Ron Paul: What The Press Isn't Reporting About The MH17 Disaster

Tyler Durden's picture

Authored by Ron Paul via The Ron Paul Institute,

Just days after the tragic crash of a Malaysian Airlines flight over eastern Ukraine, Western politicians and media joined together to gain the maximum propaganda value from the disaster. It had to be Russia; it had to be Putin, they said. President Obama held a press conference to claim – even before an investigation – that it was pro-Russian rebels in the region who were responsible. His ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, did the same at the UN Security Council – just one day after the crash!

While western media outlets rush to repeat government propaganda on the event, there are a few things they will not report.

They will not report that the crisis in Ukraine started late last year, when EU and US-supported protesters plotted the overthrow of the elected Ukrainian president, Viktor Yanukovych. Without US-sponsored “regime change,” it is unlikely that hundreds would have been killed in the unrest that followed. Nor would the Malaysian Airlines crash have happened.

The media has reported that the plane must have been shot down by Russian forces or Russian-backed separatists, because the missile that reportedly brought down the plane was Russian made. But they will not report that the Ukrainian government also uses the exact same Russian-made weapons.

They will not report that the post-coup government in Kiev has, according to OSCE monitors, killed 250 people in the breakaway Lugansk region since June, including 20 killed as government forces bombed the city center the day after the plane crash! Most of these are civilians and together they roughly equal the number killed in the plane crash. By contrast, Russia has killed no one in Ukraine, and the separatists have struck largely military, not civilian, targets.

They will not report that the US has strongly backed the Ukrainian government in these attacks on civilians, which a State Department spokeswoman called “measured and moderate.”

They will not report that neither Russia nor the separatists in eastern Ukraine have anything to gain but everything to lose by shooting down a passenger liner full of civilians.

They will not report that the Ukrainian government has much to gain by pinning the attack on Russia, and that the Ukrainian prime minister has already expressed his pleasure that Russia is being blamed for the attack.

They will not report that the missile that apparently shot down the plane was from a sophisticated surface-to-air missile system that requires a good deal of training that the separatists do not have.

They will not report that the separatists in eastern Ukraine have inflicted considerable losses on the Ukrainian government in the week before the plane was downed.

They will not report how similar this is to last summer’s US claim that the Assad government in Syria had used poison gas against civilians in Ghouta. Assad was also gaining the upper hand in his struggle with US-backed rebels and the US claimed that the attack came from Syrian government positions. Then, US claims led us to the brink of another war in the Middle East. At the last minute public opposition forced Obama to back down – and we have learned since then that US claims about the gas attack were false.

Of course it is entirely possible that the Obama administration and the US media has it right this time, and Russia or the separatists in eastern Ukraine either purposely or inadvertently shot down this aircraft. The real point is, it's very difficult to get accurate information so everybody engages in propaganda. At this point it would be unwise to say the Russians did it, the Ukrainian government did it, or the rebels did it. Is it so hard to simply demand a real investigation?

I would not put it past the "West" to give a false electronic signal that mimicked a Ukraine cargo plane to trick the separatists into shooting down MH17.  The West needs a false flag.  Russia doesnt.

Our beloved gov wants to sell gas to the EU. And Russia is in the way.

According to a presentation by Golar LNG Partners, in June 2012 there were 72 new builds on order. Today the majority of the new ships under construction are in the size of 120,000–140,000 m3 But there are orders for ships with capacity up to 260,000 m3. As of end of 2011, there are 359 LNG ships engaged in the deepsea movement of LNG.[2]

And how much will this compressed and transported gas cost compared to Russia's pipeline gas? I don't understand how we can economically defeat the Russians in this unless they are absolutely ripping Europe off. I don't have the answers, but I fear Americans will end up subsidizing our European gas wars, through government subsidies to exporting producers or higher prices due to decreased relative supply.

That is part of the game tho.   The US is the world's largest sponsor of state terrorism because it can be and most of the American population likes it that way.   Putin is just another top 0.01%'er sociopath.   It's "our" sociopaths against the rest of the world's sociopaths.  There's no other "way" it could be.

Yup.

Psychopathy is a bell curve spectrum disorder. The idea is to have control over other people, a social version of what nature does. From girls wearing tight jeans to turn a guy's head, to killing and enslaving people for their wealth, it is embedded in life.

In a pregnancy, the fetus often does battle with the mother for resources, sending out chemicals to dilate arteries feeding it. The mother responds with counteracting chemicals, constricting blood vessels.

