30 Million Americans On Antidepressants And 21 Other Facts About America's Endless Pharmaceutical Nightmare
Submitted by Michael Snyder of End of The American Dream blog,
Has there ever been a nation more hooked on drugs than the United States? And I am not just talking about illegal drugs – the truth is that the number of Americans addicted to legal drugs is far greater than the number of Americans addicted to illegal drugs. As you will read about below, more than 30 million Americans are currently on antidepressants and doctors in the U.S. wrote more than 250 million prescriptions for painkillers last year. Sadly, most people got hooked on these drugs very innocently. They trusted that their doctors would never prescribe something for them that would be harmful, and they trusted that the federal government would never approve any drugs that were not safe. And once the drug companies get you hooked, they often have you for life.
You see, the reality of the matter is that some of these “legal drugs” are actually some of the most addictive substances on the entire planet. And when they start raising the prices on those drugs, there isn’t much that the addicts can do about it. It is a brutally efficient business model, and the pharmaceutical industry guards their territory fiercely. Very powerful people will often do some really crazy things when there are hundreds of billions of dollars at stake. The following are 22 facts about America’s endless pharmaceutical nightmare that everyone should know…
#1 According to the New York Times, more than 30 million Americans are currently taking antidepressants.
#2 The rate of antidepressant use among middle aged women is far higher than for the population as a whole. At this point, one out of every four women in their 40s and 50s is taking an antidepressant medication.
#3 Americans account for about five percent of the global population, but we buy more than 50 percent of the pharmaceutical drugs.
#4 Americans also consume a whopping 80 percent of all prescription painkillers.
#5 It is hard to believe, but doctors in the United States write 259 million prescriptions for painkillers each year. Prescription painkillers are some of the most addictive legal drugs, and our doctors are serving as enablers for millions up0n millions of Americans that find themselves hooked on drugs that they cannot kick.
#6 Overall, pharmaceutical drug use in America is at an all-time high. According to a study conducted by the Mayo Clinic, nearly 70 percent of all Americans are on at least one prescription drug, and 20 percent of all Americans are on at least five prescription drugs.
#7 According to the CDC, approximately 9 out of every 10 Americans that are at least 60 years old say that they have taken at least one prescription drug within the last month.
#8 In 2010, the average teen in the United States was taking 1.2 central nervous system drugs. Those are the kinds of drugs which treat conditions such as ADHD and depression.
#9 A very disturbing Government Accountability Office report found that approximately one-third of all foster children in the United States are on at least one psychiatric drug.
#10 An astounding 95 percent of the “experimental medicines” that the pharmaceutical industry produces are found not to be safe and are never approved. Of the remaining 5 percent that are approved, we often do not find out that they are deadly to us until decades later.
#11 One study discovered that mothers that took antidepressants during pregnancy were four times more likely to have a baby that developed an autism spectrum disorder.
#12 It has been estimated that prescription drugs kill approximately 200,000 people in the United States every single year.
#13 An American dies from an unintentional prescription drug overdose every 19 minutes. According to Dr. Sanjay Gupta, accidental prescription drug overdose is “the leading cause of acute preventable death for Americans”.
#14 In the United States today, prescription painkillers kill more Americans than heroin and cocaine combined.
#15 According to the CDC, approximately three quarters of a million people a year are rushed to emergency rooms in the United States because of adverse reactions to pharmaceutical drugs.
#16 The number of prescription drug overdose deaths in the United States is five times higher than it was back in 1980.
#17 A survey conducted for the National Institute on Drug Abuse found that more than 15 percent of all U.S. high school seniors abuse prescription drugs.
#18 More than 26 million women over the age of 25 say that they are “using prescription medications for unintended uses“.
#19 If all of these antidepressants are helping, then why are more Americans killing themselves? The suicide rate for Americans between the ages of 35 and 64 increased by nearly 30 percent between 1999 and 2010. The number of Americans that die by suicide is now greater than the number of Americans that die as a result of car accidents every year.
#20 Antidepressant use has been linked to mass shootings in America over and over and over again, and yet the mainstream media is eerily quiet about this. Is it because they don’t want to threaten one of their greatest sources of advertising revenue?
#21 The amount of money that the pharmaceutical industry is raking in is astronomical. It has been reported that Americans spent more than 280 billion dollars on prescription drugs during 2013.
If many of these drugs were not so addictive, the pharmaceutical companies would make a lot less money. And pharmaceutical drug addicts often don’t fit the profile of what we think a “drug addict” would look like. For example, CNN shared the story of a 55-year-old grandmother named Cynthia Scudo that become addicted to prescription painkillers…
For Scudo, her addiction began — as they all do — innocently enough.
