With the curfew cancelled, the arrival of The National Guard has brought with it new 'rules' as standing become loitering and peaceful protests must keep moving. Several arrests have already been made including 'white' Getty Images photographer Scott Olson. St.Louis native and famous rapper Nelly is on the scene suggesting the people have 'options'. Several protesters have been spotted carrying posters with the words "Negro Spring" on them and this term is beginning to gain traction on social media. As darkness falls (and with no curfew-induced deadline), we suspect the presence of the military will do nothing to resolve roiling tensions as the numbers of protesters is rising rapidly. Perhaps John Oliver said it best - "let's totally demilitarize the police; and if and only if they can get through a month without killing a young black man can get their toys back."

I want to be one of the first to go on record to predict Capt. Ron Johnson will soon be on his way to meet with President Obama. This will allow the President to make a forceful statement flanked by Johnson and community leaders as to how tragic this all is and chalk it up to racism pure and simple. Many Americans who have been the target of a swat team raid, myself included, will point to a larger factor and one that the President has been complacent in and even encouraged to develop and that is the continued militarizing of Americas police forces.
This has continued during the six years Obama has been in office. Police have moved from the mission of "to serve and protect" to waging a war against enemies like terrorism, drugs, alcohol, and crime. Sadly, the American people have been caught in the crossfire. 2. Yes, several genuine investigations, plus the federal investigation, are underway.
3. None that can be considered reliable at this point.

The "victim" was a belligerent thug, likely with the stolen goods, when the officer asked them to get out of the street, and possibly "on" something when he rushed the officer twice.

1. They are not getting the updates on the incident: robbery video, background conversation on cell phone video, officers story told through a friend, autopsy report.

3. The protestors are outsiders coming to have some fun, or cause trouble. They also are oblivious to updates on the story.
Any way you look at it, the current "protestors" are not legitimate.
