I think ISIS are there purely for show, someone else must do the fighting, after all any army with only minimal training would fancy their chances at taking out a 4x4 pickup with an old 1960s double barrel AK-AK in the back with a dumb ass raghead sat behind it that couldn't hit a barn door at 20 paces, after all it was NATO that did the spade work from the air in Libya.
It is hard to fight when you are outgunned from the start and run out of ammo. ISIS has plenty of everything they need and the Peshmerga have not gotten anything from us since 2003. Go figure.

Well, from what I can tell, some of their "best & brightest" thought it would be a great idea to arm "syrian rebels" who were fighting Assad in Syria because he is butchering madman and the son of a butchering madman.
What these brainiacs didn't understand is the people fighting him (not all, but some) are in fact as bad or worse than Assad.
So the idea was, to ship the arms collected from around the battlefield in Libya (because Jihadists always leave stingers & manpads laying around, preferring an AK...lol) and truck em over to Benghazi (along with the Qataris) and load them onto Turkish flagged ships to be given to these freedumb fighters in Syria because Assad = bad so therefore freedumb fighters must = good.
What they didn't understand (and still don't) is desert sands always shift, just like the allegiances of the people who live there. And Assad is more than happy for "his enemies" to be ground into dust somewhere else. We don't hear much out of Syria anymore do we?
