Why Is The USDA Buying Submachine Guns?

Tyler Durden's picture

By Charles McFarlane of Modern Farmer

Why Is The USDA Buying Submachine Guns?

“Submachine guns, .40 Cal. S&W, ambidextrous safety, semi-automatic or 2 shot bur[s]t trigger group, Tritium night sights for front and rear, rails for attachment of flashlight (front under fore grip) and scope (top rear), stock-collapsib[l]e or folding, magazine - 30 rd. capacity.”

In May, the USDA's Office of Inspector General filed a request for these weapons. But why exactly do they need them?

According to a USDA press rep, the guns are necessary for self-protection.

“OIG Special Agents regularly conduct undercover operations and surveillance. The types of investigations conducted by OIG Special Agents include criminal activities such as fraud in farm programs; significant thefts of Government property or funds; bribery and extortion; smuggling; and assaults and threats of violence against USDA employees engaged in their official duties,” wrote a USDA spokesperson.

Those seem like legitimate enforcement activities, but still: submachine guns? Not everyone believes the USDA being armed to the teeth is justifiable. On Aug. 2, the Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund launched a petition to support a bill that would curb the ability of agencies like the USDA to arm themselves. They see it as overkill and scare tactics, especially for smaller producers.

“What we have seen happen, with the FDA especially, is they have come onto small farms, raw milk producers, and raided the heck out of them with armed agents present,” says Liz Reitzig, co-founder of the Farm Food Freedom Coalition. “Do we really want to have our federal regulatory agencies bring submachine guns onto these family farms with children?”

The Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund petition focuses on two now infamous blows to the raw milk community – the 2010 and 2011 raids on Rawsome Food Club in Venice, California. These raids were carried out by armed federal agents, from the FDA and other agencies.

The OIG’s Investigation Development bulletins show there have been three incidents in the last year that involved firearms and two in which USDA agents were verbally threatened. Still, most of their enforcement operations surround white-collar fraud of government programs, often involving SNAP programs. “If there is fraud in the SNAP program, look at how it is implemented and make changes in the entire program,” says Reitzig. “Don’t bring machine guns onto farms.”

The Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund are not the only ones interested in taking guns out of the hands of USDA agents. Utah Congressman Chris Stewart is the sponsor of the bill on the FTCLDF petition. “At its heart it comes down to this: To myself, and for a lot of Americans, there is great concern over regulator agencies with heavy handed capabilities,” Rep. Stewart told Modern Farmer.

His bill, H.R. 4934, hopes “to prohibit certain federal agencies from using or purchasing certain firearms, and for other purposes.” When asked about the USDA’s plan for submachine guns, he said, “I can’t envision a scenario where what they are doing would require that.”

Another concern is simply accountability. The request for submachine guns from the USDA doesn’t say how many guns — asking them seems like a non-starter. “They have been very unhelpful in trying to find out any information about this,” said Rep. Stewart. “We couldn’t get answers — it doesn’t seem right to me.”

However, he also cautioned: “We have never argued that federal regulators don’t need to protect themselves.” But if USDA investigations were perceived to be potentially violent he suggested, “They should do what the rest of us do, call the local sheriff.”

For starters, the HMQRTF (Halal Meat Quick Reaction Task Force), a shadowy branch of the USDA, would be going Subway Store to Subway Store making sure the Sharia rules are being followed to the letter of the law.

Secondly, they would probably lend a hand in security efforts for the upcoming Hillary Clinton Iowa Caucus meetings and such.

Another thing, stupidity is a randomly give weapons to government agents.

My family are farmers, early learned to hunt armadillo, paca, deer, know the terrain like no other.

Most farmers have the best aim that edge snypers.

Know the wind direction and terrain conditions after all, were born there.

A single farmer with rifle quietly killing more than ten guys with machine gun and back home without pangs of conscience.

He knows he is defending his land.

Have you seen much game drop dead, if it is two or four legs makes no difference.

