Is This Why Apple Is Falling?
Sure, it could be front-running the inevitable post-product-launch "it's great but not that great" sell-off... but one wonders if more is at play here...

That and Samsung out inovating them.
Bingo. I think traders are realizing that a bigger iPhone is just a bigger iPhone.
They shoulda been working on brain implants in HD
Or virtual t-bags. OH!!
Anything you can do, the Chinese can do it better and cheaper.
Not needed anymore when the new iPhone becomes just an app on the old model.
iDontGiveAFuck
I have a Z30 on order from BB. I have had the same android phone for years and reached the point where I did a factory reset and never gave it a gmail account. It is basically a phone and a browser. I am very disappointed how privacy and control are handled (no way I would touch an iPhone).
My opinion is that if I pay cash for the device (I did) and I pay for my service (I do) then my device should not be crippled because I prefer not to be tracked/logged/marketed.
I may not like the Z30, but it looks to be a much more sercure device than the competition.
Regards,
Cooter
Ditto!
iDitto.
Improved.
I have a Z30. It is a monster.
I have no phone of any kind, and my phone's better than yours.
Apple sucks and Samsung rocks. That's the main problem in a nutshell. The Galaxy is so much better than an I-phone.
I got a Z10 unlocked from BlackBerry running 10.3 and it's the best phone I've ever had.
I trust you're not putting any naked selfies in the I-Cloud.
I really doubt the cloud needs forty year old redneck male selfies!
Oh, I forgot to mention that even a CALENDAR isn't available on my android phone ... unless I give it a gmail account. This is the best example of why I am attempting a switch.
Regards,
Cooter
Yes the Calendar with an account only.. Things that make you think......Go Fuck yourself you perving peeps, your not living in my World and stay the fuck away from my personal life.
Back to Paper soon
I just checked.... gofuckyourself@gmail.com is not available
"I really doubt the cloud needs forty year old redneck male selfies!"
FACT: the "cloud" ...when it was DARPAnet...was all porn...mostly "kiddie porn"...
graphics files (prior to smaller file sized video formats) were the largest files to use for testing the network for congestion....
...add military personnel....and voila!
....I'm sure they were all "good Christians" too......
Anyone else here ever logon and use DARPAnet...before it became ARPANET...then the "internet"?
As well, the idea of "cloud services" came from IBM...just another euphemism for "client-server" architecture for serving applictions and keeping storage on the server side...BFD....from a network perspective, it was stupid in 1960...and it is stupid now....
...it is still the attempt to justify "central computing" for Big Brother...instead of "distributed architecture" (aka "freedom")....same for the Electric Power industry....wake up everyone!
"....Anyone else here ever logon and use DARPAnet...before it became ARPANET...then the "internet"? ..."
Yep, me. I was a programmer writing code to support it for the various intelligence organizations I worked at.
And I couldnt agree with you more about the "cloud" simply being a re-invention of the old time sharing stuff you and I used to do with mainframes.
"stuff you and I used to do with mainframes."
SIOP...the kiddies here think the world was born with html....they type "/" all day long not knowing it's significance....
First computer I saw was a UNIVAC (Travis AFB)...5 city blocks of warehouses full of vacuum tubes...the heat was insane....they had 4 megawatt generators running it...only calculated rudimentary vectors for C-5 traffic....
Of course, black ops had the "real" computers then....
From Paul Brody , Vice President , IBM:
"Today, IBM is developing an entirely new architecture that enables a full range of computing capabilities in a distributed model. Unlike past approaches to distributed computing, this one does not depend on knowing or trusting every node in the network — a practical impossibility with billions of devices to be placed in millions of locations.
The core of this new approach is built upon the Block Chain, a model of distributed computing leveraging the architecture of BitCoin (without the financial component). Using the Block Chain we can implement the typical transaction processing work done by centralized data centers without any of the cost associated with those systems by using compute power generated by individual devices that would, in most cases, go to waste."
From Richard Brown , Chief Systems Architect , IBM:

You might want to look into "side-loading" apps. I have a kindle and even though it doesn't play nice with Google, you can usually find the naked APK and install it without the Play Store... (not that Amazon is any kind of privacy powerhouse....)
Have you been to Tumblr? The question is who is left that does not have a naked selfie out there.
me.
why?
because....you can't handle the Truth™
The Z30 is an absolute beast.