She sought relief from hip pain, possibly caused by scarring from cesarean sections she had delivering several of her children.
Her then-husband recommended a physician.
“There was no physical therapy offered,” she said of the doctor’s visit. “The first reaction was, let’s give you some drugs.”
He put her on OxyContin.
By the second week, she was physically addicted.
She was popping so much of the painkiller and other drugs such as anti-anxiety Valium that they equated to a dosage for three men.
There is lots and lots of money to be made from addiction. In fact, if the U.S. health care system was a totally separate nation it would actually be the 6th largest economy on the entire globe. We are talking about piles of money larger than most people would ever dare to imagine.
And with so much money floating around, it is quite easy for the pharmaceutical industry to buy the cooperation of our politicians and of the media.
Some time when you are watching television in the evening, consciously take note of how often a pharmaceutical commercial comes on.
It has gotten to the point where we are literally being inundated with these ads.
They are already making hundreds of billions of dollars, and they think that there is room for even more growth.
Will they ever be satisfied?

The side effects of a lot of these drugs are medical problems in and of themselves. Unpredictable behavior, psychotic behavior, violent behavior. Many drugs don't fix, they shift problems. You have to wonder how mankind ever made the 1.5 million year evolutionary journey without having all this "necessary" medicine.
It all makes sense if one doesn't believe in evolution.
How so?
Again. How so.
On second look my comment was kind of cryptic.
Anyone who believes in creationism over evolution could be easily fooled into thinking a pill can cure all that ails. It's all about faith, religion is the original opiate of the masses.
Conversely, anyone who believes in evolution over creationism could easily be fooled into thinking the evolution of medicine has provided pills that can cure all ails. It's all about faith, religion is the original opiate of the masses (and isn't always tied in with the spiritual or unseen).
We fucked early and died young.
@ silvered,
And, when you go to rehab to fight off the addiction the hospitals administer you Benzo's which are a dirivertive of Opiates. Most if not all of the patients during the day look literally like zombies and are asleep in sitting positions with their heads slumped over.
Benzos are closer to barbituates than opiates, they don't get broken down by the liver, they just get pissed out.
an opiate antaginist will not treat a benzo overdose. They are like apples and oranges, completely different.
Benzos are sometimes an effective therapy short term in weaning someone off of antidepressants. Many of the ssri based drugs can cause severe reactions if you cease using them immediately, up to and including death.
antidepressents are major mind fuck chemicals, they are not stimulants as some folks think. they can cause a host of problems as bad or worse than depression, including paranoia, obesity, and pyschosis and suicidal thoughts and actions.
On the whole diazepams are much safer than antidepressants and at least all they do is make people fall asleep, which is usually okay unless your are driving a vehicle.
this is why Big Pharma doesn't want to compete with wacky weed.
It will be interesting to watch the rate of antidepressant consumption in Colorado and Washington.
Of course, according to DEA predictions, the number of fatal Cannabis overdoses in those two states should skyrocket.
Frito sales will skyrocket in those states.
One of the good things to come out of those .gov "pot experiments" (much to the chagrin of tax seeking statists) is an economics lesson.
The, uhhh, errr, cartels? are undercutting "legal weed" pricing and the potency is better from what I understand, so the natural response of the state (the other cartel) is to...raise taxes/prices to make up for the expected shortfall and of course, more regulators/police.

http://money.cnn.com/2014/09/02/news/economy/marijuana-taxes-colorado/
Colorado's missing marijuana taxesBy Katie Lobosco, September 2, 2014.
Colorado is missing $21.5 million in pot taxes.
Voters legalized retail marijuana (pot for everyone, not just medical patients) in 2012. And they were told the state would pull in $33.5 million from two new taxes in the first six months of 2014. It turns out, the projections were way off. Here's why.
Pot smokers are still buying on the black market:
The state thought more people would migrate out of the black market. But only 60% of people who want pot in Colorado this year will buy it through legal channels, according to an estimate from the Marijuana Policy Group.
One big reason:
Legal pot costs a lot more than illegal pot
-- mostly because of taxes and fees.
Legal retail marijuana is taxed more than 27%, so it's easily cheaper on the black market. ...
You can also grow it yourself without penalty as long as its indoor for personal use. I for one would elect for that option, as are many other people. Even with taxes a legal ounce of herb shouldnt cost more than 250$ an oz. Thats the best, most fair price you cna get. Also, bare in mind, outdoor gorwers are still frowned upon due to stigmas stemming form ignorant people. It seven better to bear in mind, the best place in the WORLD to grow Cannabis is Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan, and North West Ohio. This is due to the Infra Red spectrum that pummels this region during the late summer months, which in turn gives a FAR superior flower to crops. NASA has even noted this in satalite images. The prices will come down once its legalized in states that have superior climates to its large scale production.
