The Shocking Reason Putin Isn't Worried About The $50 Billion Yukos Ruling

Tyler Durden's picture

Having $50 billion of assets under potential seizure is enough to make anyone whince. However, despite a quickly worded statement on the Yukos award, Vladimir Putin seems less than anxious to find a resolution. We think we know why, and it's very concerning.

As The FT reports confirming our earlier comments:

The award is a landmark not just for its size – 20 times the previous record for an arbitration ruling. The tribunal also found definitively that Russia’s pursuit of Yukos and its independently-minded main shareholder, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, a decade ago was politically motivated.

...

Though Russia cannot appeal against the award, Moscow said it would pursue all legal avenues for trying to get it “set aside”.

Even if the ruling stands, shareholders face a tortuous battle trying to enforce it. If Moscow refuses to pay, they must pursue Russian sovereign commercial assets in the 150 countries that are party to the so-called 1958 New York Convention on enforcing arbitration awards.

But perhaps this explains why Putin is not coming out swinging, as The FT concludes,

One person close to Mr Putin said the Yukos ruling was insignificant in light of the bigger geopolitical stand-off over Ukraine.

“There is a war coming in Europe,” he said. “Do you really think this matters?”

Those are puppets within the United States.

Geopolitically, the UK is No.1 puppet. Recall the screaming coming from Cameron/Hague to bomb Syria in support of Washington. Recall the obscene comments spewed relentlessly by Cameron & Co since MH17 went down in support of Washington. Recall Cameron's decision the other day to hold a public inquiry into the murder in London of Litvinenko, widely believed to have been the work of the Russian government because he was an MI6 double-agent.

Mick, that link is mostly, maybe almost entirely horseshit, from the glance I gave it.

As to who is the puppet of whom, I think US foreign policy is controlled by probably a few different groups, overlapping, and that there are shifting alliances at all times.  the MI{S}C, Banking dynasties/interests, large international corporations generally [oil, pharma, illegal drugs often run through clandestine ops in significant part] and Ido believe it fairly obvious - international Zionism are the 4 horsemen here.

There's overlap, for sure, but take a look at Iraq.  Cheney is lumped in with the "neocons" but he assuredly had different motivations than the Perles and Feiths.  The oil companies weren't lobbying for the war, the pro-Israel crowd, openly, was.  The same crowd pushed for ww1 for Balfour.  That same crowd did push through the Fed Reserve Act and likely really does, as the "conspiracy theories" go - own a very disproportionate amount of shares.

In any event, the Vatican, Jesuits, space lizard, annunaki, luciferians...  mostly distractors. The Vatican and the Church hierarchy has a lot of land wealth, but it doesn't print money or have an army and most Catholics in Europe and North America are quite secular, Christmas and Easter Christians. There are around 3,000 Jesuits - they control a bunch of colleges, but not very tightly, and that's about it.  People mentioning Vatican/Jesuits want, I think, to distract you from the clear power brokers in government, banking and media.

The ability to print money out of thin air and loan it at interest, and the ability to command a military and mercenaries and armies of spies  - that's power.  The ability to control the media, and which candidates run for sham elections - that's power.   These powers ALL in their own way benefit tremendously from war and debt.

Wars are very bad for church attendance and Sunday donations.

As to the stuff in your link, pick a few at random and spend a little time looking into it objectively and see what you find.

As usual, Russia is three steps ahead of the clueless West. It was apparent several months ago that the mess in Ukraine would end up shattering NATO like the rack in a game of 8-Ball. The Eastern Europeans and the Germans literally cannot live without Russia. There is nothing the West can do to satisfy their immediate needs; we cannot do a Berlin Airlift to replace billions of cubic feet of lost Russian natural gas. And yet NATO defense commitments force them, at least on paper, to toe the American line on foreign policy. This is the kind of alliance that simply makes no sense anymore. America is out of touch with the political and economic realities affecting its far-flung empire of vassal states, who for their own good must "dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another." We really can't complain against this, since we fought our own revolution for the exact same reasons.

No, you are missing the point. Oil and gas are finite.

If you kill 100 million Russians and 200 million Europeans then the competition for those resources is reduced. That benefits America.

