Congresswoman: "I'm Glad People Have This 9/11 Mentality Again"

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

In the wake of non-stop propaganda from politicians of both parties, as well as a mainstream media desperate for ratings, the American public is finally terrified enough to support another war in the Middle East. This is an unfortunate development I lamented in yesterday’s post: The American Public: A Tough Soldier or a Chicken Hawk Cowering in a Cubicle? Some Thoughts on ISIS Intervention.

With just 6% of likely U.S. voters thinking Congress is doing a good or excellent job according to a recent Rasmussen poll, it’s no surprise to see so many of these corrupt clowns falling over one another to appear tough on ISIS, using myriad hyperbolic and Orwellian statements.

Let’s start with Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) who decided to see if she could take crazy to a whole other level:

“There’s been no pushback against the Islamic State and they have made breathtaking advances. We haven’t seen anything like this since Hitler and the blitzkrieg in World War II

The Islamic State have declared war against the infidel, they have declared war against the U.S.”

Well Rep. Bachmann, perhaps ISIS wouldn’t be so successful if not for our allies funding it, in addition to its use of U.S. military hardware. But of course those arms must’ve just immaculately conceived themselves out of thin air in the desserts of Mesopotamia.

You think that’s bad, how about this one from Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Middle East and North Africa:

“I’m glad people have this 9/11 mentality again.”

This brings up a whole host of followup questions. Why is she glad that people have this 9/11 mentality again? I can’t think of a single positive trend that has happened within the U.S. since September 11, 2001. However, I can think of several awful trends. Let’s name a few:

1) The destruction of the middle class amid a horrible economy.

2) The shredding of the Constitution in the name of security, yet the intelligence services have stopped zero terrorist attacks with all their invasive spying since 9/11.

3) The militarization of the domestic police force.

4) Enormous expansion of our national debt to fund an imperial military presence overseas.

5) Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dead human beings overseas and several countries destroyed beyond recognition (Iraq and Libya) in order to win a “war on terror,” which 13 years later is obviously no closer to being won.

Shall I go on?

But sure, I can see how an environment of fear is in the best interest of corrupt politicians with a 6% approval rating.

Just so you know, the generals behind the War On Weather/Climate Change have no intention of ever bringing that to an end one way or the other either.

Of course she's glad that people have a 9-11 mentality again, because the Red Menace has been dead for decades.  The Cold War gave TPTB the ultimate boogie man.  How many of us participated in under-the-desk drills at school?  That was the ultimate exercise in school-sponsored propaganda.  TPTB needed to fill that vacuum, so enter the wild-eyed, knife- and gun- and C4-wielding Arab terrrrist, who is so much skeerier than a Russian because they wear bedsheets and towels instead of shirts and pants.

Think about how much the Cold War did for the MIC, the aerospace industry, Hollywood and popular culture.  Think about how much TPTB made from that farce.  So all these warmongering fucktards in Congress of course want to get in on that action.

"Well Rep. Bachmann, perhaps ISIS wouldn’t be so successful if not for our allies funding it, in addition to its use of U.S. military hardware."

Don't be naive, Krieger.  The US is totally funding this whole steaming sack of shit, in addition to supplying it.

Every one of these Congresswhores has military contractors in their district. The contractors have been wearing  a path in their particular Congresswhore's carpet.

It is stunning how cheaply the congresswhores sell themselves.

The shia vs. Sunni dustup has been going on for 1400+ years, and the real tribal wars in the Middle East have been going on for 5000 years. We have no fucking business there whatsoever.

The Kenyan is keeping the US Southern border wide open to ISIS, and ordering our totally demoralized Border Patrol to give them box lunches, bus tickets, and blow jobs. Yet now he wants to bomb ISIS into the stone age (which they are, ironically, already in) back in the Middle East. He's going to kill a million more civilians in the process. History is going to be very, very unkind to the golfing Kenyan.

There will be no history.  Writing anything critical of any administration will be grounds for civil forfeiture of all assets and emergency mental evaluations at undisclosed locations.

looking further into the story, it seems the news report you link to was irresponsible in their reporting, as it had almost nothing to do with the books he had written. There is more to the story. The guy was involved with an underage person, had sent a letter to someone in the school district that caused some concern, and apparently built a model of school buildings, for what reason, I don't know. There is MUCH more to the story than is covered in the link you provide. From what I can tell, its a good thing authorities were looking into this matter. The guy has some issues.