"But only 60% ... buy it through legal channels"
This a result of stupid greed. They should have set
the tax low enough to bust the black market. They could
have raised it later.
Same thing happened after prohibition. Taxes kept bootlegging
economic til the 60's. Finally, inflation made the tax savings so
low that bootleggingdied out.
.
Clearly they are guilty of LWI (legislating while impaired), a centuries-old American tradition.
lol...yes and the sheeple supported it.
I'll never get over the stupidity of the masses, as this thing was being promoted and passed RM & I (and others) kept saying it is going to cost YOU PEOPLE more to have it...legally regulated. It always does. We told them just decriminalize it, then if you like your pot, you can keep your pot.
Period ;-)
But nooo, "Tax me moar man! It'll be great doood, it'll be like, legal, fer sher!!!"
I mean WTF Stooging, what are we going to do about these people? We expect politicians to become corrupted over time and consumed by the carnivorous state instead of staying with the people and fighting against the beast.
But what are we going to do about the people who willingly throw themselves into its jaws?
.
Smile and wave?
My thoughts exactly ;-)
Here's a good one (OT) I just stumbled across:
"We asked Goldsmith if he could be mistaken about the towers. Perhaps they are just commercial ones that seem unusual?
“We can definitely tell” that they’re non-network towers, he said, by analysis of the infrastructure. These phony towers, without names as normal towers have, insist to your phone that they must handle the call and then trick the phone into turning off its normal encryption.
Such a tower tells you that “none of your towers are currently available,” Goldsmith told us. It says, “‘I’m your tower.’
“If you wanted to listen to a phone call,” he said, “this would be the easy way.”

Thank goodness the FCC is launching their investigation to get to the bottom of it...lol.
I think the only way pot can kill you is if a very large block of hashish falls from a high roof and lands on your head.
That, and choking on Doritos!
that's what hard hats are for...

Indeed, auntiesocial, the Profit From Disease System has become triumphant by dominating the funding of the political processes, in the same ways as the entire social pyramid systems worked. The medical system is inside the monetary system, which is inside the military system. The military system operates its death controls through the maximum possible deceits. The monetary system operates its debt controls through the maximum possible frauds. Of course, the established medical Profit From Disease System is consistent with its larger context.
HOWEVER, THERE ARE NO PRACTICAL POLITICAL WAYS TO CHANGE THAT, BECAUSE OF THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE VICIOUS SPIRAL OF THE FUNDING OF POLITICS GENERATING FANTASTIC PROFITS WHICH CAN THEN BE REINVESTED IN MORE FRAUDS, WHILE NOBODY ELSE OUTSIDE OF THAT COULD COMPETE.
Hence, like every other exponential growth curve one cares to look at, happening in America, and around the world, everything is going to automatically get worse, faster, until the established systems go through psychotic breakdowns or collapses into crazy chaos. People deluded into taking what the pharmaceutical business advertizes as "anti-depressants" are living inside of runaway systems of debt slavery, backed by wars based on deceits. Intuitively they may feel that. However, my view is that when one is angry, long enough, but can not do anything about what one is angry about, then one gradually may become depressed.
In many ways, the vast majority of Americans SHOULD BE ANGRY, however, they have no practical ways to express that, and so, end up being depressed instead. The American Medical system was transformed into being primarily a Profit From Disease System by the banksters and their buddies' Foundations funding, dominating the medical schools and medical journals, etc., in vicious spirals of developments which resulted in medicine being practiced in ways which made the most money.
It was NOT an accident that every alternative form of medicine was systematically discredited and destroyed as much as possible during the previous Century or so. However, like I already pointed out, after one learns about the history of the details of the Profit From Disease System, one can still no do anything about that significant, because one can still not remotely come close to being able to compete with the continuing ability of the Profit From Disease System to be in feedback loops of dominating the funding of politics.
Of course, in America, Obamacare was the latest form of the turning of the worm of the Profit From Disease System. Tragically, I can not currently believe in any future other than America madly destroying itself. As far as I can tell, America is leading the world towards being controlled by runaway enforced frauds, which have become like terminal illnesses. The Profit From Disease System is one of the aspects of social systems which are terminally sick and insane, madly destroying themselves, in ways which torture more people to death than anything else.
Dude, you left out the biggest system of all: the Belief System. Look, I know damn good and well that there are forces operating in this Universe that are greater than I- so great in fact that I cannot even begin to comprehend them.
My working theory is that if you can convince people that the evidence of higher beings can be attributed to this or that really cool guy who roamed the earth not so very long ago, you can convince them of pretty much anything. Hence describing what I call the Belief System.
