel with close ties to the state of Israel.

Have we yet another official of the world government, joining the Obamas and Bidens and Cruzes, who support Israel’s illegal expansion though settlements and war to create an apartheid state completely financed by the world’s superpower – the United States of America and its apathetic people...?

Have we finally arrived at world government whereby our politicians can decide by simply pointing their fingers, He’s the terrorist, have him surrender… or die?

Here’s are just more of the daily gruesome details coming forth from America's Israeli foreign policy:

Israeli Ground Invasion Kills 28 More Palestinians, Israeli Forces Fire Unknown ‘White Poisonous Gas’

By Kevin Gosztola

Global Research, July 19, 2014

The Dissenter 18 July 2014

…A toxic gas is being fired at Palestinians. “Dozens of Palestinians, including children, arrived at hospitals suffering from suffocation after inhaling a white poisonous gas fired by the Israeli army in the northern Gaza Strip and in the Shawkah neighborhood near Rafah, to the south,” Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, a spokesperson for the Health Ministry in Gaza, stated.

Doctors are not sure what the gas happens to be but cautioned Palestinians to not panic and cover themselves with “tarpaulin coats or nylon clothes” if they start to inhale the gas.

...At least 47 children have been killed, including the four children who were bombed on a Gaza City beach right in front of a hotel where international journalists are staying.

More than 80 percent of deaths in Gaza since Israel’s assault began more than ten days ago have been civilians.

… Ma’an reported that the army had announced, “Israel approved the call-up of another 18,000 reservists, taking the total number approved to 65,000 for an operation aimed at protecting Israeli lives and striking ‘a significant blow to Hamas’s terror infrastructure.’”

Physicians for Human Rights urgently warned Israel’s defense minister, Moshe Ya’alon, not to bomb a hospital after “warning missiles” had struck the hospital on Friday. It was the only hospital that specialized in treating disabled and comatose patients in Gaza. The IDF did not apparently care and issued a notice to evacuate.

The nursing building was bombed. Seventeen patients who could not be evacuated remained in the building, along with foreign activists who refuse to leave the hospital as long as patients remain there.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported on the emergency situation in Gaza. Over 1,764 have been injured by Israel’s assault so far. More than five hundred are children.

The assault has displaced 22,900 people and fifty percent of “sewage pumping and treatment centers” no longer are operating.

...It is estimated that 96,400 Palestinians are now in need of “shelter assistance” because of destruction or damage to their homes.

On July 14, Norwegian doctor Mads Gilbert, who is in Gaza, told “Democracy Now!” about the staff at the Al Shifa Hospital, where many children attacked by Israel are being brought.

...If one can imagine, the crisis has deteriorated even further.

… Yet, again, it has only gotten worse since the ground invasion began yesterday.

This could all easily be stopped. The United States government could pressure Israel to withdraw forces and stop its assault on Gaza. However, it won’t. It has given full support to Israel, even going along with the propaganda that any carnage that happens now is primarily Hamas’ fault because the group rejected a ceasefire proposal.

The brilliant offer Israel never made
To get peace talks started again means confronting a few myths
David Clark
The Guardian, Wednesday 10 April 2002
David Clark was a special adviser at the Foreign Office until May 2001.

Barak's proposal for a Palestinian state based on 91% of the West Bank sounded substantive, but even the most cursory glance at the map revealed the bad faith inherent in it. It showed the West Bank carved into three chunks, surrounded by Israeli troops and settlers, without direct access to its own international borders.

The land-swap that was supposed to compensate the Palestinians for the loss of prime agricultural land in the West Bank merely added insult to injury. The only territory offered to Palestinian negotiators consisted of stretches of desert adjacent to the Gaza Strip that Israel currently uses for toxic waste dumping. The proposals on East Jerusalem were no better, permitting the Palestinians control of a few scattered fragments of what had been theirs before 1967.

Barak offered the trappings of Palestinian sovereignty while perpetuating the subjugation of the Palestinians. It is not difficult to see why they felt unable to accept. The only surprise is how widely the myth of the "generous offer" is now accepted.