Why Putin is Under Attack

President Vladimir Putin is no perfect man. He reached his political coming of age in the shadowy intelligence services of the old Soviet Union. In that milieu he learned the highest arts of any spy; subterfuge and camouflage. But in truth, the talents of deceit are honed to a much higher degree in the American political system than in any autocratic nation. In a nation where the government has some influence over media rather than being at the mercy of the unelected, self-appointed media elite, the public official can speak somewhat frankly.

Contrarily, a politician in the United States or Britain must be careful never to speak his mind honestly or he might find himself eviscerated by media which are always on the lookout for the slightest political incorrectness.

The Anglo-American politician must be judiciously careful not to say anything that could even be remotely construed as criticizing even the lowest echelons of Jewish power. For instance, look at the huge flap in London right now over the comments of the Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, to an obnoxious Jewish reporter who was hounding him. For simply retorting to the reporter that he was acting like a concentration camp guard you would have thought Livingstone to be a friend of Hitler. The Jewish Board of Deputies and a score of Jewish columnists accused him of denying the realities of Jewish suffering and trivializing the Holocaust - all for simply criticizing a single Jewish reporter. Now they threaten to actually remove this man who was elected by the overwhelming majority of Londoners because of his trivial statement.

Of course one must understand, a Jewish reporter is in effect the enforcer of political correctness. He is the policeman and inquisitor of Jewish supremacism. To criticize one of them is equated in the minds of the media to assaulting a member of the police, the thought police.

Putin has committed a far greater crime in the minds of the Jewish media. He is Russian. A real Russian. Although he came to power with back door political manipulation and with the aid of some Jewish allies, underneath he has always had a Russian soul waiting for the chance to assert itself.

So he played the game. In some ways Stalin was his model. Although Stalin fit comfortably into the Jewish milieu of the early Bolshevik revolution with his Jewish wife and many Jewish friends, Stalin was Georgian and he always knew that he could never fit in with the coterie of Jews who upon Lenin’s death circled like vultures around the Russian throne of power. Trotsky, Radek, Kamenov Sverdlov, they were all of the Hebrew cut. They never saw Stalin coming, after all, what could this one lone goy among them do to challenge them? When they finally saw the true face of this utterly ruthless man, it was too late.

The story is now legend, As the Jewish Bolsheviks fought it out ferociously among themselves for power, with Trotsky (Bronstein) as the leading contender, and since Stalin wasn’t Jewish he was the one they felt was no real threat so that they could give some reins of police power. In fact, Stalin helped them literally eliminate each other and he ultimately emerged as the strong man. The purges of the 1920s and 30s eliminated many of the Jewish cliques that dominated the Bolshevik government. Stalin was careful not to completely purge all the Jews from the government and many powerful Jews remained in very important posts, one of the most prominent being Lazar Kaganovich. But Stalin began a policy of re-Russifying the Russian government, after all, he knew the war could not be fought and won without rekindling the Russian patriotic spirit. But he always kept at hand compliant Jews so that the world-wide Jewish love affair with the Soviet State would not be severed.

Some powerful and perceptive Jews in the United States saw the sea change occurring in Russia, and a process began that has ultimately culminated in the very weird reality of former Trotskyite communists, the neocons becoming the dominators of the American conservative movement! The one thing that mitigated early overseas Jewish opposition to Stalin was that they needed Stalin and Russia if they were to overcome what they considered the greatest threat to Jewish supremacism: National Socialist Germany.

The Bolsheviks had installed the Internationale as the national anthem. Stalin replaced it with an old Russian hymn. Advancement once again became based mostly on abilities and not Jewish tribal loyalties and connections. Russians rapidly advanced and occupied the leading the positions in the military and other government structures and by the end of the war the bulk of the Jewish power, although still far greater than their population percentage, was greatly diminished. Russians were motivated by appeals to protect Mother Russia rather than international worker solidarity. However, Russia was still crippled and saddled by the inept and corrupt system of Jewish communism, and although some improvements in Russian life occurred, this Marxist, flawed economic system could never give the Russian people either real freedom or prosperity.

