USDJPY Surge Drags Nasdaq Green, Bonds Ain't Buying It (Again)

Tyler Durden's picture

The Nasdaq, Russell 2000, and Dow Transports have been rescued in their high-beta manner all the way back to green by an initial USDJPY ramp to ignite some momentum "off the lows". Treasuries and credit refuse to  play along and even USDJPY has decoupled as stocks surged on a VIX-slamming (from over 17 to 15.50) ramp to unch. Safe-haven buying of camera-on-a-stick continues (+8% today).

Back to green...

With camera-on-a-stick squeezing ever higher...

On a sea of USDJPY rampage...

and VIX-slamming (from over 17 at the open)

But bonds ain't buying it...

The bond market is much larger than equities. Market crash will be lead by the bond crash. ZH has it right on.

"China will start direct trading between the yuan and the euro tomorrow as the world’s second-largest economy seeks to spur global use of its currency.

The move will lower transaction costs and so make yuan and euros more attractive to conduct bilateral trade and investment, the People’s Bank of China said today in a statement on its website. HSBC Holdings Plc said separately it has received regulatory approval to be one of the first market makers when trading begins in China’s domestic market."

Curious to see how the Chinese exporting inflation to the Euro is going to work out.

Hey, as long as silver is on sale I guess I really don't care.

Bone cancer is much more painful, and drawn out.

One of my clients, a banker, has been dying from it for three years.

All his money is just prolongoing the day of reckoning, at a very painful cost.

Speaking of cancer, how is Jamie Dimon doing?  I sure hope he's back to interpret JPMorgan's Chase 3Q results.

So techs and small caps are HIGHLY resource intensive plays (think Tesla's Gigafactory) so any surge in the dollar means building out the New Normal just got that much cheaper.

Maintaining pricing is of course another matter entirely but hey, if gasoline drops to a dime a gallon who cares?

Obviously if you're a resource trader here you're being Holocausted. Resource pricing hasn't collapsed like this since the 19th century.

Obviously I would avoid all debt save for treasuries which can be...but interestingly are not...printed into existence.

It would appear Taper is one of the most momentous decisions made in monetary history.

All this vitriole against GoPro.  I think it's a stupid idea, too.  What are the barriers to entry again for any would-be competitor?.  That's right- NOTHING.  But anything this hated has to go up.  So, "buy buy buy".

GoPro is going to be one of the poster children for this new tech bubble. ZERO barriers to entry when it comes to a camera in a plastic box.  What the fuck is wrong with the people buying this stock...??

If we are somehow able to do a second full Fed audit - it will reveal exactly how the rigged market has been held up.

Heck, the first audit showed $16 trillion in undisclosed bailouts to financial institutions.  Another one will show how

asset prices have been fraudulently propped up by Fed purchases of "basket products".

After 6 years of this I think most of us just look at this as the comedy we come to expect...worst thing for a market as it is designed by the central planner plate spinning ponzi pumpers globally is APATHY...since this is all and has been a confidence game backed by nothing...

Most of us simply do not give a fuck anymore.

Answer my own question...

"GoPro, Inc., formerly Woodman Labs, Inc., develops hardware and software solutions to alleviate consumer pain points associated with capturing, managing, sharing and enjoying engaging content. The Company’s mountable and wearable cameras and accessories, which the Company refer to as capture devices, enable professional-quality capture and exceptional versatility. In addition, the Company’s remote control solutions and its seamless integration with mobile devices through the GoPro App, its mobile application, enable engaging self-capture during virtually any activity. The Company seeks to eliminate the pain point of managing content by making it easy for its customers to transfer footage from their cameras to a system that efficiently organizes their content and facilitates convenient editing and sharing. GoPro Studio, its desktop application, and the GoPro App, reflect the early stages of its content management platform strategy."

Oh.  (WTF?)
