We are not exactly sure why Obama would be "noticeably absent" from the start of this week's NATO-Ukraine commission (from The Hill):
President Obama was nowhere to be found during the beginning of a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine commission in Wales on Thursday.
Obama was "noticeably absent" from the start of the meeting, according to a White House pool report, although U.S. Ambassador to NATO Douglas Lute was in attendance.

Some of those paymasters are the guys who could kill him without much effort, CIA, secret service, FBI, etc. He is in far more personal danger from those entities than he is all the pissed-off citiznes in the US.
You should have more sympathy for Barry, lots of us have gotten into jobs over our heads at some point in our lives. No human could do what the US Presidency requires, especially given an unchanging and unchangable bureaucracy that has the power. Clapper is still an embarassment to the administration, goes on lying from his position in the bureaucracy. Ditto FBI head, ATF head, CIA head, and on and on. Barry has no power, he can only write executive orders they let him write.
Add in all the treaties and laws and bureaucratic fiefdoms and conflicting intrests of the ruling classes and the governments they own, be glad he isn't really crazy. He hasn't yet started as many wars as Shrub did.