Most mainstream Jewish sources now claim that Stalin planned a "final solution" to the Russian Jewish problem by the resettlement of the Jews into a their own republic, much like the Czarist Pale of Settlement created in earlier centuries. The same Jewish authorities actually boast in the idea, whether real or fanciful, that Stalin’s Jewish doctors along with Lazar Kaganovich murdered Stalin on the very eve of his new pogrom. Kaganovich himself claimed to his nephew that he and his sister Rosa, a doctor, poisoned Stalin by switching Stalin’s pills with ones that would cause a stroke. (From which he died)

When the Gentile communist Nikita Khruschev accused Kaganovich in 1957 at a Soviet Party Congress of having murdered 20 million Russians during his career, Kaganovich didn’t even deny it. He only accused Khruschev of being a murderer too. "Your hands are blood-stained too", Kaganovich told him. Khruschev pointed out that the difference was that he, Khruschev, had merely followed Kaganovich’s orders, while it had been Kaganovich who had formulated the policies of mass murder and had given the orders for carrying out those policies.

It is impossible that Vladimir Putin is not aware of all these things. Every knowledgeable Russian is aware of them. And with the fall of Communism and the new state that emerged, Jews reasserted their power as they not had since the time of Lenin and Trotsky. In the two years following the fall of the Soviet State, through international Jewish capital and massive bribery, threats, murder and gangsterism, Jews seized control of most of wealth of Russia in undoubtedly the greatest series of criminal thefts in the history of mankind.

The Jewish Oligarchs (10 of 11 of the most powerful were Jews) grabbed control of at least 65 percent of the wealth of Russia. The most politically active of the leading oligarchs was a vicious gangster and murderer named Boris Berezovsky. At one point Putin aligned with him in his quest for power. There was even an article in the Moscow Times newspaper about how Putin used to vacation in Berezovsky’s summer house in Spain.

Berezovsky had risen under Boris Yeltsin as the head of National Security for Russia. But, a firestorm of justified anger broke out in Russia against him when it was learned that Berezovsky, the head of Russian security was also a citizen of Israel.

As Putin gained more and more power in the Russian hierarchy he began to assert himself and eventually broke with Berezovsky and Gusinsky and a number of the Jewish Oligarchs. Since that time their have been thousands of sympathetic articles about Berezovsky and Gusinsky and articles about the lawlessness of Putin for daring to prosecute these men. Recently, Berezovsky’s biggest critic was gunned down on the streets of Moscow. Now this is the kind of man that the Jewish-dominated media loves!

Putin has not acted against all of the Oligarchs. He was too much of a cold war chess player to do that, but he went against any of them who tried to assert power over him, much like Stalin did decades earlier. Berezovsky and Gusinsky (the gangster Gusinsky who was head of the Russian Jewish Congress) are now Putin’s most bitter enemies. No other leader in the western world would dare to go after such powerful Jewish supremacist.

The latest case is that of Michael Khodorkovsky of Yukos Oil. Through graft and corruption Khodorkovsky obtained billions of dollars of oil leases for a pittance in the mid-nineties. But as he amassed his incredible wealth he decided he had the right to determine the political fate of Russia. In fact, he had the chutzpah to boast of that fact he will buy the Russian Duma. Putin, feeling threatened, and rightfully so, questioned why a man who stole billions of dollars from the Russian people then would have the right to corrupt government the same way as he obtained his oil leases. Khodorkovsky and almost all of the principle stockholders of Yukos are not only Jews but are in fact Israeli citizens, and many of the major stockholders (criminals) are now hiding out in Israel with the blessing of the Israeli government.

Putin and his government initiated prosecutions of these Jewish supremacist gangsters that have committed the worst thievery in history.

The reaction from the Jewish-dominated press in America and around the world is quite predictable. There has been a crescendo of criticism of Putin and universal defense of the "persecuted" Jewish oligarchs. Putin has even been accused of "anti-Semitism" for prosecuting these criminals.

Because Putin believes that the Russian people should own the press rather than citizens of Israel, he is called an enemy of a free press. Yet, how can any press be free when it is controlled by a people who view themselves more Jewish than Russian and have their own clear international agenda? And today, as Bush calls for Russia to have a free press (translated: the Jewish criminal oligarchs such as Jewish mafia leader Berezovsky should control the press) they call on Russia to pass laws and prosecute Russians who dare to simply criticize the Jewish criminal oligarchs and the their allegiances to Israel and Jewish supremacism rather than to Russia and Russians.

Bush has even had the hypocrisy to criticize Putin for consolidating Russian federal power. In America the federal government literally spends one thousand times more money on the federal government than does Russia. As shocking as that might sound for most Americans to read, it is fact. America spends about 4 trillion on government; Russia spends less than 40 billion! And Bush has the chutzpah to talk about consolidation of power in Russia!