It's WAAAY bigger than the systems you describe. It enables the systems you describe. It permeates the systems you describe. I usually give you crap about your long-windedness, but I don't believe you to be stupid. Just asking you to make another leap in your logic, upwards.

I regard Energy as Spirit. The source of everything is the energy. However, our experience of that can only be in time and space. Our typical mistake is to regard the illusions as ultimate reality. However, since the subtraction is never absolute, the robberies are never finished. ... What other ways are there to come to terms with progress in science and technology making weapons of mass destruction than more progress in political science? The degree to which that is apparently impossible is the degree to which the human species looks like it is going to commit suicide. At the present time, it is almost impossible to imagine how society could avoid madly destroying itself, instead of sufficiently going through a real, radical revolution, in order to adapt so that it could survive.
Despite that the vast majority continue to be deliberately ignorant does not mean that I have given up on the ability of energy to continue being conserved, as it flows through its transformations. I regard all the typical attributes of "God" to have their source in the conservation of energy and momentum, which then also implies a more subtle principle of the preservation of information. In my view, it is quite possible to develop a new kind of religion or ideology, which is consistent with a radical understanding of the concepts of science. The practical political fact that almost nobody is interested in doing that does not change the theoretical possibility of doing that, nor the theoretically imperatives that more people should do that.
However, in order to do that, before science can become a more liberating influence, science itself, as a social institution, would have to be more liberated from the degree to which the philosophy of science was another victim of being dominated by the biggest bullies' bullshit world view. For instance, bizarrely, the proof that inorganic chemicals could be transformed into organic chemicals, was then interpreted to mean everything was dead, instead of the alternative that everything was alive. During the history of science, scientists came to a compromise with the dominant religion that they would study the dead material world, while the living spiritual world continued to be the domain of religion. However, if one makes the transition towards perceiving that Energy IS Spirit, then everything in the domain of science becomes a radicalized religion.
A-Ha! I didn't mention religion specifically, did I? Are you a physicist?
But yes, energy is all that we are, or ever will be. Just as the terminals of a battery determine its potential, the capacity for death and destruction are ever and only balanced by the compassion of the opressed.
It's the energy in the battery, Rad. It will never change. It may ebb and flow from one place to another, but it will never change.
I'm thinking I may never be able to reach you, but it won't stop me tryin'. You take offense to me, when all I ever wanted to do was calm you. There can never be good without bad. There will never exist a Utopia on this earth without a counter-balancing Hell on this earth.
Right now, the terminals are pretty charged up. America wants war with Russia and the ultimate loser will be the EU, whether they fight or not.
It could go nuclear, and the Americans are so naive that they think they could win such a war. Moscow is not Nagasaki. Sevastopol is not Hiroshima. Both the Russians and Chinese have wagged their schlongs at the supposedly dominant power lately, and president stompy-feet looks like a fool, because he is.
Nevermind that all of these playa's are being advised by the same banksters. What could possibly go wrong?
Excellent "Rad". Spot on.
The entire prison system would collapse as well. Can't have that. And Big Pharma is absolutely a gov. installation. Another revolving-door type situation. No independent study, etc.
This is simply America today, the quick/easy fix is all that anyone is interested in. Whether it be perscription medication, Ben and now Janet's endless QE, or Biden/Obama screaming about how ISIS will be defeated (but with no plan of course), it's really no different. Americans don't really want to address the real problems or root causes of the problems as this would take too much effort. Rather, the entitlement nature of America simply wants to find the quickest/simplest short-term cure so they can return to waiting for the iPhone 6, setting their fantasy football teams for the coming week, or tracking the latest celebrity buzz.
Can't wait until those magic weight-loss pills are finally introduced as why excercise or watch our diet, some new little "blue" pill is all that will be needed. Of course when they develop a pill that allows people not to work and earn a living, well then you know utopia is upon us. Oh yeah, I forgot, that pill already exists and is being handed out freely from the biggest pharma company in America, Washington D.C.
I exercise, eat right and haven't had a prescription in 10 years. I am excited about the new iphone though. Fuck man, we need to be able enjoy something in life!
All man needs is some good pussy.
I exercise, eat right and haven't had a prescription in 10 years. I enjoy fine wine, good liquor, and college football though. Fuck man, we need to be able enjoy somethings in life! I can milti-task, I am able to stay informed on politics, finance, and the basket the world is in on its journey to hell.
Many thanks to you guys here at ZH for helping me with all that so I don't fall into the antidepressant trap.
I predict, eating a Snickers bar in twenty years will be a willful, violent act against the state, policed by anorexic zealots wearing burlap from head to toe ;-)
wearing burlap makes 7 out of 10 people itch and creates several bushels of homeless spuds...
should be a pill for that
You know what they say - "Everytime a Doctor diagnoses a diabetic he can afford to go out and buy a new car!"