These words may seem harsh to those who live in New York or another big city, but this is the reality of people who live in the countryside.

Problem with that is they have all the good gear- night vision, heat signture identification, coms, helicopters and all the other logistics- makes it easier to track you and triangulate where those shots came from- yeah, i don't disagree farmers and many from the country have solid skills with firearms and orientation in the wilderness etc, but the .govs DO have serious logistic, manpower and hardware presence. It would really take the whole community of farmers or like minded people to "persuade" them the error of their ways.

After the international banksters were able to take back control over the American public "money" supply, as symbolized by the creation of the Federal Reserve Board, backed up by income tax, in 1913, everything else has automatically been on an exponential growth curve towards the imposition of democidal martial law to eventually attempt to consolidate that control.

I regard it as basically being simple: the principles and methods of organized crime were systematically and persistently applied to the American political processes, so that the best organized gangs of criminals were able to make sure that all the successful and surviving politicians were puppets performing for muppets.

Since the SOURCE of the public "money" supply was privatized, there has been one war based on deceit after another in order to back up that debt slavery system. Since that debt slavery system had a structure which necessarily drove the generation of numbers which became debt insanities, there is no way within that entrenched system than to attempt to back it up with death insanities.

All of the militarization of the American police is headed towards the goal of being able to impose democidal martial law on the American people, to make sure that the international banksters' global systems can continue to consolidate control. There is no way to avoid that, since every different social and environmental insanity is converging towards the runaway debt insanity driving death insanities. The USDA Buying Submachine Guns is another facet of the preparations for this overall agenda:

Making You an Agent of the State

By Preston James, September 21, 2014.

Ever since the First Gulf War, US Government Institutions hijacked by City of London Rothschild controlled World Zionists have been doing everything feasible to create as many “Agents of the State” in America as possible. ...

The folks who control the US Government (USG) and the Major Mass media have created and dispensed a phony, Big Lie “War on Terror Narrative” to transform as many Americans into Agents of the State as possible. Those who refuse to become “Agents of the State” and speak out against the USG, Homeland Security, the Patriot Act or the National Defense Authorization Act in any way will or express unhappiness with the Militarization of the American Police become officially labelled Domestic Terrorists, potential Domestic Terrorists and will be treated as “Enemies of the State.” ...

This “War on Terror” Narrative is perhaps the Greatest Psyop ever in the History of the World and was designed to make you and everyone else in America an Agent of the State, their State since they hijacked America in 1913. And since they deployed their 9/11/01 Gladio-style, inside-job, False-Flag attack with the help of a select set of Dual and Triple Citizen Traitors, Traitors in the JCS, USAF, NORAD and the FAA, they have been pulling out all the stops to inculcate the phony narrative of the War on Terror in as many naive American dupes as possible.

In order to fully understand this Massive Psyop, the Phony War on Terror False Narrative Big USG Lie, it is necessary to ask and answer many questions about what it is comprised of. But first folks must understand that the Major Mass media has been hijacked as in your enemy, a major Mind-kontrol tool promoting Secret Shadow Government Psyops against you and the American people, designed to take away all your Constitutional Rights in this phony, synthetic War on Terror. ...

... Essentially all Americans are being forced to make a choice, either become an Agent of the State, or you will be considered an Enemy of the State. ... The War on Terror Narrative is designed to bifurcate the American People into two groups: Potential and actual Enemies of the State and “True Believers” in this Phony War on Terror narrative ..."

The USDA was folded into the Department of Homeland Security by the DHS Act.

Perhaps you can discern the purpose of the DHS once you understand that the DHS is modelled after French Committees of Terror (1792-4), the Judeo-Bolshevik Cheka (GPU, NKVD, KGB et cetera) and the Nazi Schutzstaffel.

For your investigation it also helps to know that the various agencies of the DHS have ordered some 2-3 billion rounds of ammo (enough to supply an Iraqi war for 25 years), bullet proof roadside checkpoint booths, plus other war materiel… all to apprehend a few dozen dim-witted patsies.  I mean, that’s what they tell us.