The American government has become the epitome of everything we once opposed. Russia is not communist any more, but the American government, under the domination of the Jewish neocons (who are former communists) acts more and more like the communists have acted for decades.

Bush criticizes Putin and Russian freedom while he works to take away American constitutional freedoms with the Patriot Act.

While the political mafia that controls America kept opposition candidates such as Ralph Nader off many state ballots, Russia had over 20 different parties on the ballot in their National elections.

In America where only two parties control almost the entire political landscape and there’s hardly a dime’s worth of difference, (such as on the Iraq War) Russia is represented by many parties in their Duma with a wide range of political philosophies and opinions.

Russians of every possible political opinion have representation in the Duma (Congress) while tens of millions of Americans have no voice at all in government for their political opinions. It is precisely why the American founding fathers rebelled against Britain: taxation without representation!

And in the midst of this concerted attack on Putin and Russia, where is the opposition to the still existent, extremely dangerous, still communist nation of China? Patrick Buchanan put it very well in a recent article:

"Why are McCain and Lieberman bullyragging Russia but not China? After all, Putin was elected, but Hu Jintao was not. Russia has an elected legislature with opposition parties. China has never held a free election. The Russian people have freedom of religion. China persecutes Christians. Russia threatens no U.S. ally. China threatens Taiwan. In a recent issue of Parade, a list was drawn up of the world’s 10 worst dictators based on their human rights violations. Hu Jintao was fourth from the top. Putin was not even mentioned."

There is only one reason for the attacks upon Putin and Russia. Putin and the Russian people dare to defend themselves from the powers of Jewish supremacism. The oligarchs and the Zionists want total supremacy over the Russian nation, and that’s why they have made Putin a target. Their puppet George Bush, just as in the Iraq war, is happy to serve these masters of the American political landscape. It is not just leaders of AIPAC that are being investigated for spying who should wear the yellow coat of treason, George Bush has surrendered his presidency completely to this foreign power and shames every real American who has pride in our country.

The truth is that Putin in attempting to defend Russia from the power of the Jewish supremacists - is in effect, defending all Americans, and all people everywhere who cherish their freedom and heritage. He is Russian rather than American, but his heritage is far closer to the American people and our interests than the Jewish supremacist misanthropists.

The biggest roadblock to the New World Order and a sublimation of America and Europe to Jewish-supremacist globalism is Vladimir Putin .

As important a figure Putin is for every freedom-loving Russian, he is just as important to those who love freedom in the United States of America, in Britain and all over the European world

Only one thing I would add, Stalin was trained by Jesuits while in the Tiflis Orthodox Seminary in Georgia—openly admitted by “Koba” himself to journalist and Masonic Jew Emil Ludwig (Cohen). It is best to remember the Bolsheviks shared power with their jewish brethren who also run the Jesuit cap of the pyramid.Loyala who founded the Jesutis was himself Jewish.

Both Hitler and Stalin were trained at the tavistock insititue in Britain and actually played chess together there. They were both British agents.

Unlikely.  Don't underestimate them.  Germany's billionaire class is playing for independent big power status. Conflict with the US is inevitable, but in what context?  They face a choice between a future in BRICS or as a German Empire assuming control of NATO.  I was hopeful, but Maykel's shift to full sanctions on Russia and participation in the plunder of Ukraine since the Malaysian airliner shoot-down points to latter.

There are many other forces coming into play, including the regular people of Germany, the level of play is high and the meltdown of the dollar and the world economy is essentially unstoppable and unprecedented.  Many players face the danger of revolution at home, including China, India, Brazil, South Africa, Southern Europe - and the US.  (US an unlikely candidate you say?  ON the surface yes, but I know what's in people's hearts, people of all races, most income levels and political persuasions; our political system is utterly incapable of representing our real interests; and we're just naive enough not to know what we can't do.)

How long will the US & UK versions of RT.com TV last? A week?

The unelected, unaccountable and Doublespeak named "Independent" Ofcom regulatory body which is in charge of supervising TV stations for compliance with licences, rules & regs has already given RT.com a dressing down yesterday for its coverage of the MH17 disaster. Apparently, the British government doesn't take kindly to RT showing live presentatioins of Russian top-brass describing Western allegations against Russia are all unfounded and based on "social media". Nor of presenting its revealing satellite imagery when Washington dare not do the same.