Never mind Copenhagen, an environmental catastrophe is going on right now – contaminated water is poisoning babies in Gaza

Among all the complex and long-term solutions being sought in Copenhagen for averting environmental catastrophe across the world, there is one place where the catastrophe has already happened, but could be immediately ameliorated with one simple political act.

In Gaza there is now no uncontaminated water; of the 40,000 or so newborn babies, at least half are at immediate risk of nitrate poisoning – incidence of "blue baby syndrome", methaemoglobinaemia, is exceptionally high; an unprecedented number of people have been exposed to nitrate poisoning over 10 years; in some places the nitrate content in water is 300 times World Health Organisation standards; the agricultural economy is dying from the contamination and salinated water; the underground aquifer is stressed to the point of collapse; and sewage and waste water flows into public spaces and the aquifer.

The blockade of Gaza has gone on for nearly four years, and the vital water and sanitation infrastructure went past creaking to virtual collapse during the three-week assault on the territory almost a year ago.

What would it take to start the two UN sewerage repair projects approved by Israel; a UN water and sanitation project, not yet approved; and two more UN internal sewage networks, not yet approved? Right now just one corner of the blockade could be lifted for these building materials and equipment to enter Gaza, to let water works begin and to give infant lives a chance. Just one telephone call from the Israeli defence ministry could do it – an early Christmas present to the UN staff on the ground who have been ready to act for months and have grown desperate on this front, as on so many others.

It seems you have boiled this down to a very simple principle. And that is when one force is in the right then its action, no matter how severe or heinous, is also right. Then you start with a false proposition, that Israel is right. Then you give a crude example that we are supposed to apply to your judgment.

Like so many people, you erroneously hold that things are “just” because corrupt politicians or lawmakers make them just; that it is only necessary for the Netanyahus or ben Gurions to plunder because the law sanctions their plunder.

Sadly, it's an old story. As Frederic Bastiat wrote in The Law 150 years ago: “Slavery, restrictions, and monopoly find defenders not only among those who profit from them but also among those who suffer from them.”

IOW, the oppression and robbery and ethnic cleansing committed by Israel is okay because Netanyahu and the ID and the US and the UN decreed it lawful.

How perverted has this modern world become. And how, then, shall we all live?

Most every one of the Jews on this site, because it suits their plunder and world view, starts with the concept that Israel is right.

First, Israel was right to turn an area that they were given only as a homeland into a Jewish-only political state ...disregarding the Balfour agreement that ”it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which shall prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine…"

Then, the Jews asserted they were right to start a war of expansion, now claiming all of Palestine except for 2,400 square miles, i.e., with 4.6 milllion people compressed into Gaza and the West Bank at a density of 1,895 people per square mile.

And then that they profess the right to overcome international law by continuing to build settlements to expand their political state into Gaza and the West Bank to make Palestine "safe" for the Jews.

And now they are right to fence in the people of Gaza, refusing to allow them leave; using Remote-Control Killing: The Spot-and-Shoot Game | CounterPunch | July 13, 2010 by Jonathan Cook

I’m saying Israel was wrong in every one of these decisions and that the Jewish-controlled western politicians, bought and paid for by the Jewishl-families who own the Fed, have inhumanely sided with Israel’s aggression until the entire Middle East is awash with death.

And now, here we are to the point where an apartheid Jewish military power is shooting unarmed innocent people in a fenced-in prison.  You’re pretty good at these mosquito- falcon comparisons. Wouldn’t you say this is like shooting fish in a barrel with a shotgun? Only it’s people, not fish, not mosquitoes.

And that is the truth of what the Palestinians - and the world - are up against.

I will repeat what I said before: the Palistinians need to change their strategy.

They could very well be the offended party here. But their bullshit tactics of swatting at Isreal until they get smacked down, and then crying like little girls is such an Arab way of fighting. Everyone is sick of their crap.

If you want Peace, then make peace. Isreal is not going away. It doesn't matter if they stole the land in '47 or not. To the rest of the world it's ancient history.

Isreal made something out of nothing. The Palistinians need to stop fighting wars they cannot win and either change to a MLK/Ghandi model, or put down their shitty rockets and start negotiating in earnest.

