Flight MH-17 Black Box Reveals "Massive Explosive Decompression"
While it was already reported that the black boxes of flight MH 17 were supposedly not tempered with, despite early propaganda attempts via planted YouTube clips to claim otherwise (clips which have since disappeared replaced by other propaganda), the question of what the data recovery team operating in London would find was unanswered, until earlier today when CBS reported that "unreleased data" from a black box retrieved from the wreckage of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 in Ukraine show findings consistent with the plane's fuselage being hit multiple times by shrapnel from a missile explosion.
"It did what it was designed to do," a European air safety official told CBS News, "bring down airplanes."
The official described the finding as "massive explosive decompression."
Of course none of this is surprising, and has been widely known from the beginning: it was also widely known that the black box would provide no additional information on the $64K question: whose missile was it, and was it a missile launched from the ground or an air-to-air missile fired by a fighter jet.
Perhaps a better question is who is leaking the "unreleased data" and what propaganda is it meant to achieve in what is, as we said a week ago, nothing but a propaganda war on both sides.
As for the real questions the "released" black box data should reveal, they remain as follows:
i) why was the plane diverted from its traditional flight path; and
ii) what was said between the pilots and air traffic control in the minutes before the crash.
Recall that the Ukraine secret service confiscated the ATC conversation logs a week ago, and the fate of said conversations has been unknown ever since, something that Malaysian Airlines revealed to the public promptly after its other, just as infamous plane anomaly, flight MH 370 disappeared forever from radar.

I consider that possibility the least likely out of 4 (vs A2A, Kiev SAM, bomb) for many reasons. One is the rebels probably didn't have the capability to shoot down planes at 10 km. The Donetsk militia admitted right after the crash they obtained the Strela-10M with a range of 5km, and the Lugansk militia had them a couple weeks earlier. Pororshenko accused Russia of downing an AN-26 on July 14th at an altitude of 6.5km and he said the militia didn't have the capability of hitting planes at that height. He could have been exaggerating about the altitude, or the militia could have shot it down from a higher elevation with the Strela. But the Strela couldn't have hit the Boeing. The BUK system the militia captured earlier was apparently not operational, and requires months of training.

On another site it was offered that perhaps it was an Israeli F15 that shot at a plane visualy looking like Putin's, and bearing Putin's radar signature becaue Russia was smart enough to fly through Europe (limited security) while cyber-hacking the radar tags, swapping with a close and logical flight. An airliner has a massively bigger radar signature than a fighter so if a fighter flies in such a way that the airliner is behind and above it in a direct line of sight from the SAM launcher and the SAM uses radar tracking then the missile might lock on to the airliner instead.

Transcripts of the communications between ATC and the aircraft should have been released by now, especially if the west wants to be seen as doing an objective investigation. Anyone with a radio receiver tuned to the appropriate frequencies used along the route could have listened in and recorded the exchanges so playing stupid games with the information would not be very bright.
The US will have also captured communications among the fighter jets and base, but we will never hear those, probably because they are damning.
(You will recall that the US had the communications between the Russian fighters and base when the Russians downed Korean 007 way back in 1983 off Sakhalin)

On a technical level it is highly unlikely MH17 was shot down by accident.
Fundamental training in the use of missile systems would be intensive on identifying friend and foe. The skies are littered with all types of friendly aircraft and 100s of commercial airliners, Even a novice operator would have seen and been taught the difference between a distinctive commercial jet and possible military craft. This would be basic stuff.
You wouldn't be shooting these things down by accident in my view. It requires highly concocted scenarios to reason an accidental shoot down.
And in incidents like these you just look to see who benefits to find the guilty party.

If it was a rebel BUK there are three ways Ukraine jets flying close to MH17 could be involved.
1) deliberate
UA jets fly between MH17 and the BUK and jam MH17's IFF signal so it looked like a military target (IFF = friend or foe signal)
2) half deliberate, half accident
UA attack jets using airliners for cover. this doesn't mean physical cover. civilian airliners have a massively bigger radar signature compared with a military jet fighter so if a fighter stays close enough to that radar signal a missile using radar targeting might not be able to risk shooting at it.
(an incident like this happened in 2001 with Siberian Airlines Flight 1812 where a training missile missed a dummy target and locked onto an airliner)
So they fly in using an airliner as cover, make their attack and then hightail it out.
3) accident
UA attack jets make a bombing run using ECM (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxxst0fEYxk for how that works). A BUK fires at it and misses because of the ECM and the missile locks onto an airliner flying above.
conclusion
If the US satellite info shows UA jets flying near MH17 then that might be why the US won't show it.