And how long will ZeroHedge last if the going gets tough?? Last week's apparent DDoS attack may have been a trial run for what's planned. I hope the Tylers have a mirror backup available.

Then there'll be travel restrictions and currency controls imposed. Any banks which go under will be bailed-in by investors, assuming their money hasn't already been stolen by government and used as compulsory war loans.

Chill out, munchkins. NO WAR is coming. Period. Economic collapse, yes; but the current potential for a hot war will be cut off at the knees at the last possible moment as the rest of the world seeks to buy time.

The U.S. is almost all bluster now, and is weakening hourly, while most of the rest of the world is , and has been for some time now, frantically preparing a way to drop and dump the dollar in a concerted effort that will occur almost overnight, thus consequently plunging the U.S. into a chaos of helplessness brought on entirely by the hubris of its ruling class and the pathetic complacency of its flag waving rabble.

I live, by the way, in Oklahoma, where we take our neuroplasticity a bit more seriously than the rest of you violent, covert flag-waving twits. Wake up and smell the geopolitics.

In the ultimate irony, corruption is our last ace in the hole: in that those who give the orders as to who gets a missile up their butt are themselves controlled by the ultra-wealthy, who in turn make their judgements entirely on the basis of real, hard-asset profitability. These guys defend neither borders nor national sovereignty, so those considerations have long since flown out the window, and virtually every last penny has already been wrung out of the system. Ergo, the entire US itself is, and will be, thrown under the bus, but in such a manner as to (it is no doubt hoped) not inflict any damage on the profit margins of overseas investments. And please note how much money and capital has been flowing into the BRICS system. As always, follow the money...

Yes, and those ultra-wealthy have long been openly planning to eliminate the vast majority of worthless eaters (human beings), because they firmly believe that furthers their interests.  So I agree with most of what you say, but the motivations that matter are not only those you see played out day to day, month to month, year to year.

Also, quite a few of the "leaders" who are "controlled" by strings manipulated by the ultra-wealthy are not exactly rational, emotionally balanced humans.  They are predatory psychopaths.

All it takes is for one of them to momentarily get pissed and give orders to their military (or snipers, or other options) and start something that can't or won't be stopped.

Make no mistake.  The USSA is the evil empire on this planet, and evil empires will do anything to pretend they're not in the process of spiraling down the toilet of history.  As situations get crazier, expect the crazier people to dominate even more completely.

When a loaf of bread costs 10,000 U.S. dollars, then Russia may decide to pay.

So, let's do some calculations. If the purchasing power of $1 USD falls to $10,000 USD, then the current $50 billion "owed" by Russia in the Yukos dispute will be the equivalent of approximately $5 million USD in today's money.

Ukraine spends about $1 billion (minmum) per month to Russsia for natural gas. then when the $10,000 level is reached (as above), UKraine will be spending about $10 Trillion USD (minimum) per month to Russia for natural gas.

So, it appears that Russia will be able to afford that $50 billion !!!!

Contentious thread, as always.

Might I humbly suggest - what should really be at issue here isn't so much which side is more or less right, etc.

What should be at issue is the United States, and its relation to Israel, to Palestine, and to the conflict as a whole.

In that vein, I do not care to argue with mental deficients like 'canucklehead' or tireless, dishonest propagandists like ... eh, you know, I'll just name the one handle.  If you think the 4th most powerful military in the world is legitimately "defending itself" by bombing schools and hospitals, and if you simply don't care about the plain fact that Hamas rockets came after air strikes [and other IDF and Jewish mob actions] which came after kidnappings which basically everyone is now admitting Hamas didn't do - then you're as to the first matter absurd, and as to the second completely uninterested in the facts, and respectfully - none of us should be reduced to calling each other names.

For the moment, and I'm new here, I know it doesn't matter, but WTF, I want to jump in to say that my concern is the United States, not arguing history or politics with people who aren't open to new evidence.