Yeah, right ... as if Medicare or Medicaid pays enuff even for a bicycle.
I've seen lots of skinny-ass suburban soccer mom junkies. No different than a two-dollar street whore. They just suck the husband's dick for a fix.
Wait, what? I get my wife addicted to oxycontin and I'll get blowjobs? "Honey, about those headaches you've been having, you should go see the doctor".
That is so true. Sadly when the high isn't enough she find another woman's husband to pleasure for the fix.
EVERY FREAKING TIME I have to go see my physician to get my thyroid meds, which is the only thing reason I go and the only thing I am on, as I have autoimmune thyroid issues (I blame this on growing up downwind of Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant) they try to "push" me into being depressed. (I'm not) Or put me on statins, when I have excellent blood work, and optimal breakdown including low triglycerides. But they say I should take statins because the total number is borderline. I do not have CAD nor have I had a heart attack. I refuse. They call me stubborn and I call them a damn bunch of pill pushers. God help you if you need a good diagnostician. Thing is..ya just can't buy into the drug culture. Pun intended.
Statins are heavily pushed while the general understanding of cholesterol, its functions and underlying causes of problems is extremely poor in the "industry".
Look at the rate of statin prescription & alzhiemers.
Myelin.
Humans are simply the raw material for this industry to exploit to the fullest extent possible. Monetization, give it up folks.
The most common anecdote I've heard about the effect of antidepressants is that once you start taking them you just cease to care about pretty much everything outside of your immediate sphere.
Fucking FRIGHTENING is what it is.
Yeah, best friend's been on them over a decade. Completely unecessary IMO, fix the problem, don't medicate the symptoms and ignore it. Should things every go really bad in the States, a portion of those 30 million are going to have to go cold turkey and that's a bunch of wacked out people wandering around.
My best friend had them foisted upon him by the state, court ordered or something. I begged him to shitcan them, but for whatever reason he didn't.
He killed himself in May.
Giant waste of a productive, smart, witty human being.
Depression has a lot of sources temporary or permanent. As best I know, antidepressants are a double edges sword. They all do work to diminish depression if you find the right one (there are bunch). However, if a person has suicidal ideation and you sort of lift them out of the depression rapidly, the theory is that they actually have the strength to complete the suicide...versus laying in bed in a dark room.
So, one of the things that might be managed is how fast someone comes out. I will also say that counselling should be proscribed, as well. They should go together but rarely do.
My uncle was prescribed them.
after a coupe of weeks decided the cure was worse than the disease. At least he did some research into the best way to stop, before telling the doc anything about it.
The worst scenario possible 50-70 million sheep without their psych meds roaming the fucking streets......
Hence the Zombie phenomenon in modern culture. We all know what will happen.
They won't be walking the streets. They will be curled up on their sofas with a half gallon of ice cream watching Bugs Bunny.
Until TV and the freezer go out.
At that point, stand well back!
Cocaine, alcohol, sugar, anything can be an anti depressant or a depressant, depending on how it is used and in what mood one uses it. A bicycle on the other hand is rarely a depressant, just sayin'.
...and MSNBC.
Is it that hard to eat a plum, and some granola, or even nuts, in the morning? I think people are really malnourished.
It's not about body weight. It's about intake.
Pink slime, wood pulp burgers every day?

Hope you either brew your own or know a nice boutique brewer.
But you will still be diagnosed with cancer in 22 months.
If you look at the case at Starbucks, a "hip" and trendy US company, the food is "death on wheels". It amazes me how deadly this health concious companies baked goods are. Depressed? Have another 3 day old white flour croissant made a 100 miles away, no fucking wonder.
WHITE FUCKING FLOUR IS THE KILLER AND THE BRAIN DRAIN!!!!!! Brown rice bitchez. Eat grains.
Grains are what fattens your animals for slaughter.
They jack with insulin.

You have 100 trillion bacteria in your gut that determine your immune system and your brain health. But Glyphosate, the herbicide that is used in conjunction with GMO crops, kills your beneficial gut bacteria causing a whole host of illnesses.
Glyphosate:
Depletes aromatic amino acids and methionine
Disrupts gut bacteria
Studies with chickens, cows and pigs show overgrowth of pathogens in gut
Disrupts cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes which are involved in many biological functions
Depletes important minerals
Calcium, manganese, zinc, cobalt, iron, ….
Likely impairs sulfate synthesis and sulfate transport

@ J/O you're spot on. I'm just suggesting giving your immune system a fighting chance with the proper vitamin and mineral uptake.
Please don't forget to take probiotics and consume some fermented foods since Glyphosate is also patented as an antibiotic.