The right and wrongs of the past have to be put into the past. I know it sucks, but it's the only way it will end.

This constant "revenge" crap will not win them anything but more death.

IOW, surrender.  Most world leader do not believe the Palestinians have a right to self determination if it means Israel cannot control them.

There’s peace, and then there is surrender. And anyone who has closely watched the attempts at reconciliation or negotiations between Israel and Palestine through the years can recognize that Israel comes to the table with a single basic demand before talks can proceed.

And that demand is: Stop all opposition to our expansion and then we can make progress. When this happens, now numbering in the hundreds of times through the pretend honest-brokerage of Carter-Clinton- Bush I and then the obvious bias of Bush II andObama, then new settlements proceed until today the Palestinians are reduced to a fenced in area of 2,400 square miles.

And a new pressure on allowing Israel to move into more specific areas proceeds.

It takes two sides to negotiate peace.

The article Inside Job, a review of Christopher Bollyn’s book, Solving 9-11, The Deception that Changed the World,” puts is this way:

“The Likud party, which is an offshoot of the Irgun and Stern gangs that massacred the Palestinians on dozens of occasions since 1947, was the ‘antagonistic element opposed to any agreement that would allow the establishment of an independent and democratic Palestinian state.’ Ariel Sharon, a prominent Likudnik, was elected prime minister in February 2001 and ‘was committed to the rejection of the Oslo peace agreement.’ …

“The determination of these Likudniks was revealed ‘on March 28, 2001, at the Arab League meeting in Beirut, where twenty-two nations endorsed a resolution introduced by Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah. It offered Israel normal relations with all Arab states if Israel complied with UN Resolutions 194 and 242’ the latter requiring Israel to withdraw its armed forces from its illegally occupied territories, including the Golan Heights, Gaza, the Sinai, and the West Bank, including Jerusalem…

“[T]he next day, a massive Israeli military force surrounded and destroyed the Yasir Arafat’s compound in Ramallah…

As Bollyn sees it, ‘Israel is a nation which was founded by terrorists, ruthless men with histories of committing genocidal crimes and false-flag terror attacks. Israel was created in 1948 in Palestine on land that was “ethnically cleansed” of its indigenous Christian and Muslim inhabitants.’”

If the Patestinians and Israel were to negotiate, Palestine has incredible demands and needs that have not been met; but Israel would say: Let’s begin with no fighting and what are you going to give us now?

And if resistance occurs, Israel stops all negotiations and makes war, often accompanied by expansion: new walls, new orders of restrictions, and further separation between the West Bank and Gaza.

A jewish artist from NYC came to San Francisco and was given 750K to create public art. Then

people found out he had adopted a dog from the pound years ago, tied it to a fence and shot it.

He called it an art film "Shot Dog"

Apparently he was paid by a secret source to create public art in NY for years.

SFO is a dog town and the outrage drove him off, PETA never said a word.

If you want to know who the real children of Israel are then you needn't look any further than The Antiquities of Mexico http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antiquities_of_Mexico

I am one of the lucky few who have all 7 volumes.  Here's an excerpt for your edification:

"In every thing relating to the treatment of their children, even in their mode of punishing them, the Mexicans resembled the Jews. As sterility was reckoned by the Jewish women a great misfortune, and they made vows at the temple to obtain children; so the Mexican women considered it a great reproach to be without them, and they offered up prayers to Huitzilopuchtli that he might vouchsafe to remove that cause of complaint. Torquemada has also observed, that in the festivals consequent on the birth of children, the Mexican customs were like those of the Jews. These festivals (omitting further mention of baptismal ceremonies and the rite of circumcision, both which it may be presumed on the authority of very eminent writers were in use amongst the Mexicans) took place on naming the infant, and afterwards on its being weaned or removed from the breast; and were celebrated by invitations of guests to an entertainment."

This article nails it.

Why Joe McCarthy had to be destroyed.