For dummies. One, if was a SAM, an AAM is simply not sufficient to render an aircraft of this size so uncontrollable so quickly. Read on Soviets downing a 747 with an AAM. A 747 is of comparable size to a 777. Two, it was a Russian-supplied SAM. It might have been fired by the "rebels", but that's immaterial here. Three, MH17 was on one of the flight routes above the area. Four, there was no Spanish ATC in Kyiv - the area where MH17 was shot down is not even Kyiv ATC responsibility, the flight was led from Dnipropetrovsk at the time.

Malaysian airlines begs to differ, they have their info that indicates Kiev directed the flight. Also an Air India pilot flying a minute behind the Malaysian flight confirms that Kiev directed the 777 into the war zone area at lower altitude. Kiev security confiscated the atc tapes in Kiev. Why havn't we heard what was on them yet? It still is not confirmed what or who shot the jet down.
Whether shot down by accident or intentionally, most of the evidence on how and why this occurred will most likely come from sources other than the crash site or fields where the flight went down. I'm tired of hearing how drunken separatist thugs have been gathering up the bodies of the dead and moving them with little respect. Anyone who has ever undertaken such a task will tell you it is a difficult and horrible job. Not seen this asked before, though must have been. Why would the separatists shot down a plane at that altitude heading towards Russia? How did they know it was a Ukrainian Air Force plane, and at the height at in that direction it would need to make a sharp turn soon enough as it would be sensible to enter Russian air space. I presume that the MH 17 was flying in a straight line and hadn't made any drastic course changes. I try not to get too hot headed with conspiracy theories but this one does stink.

The only UA aircraft big enough and flies high enough to be mistaken for an airliner is the Il-76 transport plane.
There's a cut off Ukraine airborne brigade along the eastern border with Russia that Ukraine were trying to supply by air.
Last I heard, the Ukrainians were (reluctantly) being chased across the border into Russia where the Russkies might be picking them up and locking them up for the duration of the conflict.

KIEV, July 26 (RIA Novosti) – Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in a telephone conversation with Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott expressed hope that the Ukrainian parliament will ratify the agreement allowing Australia’s police mission access to the MH17 crash site next week, the presidential press service said on Saturday.
“The President of Ukraine informed the Australian Prime Minister that the agreement had been signed yesterday afternoon and immediately submitted to the Ukrainian parliament. He also noted that he expected a speedy decision on the ratification of the agreement at an emergency session of the Verkhovna Rada next week,” the statement by the press service reads.
It was earlier reported that Australia’s authorities were planning to send 100 police officers to Ukraine to ensure security of experts investigating the circumstances of the tragedy that took place on July 17 near the city of Donetsk.
According to Abbott, this group will join another 90 officers who are currently waiting in London for a decision by the Ukrainian parliament.
The agreement elaborates that Australia may send to the crash site military, police or civilian personnel that can assist in the search for the plane debris and in the investigation, including a criminal one.
Australian representatives will be allowed to carry arms and use force for self-defense purposes.
Earlier on Saturday, 40 police officers from the Netherlands that are leading the investigation into the crash arrived in Kharkiv.

At about 20mins in he is saying that the flight data for FH17 on Flightradar24's database has been retrospectivly changed for the flights preceeding the 17th to show that they were all on the same war zone flightpath. All the way back to May!
Just a shame that so many screen grabs are on the Net showing that the 17th was the first day on that route, including ZH. Better protect the ZH archive!

But you really only have to ask how a bullet would come to be flying stabily backwards = it is impossible.
In the same way, a radar guided missile works on proximity. If the missile came from the front, then it will explode near the front of the aircraft.
If it came from the back, it will explode near the back of the aircraft.
Of course, we already know which side of the aircraft the missile exploded on - the front - because that chunk of fuselage has been found, and many pictures of it shared.
Those who propose that an aircraft located BEHIND the airliner could fire a proximity-fused missile in a way that would result in the missile exploding IN FRONT of the aircraft need to explain how the missile got in front without exploding.