Noted. You completely "mind melded" me.
You're way above my 'pay grade", so I took a screen shot for future referrence.
I think you're saying to eat yogurt, and drink wine & beer?

We try to avoid all GMO foods ever since we read about bumble bees being sterilzed after hanging aorund GMO crops. I loved papaya but all papaya we get here is now GMO.
i avoid GMO wherever possible too, but how does that relate to my comment above?
This is precisely the plan. Make them sick and keep them alive with drugs and replacement parts. It is a perfect profit scheme. Scare the bejeezus out of everyone long enough and they will all be on anti-depressants too.
Husband has a Masters in chemistry..and he completely agrees.
BTW..he no longer works in industry. Meh.
An interesting thing regarding your gut bacteria - they 'talk' to your brain.
This is so TRUE! Also glphosates work in the human gut the same way that they work in plants, they dry up the membrane that absorbs NUTRIENTS into your system. So not ony are people being deprived of their healthy good guy probiotics, they are also being literally starved to death! But since most people consume so many surgar based foods they are fat as shit, because thier body cant regulate the amount of sugar being consumed! FUCK ROUND_UP! FUCK MONSANTO! AND FUCK ALL THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE POISONING EVERYONE FOR PROFIT!
I had to finally go see doc for ear infection this summer after self treatment failed. Too much of America's pure natural stream water in my ears. First doctor visit in over 30 years (dentist yes, dr no). Sumbitch looked in my ears, nose, throat, suctioned three seconds in one ear, Five minutes max total visit. Gave me a bill for $195 plus $95 for ear drops prescription. "Do no harm" my ass.
Next time use oil of oregano- one drop three times a day until the infection clears.
Damn sure will. Thanks.
You're welcome.
"oil of oregano- one drop three times a day"
Ouch! that stuff is strong. Dilute with a little olive oil.
A good combo for earaches is Colloidal silver and a little DMSO.
Next time just have them jet-stream your ear with a water pick.
Damn water pik can't cost any more than what I paid, plus it is long term reuseable. Will do. Thanks.
Colloidal Silver, go ahead and down vote me. I used to go to the docs twice a year for throat infections and ear etc. been years since i paid them bills.. pour it in your ear shove in a q tip wait 5 minutes and repeat a couple times a day
little 99% silver wire and a 9 volt battery or transformer... :)
I have been thinking more and more about trying My Precious Silver as a supplement. Thanks.
My dog was battling Lyme and anaplasmosa a few years back. He also developed a wicked ear infection to boot. Colloidal silver whipped the tick-borne illnesses, and CS directly in his ear got rid of his on/off ear infection in less than three days. It works!
No shots, other than the mandatory rabies. No frontline, no heartworm pills. These reduce their immune system so that they are more susceptible to the things they are supposed to prevent. There are natural means to combat parasites and boost your pet's immune system, as your own.
Wonderful article.
As a matter of fact the anti depressants happen in most of these mass killings, as the shooter is usually on these powerful drugs: but the pharma companies cover it up.
The answer to #20 is: the owners are the same for the media and big pharma
My kids came home from school, the first week, and couldn't believe they took all the junk food out of the school. They were confused.
They came home the second week. "Dad, you'll never guess what happened at school." "Kids are bringing in junk food & charging 3 times the price???" "Yes. We've never seen anything like it." They were amazed.
I said, "You now understand the entire drug complex, legal & otherwise...and The Boston Tea Party."
Michelle Obama just taught more about Economics, Law & Drugs than all the school lessons, ever.
there shouldn't be junk food vending machines in school, which is a place to learn - NOT a funding mechanism for food conglomerates to continue producing high sugar-laden, low-nutrition products.
and anyone buying junk food at 3 x price deserves to have their money stolen from them.
Re: #13; Death is not acute, Sanjay. It is certainly chronic, though. He's not really a doctor, but he plays one on tv, and he stays at the Holiday Inn.
Just received a call today. The woman was a 3rd party to my insurance company pitching how they purchase large batches of medications to lower my cost. Start out slow by explaining that I have nearly 9 bottles of drugs treating bronchitis and pneumonia. These bottles are still nearly full. I then read her the riot act on Pharmaceutical markets are legalized selling their own grade of heron.
She then proceeded with a nervous giggle on phone. Then I lambasted her that I don't take medical prescriptions. The 9 bottles of shit medicine made me feel worse. Can you refund my insurance company?
Somehow we got disconnected. Imagine that. I didn't even drop the F bombs on this woman. Thought my demeanor was 5 star professionalism.
True story.
