There is a German ex-pilot now an aviation expert who believes the physical damage to MH17 strongly resembles - not an AA missile hit but - 30mm cannot fire.
In his article in German (translation necessary for those who don't read German), he includes several photos of cockpit area damage and they clearly show holes which are round, some are entry holes, others are exit holes. He says this could mean that MH17 was attacked by the two SU-25s with cannonfire from both sides.

I want to apologize up-front, because this is going to be one of those "I knew him when..." stories.
I first met John Kerry around 1971 when he was the spokesman for the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. (He appeared at a number of anti-war rallies in D.C., where I was a medical student at the time. He even testified before Congress on the Vietnam War issue, which was shown on TV at the time and used by him many times thereafter in his political campaigns.)
I met him again in 1972 when he ran unsuccessfully for Congress; then again in 1976 when he worked for the District Attorney of Middlesex County, Massachusetts. It was extremely obvious to anyone who spoke with him that his ambitions lay in political office. He could "talk the ears off a wooden Indian", but he never impressed me as being very intelligent. Highly opinionated, he was always very "uptight" and "wooden"; he never seemed comfortable speaking one-on-one in crowds. He gave the impression that his opinions were the "correct" ones and anyone who disagreed with him was either ignorant or stupid.
In 1982 he was elected the lieutenant governor of Massachusetts, with Michael Dukakis elected as the new governor. In those days the candidates for governor and lieutenant governor were NOT linked - they ran separate campaigns. A candidate for governor might get elected, but his so-called "running mate" might get defeated; or vice versa. (The candidates for president and vice president run linked campaigns as a team: if a candidate gets elected president, his runniing-mate for VP automatically assumes the office of VP.) Since I then lived in a heavily Democratic county, Dukakis and Kerry were frequently seen; but Kerry appeared most often in our town and was much easier to speak with.
In 1994 Kerry campaigned for the U.S. Senate seat for Massachusetts and won. Once again, he campaigned all over the state, but especially in Democratic strongholds. I spoke with him several times during that campaign, primarily at fund raisers sponsored by Mass. state legislators. His style back then was to "work the room", going from one person to the next to have conversations. (The times I met Ted Kennedy at campaign fund raisers were very different: Kennedy's campaign style was just the opposite of Kerry's. Kennedy would stand behind a platform or table, give a quick "speech", then quickly disappear completely - I never saw him "work the room" as Kerry did.) Kerry, of course, was re-elected to the U.S. Senate in 1990, 1996, 2002 and 2008, but by then never visited our town during any of those campaigns. TV advertisements seemed to be his primary mode of campaigning by that time - and his re-elections were always viewed as a "given".
Over those years my impression of Kerry was that he was extremely ambitious, but NOT very intelligent. (I most certainly would NEVER have hired him as my attorney, since he did not appear to have intellectual flexibility to explore seemingly contradictory ideas or beliefs! It was "his way" or nothing.) In his early years he took concrete stands on various issues (e.g., Vietnam War); but in later years he seemed to be a "white bread" candidate, always trying not to offend anyone and limiting his comments to "safe" issues appealing to an overwhelming Democratic electorate, which is what Massachusetts always was and still is today.
Anyway, that is the John Kerry I knew. That he has screwed up so badly as Secretary of State whould come as NO surprise to those who know him: he is simply NOT intellectually flexible for the job.

As Prof Sutton has mentioned in decades past, these groups work for the oligarchs that work both sides of the equations to generate profits and control for the club. Politicians are bought on the cheap with a little action on WallStreet, thus ensuring that they have an incentive to keep their masters happy and 'in the green'... thus Fed policies, media policies, 3rd party politics legislation to prevent competition, etc.
Another point is that these political puppets are just doing what is required of them, same for those on WallStreet. They aren't independent operators.
