Poroshenko Tells US Congress "Russia Has Invaded Ukraine, Need Lethal Aid" - Live Feed
In a passionate speech to a joint meeting of Congress, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko dropped some tape-bombs:

Supported by rounds of applause by US politicians, Poroshenko called for the US solidarity and to lead the offensive against Russia as they "fan the flames of war." Stocks dipped (but recovered) though PMs are higher still.

As The FT notes, Ukrainian industrial production slumped 12.7 per cent in August (and 21.7% YoY), underscoring the immense challenges facing the country's economy and the mounting risks for the $17bn International Monetary Fund programme.

Day after day we are fed a relentless stream of accusations that Russia has already invaded Ukraine and is now about to invade Europe. Yet the accusers from Eboma-to-Cameron-to-Poroshenko never produce one shred of credible evidence to support their allegations. Surely if Russia was about to invade Europe, somebody there would be making war preparations. I see none of that.
It's like Poroshenko & his puppet-masters are playing a video game or taking too much LSD. Nothing is real. It's all fantasy.
The new face of Russian aggression in Ukraine: there are no actual invasions, no physical tanks, no physical planes bombing anybody, no troops with boots crossing borders. Just political statements of imaginary events. And Poroshenko needs lethal weapons support from the USG to fend it all off.
Hey Smacker, The reason there is no evidence is that the Russians during the USSR days built deep, deep, underground tunnel networks across the border and all over the Ukraine to move military hardware. So, not even US spy satellites can pick up the 50,000 Russian troops 10,000 tanks and artillery pieces that enter normal warehouses thousands of miles away and then secretly pop up all over the Ukraine and kick the shit of of their troops then just disappear back into the their holes!

In the old days, the King spent his wealth to defend his right to rape and pillage his people. Poroshenko should spend his $billions, especially as his media and energy holdings will be the first to be naitonalized should he lose.
