The Shocking Reason Putin Isn't Worried About The $50 Billion Yukos Ruling

Tyler Durden's picture

Having $50 billion of assets under potential seizure is enough to make anyone whince. However, despite a quickly worded statement on the Yukos award, Vladimir Putin seems less than anxious to find a resolution. We think we know why, and it's very concerning.

As The FT reports confirming our earlier comments:

The award is a landmark not just for its size – 20 times the previous record for an arbitration ruling. The tribunal also found definitively that Russia’s pursuit of Yukos and its independently-minded main shareholder, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, a decade ago was politically motivated.

...

Though Russia cannot appeal against the award, Moscow said it would pursue all legal avenues for trying to get it “set aside”.

Even if the ruling stands, shareholders face a tortuous battle trying to enforce it. If Moscow refuses to pay, they must pursue Russian sovereign commercial assets in the 150 countries that are party to the so-called 1958 New York Convention on enforcing arbitration awards.

But perhaps this explains why Putin is not coming out swinging, as The FT concludes,

One person close to Mr Putin said the Yukos ruling was insignificant in light of the bigger geopolitical stand-off over Ukraine.

“There is a war coming in Europe,” he said. “Do you really think this matters?”

Fuck you, dude, and any anti-Israel people.  The Israeli culture is beautiful.  The whole situation is just sad and confusing for many people.  TPTB gonna rock their fucking missiles, one way or another.  The only useful missile is a shot missile that can be replaced.  It's like an ejaculation. Sure, they're great, but unless you clear the way for the next you get prostate cancer, and no one wants their defense industry to get prostate cancer: so blow the load, replenish, repeat - that goes across the board for all of them.

"War in Europe" doesn't mean NATO directly engaging Russia.

This will never happen because M.A.D still exists, and Russia believes that they could win a nuclear war with the US by striking first.

The bankers aren't foolish enough to risk their own necks, so expect some larger proxy war perhaps, but no direct engagement between the East and West.

Putin doesn't want war. In a conventional war the US and Europe would overwhelm Russia in less than a year. It would be a quick way out of power for him. He's too smart for that. He is going to thrust and parry here and there but never push hard enough for a shooting war with the west.

OFF TOPIC (Skip if not interested):

FYI:

Are you deliberately on a Marginal Bandwidth Telecom Carrier like Cricket because you realize that it’s much easier to see the NSA hacking your phone when you can see that your cell phone gets a limited or non-existent signal?

Do you realize that the NSA has a more difficult job getting information from your phone when you are getting a marginal signal from your carrier because you are competing with the NSA for the bandwidth your cell phone uses?

Do you realize that the NSA deliberately throttles down and marginalizes your cell phone bandwidth in an effort to force you to switch to a Full Bandwith Telecom Carrier like Verizon, or AT&T from a Marginal Bandwidth Telecom Carrier to make their job of collecting information about you easier?

Do you realize you could be targeted by the NSA if they are aware that you deliberately use a Marginal Bandwidth Telecom Carrier to limit their access to your cell phone?

The data on your phone is kinda minimal - they can get emails via the online server - they just need data points/minor league 1's and 0's from the phone, the stuff that changes (it'll get sync'd to the phone company anyway, where there are backdoors, etc.) They can fake the bars. They can fake when the phone is on (screen off/tell-lights off, but still transmit data for let's just say, 1 minute after the phone "looks" completely off.  I think it kinda sorta doesn't matter. The handset picks up the data and whoosh, it lives someplace else simultaneously.  I think the handset performance matters little.

Here's an interesting experiment.  Put a LifeProof case on your iPhone.  Hold it to your ear and make a call.  You'll hear a second ring echoing and vibrating within the case... what does that 2nd ring have to do with anything, you wonder? And why the odd intervals?  It's hard to piece together, but it becomes audible with a LifeProof case.

Warranty: I have no idea what I'm talking about. I am not an expert in any field, at all.

