Of course, this means the "credibility" of the latest YouTube clip from Ukraine, which "supposedly" revealed that the "rebels" were instructed by Moscow to hide the black boxes will be severly questioned, or would be if there was anyone out there still questioning anything in the relentless propaganda barrage. Actually scratch that: said clip will now promptly disappear from social networks, period.

The black boxes are useless, just like the air traffic control tapes from the Malaysian flight that disappeared are useless. They will just doctor up the info they need to fit their already established narrative and that is what will be released. It's not like we haven't seen this before.
There ought to be video of the whole operation of decoding the recordings.

As indicated before, I'd allow a bona fide international team into the region, to "inspect away" to their heart's content, but making sure that potential dual agents from the US, UK, etc are not contaminating the scene or the data. Interesting conclusions from Vineyardsaker:
Still, a few very interesting things came out of this press conference.
First, the Ukies have been caught lying about their military aircraft in the area of the disaster. They had claimed that no UAF aircraft were in the area. The Russians have shown the recorded radar tracks which reveal the following: there was what appears to have been a military aircraft (with no transponder) flying below 5000m which suddenly began climbing just before MH17 was hit by some kind of missile. This unidentified aircraft then stayed and observed as MH17 fell to the ground. The Russians added that a SU-25 armed with a R-60 air to air missile could have shot down MH17. Maybe. But what is certain is that the civilian radars did detected this strange Ukie aircraft.
Second, the Russians are challenging their American colleagues to show the images they claim show the launch of the BukM1 rocket. They also point out at the interesting coincidence that an US experimental launch detection satellite was exactly over the area at the moment of the tragedy. Clearly, they are tossing the world experts some kind of lead here, but I am not sure what this is.
Third, the Russians have shown their own space-based imagery which shows that one battery of BukM1 had been moved just prior to the incident (See for yourself here). It will be interesting to see if the Ukies explain what is shown on these picture and, if yes, how?
As I said in my first post about MH17, I have no hope whatsoever that the western plutocracy will ever admit that the junta did it. Ditto for the corporate presstitues of the MSM, but I do hope that the world will see this tragedy for what is clearly was: a deliberate false flag on the part of the Nazi junta in Kiev. As David Chandler correctly points out about 9/11, the proof of a cover up is in itself already a proof of a conspiracy.

Yes, but at the same altitude and shadowing the civilian plane? I don't think so. When the evidence comes in, you are going to find that that fighter jet launched an air-to-air missile at the MH17. The missile's signature on the airframe of the MH17 will be unmistakable.
Also on Saker shortly after the incident, a post from a contributor with a calculation and estimation of where the strike would likely have occurred for the wreckage to land where it did. Am no math genius, perhaps someone else here could verify these formulae? Go to point 12 in this summary. Anyone have any quotes from Germany in the last few days? On Saturday I read that "Merkel and Putin agreed" about international oversight of the crash scene. Then on Sunday the papers said that Merkel had given Putin one last chance to come clean before facing more sanctions. But there was no quote.

A couple decades ago Airbus had a crash of the earlier fly-by-wire aircraft. The press got a picture of the singed, blackened black boxes being removed from the crash site. But when the French government opened the boxes during the press conference (to support pilot error and not software errors) , there were two, perfect condition, brightly orange painted black box housings. They were caught and had to fess up tha tthe engines didn't spool up properly.
They flew that one into the ocean while practicing 'remote control', IMO.

I have only seen DC-10s being flown by cargo carriers. There are still a few MD-11s around but not sure which carriers are flying them. Can you tell me which US carriers are flying DC10s?
The flight recorders are the property of Malaysian Airlines. Protocol is that the country in which the accident occurred is responsible for the investigation and would normally take custody of the recorders during the investigation. However, this is not an "accident" - it is a criminal act, whether intentional or not, so the issue is muddied to say the least as to who does what, when.
Better to give them to the UN ICAO team. Malaysia might let the data doctors do some operating on the actual data. Hopefully the Russians have downloaded the data already and have it ready to release - especially if there is a doctored US/Malaysian version.

I don't think the separitists would hand over the black boxes if they had incriminating evidence, would they?
It won't tell you whose missile hit the plane. May shed some light on about where and when they got hit though. It maybe be useful in determing the type of missile like did it target an engine aka heat or was it laser guided for example. The Ukrainian air traffic control radar logs would probably be a better source to pinpoint where it was fired from for starters.