Even a fertilized egg will cannibalize some of its own, less fit, cells.

I'd stay away from the whole power tool aisle. Suicides can happen with drilling a hole in your own head, or even an accident, such as accidentally cutting your own head off with a table saw.

Mur'cans will buy anything that their trusted information god, Mainstream Establishment Media, tells them to believe.

Someone needs to do a formal study on exactly what the ingredients are in special psychological sauce the MSEM uses to mind control so many people and make them so docile, naive, and credulous.

If I were that psychologist, or his grad students, I would stay the fuck away from Home Depot.

Beck likes to play up a huge "libertarian" position, then pull the rug out at the last minute, fucking everyone over.

I always wondered if he was for real, until he hammered Dr Paul. Then I KNEW he was controlled opposition.

Now the fucker wants his victims to donate to the illegals, but I do not see him putting up any tents at his large, heavily-guarded compound. Perhaps he will soon move to Guyana and get into kool-aid.

I've been a Ron Paul supporter for years and I am NOT anti-gov't. I am anti-power-consolidation, be it PUBLIC, or PRIVATE government.

A cartel, IMO, is a form of private government. Same rules apply.

Consolidated power is the problem, not the presence of gov't. You could put all the nutcases in the world in power and limit their budget (and ability to borrow) to ten billion dollars and they'd be as harmless as kittens, until they got the power to appropriate and the power to tax, which they would get, because they'd turn the law upsidedown by "lawyering the rules" . There is our problem.

We failed to honor the mechanisms of restraint built into our constitution, and hence the lawyering away of all the constraints on government through the years.

The only way I think you can fix this is by a constitutional amenment that provides a mechanim to prevent the erosion of the framework of a nation via lawyering it to death.

Here's what I propose. On February 29th, of every Leap Year, 50% of all lawyers in the nation will be required to participate in a national lottery, not unlike Hunger Games.

Those that draw odd numbered balls will undergo Lawyer's Run, with an identical outcome to Logan's Run

That way we thin the lawyer herd by 50% every 4 years, to a floor of one lawyer per every 5,000 people. More than enough IMO. Also keeps the "I want to change the world for the better crowd" in check, and since these folks are just "crazy in love" with democracy, we'll have a democratic vote:

"All those in favor of culling the lawyer herd every 4 years, raise your hand please"?.

Or a competing amendment, much more aligned with Logan's Run. After someone has been a lawyer for thirty years, they step into a chamber, and *poof* , they're gone!. Considering that most senators, congressmen, and lobbyists have over thirty years in this evil craft of Satan, this will do well to limit the influence of this crafty and unholy trade of the Wordsmith.

Lawyer's Run. I like it.

Easy parcheezie.

If this LiveLeak video is actually of MH17, the damage that's shown - starboard engine on fire, the rest of the plane looking intact, appears to be much more consistent with the damage you'd expect from a small airborne heat seeking missile like the R-60, than what you'd expect to see from a large radar guided missile from a BUK launcher.

I would think that a BUK guided missile would target the center of the fuselage rather than homing in on the hot engine exhaust, which is what appears to be what happened in this video.

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=aad_1405654499

Based on this video, I think there needs to be a lot more attention paid to the Ukranian fighter that was reported to be in the vicinity.

The R-60 warhead is only 6.6 pounds and the missile is heat seeking. The BUK missle warhead is 120 lbs and radar guided. Which seems more consistent with the damage you see in that video and its location?

I am confident Dr Paul does not think the rogue elements of the USG under Bankster control have anything to do with this.

Why, that Nulandstein woman was only hoping for everyone to get along in Ukraine. She even passed out food. I am sure she is using her other passport to acquire more supplies in Israel. Food and whatnot.

Now, I think it is possible Vlad is really mad at how Backdoor Barry has bested him in every contest. Perhaps he lost his temper and shot off a missile but it accidentally collided with an airplane.  Taking a beating from a gay guy like Bath House would piss off a guy like Putin. If your pal, Assad, now dances sweetly with Backdoor Barry, you would be mad, too.

File MH17 under chickens coming home to roost.   But, as always,  whose chickens depends on who spins the story.

The Russians made a big mistake with the Russian Separatists.   They've probably lost this battle.   The Russian top 1% doesn't want to spend then next 20 years NOT being able to show-off all the Bling they've bought with their looting operations.   Putin might want to go back to the cold-war, but the Russian top 1% doesn't.