Telephone calls speak volumes about a person.  If there came a time that person was sought by LE, the trail could be discovered by past history.  Relatives, friends, travel spots, locations frequented regularly.  GPS device is another feature.  Texts will be like confessions.  But the targets are not law breakers.  I have not heard of crimes solved, sentences given due to NSA data sweeps.  The information is going to compiled and we are going to be sorted out.  A cull.  And someone needs to put a stop to this immediately before history repeats itself.  We have a responsibility to ourselves are living creatures to avoid great misery and discomfort.  We do this to ensure our existence.  This passiviity around us is quite disturbing.  Media of course is to blame and that is criminal in itself.  Omission of vital information from viewership is akin to treason.  The good guys need to win this battle and rationality returned, at least some semblance of logic.  Advanced as we are, the solutions to our problems are endless and nothing like what we have here today, chaos and destruction, demolition teams plowing down entire families right in front of the camera.  We are a disgrace as a human race at this point in history, everyone but Iceland.

Who the fuck wants war??? Not any sensible, family loving person. Of course, there are those young bucks who have watched too many movies and heard harrowing stories from old drunk uncle's who clamour for their glory. But few sensible people want war.

The problem is that we, sensible people are not running this world. The world is being run by people who've been convinced that they are "Exceptional' every step  of their lives. They have been born into power, educated why theu deserve to rule, and educated how to rule! Normal people are nothing more than street sweepers to them.

If war in Ukraine was to be averted why is the US fanning the flame at every opportunity? Why is US Army Trainers now in Moldova training all sections of their military in war? Why are there Polish troops on the ground in Ukraine today? Why has Joe Biden, his dumbfuck son, Nuland and the CIA Chief John Brennan openly flouting International 'Norms' by being seen on the ground in Kiev helping??

The US PTB want war. If you are concerned as a US citizen DO something about it. I have written letters to my Rep leaders here in Oz. Nothing may come of it, to be sure but, they are at least personally responsible, I am responsible and, you should, and need to be responsible. There has to be accountability and if only 30% of US citizens did this, this coming calamity would more than likely be averted.

It all sounds good, and, historically, living in the US of A, we'd be pretty safe from the field of battle.  Bring it on!

However, it's 2014 and there are more than a dozen countries on earth able to sock us damn hard with a missle or 10. There are also at least a dozen countries that would love to do it.

The one country I worry most about is the one with the nukes that have never admitted it, yes, our dear ally Israel.  They've got to have a few missiles hidden around the world, or control over a few in other nations via remote, that they could send our way and point the blame towards someone, anyone, else.

They will be the death of the U.S. - and people are finally starting to wake up to that fact, albeit very, very, very slowly.  I am 90% sure we will wake up way too late.

If 9/11 can't wake us up, what will?  Yes, World War III, coupled with another depression.

Something is very fucked up when they won't stop killing in the Palestinian lands and telling everyone a) the Palestinians are human shields and b) they need to get rid of the tunnels.  As for a) I saw horrific photos of Palestinian children blindfolded and tied to Israeli armored trucks and handcuffed next to shooting positions of Israeli soldiers.  So, yes, Palestinians are being used as human shields - by the fucking Israelis!  As for b) If the tunnels exit into Israel, why don't the look for them in Israel?  WTF?  Please don't tell me tunnels can only be found by their entrance and not their exit. With all the high tech they've developed, stolen from us and been given from us, they've got to have some  ground-piercing radar able to find the tunnels - from their side of the fucking fence.  Assholes.

No wonder Chutzpah is a Yiddish word.  Those fuckers have truck-loads of it, in addition to truck loads of our munitions, while our politicians have truckloads of their money.  SCUM!

Europeans are being led to their slaughter by inciting them into wrong wars under wrong pretexts with lies and more and more lies.

http://investmentwatchblog.com/new-mh17-sensation-german-experts-point-f...

This is what a German pilot-cum-air technology expert Peter Haisenko has just published on the subject of the MH17 disaster (my emphases):

‘The misfortune of the Malaysian MH 017 is known to all. The flight
recorder is in England and is being evaluated. What can come of this?
May be more than you want to accept….if you look at the image of
Cockpit-Fragments, this picture is certainly shocking.
Entry And Exit holes from bullets in the area of the Cockpit. This is not speculation, but analysis of clear facts: the cockpit
shows clear evidence of bullet holes. You can see the entry holes and
some exit points. The edges of the bullet holes are bent inwards,
these are much smaller and round in shape. A 30mm calibre. The exit
holes are less well formed and the edges are torn outwards.
Furthermore it is visible that the exit holes have torn the double
aluminium skin and bent them outwards. That is to say, splinters from
inside the cockpit blew through the outside of the cabin. The open
rivets have also been bent outwards….There is only one conclusion one can make, and that is that this: the
aircraft was not hit by a missile. The damage to the aircraft is
exclusively in the cockpit area….

