After more than a week of violent confrontations, tensions continues in Ferguson (following the death of Mike Brown - shot at least 6 times, twice in the head). The second night of quasi-martial-law in the Missouri town has once again erupted into riots (the third night in a row) as militarized police response just hours ahead of the midnight curfew. Protesters have looted stores and restaurants (including a McDonalds) and the once again heavily-armed police forces have responded in force with tear-gas and rubber bullets (to which protesters are responding with Molotov cocktails and returning gas canisters). This shows no signs of de-escalation at all as crowds chant "who polices the cops?" CNN reports at least one protester hit by rubber bullets and multiple injuries. Multiple gun shots heard - police: "leave or be arrested."
The police tactical response was triggered, according to a Lieutenant with St Louis city PD, by an attack on the command post with Molotov cocktails...

As The NY Times reports, the autopsy is quite damning...
Michael Brown, the unarmed black teenager who was killed by a police officer, sparking protests around the nation, was shot at least six times, including twice in the head, a preliminary private autopsy performed on Sunday found.
One of the bullets entered the top of Mr. Brown’s skull, suggesting his head was bent forward when it struck him and caused a fatal injury, according to Dr. Michael M. Baden, the former chief medical examiner for the City of New York, who flew to Missouri on Sunday at the family’s request to conduct the separate autopsy. It was likely the last of bullets to hit him, he said.
Mr. Brown, 18, was also shot four times in the right arm, he said, adding that all the bullets were fired into his front.
The bullets did not appear to have been shot from very close range because no gunpowder was present on his body. However, that determination could change if it turns out that there is gunshot residue on Mr. Brown’s clothing, to which Dr. Baden did not have access.

I live on Md's eastern shore. There is a major highway, Rt 50, that is a vital west-east artery, as well as the Rt 90 % of Balto and Wash residents use to go to the beach. From the bay bridge and for 10 miles past, it's a fucking cop free for all. Md Toll Facility cops( toll trolls), Queen Anne county sheriff, Md State Police, Heavy Truck Police.
They are like sharks on a feeding frenzy. They are everywhere . And this is a low to no crime area. We're rural, we will shoot you ass ourselves if you fuck around, no police assistance required. It's about the money. And we are getting mighty sick of it.
It's not equal to what's going on elsewhere, just symptomatic of the police state.
I grew up part of the time in the Stevensville area there. Never saw a cop back then. Can't imagine they need many now either. Just fishermen and Washingtonians and Baltimorons in lime green Polo shirts who like to eat too many crabs and get out of the megalopolis for the weekend.

History has shown over and over rioting and looting do nothing to aid in the cause of furthering society. It only serves to burn down the very places that the populace once relied on to provide a good or service. I am not on the side of the Authority but I never side with stupidity and ill thought out actions that at best would be a pyrrhic victory for the citizens. Nothing is going to bring the kid back. Mayhem invites more killing.
It's time to start using some intellectual methods. Not because the jerk off politicians want you to but because its the only way to move forward and get resolution and justice. Unless you just want to hunt the officer down and hang him in the public square, not out of a sense of justice but pure revenge I do not see the point in continuing this course of action.

Something else to consider. It might be true that the cop had no idea that Brown was the suspect, but BROWN probably assumed the cop was stopping him in regards to the shoplifting/robbery, if that was indeed him on camera. I think that would affect his interaction with the cop.

So what would happen to a segment of any given population if you told them through culture, surrogates, specifically targeted media etc. year after year, generation after generation that they cannot prosper due to another segment of population?
It is true that systemic racism of the past prevented many or most from prospering. Society has changed. Many of the barriers have now been removed and many prospered. But a minority within the minority haven't prospered. Why? Kareem and others would obviously point to systemic racism but usually can't say the specific reason. The specific mechanism of systemic racism that is. Claiming system racism is very broad. They mostly point to statistics as the proof. And they do show disparities across the board but it's assumed that it's the system without really showing the mechanism. After all, we have affirmative action and a whole slew of programs designed to tilt the board in their favor.
I believe there is a mechanism at work here, it's just not what they think. Generational welfare, disgusting race hustlers, political opportunists and abortion among others.
But the message from the "system" to specifically targeted, generational welfare recipients living in poverty is simple: you cannot be prosperous in life without the "system" and it's all someone else fault. The message is delivered through popular music, media, entertainment culture wide and reinforced year after year. So welfare and affirmative action are ultra racist. It delivers the message subtly that blacks are inferior. Some break free of this invisible bond or mental slavery and rise, others do not. This is an explanation of the statistics often pointed to. A similar result occurs even in generational white welfare recipients. They are more likely to commit crime, suffer mental illness and die young.

OK. Mr Brown was shot six times. Here's another by way of comparison...
Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes was shot eight times at close range - seven in the head and one in the neck - by a London police firearms officer, while he was sitting on the underground minding his own business on his way to work. It took the CPS (Criminal Prosecution Service) a full 12 months to quietly announce on a Friday afternoon before a public holiday that the police officer would not be prosecuted. MSM then dropped the story. End of. The Met Police officer in charge of that operation was promoted soon afterwards.
Although that incident was widely publicised by MSM because it was carried out under the govt's/Met Police "anti-terror" policy (always a good storyline for MSM to ratchet up "fear" among the muppet class), there are numerous other examples in the UK of unarmed people being shot/killed by gung-ho armed police officers. No police officer ever gets prosecuted.
The militarisation of the police and increasing use of "shoot first, ask questions later" and "shoot to kill" is becoming the norm. What's happening in Ferguson/MO and elsewhere in the US is on a bigger scale to what's happening in the UK.

Watch a lot of movies? People seem to have this misconception that you shoot someone once and they just fall down dead immediately, or are completely incapacitated immediately. Truth is they often don't even feel it. They could be dying but unaware they were even hit.
Another misconception is the ability to aim at all when your body is dumping adrenalin. Hence all the near misses. You're lucky (or trained) if you can even pull the trigger reliably.

.45 will make you bleed out faster than smaller rounds of any velocity, and will break a bone in its path rather than ricochet or fragment.

2) Brown has stolen something (which was "unrelated"
3) some are looting
4) as I understand kind of martial law has taken place.
But everything else is unchartered. So we stil do now know why the shooting has took place. And it's seems to be clear that quite some are fighting the police. Be ist for right or wrong. It raises a few questions. How comes that this does not calm down? Isn't fighing one citizen against others civil war?

If that was Michael Brown in the video robbing that store, and if he left the store and was walking in the street a minute or two after the robbery, then his witness arrived, and if the policeman hadn't yet received the alert about the robbery (remember, he told Brown to get on the sidewalk, NOT hands up I'm arresting you for robbery)... what then?
exactly. the robbery BS is irrelevant to the killing. the cop is acknoweledged to have not known about the robbery. obfuscation. again this is basic uncontrolled power used against people, regardless of race. Priveledged class inevitably uses this power to maintain priveldge.
The officer did not know about the robbery, but Michael Brown would assume that the cop was stopping him for the strong arm robbery and Michael would act accordingly.
This is only foreplay. The autopsy destroys what most of the (biased) witnesses said so their accounts will be tossed out. That means the officer will be acquitted. How much of Ferguson will be left standing when that news comes out several months from now?
