2 reporters arrested...

Don't say we didn't warn you...

while we already documented America's conversation to a turnkey totalitarian banana republic (confirmed over a year later by Edward Snowden), behold America's conversion to a police state:

*  *  *

Despite Police best efforts to force Ferguson residents off the streets, tensions reignited once again as night fell last night and, as The Guardian reports, a second man has been shot by police. Police officials told local reporters that the man was shot in Ferguson by a St Louis County officer after pointing a handgun at him soon after 1am on Wednesday. A crowd of around 250 young protesters were halted by police and separately a woman is being treated in hospital after being shot in the head during a drive-by shooting in the troubled city. Protesters exclaimed, "we have a right to assemble, a right to freedom," said Paul Muhammad. "But here we are facing what looks like a military imposing martial law. It is not acceptable." Interestingly, President Obama's official response "urging reflection" has been rejected as insultingly inadequate by many African American residents of Ferguson.

As The Guardian reports, a second man has been shot by police in Ferguson...

Police officials told local reporters that the man was shot in Ferguson by a St Louis County officer after pointing a handgun at him soon after 1am on Wednesday, following fresh demonstrations over the death on Saturday of Michael Brown.

The officer was responding to reports of shots being fired and men wearing ski masks carrying shotguns. The man was in critical condition in hospital, a police spokesman told the St Louis Post-Dispatch, Fox 2 and KMOV, and his gun was recovered at the scene.

But chaos reigns in the city it would appear...

A woman was separately being treated in hospital after being shot in the head during a drive-by shooting in the city. The incidents followed the peaceful end earlier to a tense standoff between protesters and police, prompting hopes of avoiding a third night of violence.

A raucous convoy of about 250 young demonstrators, marching along a main route into downtown Ferguson, was halted about 30 yards from a wall of police assembled at the entrance to the street where Brown was killed by a still-unidentified officer on Saturday.

As SWATified Police tried to keep control...

Officers in military-style uniforms, some carrying high-powered rifles and wearing balaclavas, formed a line at least two men deep and blocking the entire width of Florrisant Street, the main drag where angry protests over Brown's killing had flared for the previous two nights.

Pitched behind two large armoured trucks, they repeatedly warned the demonstrators through a Tannoy system to "get out of the road or face arrest" – the same warning delivered on Monday night before officers fired teargas, rubber bullets and wooden baton rounds into the crowds.

But for 40 minutes, the protesters defied the threat. Some hung out of car windows, while others raised their arms aloft and repeated what has become their defining slogan: "Hands up, don't shoot." A police helicopter swooped around the dark sky above, shining a bright spotlight on the faces of the almost entirely African American crowd.

...

As the police declined to follow through with arrests, furious members of the crowd screamed obscenities at officers and urged them to "shoot those rubber bullets". But after 40 minutes in which it seemed that a repeat of Monday night's clashes would happen at any moment, the protesters abruptly melted away.

"We have a right to assemble, a right to freedom," said Paul Muhammad. "But here we are facing what looks like a military imposing martial law. It is not acceptable."

President Obama is not making any friends...

In a statement on Tuesday, Barack Obama described Brown's death as "heartbreaking". Noting the FBI investigation, the president appealed for calm. "I know the events of the past few days have prompted strong passions, but as details unfold, I urge everyone in Ferguson, Missouri, and across the country to remember this young man through reflection and understanding. We should comfort each other and talk with one another in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds."

The official response to Brown's death has been rejected as insultingly inadequate by many African American residents of Ferguson, a city of about 21,000 people where 67% of the population is black, yet 94% of the police force – and prominent figures in local government, such as the mayor – are white.

Government needs you to pay taxes's picture

This is a compound problem.  Yes, the chimpout is unlawful.  However, the thugcops are with increasing frequency abusing citizens, not just lawbreaking citizens.  Contributing to the 'fire at will' cops is a government that is irrevokably corrupt.  You can't have a President and head of the 'Just-Us' Dept brazenly breaking laws without sending the signal that breaking the law is selectively condoned at the highest levels of government.  We no longer have a functioning system of justice.  There is still time to prepare.  Harden your hideout, stock up, and begin weapons and movement training.