Armour-Piercing Ammunition. Russia has published radar data that a
Ukranian SU 25 was close to MH 017. this corresponds with Spanish air
traffic control that two Ukranian fighter aircraft were in direct
contact with MH 017. Examine the weaponry of the SU 25: it is fitted
out with a 30mm cannon Type GSch-302 /AO-17A, with 250 rounds of
splintering exploding bullets on a belt – shrapnel rounds. The cockpit
of MH 017 was hit from TWO sides, as there are entry and exit holes on
the same side….’
Very compelling stuff, is it not?

Now read this (also German) article by defence expert Bernd Biederman, who offers equally sound reasons why the
shooting down could NOT have been from a surface to air missile:

‘ the shooting down of the Malaysian
Boeing on July 17 in the Eastern Ukraine “could not have been hit by a
surface to air defense missile” .

This is the assessment of retired Colonel Bernd Biedermann in an
article for the daily newspaper published in Berlin “new Germany”
(Thursday edition). Had splinters from a surface to air missile hit
the plane, it would have immediately caught fire, argues the NVA
anti-aircraft missile specialist. His reasoning is because of the
“enormous frictional heat that the splinters generate on penetrating
the fuselage. A single splinter contains the same kinetic energy as a
40-ton freight car hitting the buffers at 60 kilometers per hour.” In
the case of the Malaysian Boeing, scattered fires had broken out after
the impact with the ground, because hot debris from the aircraft had
come in contact with combustible materials.

Biedermann is familiar with Soviet and Russian air defense technology,
he led units in the duty officer system in East Germany and taught at
the Military Academy in the field of anti-aircraft missile troops.’

Articles are beginning to appear across the Web to the effect that Angela Merkel is disturbed by (and growing tired of) the incessant US propaganda being emitted in favour of its energy agenda….and so we must perhaps in turn view these articles in the light of her alleged new agenda concerning the creation of an alternative bloc to that of America. (More on this here in the near future).

But spin or not, these analyses make sense. The US State Dept has now shifted its position from ‘Russian atrocity’ to ‘tragic accident’. The above opinions suggest that neither are true: they suggest strongly that the Ukrainian air force took out MH17.

I posted links to the first of those articles in another ZH thread yesterday and they make interesting reading.

One thing that I'm awaiting for with apprehension is whether the sound of scores of 30mm cannon hitting the cockpit fuselage area will be audible on the voice flight data recorder, currently in Farnborough, UK.

If it does, that may explain why there's such a long delay in publishing the contents.

Did a person close to Putin say there was going to be a coming war in Europe, or are the FT and others trying to instigate a war between Russia and Europe?  I wouldn't take anything the FT says at face value.  This may be the real reason Putin isn't worried about the judgement, it's unenforceable.

‘Yukos judgment marks true divorce between Russia and the West’

RT: How will the situation develop? Will Russia pay this sum?

EK: How it is going to develop? Basically this is a judgment which is going to have no real consequences. The Russian state will never pay. The Russian Duma never ratified the treaty under which this judgment has been made. It is not a legally binding judgment. To get settlement from the Russian state is impossible. I would invite you to look at the attempts that have been made to enforce judgments against Argentina, which have failed.

On the Yukos story

3 year old article

http://www.rense.com/general44/ask.htm

Arrested Oil Tycoon Passed
Shares To Banker Rothschild

The Washington Times
11-3-3

LONDON (Agence France-Presse) - Control of Mikhail Khodorkovsky's shares in the Russian oil giant Yukos have passed to renowned banker Jacob Rothschild, under a deal they concluded prior to Mr. Khodorkovsky's arrest, the Sunday Times reported.

Voting rights to the shares passed to Mr. Rothschild, 67, under a "previously unknown arrangement" designed to take effect in the event that Mr. Khodorkovsky could no longer "act as a beneficiary" of the shares, it said.