How did it/she get your phone # Atomizer? ;-)
Health care medical information theft. When you check into the hospital, they ask for your ID, telephone number, and insurance card. I remember this guy stopping by asking me if I wanted to sign up to download all my medical records during the hospital stay. My reply, what is involved?
He tells me he needed my email address and password to setup service. I told him to get the fuck out of my sight. The guy high tailed out of the room. Can only believe many people are falling for this scam.
Unless you're actually in the pharma industry, the average Joe has no FUCKING IDEA how ludicrous the mark ups are on Rx drugs. Case in point, sitting in on a pharma marketing session I dmaned-near started hyoperventialting when I saw the worker's comp reimbursement rates on some of the drugs being marketed (e.g., manufacturing costs $2.00/unit; reimbursement rate $835.00/unit). It's no wionder the entire country is going bankrupt! It's like something out of the movie Brazil: mind-numbing federal and state oversight, totally asinine reimbursement structures, and Big Pharma and the AMA running the entire charade. There's no way to "fix" it. It's too big and is interwoven into the American psyche. A mongolian cluster fuck of epic proportions.
several european countries like UK and Germany have committes that conduct reviews on drug prices / touted effectiveness.
why doesn't the usa do that? it's a no brainer to control costs.
MSN News: Heroin use skyrocketing across the US
http://news.msn.com/us/video?videoid=39e7416a-685b-452f-87ac-f1a3164e1052
Since NATO began its ‘War on Terror’ in 2001, heroin production in Afghanistan has increased 40-fold, according to the head of Russia’s Federal Drug Control Service. “Afghan heroin has killed more than 1 million people worldwide since ‘Operation Enduring Freedom’ began, and over $1 trillion has been invested in transnational organized crime from drug sales,” Viktor Ivanov said earlier at a conference on the Afghan drug problem in 2013.

I highly suggest reading these documents. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
Activities and Mortality in the Elderly: The Leisure World Cohort Study
Looks interesting. Printed off and placed in toilet reading rack.
On my 60th trip round the sun.
I don't drive anymore, cycle everywhere in the city and use public transport for the long stuff.
I'm good for 50 miles most days. Average about 100 miles a week, over the year. Cycle 365 -40ºC to +40ºC
Hike a lot and shoot longbows for fun.
It feels good to be fit, whether it lengthens your life or not, it certainly improves the quality, and you can't beat going out and enjoying mother nature.
Alone with mother nature on a bicycle is the very best for mental health.
Absolutely correct.
However, misjudged the trail a few weeks ago.
Not the best day for my skeletal health or my internal organs.
Broken ribs and bruised liver and spleen.
Didn't ride for a week!
My mental health was suffering.
Ouch. That felt like more than a close call. I dig the way you got right back on that wild stallion. The best way to heal quick.
I used to ride on the regular when I was still a marathon runner. One time, my dong didn't work for a few days. I never rode regularly again. Never had problems with junior thereafter.
Moral of the story: cycling aint for everyone.
Once upon a time they referred to weed as mother nature.
Great link. There have also been several studies that concluded exercise pretty much cured depression and many other common health conditions doctors believe only drugs can cure treat.
Bread and circus
Looks like the war on _________________,
is the same as the
war on drugs
We need the government to declare a war on freedom - notice I said declare.
War on poverty = more poverty.
War on drugs = more drugs.
See what I'm getting at?
Instead, freedom is being sneaked out from under people.
Even if you can see it, it's hard to fight.
We must learn to quit enslaving ourselves.
They have a pill for everything under the sun, to fix any kind of ailment you might have. But the one kind of pill they have'nt come up with yet, is the one that will fix stupid... "You can't fix stupid, 'cause stupid is FOREVER!"
There ain't no pill for stupid!
...and there is no happy pill. Throw out the antidepressants! Get off your couch and live!
Ginko biloba
Antidepressants kill your libido - 30 mil on them means 30 mil not getting any = more depressed people!
Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.
Life is a sexually transmitted, terminal disease.
It just progresses differently in everyone, and every now and then physics gets involved.
Not to worry they have drugs to improve your libido!
"Not to worry they have drugs to improve your libido!"
Damn! EVERY TIME I hear "don't worry" I really start to worry.
Love is the drug
I'm thinking of....
I don't take any prescription meds of any kind.
Love my glass of red (or three) after work.
Having said that, I can't think of a single friend/relative who is NOT on prescription medicine for 'stress'. They have a kitchen cabinet delegated for their meds, and those 'old lady boxes' you can get to hold your daily dose aren't big enough.
Same here. It's a real pisser when you ask your dad why his doc prescribed a med and he says he doesn't know.
"The suicide rate for Americans between the ages of 35 and 64 increasedby nearly 30 percent between 1999 and 2010."
I blame Bush.
The beer, or the rock band?
#8 is horeshit.
