Russia Asks If America Is Still Fit To "Participate In Solving International Problems"

Tyler Durden's picture

Yesterday it was China slamming America's superpower status (and thus dollar reserve currency status) when in Sina News it stated the following:

Their various reconnaissance aircraft have been wandering around foreign airspace for decades and watching the military secrets of other countries like a disgusting thief spying over his neighbor’s fence. However, when the neighbor comes back with a big stick, the thief will turn tail and run away, blaming the neighbor.

When you show people weakness, they will bully you. When you show people strength, they will respect you.

We [the newspaper] believe the Chinese Air Force and Naval aviation should maintain a high level of vigilence and morale in southeast coastal region to prevent the further US action.

America has lost face and does not want to show the world they are sick. They have been lording over other countries for so long, and they will never let it go after they eat this loss.

Now it is Russia's turn, whose Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Friday, following the UN's delay in adopting a statement calling for a ceasefire in Ukraine after the US once again opposed Russia, which claimed among other things that "if the US opposes an absolutely non-confrontational, reconciliatory text, there can be no doubts that Washington intends to have the armed confrontation in Ukraine continued. It could be seen only as an attempt to ‘undermine’ the humanitarian mission." A mission which Russia greenlighted despite stern US opposition, and also concluded without incident as we reported yesterday, when the convoy returned to Russia after a brief stay in east Ukraine.

Moscow believes that such policy is hypocritical, the ministry added. Of course, if indeed the Ukraine economic crisis is the direct result of US and CIA meddling as the Victoria Nuland intercepted recording validates, then Russia has every right to such an opinion.

The punchline:

"Cynical disregard for the fate of civilians and 'couldn't care less' attitude toward the international humanitarian law when it comes to geopolitical interests, becomes the core of the policy of the United States and its European satellites regarding Ukrainian," the statement read.

"More and more questions are being raised about the ability of the current US administration to participate in the development of realistic and pragmatic approaches to international problems, to adequately assess the situation in the various regions of the world," the Russia Foreign Ministry noted.

One wonders if based on his recent track record in the international arena, the president of the US wouldn't agree.

I like this article for three reasons:  it lets us know that Russia doesn't particularly care for the USA at this point in time.

It applies to all of us in the USA.

We should be concerned but not worried.

I question the U.S. and its ability to lead, but CHINA? Russia? Don't make me laugh. Those countries have enough of their own problems right now.

Not to mention: seeing that China steals about $250 billion per year in U.S. intellectual property, I'm wondering who the REAL "disgusting thief" is. If China devoted as much of its energy into r&d as it does to figuring out how to steal technology from U.S. firms, they might even be able to compete with us technologically. Assholes.

America has its problems but fortunately we're still better than these two fucks.

As if the US didn't steal plenty of intellectual property in the 19th century.

You ever hear of Charles Dickens?  Or publishing royalties?

The lesser of two turds is still a turd. But if you want to exalt your favorite turd, be my guest.

BTW, I certainly don't accept your supposition that the US is the lesser of the two turds.

I question it too when US forensic and spy assets see the same video I did and think it's a cause for war. Although the Telegraph now equivocates on its original story, it does fairly definitively say the Foley "murder" was likely staged with fake neck cuts and a probably fake knife. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/journalists/bill-gardner/11054488/Foley-murde...

I'll go one further. Fake and lame. The US should go back to preschool and let Vlad do the world's work.

Also, Foley's known gruppa krovi was not as it has been "recovered" by the Yanks. But that's for tomorrow's RT.

We are the people. The enemy of the people just got closer than usual and stole our government (this time).

From within Russia I'm sure we would criticize, but in this Ukraine issue: Putin has spoken more truth than Obama (and shown more patience).

If we are going to be better than the Russians, we need to start at the top, and that means we need leaders who are as good a people as we are. Until then .. yay Russia.

Besides, many of us are starting to realize that this whole paradigm is resembling slavery, and it will all have to crash before we can (hopefully) rebuild a system that serves the people once again.

All "International Problems" are is that people do not communicate as well as they should.  Conversely, I think many of us at Zerohedge have communicated quite well with each other.  It is the Hare-lips who pretend to run nations who are the problem.  Name me a country who does not have a central bank and we will work back from there.  Good luck.

Ukraine forces clash with armoured convoy crossing Russia border: Kiev

Kiev (AFP) - Ukraine said a battle erupted on Monday between border guards and a convoy of "dozens" of armoured vehicles and tanks that entered its territory from Russia near the Azov Sea.

"The Ukrainian border has been breached by a convoy of several dozen tanks and armoured vehicles" which crossed in the area close to Ukraine's industrial city Mariupol, security spokesman Leonid Matyukhin told AFP.

"The convoy has been stopped by border guards... The battle is ongoing."

Ukraine border guards clash with rebels near Russian border: military

(Reuters) - Ukrainian government forces engaged with a separatist armored column near the southeastern town of Novoazovsk, about 10 km (6 miles) from the Russian border, Ukraine's military said on Monday.

Semen Semenchenko, commander of the pro-government Azov militia, said on his Facebook page that around 50 armored vehicles had crossed the border from Russia.

What those of us who are cautious about 'news' have come to believe is that, unless there is a photo, it is unlikely to be true.

This applies to both sides but in the case of the Ukraine it is the Seperatists and Russia who have provided virtually all the evidence.

Until Kiev/US/NATO start producing evidence, don't belive a word of their PR.