Untill they outdate everyones 4&5 then make you buy the 6 which pissed me off i have a perfectly good old i pad 1 and i phone 3 that because apple decided no more updates I had to buy a new so my i pad mini and my 5 is my ladt game over apple just do it
Yup. Apple relegated those iPad 1s to becoming very large iPods. I can't imagine why anyone would buy a Mini after getting screwed like that.
'mericans often times comment on the "cheap Chinese chit" that they buy at walmarts/targets.
Imagine the price that they will have to pay for the quality stuff after the "Homeland Cheap Chit Protests" are settled.
Inflation? Let me show you inflation my brothas....
"unfucking believable".
Jeebus are those people stoopid!
I agree and would only like to add "imagine the price they will have to pay to pay for the fuel to ship it back over here". If you think things are expensive now, just wait...
Here is how I is waiting: "buying gold everything". And not the retail gold that you 'mericans have to buy at a premium with a complete IRS alarm statement required...
Thank you.
Anything you can do, the Chinese can do it better and cheaper.
Isn't that how Apple operates now. Except for the better part since Jobs died so did innovation and cheaper part well to improve their profits not the price of the units. I thought the Cupertino corporate headquarters was just to keep up appearances of being an American corporation and provide some silcon valley hipster types a place to hang out during the day so they clog up the streets like homeless people.
"Isn't that how Apple operates now."
Exactly....and that is why they became "Wall St's darling".....
Same bankster formula that Apple resisted for so long...then Jobs caved....
Ship manufacturing overseas, use PC hardware and keep the industrial design they're famous for...
The only good thing to come out of it from a "consumer" perspective, is that I have half a dozen, screaming i7 Macs with screaming graphics cards ...all sub $1000 each!
An equivalent PC (which I also built) costs more....so, if price is the same...why bother with the constant security issues and running utilities all day long just to be able to send an email....
Not to mention the constant Service Packs (a feature, I know...) and hodge-podge crap all piled on top of 24-bit "BIOS"...barf....
Windows barely even still makes use of EFI....Intel's long touted big reason to stay with Windows...
OS X has been EFI since 2006...and Intel admits that Apple implemented the architecture better than any other OS...
Rome never "fell"....it just faded away....
False dichotomy, you could aslo run Linux. In fact most internet websites and even banks use it for back end now. I can't believe your serious about saying "Mac" is better value than a PC with Linux. In any event Mac OS is just re-badged Free-BSD, another Unix variant, except it has a bunch of "ringfence" the customer, DRM crap on it.
I'll give you cheaper....
"Anything you can do, the Chinese can do it better and cheaper."
hey genius....Apple makes their products in "China"...while Samsung is "Korean"...but your the Expert!
They make all the iPhones already.
It's a maturing market that reached global saturation 2 years ago.
You don't buy AAPL for the growth any more, you buy for the buybacks.
Apple are creaming their position as market leader and hosing their equity holders with redistributed profits.
Sooner or later someone will knock them off the top. Lot could come at any time, a competitor product could make phones obsolete or the market could simply shift underneath them. Or there could be an all consuming scandal of some kind.
When any company become market leader they stop being disruptive and start working to protect the status quo.
Yeah, I remember when Lucent plunged from 77 down to 12 when the world suddenly woke up and noticed we have about 5x the amount of cable we actually needed. Talk about saturation; everyone and his kid brother was making, selling, marketing cable stuff.
"we have about 5x the amount of cable we actually needed."
"needed"???
Yeah...the RBOCs had nothing to do with it....
Nor did they have anything to do with the "G-lite" standard....(look it up, kiddo)...."a...symetrical" v. "symetrical"...why would that be a contentious idea....netboy?
And lastly, they certainly put the kabosh on the Telcom movement to make the PSTN (public domain)...since the tax payers funded it's development over 50 years and have paid for it 200 times over....correction: still paying for it.....
Yeah, you "expertly" identified it was all about "supply and demand"....not bankster MONOPOLY...
Everyone: "WORLDCOM ROCKS, BREAK! [back to the huddle]
If they fix the battery life and overheating of this POS 5s I got they might have something.
Apple: beautiful on the outside, rotten on the inside.
Saving this, and sending it to my tech analyst. Sometimes ZH still produces gems, this is one of them.