That's the real problem that the chimpout successfully camoflauged.

I hope so, we need something in this country to cause the sheep to stir in their sleep, if not wake up outright. I'm sure this will probably blow over and the status quo will march on as always though, same as it ever was.

I agree conceptually, but it will not work the way you think it will.   These are brain stem level people who are incapable of critical thinking.   The school indocrtination and gov;t dependency took that away from them years ago.   No, what will happen is the black bigots like Jesse, and Al, and the American Fuhrer will blame this on the Tea Party, and they'll listen and believe.   They're mindless violent automatons.

Exactly, which means this is coming one way or another, we might as well get the show on the road. The country is already deeply divided and fragmented just below the surface, we need something big to break it up so we can move on with what's next. Think civil war and a break up of the states, not revolution.

Government needs you to pay taxes's picture

Government (only) needs you to pay taxes.  If a group of Americans decided they were going to declare independence and rededicate themselves to Constitutional law, the Fedcoats would be existentially threatened.  Why?  Because their unlawful tyranny and fun little welfare state depends on those of us who pay taxes.  The Fedcoats know this, and therefore would kill as many as necessary to keep their fraud of a balance sheet (not to mention marxist dream) from crumbling.  I'd like to think Marxists could go their way and peacefully allow those who wished to live under a Constitution to go theirs.  No way, for the same reasons a tapeworm does not simply say 'I've taken enough of your blood'.

While the city has 20,000 inhabitants, there is a NGO for each of them paid $ 1,000 of terrorist countries.

Right, imagine coming from a war zone, or simply a place where a lean-to is considered OK. No english, no money. And you're right Loki, they thrive. When you're poor in America you've still likely got this:

The following are facts about persons defined as "poor" by the Census Bureau, taken from various government reports:

  • Fortysix percent of all poor households actually own their own homes. The average home owned by persons classified as poor by the Census Bureau is a threebedroom house with oneandahalf baths, a garage, and a porch or patio.
  • Seventysix percent of poor households have air conditioning. By contrast, 30 years ago, only 36 percent of the entire U.S. population enjoyed air conditioning.
  • Only 6 percent of poor households are overcrowded. More than twothirds have more than two rooms per person.
  • The average poor American has more living space than the average individual living in Paris, London, Vienna, Athens, and other cities throughout Europe. (These comparisons are to the average citizens in foreign countries, not to those classified as poor.)
  • Nearly threequarters of poor households own a car; 30 percent own two or more cars.
  • Ninetyseven percent of poor households have a color television; over half own two or more color televisions.
  • Seventyeight percent have a VCR or DVD player; 62 percent have cable or satellite TV reception.
  • Seventythree percent own microwave ovens, more than half have a stereo, and a third have an automatic dishwasher.

Why are you hatin on the poor folks? They just want moar, like everyone else, and know where to go to get it...lock your doors and hide what little you own from the government.

While many here see this as an excuse for the police to go military excessive force, I think it equally possible that the powers that be may be using this as a tool to discredit the police, enabling even more poverty outreach, even more income redistribution, even more "rights" to be bestowed upon the "weak and oppressed". Or even more likely it is for both. Our government does absolutely nothing that does not derive them more power. Its just that simple. We have always heard that to discover the root of a problem you must follow the money. Well I would suggest going a step further and say that you follow the money to the actual POWER it provides. As we all know, money is not real, it is a device, a tool, and power is what it is all for.

Yes, we may all (minus that 1% nomenklatura) end up being very equal with a lot of nothing. Some have posited this as a demo of what could happen when the FSA's EBT cards stop working. But the real riot will be when the police's paychecks stop happening. Wow, those will be some fireworks then.

The critical thinking anarchist would've looked at the situation of the cops being all tied up in this bad neighborhood and thought: I wonder who's guarding the chief of police's house/family? Or published the names & addresses of the all the cops. Wonder how gung ho the cops would be when their possessions are known? That being said, the store owners in this area had no responsibility for what happened, yet they are the ones who suffer. Later, when those stores stop existing, people will complain about a lack of services and "food deserts".