Reading the exchanges between pro and anti US stance on this site (because very few are pro-Russian), I am noticing a few things.

1) Most of the anti-US people on this site are just hoping for the collapse (which mathematically should happen) in order to escape the clutches of the globalists.

2) Most of the pro-US commenters seem to think that our government is the lesser of the evils available in the globe.

3) Looking at RT.com and listening to Putin's past discourse on the War on Terror, it is starting to look like the 1984 scenario is already upon us.  RT does not doubt the official 9-11 story, nor does their coverage of recent ISIS happenings differ from various Western news sources.  If I was the leader of a nation at war with a large alliance of states, I would seize any opportunity to discredit the enemy's information outlets and to prove that they are _____ (insert negative adjective here).  This has not happenned, and will not happen.  In 2001, Putin used the banner of the War on Terror to destroy much of the Chechen resistance.  China has acted similarly, never questioning Western reporting, and prosecuting its own wars against separatists under the very same banner.

In conclusion: WWIII is being orchestrated and choreographed now.  All leaders are playing from the same book (whether they know it or not).  The Dollar will be the Archduke this time.  The BRICs bank will be the Black Hand.

Try not to get carried away with the Kabuki, folks.  Look out for yourselves, your friends, and your family- because if you don't, who will?

They award each other as they always do (i.e. the Nobel Peace Prize for Obama) while We The People struggle, suffer and die. They meet, people is fu..ed some how or bombed "to the stone age"

(as Director Lt. General Mahmood Ahmed (Pakistan) was told by Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage on September 13, 2001...  “Help us and breathe in the 21st century along with the international community or be prepared to live in the Stone Age.” Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf will write in a 2006 book that Armitage actually threatens to bomb Pakistan “back to the Stone Age.” - D. Khalezov)

So... It's at least naïf thinking that a real change can come from top to bottom. They're always playing perverse games on us.

Anything to be done is gonna have to be done from bottom to top. Or it's just gonna keep going as always was.

"In conclusion: WWIII is being orchestrated and choreographed now."

Exept it has nothing to do with the dollar as a reserve currency or the IMF or the BRICS' new bank.

In case you haven't figured it out by now peak oil is alive and well and doin' its thang.  And that thang is driving the US Military, the CIA, and the NSA to very unAmerican behavior.  For the past 20 years or longer the policy of the US has been to remove crude oil production from the hands of unfriendly naions by seizing, expropriating, confiscating their reserves or changing theri governments.

When peak oil becomes palatable in 5, 10 or 15 years, as there won't be enough oil for both capitalism and the Pentagon, the global economy will be a distant memory and the the neofeudalism of Orwell will rule.

Who controls the past,' ran the Party slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.

Today we just say "who controls the oil, controls the future.

You got to give the US an A for effort in that regard.

explanation is partially ok.

peak oil past production decreasing, usa reserves decreasing, trying to secure by keep stealing from unfriendly, ok with that, but you try russia in 21th century when internet is WAY above propaganda, .govs know your going low, coz them too...

now if you try to mess up with historical friends to get some russia gaz & oil, as a 5000km away...  sorry to tell you that relocalisation is the main word of economy, war or not war, it costs to cross seas, you better  build again for yourself what you gave to china to build for you ( also same advice  for europ ) because when a country have a choice to do, to protect itself, such china for a given economy, i bet my dick on the guillotine they will prefere sell directly to themself & near neightbors than risking expensive & uncompetitive sells coz of transit costs...

right now on aliexpress you have 200% less expensive that amazon/ebay + free ship but 15 days delivery cos of distance but boats do the job, planes too... but when an envelop will start @ 150$ to take plane, you will not  order anymore from china cos the cost of total assembly+delivery will be less expensive in your own country.

some gov started to understand that, ( nordic ones, but southern, usa, europ, full of shit brains, 10000% go to wall on full oil system... well, ok... go to end of oil, instead of using the last 20 years of reserve to change the way we act, spend it in 2 years war... typically human.. waste...as usual...

i dont give A to usa to panic & mess arnound the globe to protect itself, i will give A to usa when a president will make world wide announce such " ok, now, listen, we all in danger,  no more oil, we did bad, no more, now, lets go full xxxx powering, i allow infinite money to change power ressource, i engage myself to kill poverty, even the last small sick african can have his luxe & confort, it is time to be fair, cos we do not have other choice " but fuck me this days is not planned, the day i  got in mind is " withing 3 year WW3. 75% pop decreasing, then we gain 100 years oil...

if you think that globe will let usa be the only survivor... wake up, just wake up. cause if brics money system is accelerating to be  operational, it is not to be autonom, it is only to cut dollar legs so you cannot go full war to save YOUR economy while messing around.

you push on russia cos it is the biggest target, & you have no more time on the clock.  if you fail on russia, you are 317 millions dead people.

you will never accept that, so you make mh 17 crazy stuff to trigger the unthinkable.

so as i said before to a mental, you are dangerous & violent people.

face it,

change it.

