Spot The Lone Objector
Yesterday, Navi Pillay, the UN rights chief told an emergency session of the council on Wednesday that Israel's military actions in Gaza could amount to war crimes.
Shortly thereafter, the 47-member council voted (and adopted) a draft resolution titled "Ensuring respect for international law in the Occupied Palestinian Territory" to conduct an investigation whether Israel is indeed engaging in war crimes. Note: this was a vote just to conduct an investigation, nothing more nothing less, no military intervention, no aid, nothing: just an attempt to get some information aside from the constant propaganda barrage.
29 states voted in favour of the investigation and 17 abstained, including many EU states. 1 voted against. Guess which one.

The issue with Palestine is nothing to do with religion....well not Arab religion.
Just about any action in the UN that concerns treating Palestians in humanitarian ways, when put to a vote by the large body, comes out to something like 165 to 2. Every resolution seeking to hold Israel accountable for violations of international law has been blocked by the US. Jews control our media and Israel controls our federal politicians.
To test your thesis, have the UN vote to compel Palestinean recognition of Israel in their next vote.

Forget the two-state solution. It's not workable. There is simply not enough land available. Israel should annex the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, grant the Palestinians citizenship and voting rights, and deal with any ensuing terrorist activities, by any and all parties, under criminal law.
Keeping up the fiction that the Palestinians are "refugees" is ridiculous. Plenty of Arabs -- 20% of the country's population -- are already Israeli citizens, and are perfectly content to remain as such.
But Israel won't do it, because they're afraid of exacerbating the demographic edge the Arabs already enjoy over the Jews. And a one-state solution is the last thing the Palestinian politicos want, because it'll cut them off from milking off their trapped sheeples' titties at will.

As for supporting an outbreak of democracy in the US to all those longing to enjoy American freedoms. The reality is that two democratically elected governments in the middle east, Morsi's in Egypt and Hamas in Gaza have either been over thrown or under consistent attack with US complicity.
Democracy, which expresses the will of the average person in middle eastern countries is a direct threat to US interests. Ever wonder why you never see Iraqi leaders on US news programs at any point in the last 10 years. Because they are likely to respond to interviewer questions with very awkward, for US interests, answers. Ask yourself what the foreign policy of Iraq is toward Israel......anwer, deeply hostile. After a decade of outright occupation and political dominance by US military and political forces the view of the average Iraqi toward Israel hasn't changed an inch.
So, how to view this reality? The answer is simply what is happening now. All US political leadership pays lip service to the principles of democratic institutions while actively seeking to block and undermine them in the middle east. The US will arm any sympathetic government regardless of its legitimacy or composition. Eqypts current ruling military clique easily rebuilt the stockpile of crowd control weaponry Mubarek's dictatorial regime expended trying to block the Egyptian people from having a role in their own government.
Arabs in middle eastern countries know exactly where the US really comes down.......its only American citizens victimized by "news" outlets like the Fox channel that have no clue.