Sure they are they get SBA loans which have been virtually unobtainable for Whites since the 1980s. Ever see the list of those eligible for minority owned businesses getting contracts from the Feds? Yeah every non-white is on the list

So you can talk about these WONDERFUL legal immigrants but just remember WE WHITES have SUBSIDIZED their success at the EXPENSE of our own kind.

And let me tell you THOSE ethnic and racial groups HELP each other out, unlike Whites who, like those Christian missionaries in Africa, help ONLY those of the other races. Whites will face the HORROR of the future of being a minority in the country their ancestors made great with a HOSTILE government draining their pockets to GIVE to the wonderful immigrants you favor.

the narrative of the immigrant is true now just for the obivious reason that immigrants work harder, accept being poor more readily, and save more money.

but the real story is that immigrants know that if things go to shit, they are only the second level up in the hierarchy of american scapegoating above blacks.

if things really go to hell in america , or in any country---the ordinary untouchables class ( this is what they call them in india) ---that is already poor and normalized as the go-to target for scapgoating [ in the case of hte u.s. it is blacks]-=---the immigrants know they are the next ones on the chopping block if things get really crazy and screwed and thus are generally lacking in sympathy for their fellow americans, and also hypercompetitive and scared to go broke.

one other way of phrasing this is that they are more appreciative of their opporutnity to live and work in the u.s. , a country not being bombed, and thus---you can say they are very patriotic! hahah!

average immigrant borrows less money for credit card consumption.......

Also note that photos published in local and national news reports show him wearing Blood colors, flashing gang signs, and representing his set. "Big Mike" was no respectable citizen. He was a member of a violent criminal gang. Blood in, blood out, and civilization just gave Big Mike his bleed out. Good riddance. I'm not shedding any tears for another dead gangbanger.

Furthermore, the officer was treated for injuries to his face and head, consistent with an assault, and also consistent with eyewitness reports appearing in early local news reports saying the two pushed the officer into his car and Brown continuing the assault inside. As the investigation unfolds, and facts released, these juvenile "G'd up, Fuck tha Poleece" posters on Zero Hedge are going to have to face the fact they got played (again) by Professional Black Agitators and the Marxist Scam Media. You'd think they'd have learned something after the Saint Trayvon Propagandorium.

I know the USSA has a huge problem with its militarized police departments, but praising gangbangers and looters is just plain stupid. If the militarized police are your enemy, then the weaponized underclass is not your friend.

Correct, and being a politician should not be an occupation.  The real responsibiity of a leader is to train those around him/her to be able to function without him, and that doesn't get many re-election votes.  Even in the military the shitheads think that policy is a tactic.  Wrong BitcheZ!  Take your talk all the way to the extreme, and then all you pencil pushers will see that the real world doesn't care, not one bit.  If the lights went out today, could YOU get home?

People keep talking about race, because that's how these politicians colonized America going back to the 19th century here!! Once they started rolling back the freedoms and liberty the original revolutionaries provided for us, the distraction or justification for it was always "this is to protect you from the ___________" fill in the blank race or group of people!

It's still going on today, 911 was just the grandest and most arrogant example of it to date, but it's been the Chinese, Blacks, Irish, Germans, Japanese, Mexicans, Arabs, and now the "terrorists" who literally can be anyone, anywhere, of any racial or cultural background!!

The enemy of the great American experiment, has always been any person or group of people, politicians, corporations, or Instituations, that want to take personal, individual freedoms, liberties, self reliance, entrepreneurial free enterprise away, and replace it will political control, taxes, socialist entitlements, debt, fiat reserve banking principles of wealth destruction, and militarization of our society, regardless of what color, creed, or cultural makeup they represent while doing it!

You are indeed absolutely correct.  This is the best comment I've read in this thread so far.  Racism in it's current form really didn't exist when the first colonies were being set up in the new USA.  There was no stigma for black people.  There were many indentured servants, white, brown and black.  Then the slave trade started and it all went to hell.

Systems should be designed so no one person has concentrated power over anyone else.  The human condition always devolves to the perverse when given concentrated power.  Hell, Tolkien wrote 4+ books on the very subject.

Nature will find a new equilibrium.  Power will recede to the individual.  It's just a matter of when and how nasty those in power will make the process on the way.  Some idiots say you can't fight the fed.  I say you can't fight nature.