Money is in the markets now. Not the hardware. Market share means everything now.
"Market share means everything now."
Exactly....everyone makes shit...and sheeple buy the hype....worked for me....
+1
No, no, no .... a Bigger iPhone is a BIGGER iPhone
bigger is better! (except during the phase when they were selling smaller is better).
and that's what sold the i-crap, i-pods (and their i-tunes) because it was much smaller than a walkman.
and yes, we did go through those phases and came back full circle.
memories are short.
I want a REALLY big phone. I think they call them "phablets". It looks kind of stupid holding something about the size of a kid's chalk board up to your head, but at least I can READ all the words on the screen without reaching for my glasses.
Big phones are like books in XL print for people like me. REALLY dorky, but necessary, unfortunately.
Man, i want a really big phone like a phone booth, with a folding door and that funky smell and everything.
"I want a REALLY big phone."
I want the "iHeadSet"....part construction helmet...with an LED 42" TV strapped to it....
...it displays "your view" of the world as you stoll down the street.....while intermittantly flashing "selfies" from the extenion arm cam....and "Top 10 Google searches" to comfort the sheeple by letting them see that they are all safetly...still stupid...
Maybe I'll write a boombox app for the phablet. It'll be like the old days, late '70s early 80's, when bigger was better and kids walked down the street with a 30lb radio the size of small suitcase on their shoulder. Turn the bass to 11 and hit the super bass button for extra vibration.
A lot of those old boomboxes sell for big bucks on eBay, especially the fancy JVC models. MonoPrice is selling a Bluetooth speaker that looks like a boombox.
http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=108&cp_id=10823&cs_id=1082705&p_id...
monoprice makes some good stuff. i've got a pair of ~$25 headphones here and they're pretty tight-sounding; not too much bass and decent clarity in the highs. their mics are some of the best for a low price.
I want a phone big enough to water ski on.
"No, no, no .... a Bigger iPhone is a BIGGER iPhone"
...the volume goes to "11".......!
The really big version is called the iPad.
"The really big version is called the iPad."
No, goofy...that is Apple's feminine hygiene product....duh!
So Close: It's,"innovate", not, 'invoate'.
He said "inovate" not "invoate". Perhaps you, also, are not perfect?
I am not perfect, but I really do support literecy as much as I am able as this skill in depreciating quickly in our modern world.
Do you support literacy too? This is a forum for miscreants FFS. Lighten up.
Free Francis Sawyer.
Its literacy.
Jus sayin ;-)
It's it's ;)) just saying :)
"It's it's ;)) just saying :)"
classic! +100
Perfection arrives and then you start sharting your underpants.... Oh well.
I don't necesarily need some new gimmic of a feature, but if they can make a new battery that either lasts a lot longer or charges up super fast or both, a glass that will not scratch or break, and offer REAL storage by default, like 128GB+ (+microSD) I'd consider maybe buying one again (currently on a Galaxy Note II).
I dont get it when people are talking about innovations within the cellphones.
Is it a innovation that the largest company in the world by marketvalue puts in a fingerprint reader to scan all its users fingerprints?
Somehow I feel anyone, even the least intelligent could have come up with that. Innovation would be creating the first fingerprint reader, but fingerprint readers have been around for many many years. They didnt even develop their own, just bought it straight of the shelfs and implemented it. Magic. lol.
probably not. but not helping nonetheless.. http://hedgeaccording.ly/2014/09/david-tepper-its-the-beginning-of-the-e...
Sony experia's selling for 100 euro's which kids can actually afford and which are pretty damn good, good looking and with a awesome camera?
And the iphones are nothing more than look alikes of Scary Movie 6?
And if 100 euro's is still to much, go to tinydeal.com
Free shipping on everything
Maybe selling overpriced ghey shit to Fan-Boi's is a business model that ran it's course?
Just a guess.
+1 for the comment (with which I agree) but I remain wary about use of the word "ghey." In this context, however, it does seem to fit.
You should clean that mirror with some Windex. It'll be all better after that. OH!!
The last innovation they had was the iPad and all of the tablet market share that came with it.
Now they release the same bullshit with marginal specs.
iDon'tcare
Porno mags went tits up when porno became free. That is the lesson here.
And people realized that low-quality porn still gets the (hand) job done.