And then there is the ALLIANCE cobbled together by Red China, which is comprised of Mexican and Columbian drug cartels, Chinese Triads, Red army, Chinese communist party and several US government agencies (Congress, DoJ, DEA et cetera).  I gained this info from testimony before a Congressional subcommittee.

I suspect that members of this ALLIANCE are standing by to staff the DHS when it is time to collect on the $1.3 Trillion in US Treasuries bought by Red China.

Perhaps you should read my links as if your life depended on them?

Lets face it, every government employee wants to dress up like a Navy Seal and play tough guys. Imagine the fun the agricultural police can have a week long trainign camps! Firing guns, dressing up like combat infantry. Doing practive taking down American farmers. Shoot to kill week control?

This has gone off the charts insane. The evil Police State and it's over paid and under worked employees are desperate to stick a gun in America's face and take them down to the ground.

This makes me fucking sick! Look into the issue of School Cops too some time. Yes, this shit is now in our schools, armed cops in schools. Inner city schools are the excuse to spread the Police State into all schools, very few of which need in house cops. But think of all the high paying, no work load, dress up with guns jobs this extension of police state America will create. We can't educate our kids for shit, but we can stick a gun in their face and tell them to get on their faces and spread 'em. God damn this shit is out of control.

The American  people really need to realize that a choice is coming whether they like it or not: They can wither away in poverty and misery with everyday a fight to just survive or fight to take back the county, the American country, from these treasonous criminals and murderers.

The choice is coming: Persecution or Revolution.

The Four Rs
Rejection: Quit paying, quit obeying, quit playing
Revolution: It is inevitable, so prepare, as they are.
Retribution: The guilty must answer for their crimes against the American people and the Constitution.
Restoration: Restore the American people, country and Constitutional republic.

UK PRIME MINISTER DAVID CAMERON HAS ASKED THE UN TO FORM A NEW AGENCY TO DEAL WITH NON VIOLENT TERRORISTS. Non violent terrorists include 9/11 truthers- in particular those who link the event to Israel. In his statement he did not use the word Israel- he used Jews.  He also mentioned 7/7- an event in the UK. He wants anyone preaching 9/11 or 7/7 "truth" to be dealt with. He wants it banned from universities and he mentioned prisons.

The speech is on a youtube clip. It occured 9/25 so if you search 9/11 with a filter for happening in the last week you may find it. He also talked about banning internet information regarding it!

Relevant section of his speech to the UN...

"The root cause of this terrorist threat is a poisonous ideology of Islamist extremism. This is nothing to do with Islam, which is a peaceful religion which inspires countless acts of generosity every day. Islamist extremism on the other hand believes in using the most brutal forms of terrorism to force people to accept a warped world view and to live in a quasi-mediaeval state.

To defeat ISIL – and organisations like it - we must defeat this ideology in all its forms.

As evidence emerges about the backgrounds of those convicted of terrorist offences, it is clear that many of them were initially influenced by preachers who claim not to encourage violence, but whose world view can be used as a justification for it. We know this world view.

The peddling of lies: that 9/11 was a Jewish plot or that the 7/7 London attacks were staged. The idea that Muslims are persecuted all over the world as a deliberate act of Western policy. The concept of an inevitable clash of civilisations.

We must be clear: to defeat the ideology of extremism we need to deal with all forms of extremism – not just violent extremism.

For governments, there are some obvious ways we can do this. We must ban preachers of hate from coming to our countries. We must proscribe organisations that incite terrorism against people at home and abroad. We must work together to take down illegal online material like the recent videos of ISIL murdering hostages. And we must stop the so called non-violent extremists from inciting hatred and intolerance in our schools, our universities and yes, even our prisons.

Of course there are some who will argue that this is not compatible with free speech and intellectual inquiry.

But I say: would we sit back and allow right-wing extremists, Nazis or Klu Klux Klansmen to recruit on our university campuses? No.

