Stunning Footage Of Israeli Strike Leveling 12-Story Gaza Building
Late on Saturday afternoon, supposedly in retaliation for yet another round of shelling by Hamas now that the X+1 "ceasefire" has failed to lead to anything tangible, Israel bombed an apartment tower in Gaza City, collapsing the 12-story building with 44 apartments. The dramatic strike is shown in the blip below. Amazingly, while dozens were wounded in the strike, no one was killed, Palestinian officials said.
The targeting of large buildings appears to be part of a new military tactic by Israel. Over the weekend, the army began warning Gaza residents in automated phone calls that it would target buildings harboring "terrorist infrastructure" and that they should stay away.
A senior military official confirmed that Israel has a policy of striking at buildings containing Hamas operational centers or those from which military activities are launched. The official said each strike required prior approval from military lawyers and is carried out only after the local population is warned.
However, he said, there was now a widening of locations that the military can target. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not permitted to discuss the matter with reporters.
In the 12-story apartment tower, the target was a fourth-floor apartment where Hamas ran an operations center, according to Israeli media. In the past, Israel has carried out pinpoint strikes, targeting apartments in high-rises with missiles, while leaving the buildings standing. However, this time a decision was made to bring down the entire tower, according to Channel 10, an Israeli TV station.
The military declined immediate comment when asked why it collapsed the entire building instead of striking a specific apartment.
Meanwhile, Gaza militants continued to fire rockets and mortar shells at Israel, including at least 10 on Sunday, the military said. That was in addition to more than 100 on Saturday, most aimed at southern Israel.
So with that, and all the other geopolitical flare ups over the weekend, we look forward to the futures opening some 5 to 10 points higher in a few hours on all the "pent up de-escalation" from the past 48 hours.

The Athenians, in their war against Sparta, would lecture their victims that if they were to survive they needed to give up hope - which the forces from Athens called “danger’s comforter,” relinquish their freedom and thus submit to the power of Athens. That is what you are calling for the Palestinians to do.
Often this meant that all of the adult males would be executed and the women and children sold into slavery.
If the United States is to stand behind and support Israel’s barbarism then as Americans we have a duty to pull these leaders out of their offices and replace them with civilized people. If we do not, we will suffer the same fate as the Palestinians under the bankers' coming “new world order.”

Jesus came with the new contract, the New Testament, because the Jews failed to recognize Him as the Christ, the Messiah, and thus the old contract, the Old Testament, was superceded by the New. Jesus is the reason the Jews denounce Christmas and call the Bible anti-Semitic.
Revelations 2: 8-9 explains that there are Jews who are serving Satan’s purpose.

Most of the cult of Jesus was created long after his death. A dead profete/king/whatever was not of much use of people trying to establish a long lasting religious doctrine to subdue people with. So you worship sobody who is dead? What is the point! Hey, I got an idea, let's create an idea that there is life after death and let's give people hope and make them think that all this suffering on earh has a purpose. I visited old Jerusalem two years ago and thought "is this the city that all the fuss is about from whatever religious opinion?". Crying christians walking the route that Jesus supposedly walked, muzzies aggitated after the Friday prayers, orthodox jews keeping whole neighbourhoods awake during the sabbath. While outside the city walls there is a secular modern society that was built using logic, reasoning and freedom of thinking (whatever you might think of Israel's policy towards Palestine). There are a lot of things wrong with the world but we started having longer, healthier and happier lives when we started using our brains instead of waiting for some god to do it for us.
The old city might be interesting from an historical point of view but so are many European cities. Nothing special about that city. The world could have been spared a lot of misery if that city was flattened a long time ago and not rebuilt.

I am somewhat surprised the building then fell over, I think earthquake anchoring we do in California might make buildings less likely to do that. Have they no standards, there in Gaza? Harumph.