Agree.

Trying to rationalise what is going on in this world is impossible.

All you need to know is that:

1. We live in a pyramid system.

2. There is a guy/guys at the top of the pyramid

3. The leaders of countries are not those guys.

4. When governments are indebted/insolvent, they are no longer sovereign.

5. As Radical Marijuana, poster here on ZH, keeps stating, "debt insanities will inevitibly lead to death insanities" Or, as I have heard repeated elsewhere: "Money talks and Bullshit walks"

Putin/china vs Obama/Europe are being herded into a collision  against each other. They themselves probably dont even realise.

I can't get over the GUTS Ron Paul has to speakout against the President, Congress and MSM and say that they are jumping to conclusions too fast! He is such a strong leader to speak out in defiance to the political machine no matter the consequences. He speaks out against the spiral of silence!

The spiral of silence theory describes the process by which one opinion becomes dominant as those who perceive their opinion to be in the minority do not speak up because society threatens individuals with fear of isolation.

Please don't say "elected".  Hunter Biden was placed on the board of an energy company just a couple of weeks after VP Biden promised to fund Ukrainian energy exploration.

About a week earlier, Hunter's hedge fund partner, Devon Archer, was similarly elected.  Devon was a top donator to Kerry's Presidential campaign.  According to the WSJ, Devon Archer's college roommate is Kerry's stepson.  And wouldn't you know...  Devon Archer's partner in a different hedge fund is the same Christopher Heinz.

Who are the 2 main policy makers and emmissaries for the US in Ukraine....  Biden and Kerry.

The US and Europe has promised to investigate the looting of the Ukrainian people through the oligarchian thieving of its "democratic" Govt.  I would say that Burisma bought protection by immunizing itself from EU and US investigation.

A real question is why hasn't the NY Times run a story on this.  It is a story that got wide exposure in Europe. Makes the US look like crony hypocrites.

No, the question would be why you think that they would.  NYT has ALWAYS cheered for war.

And, were they asking about things when the Bush administration was chalk full of energy folks (Exon, Haliburton) and invaded Iraq?  Fucking NYT is staffed with neocons, that's why!

You can bet everyone of the people involved are scared shitless they are gonna end up in front of a war crimes tribunal.

I think the last part is important.  We can only conclude that we have no idea who really shot it down until there is a full, multinational (on different sides of the issue) investigation done on it.  We can all think of many different plausible scenarios (if your intellectually honest) in which any of them is guilty, intentional or not.

Personally, I kind of get sick of the western blame game on Russia and Russian separatists, but I also get sick of the knee-jerk reaction many critics of western geopolitics have of instantly calling bullshit on every single issue.

Most people don't want to know, they're either mentally incapable and stuck in the matrix or they're scared so they deny.  I started thinking of myself as a soldier, a soldier of truth (I am a big fan of Peter Tosh he had a guitar shaped like an AK at one point, then from a Stepen Marley Song, "we are soldiers in Jah Army).  I think of it a battle because its so fucking tiring that nobody cares.  I look for moments to drop truth bombs that make people question the narrative.

When I did this for a while I realized how strong the propaganda really is.  I don't know about you but where I live nobody is digging in for any physical battle, but our oppressors are fighting a war against civilians every day, both physical and emotional.  You can't give up you have to fight and keep on fighting or they win, but you can't take it to them with force or they'll kill you quickly or lock you up.  So we have to fight to keep the truth alive despite being ignored, dismissed as wack job conspiracy theorists.

People really don't want to know usually and you'll exhaust them and push them away if come at them too hard, so find moments to drop truth bombs, or light hearted ridicule of a situation that illustrates the ridiculousness and hypocrisy of matters seems to be effective over time.

Just my two cents...cause it freaks me the fuck out the way things are to be honest.