In that spirit - I say, cut off all aid to both Israel and Palestine, and aggressively move against any and all existing Israeli spy rings, and dismantle the NSA which is in all likelihood fully compromised by Israeli/Jewish spies.

and yes, Jewish influence in media, both by direct ownership, management, and reporting, and the more indirected pressure group like the ADL and AIPAC can put on any honest, objective reporter as to Israel's Occpation - has to be discussed.  Jewish influence is far in excess of what it 'should' be by demographics, and this matters given the reflexive emotional attachment to Israel a large minority have, particularly given the well-evidenced desire of the Jewish neocons to use the United States as sword and shield to weaken all its regional potential rivals.

Israel is a military, economic, and strategic liability.  It is not a true ally and has never been.  Those who aim to keep us connected at the hip to Israel's right wing governmnt, be they dual citizen Israelis, or Southern Evangelical end-of-the-worlders, are traitors to peace, and to the Republic.

This is my opinion, FWIW, as an American.  I don't really care what Israelis think about the matter, I just care that Israel and Israel Firster Jews and Evangelicals have had too much power for too long and it has to be pushed back.  And soon.

What all of these recent developments really says about the true status of the planetary civilization is that we are now a minute to midnight. No, we are closer to midnight than that, perhaps only seconds away from the ending of the expansive 6000 year era known as the Age of Quarrel. Fortunately or unfortunately, most do not even have a clue, since Maya always intensifies toward the end of every Kali Yuga. It has to be this way. Otherwise, very few would ever get out of bed in the morning to face the brutal realities. And so it is during the upcoming grand finale of the current age.

For those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, please know that the current pandemic of ignorance and arrogance is quite purposeful. It is induced — by the Universe itself — for the protection of the masses so that their ignorance has become bliss. The bliss that comes with not knowing the grim realities which abound everywhere one looks.[1]

Those who have followed the writings of Paul Craig Roberts since he was assistant secretary of the Treasury and former associate editor of the Wall Street Journal have watched a man transform from commenting on economics and politics to a man terrified that his country is going to war with Russia.

Each succeeding year, Roberts’ warnings about the demise of the American system and the dangers from a banking-cartel takeover become stronger. Today’s column warning about war with Russia is the strongest Roberts has ever written: “The World Is Doomed by Western Insouciance, Don’t Expect to Live Much Longer.” Here are a few sample sentences:

“Washington now has in motion the wheels of war. Once the wheels of war begin to turn, momentum carries them forward. The foolish, indeed utterly stupid, governments and media in Europe seem unaware of Washington’s orchestration of their future or lack thereof, or they are indifferent to it. They are dooming themselves and all of humanity by their insouciance.”

Warns Roberts: “Senate bill 2277 provides for beefing up forces on Russia’s borders and for elevating Ukraine’s status to “ally of the US” so that US troops can assist the war against “terrorists” in Ukraine. http://un.ua/eng/article/522930.html See also: http://www.globalresearch.ca/collapse-of-ukraine-government-prime-minister-yatsenyuk-resigns-amidst-pressures-exerted-by-the-imf/5393168

"There is a war coming in Europe"

That must be a message from a parallel universe.

What sort of war?

All fighting with knifes and axes? What if somebody escalates and uses guns? NO, no guns allowed

Then all fighting with guns and cannons? What if somebody escalates and uses fighter jets? NO, no jets allowed

Then all fighting with jets and carriers and missiles? No, no missiles allowed.

... nuclear maybe ... no. you are not allowed ...

The first one to push the nuclear button is committing suicide and killing his family, and mankind

Do you think those up there are stupid?

There is no war coming. War is only possible in far away undeveloped countries. A war in Europe would be a war in the US within hours.

Besides that - if there was an enemy who is REALLY serious he could use those 150 nuclear bombs already put in place in Europe, the nuclear power plants. Greenpeace has shown 2 years ago that they could land with a motorized parachute on a NPP in France.

The one who really wants to fight Europe needs only to attack those unprotected NPP and Europe becomes a nuclear wasteland.

There will be no war in Europe. It is all just a huge theater performance for all of us.

I fear that too many see vulnerabilities only on one side, and they long for the conquest the vulnerabilities present.

I fear that too many forget that one side losing does not mean the other side won.

In short people understand DOMINANCE, but they do not understand reality.

In reality the result of war is mass starvation and brutal death on ALL SIDES.

To those American 'Putin' fans I say,

It is a weak and unworhty person who wishes death and slavery to his neighbors to spare him the responsibility of materially standing up for his own beliefs, and instead seeking a foreign strong man to do it for him.