I'll make a prediction... it may not happen this year but, it will happen....

And those that support the way the cops are reacting better think twice... it's not happening in your neighborhood yet but, that doesn't mean that it wont.

So, the reaction from the police will be to crack down further on our legal rights ( till there are none )... the reaction will be to actually begin to target police.... which will bring even more clamping down .... then you just need a spark to be in open revolt on a very large scale...

It will happen... I won't time it but, it will happen.

You'd be shocked at the number of so called preppers on YouTTTube that are living in a trailer, getting a subsidy to subsidize the fact that they don't work.

Mention the desire to remove those subsidies and they will literally threaten to kill you. Make no mistake, Americans are willing to kill to keep their government check - and many of them aren't in the ghetto.

You would be right... many of them live in the country.... I live in the country and I already have to watch my place pretty closely.  At least out here, they're fewer of them.

I volunteer at the fire dept.... My friend Tony got his bike stolen a month ago from under his carport... My friend Robert had his house broken in to 2 mos ago...  My friend Chad caught some folks on his front porch re-arranging the furniture so they could go in through the window......

I'm lucky... I live in Texas and you can defend your property at night with deadly force....   I have fences and gates and motion senser lights and sleep with an AR very close...  I even put up signs sayding that they will be shot if they're caught...

So far, I've been lucky and haven't had to shoot anyone but, In my county, there are only 5 cars that patrol the entire county at any one time so, I expect to have to police my own place.

Hopefully, the meth heads will understand they will be shot if they're caught in my barn or shop... if they are, they've had to jump the fence and go around locked gates....  then pass the signs letting them know what they're in store for.

You've spotted the real, underlying problem of America - the death threats. Everybody, here, is absolutely sure he can solve every problem with violence, kill, murder, maim, threaten, terrorize. And that goes as much for the governement, that's always on the lookout for who to bomb next, as for the Average Joe, Black or White, Latino or WASP, for the men-hating raving mad feminists you have here as well as for the gun-owner who is only dreaming of the day he'll fire his gun at someone. It's a culture of hate, fear and scorn.

Too much Hollywood, too many video war games, too much violent porn did that. It works. A movie, a video game work just as well as any Coca-Cola commercial, and anyone with a TV - that's a lot of people - get massive doses of that. You imitate what you see on a screen on a daily basis. I's not a matter of poverty, or who is on food stamps, it's a matter of imitation. And it's everywhere, for the rich and poor alike.

Saying that seeing something makes you like it seems to be a liberal idea and, I don't endorce it at all...  If your morals are so easily manipulated then it's not what you're seeing but more of a moral compass issue to me.

Tell me this then... by going to an emergency call and seeing a woman on the floor with brain matter coming from her ears after her husband beat her to a pulp make me somehow want to go home and immitate it???

I have firearms and, I will protect my property and family with them.... that doesn't make we want to ever have to.

I've seen too many accidents and on purpose events to ever want that for anyone.... but, I can only make decisions for me and my family... I can't control those that would want to hurt us or destroy our lives..... but, I can control how I react to it.

Since legitimized discrimination was struck down under trhe civil right amendment in 1965, this country has seen many new ethnic groups move here:Hispanic, Chinese, Indians, Muslims, Koreans, Southeast Asian and all of them prosper, while Black Americans continue to fall behind. Countries rich in natural resources like Africa or beautiful and hugely attractive to the tourist trade, like Haiti, remain cesspools of corruption, poverty, violence and disfunction. Condition A: If reality is better than expectations then they are happy.

Condition B: If reality is worse than expectations then they are unhappy.

People in the US expect that they have a chance at the American Dream.