Speaking of the Balfour Declaration, in which the British government promised a home to world Jewry in their ancestral land of Palestine, assuming the Brits could grab it from the Ottoman Empire, who were allies of the Germans in the Great War, the latest best evidence indicates that Palestine is not the ancient home of the Jews, after all.  According to Shlomo Sand, a very diligent Israeli history professor and author of The Invention of the Jewish People, virtually all of the so-called “Jewish diaspora” are descendants of converts to Judaism, products of the era in which it was a proselytizing religion almost as much as was Christianity.  And if that were not bad enough for the conventional wisdom, Sand tells us that, in all likelihood, many if not most of today’s Arab Palestinians are the descendants of the Biblical Israelites (along with Philistines, Hittites, Samaritans, and offspring of various conquerors and local women) who were given a very strong incentive to convert by the conquering Arabs.  Initially, the caliph taxed only non-believers in Islam.

Everything being the opposite of what we’ve been told, that is what satan does...subverts the truth.

At the end of the article is a comment about a book The China Lobby Man and I tried it on Amazon and book finder, yes he is correct they try and send you a book written by Buckley. They are hiding the truth, they are also emptying libraries of hard books. They don't give them away, they don't sell them, they dump them. I found about this 5 yrs ago. Its book burning, because all these online books can and will be edited.

…many if not most of today’s Arab Palestinians are the descendants of the Biblical Israelites…

Yes. "DNA research reveals that well over 95% of the population of the Israel are NOT in fact Jews by blood," confirming earlier research.

This finding is according to a study by Dr. Eran Elhaik (Israeli Jew) and associates at the McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Reported on Market Oracle last week by editor Nadeem Walayat and published by the Oxford University Press on behalf of the Society of Molecular Biology and Evolution, Dr. Elhlaik “found that the European Jewish genome is a mosaic of ancestries which rise primarily out of the European Khazars."

IOW, the Jews of Israel NEVER left Palestine. Rather, they are the remnant that today is being slaughtered by Netanyahu and the Israel-Firsters; rather it is the imprisoned Palestinians who according to DNA are the true descendants of the ancient Jewish race of Israel.

“Another DNA study co-authored by Martin Richards, at the University of Huddersfield in England confirms the same of Ashkenazi Jews that destroys the myth of European Jews being descendants of people who left the Middle East 2,000 years ago, but instead over 80% of whom are Jewish converts.”

Source: http://www.livescience.com/40247-ashkenazi-jews-have-european-genes.html

“The people of Israel are not the seed, nor the ancestors, of Abraham. They call themselves ‘Jews,’ but in fact, DNA science shows them to be Khazars. They say they are ‘Jews,’  but they are not,” writes Walayat.

There are no blood or family connections among the Jews,” said Dr. Elhaik in an interview with Haaretz, Israel’s daily newspaper. “The various groups of Jews in the world today do not share a common genetic origin. Their genome is largely Khazar.”

In his article, Persecution of the Jewish Race Continues, Israel's Dark DNA Secret Revealed,  Walayat gives

“My thanks to Dr. Eran Elhaik of Johns Hopkins University and to his associates. You have performed a valuable service with your DNA research, both to Christianity and to world understanding. Elhaik’s research confirms earlier DNA studies, especially the work of Dr. Ariella Oppenheim of Hebrew University, who likewise found, in 2001, that the “Jews” came from the Khazars rather than the Israelites. Dr. Oppenheim even found that some of the Palestinians have the chromosomes proving they are “Cohen,” related to the ancient Israelites who worked in the Synagogue and Temple.

I asked the guy about it and he said David De Rothschild (plastic jesus) is involved he said the cost would bankrupt any one nation. Said   that the Kingdom of Hawaii is negotiating with China to allow them a military base on a Hawaiian island. He said the UN has reocognized the Kingdom of Hawaii The whole thing was so strange I wanted to run away from this guy.

Playing devil-jews advocate.
Who would opt to let enemies (puny, yes) launch rockets on his city with no retaliation? Who would choose to retaliate ineffectively - loosing a few soldiers here and there to limit deaths of civilians? Well, it was and idiotic design to put jews back there, squarely into territory of Islam and into guaranteed constant conflict... but that was a few generations back. What should they do now?

Again, there's a figure of 330 deaths, how many of these were civilians how many enemy combatants?