Thanks for breaking it down so I could understand it!
Trading users privacy to the NSA for Samsung innovation secrets has isolated Apple from developing markets. All future sales were supposed to happen in China and India and foreign markets have decided to go their own way and develope their own hardware. The US tech sector shot itself in the head with a nail gun when it decided to team up with Big Brother.
Wait til the latino drug gangs of East Palo Alto start rampaging through Atherton and other upsale areas of Silly Con Valley. They voted for this and are 100% responsible with their shit spy ware.
Silly Con Valley if F'ed'ed.
It's a good thing a larger Apple phone screen is coming out. You won't have to use opera glasses to watch the ending of show.
or the starlets having sex in the videos that got stolen with the pictures.....
and the "i" stands for ?
Idiot
crApple will soon be releasing the ophone 2 , comes complete with a week's supply of foodstamps.
Later they plan on the aphone 1
Sent from my shitePhone.
iDoubt this is the end of Apple. They haven't finished their spaceship yet.
Oddly I remember Enron Stadium. When companies start to do shit like this it is time to sell.
I'm fairly certain they can hang on for two years until iSpaceship 6.66 is complete.
Hah, like the beam up rings in Stargate
I don't watch Hollywood's shit or their TV but saw online the stuff about Elysium. Apple HQ reminds me of that where the elites of tech work.
I knew some people who had friends working there and high end programmers etc. Apple is really liberal like most of Silicon Valley. Reality is coming soon. The rest of the world is moving away from Silly Con Valley's spy crap. If Russia and China really get going then forget about Silly Con Valley.
Apple better try to clone Steve Jobs soon.
Is it true that Apple diehards think that thing can fly?
If not, it's just a colosseum for the games.
Since it's in the Bay Area - mebbe the Alternative Lifestylers will stop hogging the Men's Rooms abused by their "Mid Day Socials"; and desecrate the Bldg by making a Daisy Chain on each Floor.
No likey? Then keep it outside of Work Hours and Work Locations. Get a Room or Go Home!!!
I'm waiting in line for ispaceship 6.66 as we speak. Am i too early?
Re the iSpaceship - in two years California will not have any green trees ...change that landscaping to cactus...
Boraxo works better than Ajax! Hey for all the uninformed people out there......... California vegitation, prior to the all the peoplesssssssssss, was adapted to an arid climate (not a lot of rain). Millions of acres of non-indiginous plants have been put into the ground without regard to what kind of plant thrives in California. Now that all the peoplessssss are using(wasting) water, the non-indiginous plants will suffer. The plants that belong in California, will continue to thrive.
Didn't Sears build them a nice big tower in Chicago?
I mentioned something like that yesterday here. When companies build these monument HQ's then it is the beginning of the end. Ditto when they sponsor a stadium like Enron Field. Not all of them but it usually is a bad omen. Borland Software imploded after it built a $120 million HQ back in the early 1990s. It sold recently for $12 million and Borland is long gone. Prime spot in Scotts Valley, CA too.
Exactly the same thing Isaac Newton wondered about. Only back then, fundamentals and physics still mattered.
Personal information technology is more or less fully developed.
Marketing will be where the majority of new "innovation" comes from.
Tell that to Skynet.
Kinda like the PC and the Buggy Whip.
Hey, I love your new Buggy Whip 8! It matches your panties.
Link to the image please. :-)
+1
Hey, I love your new Buggy Whip 8! It matches your panties.
So far this is the best joke/line of the week for me. Funny as hell.
They are developing the aphone1 as we speak.
Sent from my shitePhone.
you think Jeniffer Lawrence is going to be lining up for the iPhone 6? Celebrities will be avoiding these products
Remember the famous Selfie from the Oscars? I bet every one in that photo was an Apple Fag, I bet they all regret not actually keeping that free Galaxy 5S from the gift bag.
that was a promo stunt by guess who...
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/samsung-marketing-chief-tells-stor...
You think Samsung, Sony, HTC and the rest of them are safe from NSA spying?
Android is NSA tool #1...
It's all the same shit. Get off the grid and they can still locate you in 3,2,1...
