OT, but still quite interesting in terms of potential and very real threats to the asshole Neocons who may be thinking of starting a Hot War with "Goys their own size":
Super-cavitating sub "Futuristic Chinese ‘supersonic’ sub could reach US shores in under two hours"
The super-fast technology was developed by scientists at the Harbin Institute of Technology, and would allow underwater submarines or torpedoes to exceed the equivalent speed of sound under water – about 3,600 miles per hour.
The idea is based on the old Soviet concept of supercavitation, which involves creating a large air bubble around an object so that it could avoid facing too much friction and travel through water quickly.

That's an interesting concept. Once they get friction sorted out (the easy part) then they'll have to do a few 'back of the napkin' equations relative to A) the diameter of the sub, B) the weight of the water displaced @ 3,600 mph {sub diameter X 3,600 miles}, and C) where the hell do you get that much power that can be harnessed in such a small package and used up that rapidly.
Other than that, it should be a piece of cake...
Finally someone has done the maths on that super sub bollocks. Probably just US navy PR pressing for more dollars to avoid a 'looming' sub-speed deficit.

The CNN talking heads are pissing their pants right now over the death of a born and breed American in the ranks of ISIS in Syria. He fell in battle against the Assad Syrian Arab Army. CNN is now "worried" that Americans are fighting for ISIS, while all good Americans want to fight against ISIS. "How can this happen" they ask.
But do they mention America 3 year long alliance with Al-Qaeda and ISIS in the attack on Syria? No, they do not. Do they mention USA tax money funding training camps in Turkey and Jordan, where American trainers teach radical Islamist volunteers how to fight, arm them and give them cash money as reward? No, they do not. Does CNN connect the 3 year American funded effort to raise a Radical Jihadist Army to fight Syria? No, they seem to have forgotten. Do they mention John McCain visiting Al-Qaeda camps in Turkey and Jordan to urge the Islamists on to do battle. Nope, not a word.
So we are presented, by CNN, with the dealy threat of ISIS and it's new American and European members who have joined ISIS to wage Jihad. Yet they never mention CIA operations to recruit, transport, trai, arm and fund thousands of Islamists from around the world in their camps. These forces ARE ISIS. They we told by the CIA to fight Assad and help America conquer Syria for Israel. Yet, they turned their guns on US occupied Iraq! Now Obama pisses himself in rage over our former allies gunning to overthrow American occupied Iraq.
This really would be a funny story, if it did not cost America taxpaers so much money in the sort and long run. Now Obama wants to go to war with the USA created ISIS Army in Iraq and Syria. We really do create enemies so we cna fight them. Good for Corporate Profits, and good for police state actions at home. All going according to plan. Neocon Washington DC at it best, or maybe worst. Can anyone credit such a group of fuck heads leading all Ameicna foreign policy. AIPAC and Neocons allied to make war across the globe. Mossad and CIA have eeven been in west Ukraine for 20 years +, funding and aiding Fascist groups to grow in strength, and later to be foot soldiers of the American Coup in Kiev, resulting in all out civil war in the east. Neocons again! Those dirty little fucks have got their greedy hands in every thing, always spreading war, and hiding behind American Patriotism. Demanding All America must support Neocon war making in order to be Patriotic.
Excellent post. What really gets me about this one is that it's not a conspiracy in the slightest. I distinctly recall seeing stories in the mainstream corporate media last year about how we were openly funding and arming the opposition to the "evil" Assad in Syria, because he was so horrible and killing his own people.
Now, a year later, the opposition to Assad are suddenly the "evil" ones. The cognitive dissonance required on the part of the media and the dumbed down populace on this one is even more stunning than usual, and that's saying something.

I am sure she said something else, involving the letters CIA, but the editor didn't think such allegations fit to print.
It's all scripted. They haven't lost the narrative yet. Maybe later when the whole shebang spills over to Saudi and other places, then they might be shitting in their pants. For now, it's business as planned. Any current outrage is more made up hoopla. They think they can take down ISIS when the time comes to rolll up the carpet, but they might find the genie is well out of his bottle.

It's true. The day he died, the whole story came out, but then Media rushed to cover it up. Libya was the base camp for terrorist recruitment and arms procurement for Syrian proxy war.
I do not mean to take away from your analysis but I think the reason why the regime-stream media is putting out these stories of European and American ISIS recruits is likely to prepare the sheeple for a future narrative.
Eventually, ISIS fighters will be caught and revealed. Their employers will abandon them and the sheeple will hear nothing more than the same narrative.
I agree completely. I'd go back even further when they were more concerned about "homegrown terrorists" after 911 than they were about any outside threat. Not that there ever really was an outside threat that wasn't from a three letter alphabet agency.

One of the things that keeps me from buying into the theory of a puppetmaster behind the strings manipulating our government and business is the blatant amateurism of this administration (last one wasn't too much better) in regards to foreign policy. It's not just feckless, it's impotent. They seem to be outmanuevered at nearly every turn, when they aren't stymied by "lesser" states and they get into the shit, they make hamfisted choices that so obviously make the situation worse.
If the destruction is intentional, Obama shouldn't have received a Nobel, he (and his ilk in his cabinet) should receive freaking Oscars. Seriously, they portray the outclassed amateur extremly convincingly.