The neocons don't want war they want Russia's unconditional surrender but that comes to the same thing. They need to get Europe behind sanctions first. If that is achieved they'll start actively helping Ukraine against the rebels with advisors, satellite info etc. If the rebels are defeated the next step will be to build up forces on the border with Crimea.

Stopping sanctions will slow them down and the rebels holding out as long as possible will slow it down.

There will be no war! As well as all this speculations are in favor of only one person, Putin himself who wants to continue to stay in power by making others believe that the choice is between him and the war, hence, obviously people would prefer the former.

Typical propaganda and public opinion technique. Nice job ZH!

Putin's buddies in KGB nor in the Army are not insane in comparison to their boss who "completely lost the connection with the reality".

Not a single intelligent person supports Putin nor people at large are insane to risk their lives for a false someone's idiocracy. Once he would make such an announcement, there will be revolution in 5 days across the entire country as people would prefer to die at home rather than God knows where.

You think the police would support the government? They all understand the system inside out and are only awaiting for the D day to run away hence are "making money" rather than doing any actual police job.

But most likely there would be a coup in the first place among Putin's friends, agreed with the West so they remove the boss but keep money and leave the country to live somewhere happily thereafter and german secret services already confirm that:

How can the US build tanks and aircraft and drones and things without microprocessors manufactured in China?

How can the US compete if all of these resources are diverted to the BRIC nations?

How can the US compete when BRICS move to secure most of the planet's energy resources?

What will happen if all of that US debt gets dumped on the open market?

Unless they're all in it together?!

Follow the Sachs of Gold and Shields of Red.....

Have you ever thought about a prequel to Orwell's "1984" where the the leaders of the 3 adversarial powers, created terror to control their populations and then fought phony wars to eventually enslave them?

China, Russia and the US playing mind games on us.

iam starting to see this as true. This is all a theatrical production. The heads of all this are all in the same boat, pulling strings and levers all to a grand tune. We are mere pawns in a game that will not end well ( for us) while the elite hide in bunkers WE paid for. Putin has probably been given a seat at the NWO table when it's all over and done with. Back Channel communication is the real chat while msm and alternative play the game for the masses. It's all over but the crying.

Given the lay of the land of realpolitik, it's hard to imagine any satisfactory conclusion to today's events.

Starting with an unsustainable population and population growth, followed by too rapid a depletion of natural resources, climate change, a byproduct of man's breakneck creation of carbon dioxide  --  the unintended consequence of making an honest buck  --   terrorism by those who claim to feel the yoke of the West, good revolutionaries overthrowing our adversaries, bad revolutionaries overthrowing our friends.  The list goes on.

My own belief is that the there is far less oil in the ground than our government is telling us. On May 21, 2014 they informed us that the 2 trillion barrels of oil shale that were going to make the US an oil exporter by 2020, had been OVERESTIMATED BY 96%.

So it's possible to concoct a scenario that the US today is moving all oil production out of unfriendly hands (countries not drilling fast enough for the US) into the hands of major producers.

And when peak oil AND peak depletion come, the US military will impound all production and ration a share to the important Western allies.

What will it be like then?  Read 1984 again.

In reality America has few military options in Russia's backyard unless it has the backing of a full and enthusiastic NATO and that is very unlikely. Europe has reason to be unexcited about a possible long and expensive conflict. While still trying to recover from a recession Europe would face fuel shortages and a massive spike in the price of natural gas.

Currently Russia supplies much of the gas used in Europe, this gives Putin a great deal of leverage. If an actual ground attack were to occur few see the Russians as likely to rollover as other armies have when America approaches. More on this subject in the article below.

And nobody is sure if those microprocessors made in China can actually be shut off by China in a pinch either. We certainly saw Russian bombers flying directly over the decks of US warships in the Black Sea 12 times knowing the Aegis system would be paralyzed. In fact if the story is correct, 27 sailors went awol in Romania once the ship got back.

We may be watching a scenario here where the US, China and Russia attempt to destroy each other and Europe sits back and watches, especially London Town and the Vaticn who plan most of this activity anyway.

Good point.

I know a retired AF MSGT who started a business selling chips to the military. Personally, he is an asshole, but he is an honest asshole. Anyway, the Chicoms were removing old chips from circuit boards and washing them in a stream near their factory. They had the machinery to print the part #s on the chips.