Samsung? duhh.. point is all those tools in the picture had an iPhone stuck so far up their ass theyve never bothered to give other phones a chance.. there are people to this day that dont realize you can "browse facebook on a product other than Apple". HTC One, Moto X+1, Galaxy 5S all comparable alternatives -at least to Iphone and less expensive
Well don't you think that she might be lining up her twat for a picture from one? The latest pixel count on the iCumera should be able to split pubic hair follicles, maybe even find the DNA of anyone that's been playing there.......
The new phones will have more internal space for NSA devices. I'm ready to go back to my basic flip phone. And the battery in my old phone lasted TWO days! Imagine that!
Cell phone free for one year.
The first step is to admit...that you never needed one in the first place.
Pre cell phone there was, PAGER. Pre pager there was, LAND LINE. Pre land line there was, wait till they get home.
The only way to get a message to me today, guaranteed, is, wait till I get home. None of the other choices has ever been successful.
i'm ready to go back to answering machines. i dialed in from a pay phone, hit a small code and got the messages. for the most part, if i wanted to be with you, or hear from you, i was with you. and, then, i guess i didn't need to see any pictures of you, or tweets from you.
am i really retarded? no. but i have self-confidence and friends.
if i did not know where i was, and did not have a map, i could ask somebody. sure, i got lost, but if i was on a highway in the middle of nowhere and didn't
know what direction i was going in, i usually had an idea what time it was and could look at the sun or the moon and get an idea of the direction.
and if not, i was probably tripping or totally wasted, so it didn't really matter where i was going to end up, as long as it was away from trouble :)
and it didn't matter much whether i or we were alone, because that was the fact, and we had to deal with it.
having the opportunity to turn on what is basically a t.v. at anytime anywhere doesn't help people.
etc.
it was bad enough that many people were and are stupid. i-crap only furthers and supports it.
The battery lasts 2 days on my Iphone 4. And it makes phone calls too!
What the hell do I need a new Iphone for? Especially one with a shorter battery life?
Wait in line for days so the media can take photos of ya.
Because it's every American's patriotic duty to upgrade their phones.
You do love this country, don't you?
Made in China.
iMerican 'citizenism' at its finest!
2 days, really?
But you must have it turned off or something ;)
Anyone I know with an ineedtochargemyphone is charging every 24 hours or less and gets nervous if they aren't in arms reach of their charger cord and an plug.
Tim Cook is hoping Steve Jobs comes back from the dead and saves the company.
the ICloud wasn't hacked, just some sleazy director's collection of starlets he snapped was hacked, these Hollywood broads pass out nude pics like business cards
If it wasn't hacked then how come Apple rush-patched it?
Brute-force cracking can be stopped using a lockout after X tries but there was unlimited tries. That's on the iCloud server-side.
What do you need a phone to do? Ok, make and receive calls, check, Look at email, check. Beyond that the most popular WORKING app is the flashlight. Google maps and navagation are helpful. Then what? Clock? Compass? Timer? Camera? Big deal.
Folks are seeing that the new phone really does nothing new in a productive way. Heart monitor? So what?
Have you seen the picture of me sending out nail guns?
What?
dude.
not really a techie, eh?
Extreme techie here.
Always using Linux, have 3 computers in easy reach right now.
No smartphone. What's smart is not to have one. They are over-priced & cause more harm than good to me.
I'll never have one. Basic flip phone with text, voice & email. The rest is bunk.
MDB, do you still do your charting for stocks and indices? I remember you had some great graphs where the prices were constrained between two logarithmic curves.
What version of Linux do you use? I use Ubuntu.
I do. The both-log indeces chart I did last was time vs gold, finding a repeating pattern.
http://imgur.com/qXy0cxo,QuOILO8
The most recent chart I did was HUM vs SPY (Humana) http://imgur.com/TQwVbfg
My Linux is Mint 13 which is Ubuntu 12.04 if I remember correctly.
I have the Mint 17 ISO but haven't installed it. I just keep my packages up to date & check for the notes in the changelogs to ensure something needs a change or ought to be left alone.
It's not a phone, it's a handheld computer with a phone function.
ifunny...
Yeah, right, it's just Apple that has a problem. There's no privacy in our connected world..anything can be hacked.
It's up to you to be very careful what you put in the "cloud" whether it's Apples cloud, Googles cloud, Microsoft's cloud..every IT firm out there uses cloud based solutions now morons.