Mr. Khodorkovsky, 40, whom Russian authorities arrested at gunpoint and jailed pending further investigation last week, was said by the Sunday Times to have made the arrangement with Mr. Rothschild when he realized he was facing arrest.

Mr. Rothschild now controls the voting rights on a stake in Yukos worth almost $13.5 billion, the newspaper said in a dispatch from Moscow.

Mr. Khodorkovsky owns 4 percent of Yukos directly and 22 percent through a trust of which he is the sole beneficiary, according to Russian analysts.

From the figures reported in the Sunday Times, it appeared Mr. Rothschild had received control of all Mr. Khodorkovsky's shares.

The two have known each other for years "through their mutual love of the arts" and their positions as directors of the Open Russia Foundation, Yukos' philanthropic branch, it said.

Russian authorities Thursday froze billions of dollars of shares held by Mr. Khodorkovsky and his top lieutenants in Yukos - throwing control of the country's largest oil company into limbo and causing frenzied selling on financial markets.

Russian prosecutors said owners of the shares are still entitled to dividends and retain voting rights, but can no longer sell their stakes.

They said the freeze was necessary as collateral for the $1 billion that Mr. Khodorkovsky and his associates are accused of misappropriating during the 1990s.

Mr. Rothschild is the British head of Europe's wealthy and influential Rothschild family, and runs his own investment empire.

Russian-Born American Named To head Embattled Yukos

(AFP) -- A Russian-born American has been named to replace Mikhail Khodorkovsky to head Russia's largest oil company, Yukos, the company said in a statement posted on its website.

Simon Kukes, 56, has been nominated to head the board of directors, the statement said.

Kukes, a member of Yukos' board of directors, emigrated from the Soviet Union to the United States in the 1970s but has since returned to Russia. He once worked for Russian oil company TNK.

Kukes will head the board of YukosSibneft, a company that was created when Yukos merged with a smaller rival Sibneft earlier this year.

The merger, due to be finalized at a shareholders' meeting in late November, created the world's fourth largest oil and gas producer.

Kukes worked in the US oil industry in Texas before returning to Russia after the disintegration of the Soviet Union. He once told a reporter he chose to work in Russia because "the work is interesting -- every day there is a new challenge."

Kukes's appointment came a day after Khodorkovsky resigned as Yukos chief executive. Khordokovsky, Russia's richest man, has been jailed on charges of massive fraud and tax evasion while prosecutors continue an investigation into Yukos.

The billionaire businessman obtained control of Yukos, then a collection of oilfields and refineries in Siberia, during the shadowy privatization deals of the 1990s, when people picked up choice Russian assets for bargain-basement prices at questionable auctions.

Over the years, Khordokovsky added assets and invested massively in Yukos. The oil giant was the first Russian major to adopt international accounting standards and hire western managers, in the wake of the country's 1998 financial crash,.

Today, Yukos is considered the best governed and most transparent Russian business giant. It has a market capitalization of just under 30 billion dollars.

The UK and US have used war as a strategic means to assert themselves. Both world wars were attempts by UK to derail emergence of Germany as major power in Central Europe. Ever since FRanco-Prussian War 1870 when Germany emerged British policy has been to side with Republican France and the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha Line seems to have been deeply implicated with George V pushing for war against his cousin in Berlin and destroying his cousin in St Petersburg by refusing him asylum in 1918

Then Lincoln, with his war against the Sovereign Southern States beginning in 1861, created the United States and centralized Federal Power.

That was the destruction of a Voluntary Union of Sovereign States which our Forefathers had envisioned. It made the Union mandatory.

When the Southern Voluntary Confederation of States Military Forces were defeated then that was the birth of THE United States.

It has been degenerated ever since with the encroachment of an oligarchical Federal Government encroaching deeper into our Lives and destroying Liberty as the progress.

The Cecil family were controlled by the powerful Jesuit family known as the Pallavicini.

Maria Camilla Pallavicini is far more powerful than Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen and Prince Philip are totally subordinate to the Papal Bloodline the Breakspear Family and their Jesuit UKHQ at 114 Mount Street.

Please go and study who funded Elizabeth I that astronomical amount of money to fight the Spanish, yes Pallavicini.