Please..  share some links about the underage person.  And this "letter"?  What did it say?  You don't think the cops aren't coming up any justification they can after all the attention they've gotten?

Well, I'm no cheerleader for over reaching authority, but when someone is signaling that they are going to be trouble, I expect it to be taken care of by those who are paid with my taxes to do so, and not just sit around munchin doughnuts, waiting to write me traffic citations.

This link ( http://www.stardem.com/easternshore/news/dorchester_county/article_47f06... ) was provided in the comments section of the source you provided, where it seems many other commenters were hip to it as well.

As you are likely aware, most of the real news is buried in the comment sections

I'll be the one to protect you from
Your enemies and all your demons
I'll be the one to protect you from
A will to survive and a voice of reason
I'll be the one to protect you from

Isolate and save you from yourself

be safe people, these NWO types have ZERO allegiance with the American people (although they hold US passports). In fact, they hold contempt for humanity and they will do everything so they achieve their NWO (Unipolar world according to Putin). Its real, not some conspiracy theory.

From the Ukraine, Russia, EU and US farce, if you put a NWO template on it, everything makes sense. The EU Bureaucrats for the the NWO, DC Fascists for the NWO and the Ukraine criminals are pawns for the NWO. Sanction makes no sense if you view them individually from a EU country to country basis (destruction of their economies) and the US is imploding with its own sanctions and policies (oh...Fed NWO directors whilst the BOE is the real power center). Only in NWO scenario does it make sense. Merge EU with US (both destroyed states) and then you have the Western world as the NWO (half complete), with only the East to finish off over the next 50 years.

These criminals are patient, so whats another 50years to complete utter global dominance.

95 percent of casualties in the American Middle East war of terrorism are civilians, The Congress critter traitors to our democracy and country that perpetrated lies for war are war criminals. Not one of the Congress murders are worth a single child that they murdered. Only one Congress critter that voted “no” on the Iraq war does not have blood on their hands.

Our country is ruled by a fascist criminal totalitarian cartel of murderers and liars that corrupted Congress critters with bribes and coercion,  they are not above genocide of the American People; remember 9/11?

History tells us that once a democracy is overthrown by a criminal fascist cartel, it takes a revolution from the people to regain their democracy and capitalism economy.

Make a list and scream: No more! Hang the criminals for Treason! Repudiate bankster debt!

Please People, peaceful protest with a strong message for Justice

A Congress critters worst nightmare is a crowd of protesters that want them tried for treason and if found guilty to be hanged. They know they are guilty and a protest would scare the hell out of them.

There can be peaceful protest, even protection from provocateurs, demanding Justice. The whole idea of Justice is to prevent violence.

Unfortunately, brainwashed uneducated Americans will all charge off in different directions instead of addressing the real problem.

Ros-Lehtinen was raised Catholic and is now an Episcopalian.[5][6] Ros-Lehtinen's maternal grandparents were Sephardic Jews, originally from theOttoman Empire, who had been active in Cuba's Jewish community.[7] Her maternal grandfather left the city of K?rklareli for Cuba in 1913, fleeing the devastation and economic collapse caused by the First Balkan War.[8] Her mother later converted to Catholicism to marry her father.[7][9]

Not in the military, never have been, so I can't say I understand the mindset. But it seems to me that, at least at the higher levels (Maj-Gen), they have to be fairly intelligent and knowledgeable people, especially when it comes to history and geo-politics. As such, most of them should be fully aware that their civilian leaders are complete lunatics. They have studied history and should, therefore, know that our foreign policy is completely stark raving mad.

My question is; at what point do they get together and say, enough? They swear an oath to uphold the constitution and they must know that everything the modern military is doing is blatantly unconstitutional. So again; when do they say enough? I have to believe that these types of discussions go on in their ranks. But maybe I give them too much credit. Or, perhaps the lure of promotion and a cushy retirement package is simply too alluring.