Never used icloud or any other cloud, never will under any circumstances. Never believed for a second it was safe from hackers, let alone goverments. Nothing connected to the net is safe but some things are give aways. Like facebook. Icloud is but facebook for the exclusive viewing of hackers and spooks full of private information posted by naive sheep.
s/cloud/crowd/g
Yes the clouds can be hacked but the administrators already have the passwords and the access. How much do they make a year? How much can they make selling pictures? How much can they make selling designs? During an election year, how much can they make selling political strategies to an opponent?
Meh, I'm still rooting for one of the only American tech companies left. Still lots of talent and lots of cash at Apple, although I hope the price keeps being shoved down...
just... watch who buys in large amounts in the next 5/6 weeks. Maybe, of course, no one.
One thing - the itunes app needs serious revision. slow, clunky, and more intrusive than it needs to be, bitches.
Also - Samsung is going to work with Apple in China and India. Never doubt the South Koreans dislike of the Chinese.
Why can NSA never find, you know, hackers and Wall Street crooks and Israeli spies, would you say? Seriously - I have no idea.
Apple I (insert) is the genius of a water company called Evian. Spelled backwards, Naive. You cannot bring your chosen water through TSA. The Jews decide to craft the current branding and mark cost up beyond comprehension.
It won't be long until they get carpet bombed and recreate anti semantic actions over the new monetary blow up of mis-managed ledger accounting over Federal Reserve Quantitative Easing policies.
No more cough medicine for you, Atomizer...
Tony, is that you?
I believe you've upgraded from cough medicine to Oxycontin.....Bravo!
Thanks for the good laugh. One scottish mate to the other. Need a good beating sometimes, I'm not always 100% correct.
Bless your heart in proudly sporting our flag. My other is the American flag. We hang ours below in the states. Customary
This is what all this weak shit, very gay "I" marketing bullshit has turned into ,,,straight outta the "nations finest city" You cant make this shit up...

Those nice apple pics
Apple the new Motorola
They're just some Dice jokes that I picked up on a visit to USSA a few yeas ago. Don't get bent.
Anything followed with "OH!!" is a Dice joke.
My latest phone only cost $10, and I can take the battery out so they can't track me.
Motorola used to make a good phone. Never had an iphone, nor an ipad, but my girls love them. Got the insurance for the fancy ipad.
The MotoG LTE can be had for $150 unlocked and is far superior to the iPhone 5c.
Yes apple lost 5 percent because a dozen photos of some women naked were posted on the web. That makes sense. 50 percent of the internet is porn. If anything is should be increasing based on internet fundamentals with the exception of the unprivate side of the internet facebook - the most positive webpage around.
Ok time to waste some water and dump some ice on my head.
Idiot.
Every one of those 100 women is rich & famous, has an army of lawyers & has cult following from their fans.
When they attack Apple & win, even emotionally, their customers drop Apple & it turns to dust.
D-Day: Hey, quit your blubberin'. When I get through with this baby you won't even recognize it.
Otter: Flounder, you can't spend your whole life worrying about your mistakes! You fucked up... you trusted us! Hey, make the best of it! Maybe we can help.
Flounder: [crying] That's easy for you to say! What am I going to tell Fred?
Otter: I'll tell you what. We'll tell Fred you were doing a great job taking care of his car, but you parked it out back last night and this morning... it was gone. We report it as stolen to the police. D-Day takes care of the wreck. Your brother's insurance company buys him a new car.
Flounder: Will that work?
Otter: Hey, it's gotta work better than the truth.
Bluto: [thrusting six-pack into Flounder's hands] My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.
Otter: Better listen to him, Flounder, he's in pre-med.
D-Day: [firing up blow-torch] There you go now, just leave everything to me.
Goldilocks
up arrow X 10000000000000000
We could learn a lot from that movie!
giogioorwell: It's up to you to be very careful what you put in the "cloud" whether it's Apples cloud, Googles cloud, Microsoft's cloud..every IT firm out there uses cloud based solutions now morons.
The only "cloud" I deal with it the occasional reverse burp in the bathroom. Sometimes loose chunks come out. No reason to pay for a ifagcloud. you see?
Nerve gas for sure.
I have a SSD, no need for a NSA approved cloud.
Amen Duc888, anything on a network is already compromised.
lotsoffun:i'm ready to go back to answering machines.
Fuck yea, just bought me two of these!