The USG bought tons of these chips. The AF guy almost went out of business because he checked all the chips and had to toss most of them out. He finally got a new supplier. But! Many others in this niche realm were just selling  them off.  The USG finally figured this out. There is no telling what kind of chips they are getting from the Chicoms, IMHO.

MSGT Assholio and I were in the same reserve guard unit after he retired from regular AF. I will have to say he did not want any US flyboys depending on Chicom chips, but it makes you wonder if many of the problems w/US weapons systems are due to Chicom chippery.

If I'm Mr. Putin, I begin asking China if it would like a nice piece of Eastern Siberia in exchange for a couple hundred thousand soldiers, and some tanks, maybe a new railroad to connect SW Russia to the Far East...  Surely China must see the writing on the wall, needs the land/water, and could easily dispatch 200k troops to Russia's west for long term 'exercises'.

I'd also send a few naval vessels to Syria and give them, in the clear light of day, better anti-aircraft missiles as well as some ballistics.  I'd park a few subs in the eastern med, on exercises.  I'd make it very clear that any airstrikes or missile strikes by the US or Israel on Russian nationals would be treated as an act of war.

The time for playing D is over - and I'm not looking for a war, I'm looking for a way to avoid it. That means speaking in the only language the people running the Washington-London-Tel Aviv axis understand. That means subs near Israel's coast, and it also means daring to put their aircraft carrie there with a dozen or so jets.

A mad dog is frightening.  A mad bear is truly terrifying.  Meanwhile, Putin can on the other hand make loud noises about demilitarizing the East of Ukraine and having the parties meet under UN Security Council auspices to discuss some kind of limited autonomy, and suggest teaming up with the US and Israel to confront ISIS and'fight terrory'  [and yes, ISIS is without any doubt Saudi and CIA backed, and quite possibly has Israeli and Turkish involvement as well - this is for the cameras stuff]

It's not like there's any sign of an Operation Valkyrie within the US or NATO, and as admirable as many on the Israeli Left are, it's clear that country's majority is rapidly going full retard, and the name of the game is not letting it, and its embedded 5th columnists and dual citizens drag us into needless conflict, as seems to be the purpose of many of the zionist right.

Of course, even better than above - Obama or the CIA discover, suddenly, lots of evidence of Israeli spying, and politely direct the media to talk about it at great length.

Obama could pick up the phone when Abe Foxman calls and say, "not on this one Abe.  this time, it's all gone too far."

America First. That's really not too much to ask.

The operable word is 'psychopaths', and not having a conscience makes their mission much easier than simple termites who have to operate within the system of their group, as psychopaths do not, will not... they simple act like a virus and infiltrate, spread and destroy 'until death do us part'. That is what Putin has to keep in mind, and no doubt, he's had some experience with these types already, as oligarchs around the world love to use these predatory machines to test the waters before 'pulling the rug out' on the whole puppet show.... 'bringing down the house'... before Mother Nature does.... anyone notice how quiet the sun is lately? That usually spells 'little Ice Age' at the minimum, but since we live within an interglacial, we are set to return to the norm, ie a regular glacial period, rather soon.... not to mention all the other cosmic crap headed our way soon.... anyone notice that in recent years, our govt has been quite interested in 'dark matter'?... such as dark stars(brown dwarfs), comet clusters and other energetic 'waves' that serve as lines of demarcation between one dimension and the next... .anyone notice all those sinkholes lately as the sun has gone quiet? Add a little lightning to the gaseous releases from said situations and problems start showing up everywhere.... now all the global oligarchs have to do is keep the puppet show going a little longer to serve as a distraction... pull the rug out, create as much chaos as possible for their patrons and then watch the herding process unfold for the grand finale.

War has come to Gaza.

One amusing thing about the current Kerry bashing is summarised in this caption :

"It's simply not the way partners and allies treat each other," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said. Her comments were echoed by the White House, where officials said they were disappointed by Israeli reports that cast Kerry's efforts to negotiate a cease-fire as more favorable to Hamas.

Somebody should remind Potus about this remark in relation to his "yes we scam and spy" justification of tapping Mutti's and everybody else's emails and phones via the NSA.

"Not the way you treat your allies...Mr Potus !"

Funny how the shoe doesn't fit the other way round!