If a mosquito tries to suck my blood I squash it. There's no way to reason with it, so there is no mercy either. Even though I could just "take this damage" or try more humane method of stopping it. What to do with a significantly inferior but devoted enemy? It does seem reasonable to smack him hard every time any actual hostilities start.

---

Well, as for me and a solution - I'd actually opt for forfaiting that land and mass emigration. Even if jews could (and willed to) do some massive ethnic cleansing dislocating all palestinians, they'll still be surrounded by people that will just wait for an opportunity. They won't be THAT close, but certainly close enough. Israel is a tiny country. It's either constant warfare like this, and possible annihilation if they ever loose - or moving. I'd move.

Yes, the Israeli propaganda campaign aimed at a foreign audience has suffered a setback, albeit a temporary one. That NBC reporter, Ayman Mohyeldin, who was on the scene and filed a report that – by simply stating the facts – dramatized the seemingly pointless cruelty of the Israeli strike, was quickly taken off the story by NBC higher-ups and ordered to leave Gaza. The history of this New York Times story – co-written by the photographer whose soon-to-be-iconic photo of a man carrying a dead boy on the beach while another child lies broken in the sand – shows it was edited at least five times and finally almost completely rewritten in order to blame the victims. The initial version starts out as follows:

"Four young Palestinian boys were killed Wednesday when two Israeli military strikes hit a jetty and beach where they were playing at the fishing port of Gaza City, an area that had been considered relatively safe from the intense Israeli bombing campaign of the past nine days."

Version two, filed less than an hour later, starts out quite differently:

"The four Bakr boys were young cousins, the children of Gaza fishermen who had ordered them to stay indoors – and especially away from the beach. But cooped up for nine days during Israeli bombardments, the children defied their parents and went to the seaside Wednesday afternoon, the eldest shooing away his little brother, telling him it was too dangerous."

Somewhere, George Orwell is sadly smiling.

Erdogan compares Israel's offensive to Nazi atrocities

Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has fiercely criticized Israel's offensive in Gaza, comparing it to atrocities carried out by Adolf Hitler during World War Two.

Erdogan said: "Israelis curse and swear about Hitler day and night for the Holocaust, but now the terrorist state of Israel has surpassed Hitler with its atrocities in Gaza.

"Israel aims to break the unity of the Palestinians ... Turkey’s anger and disgust is against the oppressor Israel, not the Jewish people."

Erdogan strongly scorned Israeli MP Ayelet Shaked, who recently said that the blood of all Palestinians should be on their hands and that Palestinian mothers should be killed.

Erdogan went on: "Now the Israelis are wearing a T-shirt with an image of a pregnant Muslim woman with the slogan: 'Kill two with one shot,' which shows the hatred and racism these people are bearing in their minds.

"Turkey will not remain silent on the ongoing cruelty because a great state does not remain silent and unmoved, but mediates and strives for peace."

Meanwhile, Israel on Saturday advised its citizens not to travel to Turkey amid protests in support of the Gaza Strip in several Turkish cities, saying travel to Turkey should be avoided if not essential.

US being hollowed out to support Israel’s war machine: Bruce Gagnon | PressTV

July 17, 2014 -- An American anti-war activist says the United States is being “hollowed out” to support Israel’s growing war machine that is “metastasizing all over the world.”

Bruce Gagnon, a peace activist with the Global Network against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space, from Bath, Maine, made the remarks in a phone interview with Press TV on Thursday.

“Right now the taxpayers in the US are sending Israel more than $3 billion dollars every year, that money is going to build the offensive Israeli military, and a part of it is also used to build the separation wall, that is basically blocking Palestinians from their own agricultural lands, blocking them from being able to reach other Palestinian communities to get to jobs,” Gagnon said.

“So the US is really assisting in a huge way this apartheid system in Israel. Most American people don’t know about this because the media in the United Sates is really controlled and restricted by the corporate agenda and by the Israeli lobby,” he added.

“And most members of Congress don’t talk about this because of the power of the Israeli lobby, but slowly – slowly, slowly over the years – there’s a loosening-up and a growing support for the Palestinian people as more and more people do see the images of the slaughter of the Palestinians by the Israeli government,” Gagnon continued.