The most powerful man right now in the conspiracy over this World is a Roman by the name of PEPE ORSINI of the powerful Roman Papal Bloodline the Orsini also known as Orso and the ancient Maximus family.

There is no one more powerful than this figure who is really the Grey Pope.

The Papal Bloodlines are the secret shadow hieracy of the Jesuit Order even behind the Black Pope touted at the #1.

These powerful bloodlines are the Breakspear, Somaglia, Orsini, Farnese & Aldobrandini.

You’ll notice David Rothschild marrying into the Aldobrandini with the pretty, Princess Olimpia Aldobrandini.

The families of Machir, Gershom and Bertha were to replace the old Merovingian Dynasty-and they took to themselves the Merovingian names and titles. As a result the genealogies became confused and later generations obscured the fact of this powerful Jewish Dynasty in Europe. Later genealogists hid the origin of the mother of Charlemagne with a false genealogy linking her to the Merovingians. They did the same for all the Exilarch family. You must remember that The Carolingians were replacing the Merovingians and they had a need for legitimatizing themselves by appearing to be a continuation of the Merovingian line. Fortunately in many cases they have only thinly disguised the genealogies so that it is possible to reconstruct them.”-Athol Bloomer

For all the shit the US talks about Russia, if they were to try to invade them, they would probably lose.

The majority of US weaponary is superior, but the Russian gear is no slouch; there's not as big a gap here as people think.

Add this with the terrain (never start a land war in Asia) and the fierceness of the Russians themselves and even if the US "won" it would be a pyrrhic victory, because half or more the US armed forces would get wiped out in the process.

Russia is NOT some country in the Middle East the US can push around, and if we recall, those Iraqis weren't exactly  timid.

They kept fighting and fighting and caused the US to lose thousands of troops and many more were maimed.

The Russkies themselves are like the Arabs times one thousand; no one is going to beat them on their own turf.

Hitler found this out the hard way and so will NATO is they ever get so bold as to try and tangle with the Bear directly.

Will to believe is strong among 'americans'. On a financial blog, with traders who keep telling that timing matters so much, will to believe is strong.

Wonder if this is going to get the same success as Jesus coming back during lifetime.

Wonder if this is going to be milked as the incoming economic collapse. Supposed to happen years ago and always postponed. But the belief in it is still vivid.

His speaking out to the whole world that Ukraine is being under external control of the U.S. at first sight looks like a stupid tongue-slip: hardly anyone can on his own will admit that he is governing a colony and supports enemy colonial regime.

Poroshenko used this trick consciously and deliberately. Why? Recognizing that Ukraine is under the full control ofthe United StatesPoroshenko denied and shifted to Obama all responsibility for everything that happens in the country including the shooting down the Malaysian Boeing.

It appears to me that the USA very much intends if neccessary to sacrifice 10s of millions of lives in Europe to save the USD, its economy and global hegemony.

The USA will murder anybody and everybody in order to keep the USD as reserve, it is the only way they can afford the cost of their war machine. They want global hegemony at ANY cost.

They fear not over playing their hand in the Ukraine and accidentally provoking a war that cascades into Europe. They see their mainland remote from dager and the sheep-like public unaffected by bombs and ruin in the streets of the USA that Europe will suffer yet again. So for the USA just like WWI and WW2 it is an arm chair war for the populace, except those sent away to die for defense compay profits.

But I think the strategy for those who end up the enemy of the US in any war will be to most certainly bring it to the US mainland in a big way, so there is political pain at home. Likewise strategic strikes against energy and electricity grids and the like......the US is much vulnerable in the modern tech world, but they will not care, because the bankers will still get rich.

Americans I think generally don't get too excited about the US going into wars, fomentinig wars as their experience is that t causes no harm or heartache at home, so why bother about it.

HOWEVER they better realise very quickly that in the next war the opposition will bring them the same pain to the US that usually is contained to the Europeane theatre.

The thing is, we cannot and nobody can do anything about it, except sit back and watch and hopefully dodge it all.

The US needs Germany on-side, but Germany maybe realise that the US is almost a failed State, held up only by a dying currency, that props up the war machine. They have nothing else to offer Europe in the longer term, whereas China and Russia are the ecomic future.

Tough times ahead for European politicians...the ones not owned by bankers.

You?

