FBI, DHS Go Full Scaremonger: Warn Police Of Airstrike-Inspired "Homegrown Extremists" & "Disgruntled Employee" Threats
While careful to note 'no specific threats' have been found, it appears the FBI and DHS have decided it's time to show why local police departments needed to be fully militarized after all. In the first bulletin, according to Bloomberg, US security officials warned federal and local police to watch for “homegrown violent extremists” who may be motivated to attack by airstrikes in Syria. In the second bulletin, the FBI and DHS assess that disgruntled and former employees pose a significant threat to US businesses due to their authorized access to sensitive information and the networks businesses rely on (no doubt inspired by today's dreadful occurrences at UPS in Birmingham). It's just a good thing all those local police forces have MRAPs, don't you feel safer already? However, don't forget, as The UK made clear, the definition of terrorist is a tricky one since even viewing ISIS propaganda constitutes a criminal offense.

It would appear so (as Bloomberg reports), as while the FBI, DHS didn’t offer details on possible threats, U.S. airstrikes in Syria may inspire terrorist plots, according to joint bulletin from Homeland Security Dept and FBI obtained by Bloomberg News...
U.S security officials warned federal and local police to watch for “homegrown violent extremists” who may be motivated to attack by airstrikes in Syria.
The Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation issued a joint intelligence bulletin today in which they said the strikes “may have temporarily disrupted attack plotting” by the Khorasan group, a militant network that includes former members of al-Qaeda.
An attack by that group and by the Islamic State, both of which were the targets in last night’s strikes, “are less likely near-term” though “plotting by these groups may accelerate,” according to the bulletin.
The alert, obtained by Bloomberg News, addresses no specific plots and encourages police to alert federal authorities of suspicious activity.
The U.S.-led airstrikes hit targets in Iraq and, for the first time, in Syria. U.S. officials said Khorasan has emerged in recent weeks as a more immediate threat to the U.S. than Islamic State.

If we want to stop radical terrorists from operating in Syria and Iraq, how about telling our ally Saudi Arabia to stop funding and training them? For that matter, how about the US government stops arming and training the various rebel groups in Syria and finally ends its 24 year US war on Iraq.
There are 200 million people bordering the countries where ISIS is currently operating. They are the ones facing the threat of ISIS activity and expansion. Let them fight their own war, rather than turning the US military into the mercenary army of wealthy Gulf states. Remember, they come over here because we are over there. It may surprise you to hear this, but according to federal law most men either are, or were a member of a militia. According to Federal law as enacted in the Dick Act of 1903:
TITLE 10–ARMED FORCES
Subtitle A–General Military Law
PART I–ORGANIZATION AND GENERAL MILITARY POWERS
CHAPTER 13–THE MILITIA
Sec. 311. Militia: composition and classes
(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female
citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are–
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia;
and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.
…every man aged 17-44 is automatically a member of the unorganized militia unless they do something to either make themselves formally organized or exclude themselves. Considering anti-discrimination laws women and or those older than 44 should nominally have the right to participate in an unorganized militia by choice.
Arming oneself with a suitable militarily functional firearm to be ready for call-up as needed as a member of a militia was considered an explicit requirement until 19036. Considering the need for a militia may transcend the ability of Federal or State authorities to arm militias it is darn near a patriotic duty to be ready to defend ones homes and neighbors if the need should arise.
While most think of militias in either the traditional sense of minute-men, or the modern media sense of “evil” para-militaries, there is a much more common sense ideal. Theoretically any group who bands together to defend themselves against outside agression or common threat is part of a militia. Among other possibilities this can mean organizing into a neighborhood watch to defend against crime, acting as an armed guard in your neighborhood after a natural disaster1, or defending ones home or business from a riot2.
While a firearm is the de-facto most efficient way for an individual to excercise their natural right to defend themself or others, firearms are not 100% necessary to perform that right of self defense. On September 11th 2001 many of the passengers of Flight 93 banded together to fight a common enemy which threatened not only their own lives, but their nation. This was essentially the creation of an impromptu militia3. Imagine what might have happened if Federal Law had not unconstitutionally prohibited citizens from carrying firearms on airplanes.

Militias are considered a branch of the Armed Forces though no one will ever give it any credence since when has any of these gun rights folks bothered to challenge laws like Safe Act using the Dick Act as the basis for it being declared illegal because since citizens (males 17-44) are all members of the armed forces by law as the unorganized militias that the law deprives militias from being well regulated aka properly armed like the organized militias because of the laws.

They aren't making a mistake. They are telling you everything about themselves that you need to know to make your own choice in what is coming in the near future. You should actually be thanking them for identifying themselves for what they are and who they serve. And also thank them for giving you advanced notice to decide what to do and prepare. Most enemies wouldn't be so kind. They would sneak up on you when you least expected it and destroy you mercilessly.
They have also identified who they fear the most. They or their partners own, control, directly run, fund, support, infiltrate, create or at least monitor all terrorist groups. Why would they fear them?
By doing this they have identified at least some of the tools that anyone left there that believes in freedom and what the foundation of America allegedly means can use to engage them.

When the British Met Police came out and made this absurd threat, it should have immediately triggered an urgent review of the law to nullify such an abuse of police powers. Either Parliament, the Home Secretary Theresa May or even the empty suit PM Cameron could have raised the matter.