The reality is that people on welfare have absolutely no hope at the American Dream because the people who give them free stuff want them weak and dependent... and make sure that they can never crawl out of the hole. It is diabolical ... and people think that the government is actually trying to help them by giving them welfare and other free stuff.

i had a discussion with a ukranian guy who came here in the years after the soviet collapse, mid 30's a post-doc researcher in biology. i met him in a university coffee shop and had a discussion about russia and ukraine. and i was trying to convey to him while i don't think either russia and america are the good guys, that ukraine is essentially being plundered heavily from the american side because america's government has gone down the path of heavy central planning, and has sort of mimiced the soviet model to an extent , except that it's a corporatized version of centrally planned government .

he was very angry when i said this and insisted repeatedly that the u.s. govenrment was not centrally planned or meaningfully communist because the government didn't own absolutely everything like the russian govenrment. he felt i was making light of the trials and tribulations of how badly ukraine was having it under communist russia. and was offended when i replied that communism is not black and white and matter of degree and that 1 out of 5 workers in the u.s. directly works for governent and another 2 out of 5 in the private sector are dependent on government contracts, such as in the military sector, and thus this is why we see the u.s. , like the soviet union, beginning to drown in its own military spending , increasingly misallocating resources because of the ratchet of continuous re-allocation demanded by the military industrial beauracracy.

he was so angry at me, that he just stopped the discussion and said i was simply wrong and pulling stuff out of thin air and had zero clue what i was talking about.

it was an eye-opening experience and i realized i had really pushed his buttons not only because he was scared and perhaps a bit uninterested in modern politics, but because he and his family truly had no choice but to be refugees from such a fucked up situation and that my 'criticism' were seen by him truly as insults to his suffering.

after starting to feel bad about what i said, and my stubborn intellectual insistence about my position. it dawned on me that perhaps america will one day get that bad that people suffer so badly in mass that it fucks their entire families up so much that they have to leave to live somewhere else in mass, OR WORSE. and that only then could most people be fully accepting of the fact that what might be happening now in the u.s. is not only an ummitigated disaster on an organizational level, but also an ethically repulsive downward slide of looting from the top down, where those who who reach high levels engage in the looting mercilessly and if they refuse to loot , are simply replaced by those more hungry and less ethical than them, seeing themselves this as a last opportunity to take what they can off the shelving of the american body politic grocery before the treasury implodes and hyperstagflationary type pressures set in and make a jungle out of the bottom 90%.

teslaberry, there was a different takeaway lesson from him which you perhaps choose to left out. communism, in the form this guy experienced, it the very bottom of all systems, worse than anything else, including rapacious imperialistic mine-stripping and plundering of the capitalistic kind

the most basic freedom after the one of owning your body is the one to... vote with your feet. to leave. the one serfs don't have per definition. what this guy experienced was very near slavery itself. for the near-slave, serfdom is an improvement. for the serf, a rapacious capitalistic environment where he has something out of his work... is an improvement

I'm not trying to make any point on the issues described in the article, I have no serious knowledge about the situation in Ferguson. I'm just trying to explain what I think is the perspective of this Ukrainian biology researcher, from other experiences I had with people fleeing from communism

RE: Assfire.

What a sad, unreflected and misguided comment.

To start: USA is de facto not a capitalist society – maybe de jure. It’s a cleptocratic oligarchy. The state is by any standard a fascist state (=run for and by the corporations).

Ad 1: the real subsidies (of any magnitude) is directed at the elite (the banks, corporations and in general the ‘FIRE’-sector of the economy). The peanuts thrown at people with real needs is – at most – offending. Secondly most subsidies in US directed at the poor is indirectly at the same time a subsidy for big business (think food stamps)

Ad 2: Victims you are (all Americans). Victims of a corrupt, dangerous and illegitimate economic system. Victims of a Ponzi scheme of magnitudes never seen before in history. Victims of surveillance. Victims of propaganda/psyops. Victims of false flags terrorism. Victims of wars. But to protest is not to be a victim – that’s the opposite. You step in to the scene of history as an acting subject (=not as a passive victim). I salute revolts! Hope more is coming!

Ad 3: What a joke – are you serious? Don’t you know who runs the government? Who controls the two (sides of the same) parties? Don’t you know that the ‘government’ have for a long time been subdued by the FED and its owners?

Ad 4: See ad 3 and the start of this comment.

Ad 5: What ‘things’? USA is a junk economy delivering junk to its people. There’s absolutely nothing to envy (unless you have an unnatural craving for junk food, junk television/’news’ (aka propaganda), expensive and bad healthcare, schools that indoctrinate your kids to believe in junk politics, expensive and indoctrinating colleges and universities, permanent war etc. etc.).