Here comes the start of the economic pushback

According to the document, foreign legal entities and individuals registered in the "aggressor country" will be prohibited from providing audit and consultancy services in Russia.

Evgeniy Fedorov cited by Izvestia adds that: “All six major US audit and consulting companies working in Russia – and these are Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey – will be included in the list.”

There will only be a war if the EU is so stupid it wants to implode. But no matter, because Germany certainly does not want it, they want commerce/business. Watch Germany move away from the EU via stealth and then via geopolitical reasoning and then complete it's move east wards. Once this mighty power shifts, France will follow, then Italy etc. Countries left will move to the 3rd world with the good old U.S.of A.

I'm glad to see Khodorkovsky vindicated at some level. I spent a few hours one day trying to figure the attack on him out, and whether he was a "bad guy" or a "good guy." My conclusion was that he was imprisoned for what he tried to do right, and I was not clear on what he had done wrong, but being a cynic, he almost surely had to play ball with the KGB/Political powers in order to survive and thrive so long and gain such wealth in a very corrupt nation.

What he had done "wrong", if I remember rightly, he donated money to a politician who was running against Putin.

So the Powers-that-be went after him to show what happens when you p!ss off Putin and to made everyone else too scared to do the same.

Putin is a dictator.

OK you "two" boneheads, he took money from foreigners (Americans) to buy up state owned industries worth 10s of billions of dollars for a penny on the dollar, made himself one of the richest people in the world while the citizens of Russia were left destitute.  He along with a few other oligarchs who made it rich the same way essentially took over the Russian government (Yeltsin was a drunk puppet).  After Putin took power he tried to take Putin on and continue to control the Russian government.

Some hero.

Yes, I have read that Putin told the oligarchs they could keep their ill-gotten gains,  but they would have to pay taxes like everyone else.

And just like Al Capone, the only thing the Russian government could jail him on was tax evasion.  All other charges failed because so many witnesses were "missing."

European Court of Human Rights twice reviewed Khodorkovsky's case and said he deserved the sentence from his first trial.  ECHR refused to give Mr. K the billions he wanted in damages.

You nailed it.... My Russian In-laws, along with most other average Russians,  applauded Putin for throwing Khodorkovsky in jail for using western financing, mainly through his Jewish family connections, to essentially "steal" Russian oil assets for literally pennies-on-the-dollar in the midst of the Russian people's pain during the 90's.

These western-financed largely Jewish Oligarch "carpetbaggers", like Khodorkovsky, who financially raped and pillaged Russia and its people during the 90's, deserve to be hung from lamp posts in Red Square.  Hell, they even helped, along with their Wallstreet and Fed pals,  to engineer the collapse of the Ruble in 1998 so they could "steal" even more Russian assets for even cheaper prices.  As a result of this evil BS,  my wife's family was wiped out financially by the end of 1998, as were most other average Russians.  If anything, my wife's family think that Putin didn't go far enough with the SOB Oligarchs, protecting some of his own favored ones that capitulated to him.

The whole thing in Russia during the 1990's was eerily similar to what the same cabal of banksters and their henchmen did to the German Weimar Republic during the 1920's.  Just like with Germany during the 30's and 40's, I fear that payback from Russia will be hell for the West, alhtough probably not with tanks and bullets but by collapsing the international dollar-based monetary system.

Sorry for my seemingly blatant anti-Semitic rant, but the truth is what it is.

The Saudi's want to re-consitute the Caliphate under themselves rather than the Ottomans of old.

Russia is the gulf's energy competitor, and one of the main sources of Geopolitical conflict in Ukraine.  If they can get access to the pipelines they can expand their European market.

They would go in for China however.

It is a mistake to think of China-Russia as a single entity.  Each is playing their own game.  Their interests just happen to coincide at the moment.

"The three captors -- Pavel, Ruslan and Dmitry, as I learned later -- were military intelligence officers from the Dnepr battalion, sponsored by Dnipropetrovsk governor and billionaire Igor Kolomoisky. In this war, oligarchs train, equip and fund detachments, which are then under the control of the Ukranian army."

http://mobile.bloomberg.com/ne...