#8 In 2010, the average teen in the United States was taking 1.2 central nervous system drugs. Those are the kinds of drugs which treat conditions such as ADHD and depression.
ALL drugs affect the CNS, the cns comprised the spine, the nerves and the brain, every drug affects that system, everything you touch, read or feel affects that system. coffee is a cns drug, all drugs are cns drugs, to break this our as a ADHd thing seems like a bit of wanking the pud.
ADHD is really a diagnosis involving the parents, sometimes the educators. No one wants to dicipline or guide a child who has been led to believe he or she is allowed to do whatever they want.
Just like adults on antidepressants, it is easier to drug 'em than fix 'em.
Well this is bullish for drugged-out moms mourning their 'beheaded' sons now sitting in CIA prison-resorts.
The thing that amazes me is that the health insurance companies surcharge people for being fat but why aren't they surcharging the depressed moms?
They already get that surcharge, via kickback from drug companies.
It's not just psych meds.
Look at all the fat fucks walking around.
They are all on ten meds for their insulin, heart, liver, cholesterol, etc.
And are lined up at the buffet.
Some 50% of cyberneticians, psychologists, and scientific researchers in the 1960s had ties to the CIA. What are the chances they tried to develop all of these drugs and synthetic foods as a new form of eugenics? We now know most drugs are the same as a placebo, but with side effects. That should tell you the answer.
Watch 'em all:

Hell, fuck it. I live pure. Got my vices though. I'm just not a sheep.
People do drugs and q99x2 stays 100% sober. Speakers at AA that mention anything about being on prescription medicine and I'm fucking out of there. We don't do drugs on Q989x2 and you know what happens when we drink. Jogging meditation and fucking studying, learning foreign languages, mathematics and fucking reading will having you saying YeeeeeeeHaaaaaa and laughing like a lunatic that continually wakes from one dream into the next. Greenspan sucks, Bernanke sucks. Yellen sucks and people that take drugs suck too. If you are here in this life you better validate existence because that's where you are M'Fers; that's what you are. Wake it and it lives.
Drugs are slavery.
"If you are here in this life you better validate existence because that's where you are M'Fers; that's what you are. Wake it and it lives."

.....and no one will smuggle even one gram of sweet gooey opium? c'mon guys. if y0u really want to incapacitate subversion of .gov then dropping opium from helicopters will create perfect order in an afternoon.
Carlo Rossi baby...
That's not that bad, it's only 10 percent
I could've swore it was 90.
Cue all the people to go on and on about this herb, exercise, etc etc and then four months now it will be something new. Live your life in moderation and take one day at a time. Your're still going to die. You can't hedge death.
The herb is the best medicine.
And 300 million are on flouride.
as a Note of Humor.. imagine that first week after the SHTF.. when the pharmacies have all been raided and everybody can have as much of whatever they want to get high on...
of course the next week when it all runs out will be Hell...
CVS stopped selling cigarettes today, the best coping mechanism for many in the the industrial/ electronic/ disconnected from nature Age we live in.
yeah, most women are psycho bitches
Q: What did one tampon say to the other?
A: Nothing. They were both stuck up bitches.
Awsome!!!!!!!!!!!
;like it..........
2 thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Being semi-retired, and much time on my hands, I read, write and think.
I cannot find the source or reason of the huge drug and alcohol problem that the USA has when compared to other nations.
Russians drink to cope with weather. Irish and Native Americans have no adapted biology to it. Confucian cultures do it as part of the business culture.
But Americans 1500-1950 are from all over Northern Europe and the British Isles, Italy.
Yet the USA had huge drinking problems in the 19th C. Average consuption was 4 or 5 hard liquor shots per person per day. Remove the kids, the non-drinkers, the women, and you had one very drunk nation. The carnival barkers selling concoctions with coke, marijuana, heroin, and opium in them. The meth, coke and now pot issue.
Other nations have production oriented cultures, work hard, work long hours(Germans, Japan, Canada), colonised a continent (Brasil, Canada), yet are not addicted.
Really do not know the answer.
"I cannot find the ... reason of the huge drug and alcohol problem that the USA has ..."
Its simple. It was the cheapest way to ship corn from the frontier. Look up the "Whiskey Rebellion"
Fucking Statin drugs are evil! I had mildly high cholesterol (less than 200 total) am 57 y/o and had about 40% blockage in some arteries that didn't need stinted. The next 3 years of my life were living hell from side effects. Cut my dose in half, then 1/4.....and Cholesteral went down with no dietary changes.....am off of it completely now. Back to feeling normal. Fuck big Pharma....and Fuck Crestor.
No drugs required- eat some hot peppers daily- like roto-rooter for cleaning plaque from the arteries.