ALL wars are about resources.  It is highly unlikely that there are anything other than a few people who KNOW that there's NOTHING that can be done other than TAKE from others.  At this point, given that none of this is in the US's backyard, and it IS in Russia's, that the one on the offense is the US, which then follows that it is the US that is desperate for resources (perhaps to ensure that their market participants have them so that the market structures stay intact).  So... with this in mind what will YOU/I/ANY OR US do?  No mortals can create matter.

BTW - During the last POTUS people called out for him to face war crimes.  Bush was sought for impeachment.  And now the very same thing happens.  And no results.  Why?  Because no one is serious, any motions/movements are controlled by the "opposition," which is only looking to get in to the power seat.  Either get rid of the power seats or continue to forever run around trying to figure out how come things don't change (other than the color the gangs fly).

On July 2, 2013 a taboo came silently to an end with the implementation of a new law passed in January. For decades a so-called anti-propaganda law prevented the U.S. government's mammoth broadcasting arm from delivering programming to American audiences.

This new law unleashes thousands of hours per week of government-funded radio and TV programs for domestic U.S. consumption. This was criticized by many human rights activist as a green light for U.S. domestic propaganda efforts and in my opinion it is already being felt. More on this subject in the article below.

Their legacies are choking us still but we need more funerals of those types of scum, and the list is long.

He did also foresee the coming financial collapse brought on by a constant war for oil, simply put he asked Americans to live within their means, I think a much maligned president. 2 of his speaches that ring true today.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lHplhMChZQ   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tPePpMxJaA

Jimmy Carter put Volcker in charge to clean up the mess that Nixon and his lackey (Burns) had made. Carter could not possibly win with the impact of Nixon closing the Gold window and Burns expanding the monetary base at the same time. But he put Volcker in charge and it paid off and killed inflation for a while.

Volcker said he attached great importance to the Independence of the Fed and thought that by saying that, Carter would not go for his candidacy. The opposite happened.

Carter did not have much luck with the sandstorm, nor with the combined effects of middle east war, Burns and oil prices...

But he was an intelligent president and is a decent man.

All by himself Jimmy The Peanut overturned the anti-usury laws and sent interest rates into the 20s. He didn't clean up the mess or roll in Nixon's shit, he shit himself.

The points that Ron Paul is making are not as important as the fact that Ron Paul is questioning hs own country's leadership.

I often wonder whether he and Paul Craig Roberts will ever see the day that America eventually recognizes the enemy as being its own institutions.....and in particular the owners of the FED which have enabled the financing of every financial, military and social cancer ridden experiment conceivable.

I like Ron Paul for two reasons, he speaks alone, no other politician seems to want anything to do with him.

He was a medical doctor, helped deliver life into this world.

He has the courage to say what he says as it is truth, in this lie infested world, he is an aberration.

He deserves our support.  I don't care much for Sarah Palin, but hope she succeeds in impeaching the golf and teleprompter expert from his throne.

Well, the Shin Beit former officers are in control of the Israeli owned airport security company based in The Netherlands, ICTS, as they are at the Schipol Airport... as they are elsewhere in cases of infamous 'security' situations such as the Xmas '09 "Underwear Bomber" who was allowed to slip past their detectors to board that Detroit bound NW flight... though no one at Homeland Security seems to have minded in the least, so exactly who is overseeing this flase flag op yafterall? The Malaysian connection is interesting given their lack of support for Israeli genocide in Palestine.. something they've spoken of for years... funny Boeing hasn't said much about any tampering of their aircraft control systems... so many connections all pointing to psychopaths pushing their NWO/Global Police State to its Final Solution.... the elimination of everyone that isn't one of them.

Regardless of who's behind the downing of MH 17,  I know one thing FOR CERTAIN...

I am NEVER flying Malaysian Airlines again.

I don't know who is was that cast Malaysian airlines into the role of Archduke Ferdinand for this recent global theatrical spectacle, but I'm quite certain they should have secured a Hollywood Casting Consultant first...

Some Monday afternoon humor - from a Cartoon News Network - Breaking News email a few minutes ago:

"...Meanwhile, a CNN/ORC International poll indicated that nearly nine in 10 Americans surveyed said that Moscow and pro-Russian separatists would try to cover something up in any international investigation of the crash. Just 19% in the survey held a favorable opinion of Russia, down from 41% in February..."

Funny as hell. One has to wonder if they are "cherry picking" their numbers to placate their Obummer regime masters. Too bad they did not a ask if DC, Ukraine, NATO, EU or the Easter Bunny would attempt to cover something up as well! ROFL!

What a pathetic excuse for an alleged news organization.