"Kolomyski has used Privat's "quasi-military forces" to enforce hostile takeovers of companies, sending a team of "hired rowdies armed with baseball bats, iron bars, gas and rubber bullet pistols and chainsaws" to forcibly take over a Kremenchuk steel plant in 2006,and has used "a mix of phony court orders (often involving corrupt judges and/or registrars) and strong-arm tactics" to replace directors on the boards of companies he purchases stakes in."

"On 2 March 2014, amidst the 2014 pro-Russian conflict in Ukraine, acting President Oleksandr Turchynov appointed Kolomoyskyi governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast., as well as appointing fellow oligarch Serhiy Taruta governor of Donetsk Oblast. A day later Kolomyski referred to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a "schizophrenic shorty" who was "totally out of touch, completely crazy". During a news conference the next day, Putin claimed that Kolomoyskyi had reneged on a contract with Roman Abramovich, saying “I myself asked Abramovich why he did it later, and he told me he did not think it possible that someone would play him like that.”  Putin said of Kolomoyskyi, "This is just a unique crook" and claimed that "people are not happy" with his appointment as Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The Daily Beast wrote mid-June 2014 that Kolomoyskyi "enjoys strong support from the local population".In April 2014 Kolomoyskyi offered a bounty for the capture of Russian-backed militants and incentives for the turning in of weapons. He also is believed to have spend $10 million to create the Dnipro Battalion."

Serhiy Taruta is a Ukrainian oligarch, founder of Industrial Union of Donbas, According to Forbes magazine, he ranks among the richest people in the world, On 2 March 2014, amidst the 2014 pro-Russian conflict in Ukraine, acting President Oleksandr Turchynov appointed Taruta Governor of Donetsk Oblast.

Oleksandr Valentynovych Turchynov Turchynov is a former acting President of Ukraine from the removal from power of President Viktor Yanukovych on 21 February 2014 until Petro Poroshenko was sworn in as Ukrainian President on 7 June 2014. Turchynov is an old ally of Yulia Tymoshenko. On 4 February 2005, Turchynov was appointed and served as the first ever civilian head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). In February 2006 state prosecutors opened a criminal case against Turchynov and his SBU deputy Andriy Kozhemyakin for destroying a file about FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitive, organized crime boss Semyon Mogilevich, from the SBU archive. The case was dismissed four months later. WikiLeaks documents mention Turchynov, then head of Ukraine's SBU, as having destroyed documents implicating Yulia Tymoshenko's alleged connections to Mogilevich.

Viator, that is very interesting, I see you are welll acquainted with the Ukraine. Yes Mogilevich is sometimes referred to as the boss of bosses and is ruthless. I had not come across information before of baseball bats being used to take over steel plants. That sounds a bit like what took place in Kentucky long ago with the coal miners.

I do recall seeing a piece where Putin around 2006 stated the Ukraine is run by ciminals who are incapable of running an economy. I think he meant Timishenko, Kolomoisky etc.

It is not surprising that he was appointed the governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The area is heavily jewish and contains the largest jewish cultural center in the world and holocaust museum. It is a heavily jewish area. This area is not that far west of the fighting going on in the DPR area. One can certainly see why most likely Russia does not want to incorporate this area into Russia. It is interesting that a criminal of this magnitude can travel freely and back to Switzerland as that is where he is reportedly now. From what I read Russia has issued international warrants for his arrest as a war criminal and yet he is in Switzerland?

https://dublinsmick.wordpress.com/2013/11/13/rothschilds-papal-and-royal...

I think we all know why, Switzerland is the home of the vatican swiss guard. It is all interelated and that is why you will see trolls showing up trying to muddy the waters. It seems page one of the manual is do not shed light on just deeply the vatican is joined with the city of London in this intrigue. Trolling demands also the City of London remain in the background in this discussion as if America acts alone on the international front. Bare in mind that social security numbers for Americans originate in London. America is 18 trillion in debt and is not issuing any orders to anyone.

http://www.in5d.com/40-outrageous-facts-most-people-dont-know.html

Rothschild and the city of London/vatican will most likely not mind America and Europe siuffer the consequences in any forthcoming war. Remember Germany was bombed to the stone age in the last one. Americans could experience some of the same this time around if they are not careful. This is an area of discussion that is a troll magnet as you can see with luckystar (six pointed star) types show up immediately with nothing to add other than (this is bunk)