Ad 6: What countries? I live in Denmark and we don’t dream (fear/loathe is a better word here) of anything in US. You living standards are poor, your ‘health’system (Ponzi scheme #1019201) sucks, your real income (median) is ridiculous, your rights as an ordinary citizens is at best compared to Soviet Union…

I could go on, but lack the time…

PS. The many up-votes must be at testimony to NSA’s new capabilities to manipulate social sites (or the – to many – blind right-wingers on this site).

There is a huge difference between a white cop shooting a black teenager, and a white, er, "white Hispanic" citizen shooting a black teenager.

Once you think about it for a second, you will understand why Obama isn't going the Trayvon route this time.

No it won't end as long as Rothscbhild can finance any type social experiment he desires with fiat money. If he wishes he could move St. Louis to Miami Beach and set them up in brand new HUD two story houses. It is his call. Everyone else could pay the prices in inflation and so would the rest of the world who uses the dollar as the reserve currency.

The problem is people just aren't doing it right.

What you need to do is click your heels together

three times whilst saying "hope and change", then

the rainbows and unicorns appear.

All you need to do then is get on a unicorn,

ride it to the end of a rainbow and a leprechaun

will be waiting for you with your very own pot of

gold.

OK, I clicked my heels together three times. I did see the unicorns and rainbows and leprechauns, but I didn't find no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Either that leprechaun had one tragic boating accident or he sold it all to the Red Chinese.

Obama jumped the shark with his initial response on the Trayvon incident. Showed absolute inexperience in doing so. Now, he is somewhat hog-tied as to what he can say/do regarding Ferguson. Does he say too little, and reap such accusations as this? Or, does he go full Trayvon all over again and get slaughtered with elections coming up?

Left himself in a bad position.

Based on these two instances, imagine how the chess game with Vlad is going?

I'm not fucked, I'm preparing.

Guns, gold, grub, ground, and guillotine.

The American  people really need to realize that a choice is coming whether they like it or not: They can wither away in poverty and misery with everyday a fight to just survive or fight to take back the county, the American country, from these treasonous criminals and murderers.

The choice is coming: Persecution or Revolution.

The Four Rs
Rejection: Quit paying, quit obeying, quit playing
Revolution: It is inevitable, so prepare, as they are.
Retribution: Is there really any place for these sociopaths and criminals in a restored civil and Constitutional society?!
Restoration: Restore the Constitutional republic.

Zimmerman wasn't a cop but rather an armed 'civilian'. When 'civilians' get uppity and feel the need to protect themselves and/or community with firearms that's a bigggggggg no no. You go full retard to demonize the 2nd.

But when the jack boot thugs of the New World Order carry out their civic duty and execute the enemies of the state (American tax-payers), you can't successfully propagized, politicize  and demonize. 'You just reflect'

Is there any reason a group of people who have lived in this country for hundreds of years would have their own self identified culture except as a rejection of American culture in general? How can you have a cohesive and functional society when the elements within or at least one of them, rejects all the rest? We are a nation of immigrants who until lately, came here to be Americans. Now our country has been dissolved from without and within by the promotion of individual cultures within a single framework. If their is no border and no culture, there is no country. Evidently that is what many want, but I'm not sure they have thought it through. Its not like we still won't have oppressive leadership, only more as a divided population is the exact formula they need to sustain tyranny.

‘A nation of immigrants’ – does imported slave labor fit the definition of an immigrant? Doesn’t there need to be some kind of conscious immigration taking place in order to be seen (and to feel) like an immigrant? The slaves did develop a culture (quite remarkable by the way – taking their conditions into account) of their own. The world got blues and jazz this way. This culture has – for good and bad – made its marks on contemporary black culture. The Black Panthers is an example of how this slave counter culture has influences modern history. And the Black Panthers were not victims, passive and dependent – they were strong, active, well organized and helped build up real communities that could take care of its people. They were quickly killed, destroyed, imprisoned etc…

A strong community/state/society will include many cultures and subcultures – it’s the weak nations that needs to kill of/normalize/throw out cultures…