So we shouldn’t stand by and just allow any form of non-violent extremism. We need to argue that prophecies of a global war of religion pitting Muslims against the rest of the world. These things are nonsense. We need Muslims and their governments around the world to reclaim their religion from these sick terrorists as so many are doing and quite rightly doing today. We all need to help them with programmes that channel young people away from these poisonous ideologues. And we need the strongest possible international focus on tackling this ideology - which is why here at the United Nations, the United Kingdom is calling for a new Special Representative on extremism."

So, I have a related question.  Why do individuals with children bring sub-machine guns into their own homes?  Given our deep Concern For The Children, should we be equally outraged about that?  I know about constitutional rights and self-defense.  My point is if Concern For The Children is motivating the outrage, then let's be sure to consider all the situations in which children are endangered by sub-machine guns, at least for the sake of completeness.

How many of those badged thugs put their guns in locked safe's when home. Not many I'll wager.

A gun purchased for self and family protection is a worthless POS when locked away in a safe. Teach the "children" how to handle a gun and to leave it alone when not needed.

oh those are for when the new natinalisation of fsrmland program goes into effect. see they can make use of farmland more effiecently than some landowner who inhertited a family farm from prior generations. so the farms must be operated by a private/public coperative based on the Zimbabwe model. got it. it is a Un mandate I think. but don't worry when the UN has no more veto for the big five and all countries can start sharing the wealth golbally things will be so much more fair don't you see. those landowners have been hoarding wealth instead of making productive contributions to the world's poor. oh yes times are a changing.

The military-industrial complex is in overdrive production mode.

The surplus has to be bought somehow. By anybody: police, schools, the USDA, soon nurseries, kindergartens, public libraries, garden centers, golf greens, museums, zoos, shopping malls, hospitals, Town halls, sports centers, NGOs, human rights groups of all kinds, animal welfare groups, botanical research centers, McDonald's restaurants, seaside rescuers, philatelists, retirement homes...

The country may collapse one day under the weight of all that metal; meanwhile, buying weapons, tanks, fighter planes, rifles, cruiser warships (for your holiday cruises) is PATRIOTIC.

Pretty simple. They're going to use it to shoot you when you don't submit to their total enslavement. Because the people that give the orders are spineless gutless cowards. They needs mindless criminal thugs with guns to enforce their criminal actions. Read the story below. The bureaucratic scum wouldn't come out to the farm but he would send "armed agents".

They rest of the world is rejecting them. But if they can't get you to ingest poison GMO's or sell out to factory farms willingly they'll just raid every whole food and family farm there is and sue them, fine them, steal everything, kill everything and shut them down.

Machine guns are indiscriminate killing machines suitable to the trenches of WW I.  Since when would it be appropriate for a federal agent to spray lead all over a crowd?  It would never be legal or moral to do so, so this is an extremely juvenile and dangerous policy.

The point is- machine guns are room brooms, street sweepers for the indiscriminate shooting of groups of people, not criminal individuals. I guess the 'agents' can't hit a barn door from the inside and need these guns to be effective.  I hit what I aim at, usually within the first shot or two.

No goddamn machine gun required.

So are you going with the 1 drone to 1 farmer kill ratio? You will run out of drones long before you run out of farmers, not to mention their sons and daughters who quite possibly do have military training in Iraq or Afghanistan who will then be quite keen on a bit of payback... Most of the farmers around me spend a weekend the month before deer season dialing in their scopes. Almost sniper-like during the actual hunt. One shot - one kill. As an added bonus, who knows the land better?

I've been in the foxhole.

I bet in some ways it is.

PTSD isn't about blood and guts.  It is about fear and guilt.

An infantrymen gets lots of the first, and an uneven  dose of the second (depending on the character of those he serves with).  But most of the time it is a morally cleaner way to fight, because when someone shoots at you, you are always justfied to shoot back.

A drone operator, who knows what he is doing is wrong, gets little of the first, but massive doses of the second.