“I think, the people are slowly beginning to wake up in our country but there’s a long way to go,” the peace activist noted.

“Sadly, we can’t afford to be sending Israel $3 billion dollars a year because our schools are closing, teachers are being laid off, people still can’t afford to get healthcare in a good way… And there’s no money for any of this back here in the United States as our country is being hollowed out to support this growing military machine that’s metastasizing all over the world, supporting corporate globalization,” he concluded.

On Tuesday, a US Senate panel approved a measure that would double the funding for Israel's Iron Dome missile system amid Tel Aviv’s new wave of aggression against Palestinians.

More than 200 Palestinians have been killed and hundreds wounded, including women and children, by the Israeli offensive against the besieged Gaza Strip. In response to the attack, Palestinian resistance fighters are firing rockets into Israeli cities. The Iron Dome has reportedly shot down most of the rockets fired from Gaza.

The Senate Appropriations defense subcommittee approved a spending bill that would provide $621.6 million for Israeli missile defense, including $351 million for the Iron Dome.

Israel already receives billions of dollars of American taxpayers’ money each year. Under an existing 10-year aid agreement between Washington and Tel Aviv signed in 2007, $30 billion of American money is flowing to Israel.

The US annual military aid to Israel has been elevated from $2.4 billion to $3.1 billion through 2017 under the existing agreement.

Meanwhile, US and Israeli officials have discussed a surge in US military aid to Israel in a new aid package that would extend through 2027.

JR you appear to be far down the rabbit hole of being anti-Israel with no hope of coming out, but allow me to link you to this interview Bill Maher conducted a couple days ago:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1zzlXleHU4&app=desktop

Yes, the ultra-liberal Maher agreeing with a conservative, shocking, I know. Try and ignore that and instead devote your eyes and ears to the facts discussed in the video, namely that Hamas is responsible for their onw civilian deaths and that Israel is the one bringing in food, supplies, and medicine to Gaza, providing Gaza citizens with basic necessities that their own government won't provide because they're too busy using their money to build underground terrorist-transportation tunnels (which begin underneath civilian homes, I might add).

It's just incredible to me when I come to ZH and actually find well-read, literate, generally sane-sounding posters like you who actually believe wholeheartedly that Israel is so far in the wrong and committing all these inhumane atrocities.

The “lavish lifestyle” that Israel has provided for the people of Gaza could be improved if the Israelis would give them what they most desperately need – freedom from a military oppressor, from prison guards who shoot them if they get to close to their prison walls, who blow up their houses and children with tank shells, who shoot their boys running on the beach, who confiscate their agricultural lands and water…

It’s probably no surprise to you that I don’t catch the regular programs of Bill Maher. It’s enough that the major media carries the Big Lies about poor Israel trying to defend itself. I just don’t think I can stomach the sophisticated propaganda that’s used in programs such as this, laced with the same lies but masked in pretend factual discussion.

By the way, The Daily Caller, along with other conservative sites, is rabidly anti-Muslim. And so we have two Jews, Maher and Jamie Weinstein, senior editor of The Daily Caller, quietly discussing and blaming the Palestinians for their own starvation – “it is always legal for Israel to prevent shipments of food, medicine, children’s toys, light bulbs and anything else it likes from entering Gaza, even though international law says that collective punishment and deprivation of life’s necessities are illegal. Israel may stop any ship or flotilla bound for Gaza (or anywhere else) whenever it wants.”

How can you pretend to use this interview as some sort of evidence on what is happening in Gaza?

These commentators are engaged in lies defying the evidence of their eyes. This obviously is part of the latest Jewish propaganda campaign in America. You can detect it immediately when people are opposed to self-determination.

Perhaps Bill and Jamies should discuss why it is that Israel can demand that Hamas and every other Palestinian group recognize Israel and its “right to exist” (even though, in any other context, the concept “right to exist” has no existence in law), while Israel refuses to recognize the state of Palestine…

What Israel is most worried about is a force that won’t give in – Hamas. They would love to get Hamas out of there so they can further dominate. Israel wants another Arafat.
