Doctor Boards Atlanta Flight In HazMat Suit To Protest "Lying CDC"

Tyler Durden's picture

"If they're not lying, they are grossly incompetent," said Dr. Gil Mobley, a microbiologist and emergency trauma physician from Springfield, Mo. as he checked in and cleared Atlanta airport security wearing a mask, goggles, gloves, boots and a hooded white jumpsuit emblazoned on the back with the words, "CDC is lying!" As The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports, Mobley says the CDC is "sugar-coating" the risk of the virus spreading in the United States.

As The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports,

A Missouri doctor Thursday morning boarded a plane at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport dressed in full protection gear to protest what he called mismanagement of the crisis by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Dr. Gil Mobley checked in and cleared airport security wearing a mask, goggles, gloves, boots and a hooded white jumpsuit emblazoned on the back with the words, “CDC is lying!”

“If they’re not lying, they are grossly incompetent,” said Mobley, a microbiologist and emergency trauma physician from Springfield, Mo.

Mobley said the CDC is “sugar-coating” the risk of the virus spreading in the United States.

“For them to say last week that the likelihood of importing an Ebola case was extremely small was a real bad call,” he said.

“Once this disease consumes every third world country, as surely it will, because they lack the same basic infrastructure as Sierra Leone and Liberia, at that point, we will be importing clusters of Ebola on a daily basis,” Mobley predicted. “That will overwhelm any advanced country’s ability to contain the clusters in isolation and quarantine. That spells bad news.”

...

Mobley, a Medical College of Georgia graduate who had an overnight layover after flying to Atlanta from Guatemala on Wednesday...

“Yesterday, I came through international customs at the Atlanta airport,” the doctor told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “The only question they asked arriving passengers is if they had tobacco or alcohol.”

It seems CDC Director Frieden agrees...

Agreed- usually they dont let people trying to make a point on the actual ane do they?  Dont folks usually get arrested at the airport level when trying to do something that might cause trouble such as this.  Seems fishy to me they let him through all the security.  Couldnt he have been hiding something in that hazmat suit?  I smell cointel pro big time!

lasvegaspersona's picture

Crazy Lady...I doubt counterintel...too many details about the guy. Everyone who trained with him will know him, vouch for him (one way or the other). ER Trauma is a serious speciality. The guy did not do basket weaving in college (unless he has a kinky side which is OK Rosie Greer did too.)

Nope this is guy, unless he is uncovered in the next few hours (say if the program director says 'he never trained here'.) is legit.

Just another smart guy who has finally had it, like so many of us. Fortuately he had the time and inclination (and was willing to take the risk) to make his point.

Medicine is not like show biz. A stunt like this does not help your career. This was a sacrifice.

CrazyCatLady's picture

Again, i point out that he was allowed through security wearing a hazmat suit.  I havent flown since before 9/11, but they wont even let you take a water bottle on a plane.  How was he allowed to board wearing a full body suit?

I think the whole thing is a fucking hoax / psychological operation to spread massive public hysteria upon which martial law can be declared.

All of the sheeple falling for the false fear of a pandemic are going to consent to our mass detainment.  Thank you, fools.  That is what TPTB want --- our consent.  Fuck, I can not believe how many otherwise intelligent people are falling for this stunt.

"If you hear your neighbor cough or sniffle, report him immediately to the CDC for the good of humanity!  You will be a hero!"

"Make sure to report any anti-vaxxers in your neighborhood too!"

Hobbleknee's picture

I would agree except for the fact that the talking heads keep saying everything is fine. If they wanted to pump the fear, we would already be on lockdown.

Herd Redirection Committee's picture

Maybe.  But surely they must know their assurances DO NOT reassure the skeptical, and have the opposite effect, as we see here.

So Phase 1, downplay it, Phase 2, crank up the fear.  By then there will likely be a 'vaccine' to point people towards (or force vaccination).

The point is, you are spot on, that mortal danger, in the form of pandemic, still terrifies people.  Broad swathes of the population.

e_goldstein's picture

is this really about warning of a legitimate threat, or spreading fear through propaganda?  hard to say

Hate to say it, but this is probably real. They want it to spread, otherwise they would have quarantined the countries where the strain(s) broke out.

The Doctor did what!?

SUMMON DHS! ARREST THE TERRORIST!

That's right.  Ebola jumped the fence, ran across the yard, in the front door and the cdc has handed it the newspaper for the bathroom before aprehending it.

I’ve got some people freaking out at my work.  LOL  This is great.  Especially when you show the math.

Life is a mix.

LOL.  If this goes big time, you can consider it a big natural selection event.

Blessed are the shut-ins, for they shall inherit the Earth (filled with bloated, bleeding, diseased corpses).

Like I said to my brother, sitting around waiting to die isn't really my bag.  That natural selector is gonna have to find me.

If we see tertiary infections in the US, I will start avoiding crowds, big time.  If it really starts spreading, I will stay as isolated as possible until it is time to bug out.  Unfortunately, the best time to bug out is when you can approach a pharmacist and say "I need all of your antibiotics, your blah blah blah... and I have room for one more" and the pharmacist seriously considers the offer, and hasn't already bugged out with all of that shit for him/herself.  You have to wait until things are truly starting to break down before you can go out away from people and expect to not be bothered by government agents who enforce the rules of the system.  In such a situation, the timing would be a real bitch.  Too early and you'll stand a chance of facing boneheaded state funded enforcers and too late and you get sick.

I got invited to the Nats game tomorrow.  I suspect the odds are good that someone from the Dulles layover will be there.

Are we fighting "EBOLA" or "AL BOLA" and are they part of ISIS or H1N1 and do they both do beheadings

You mean Frank Ebola?  Is he the guy from SF Giants that hit the grand slam?

Consuelo's picture

Was he wearing a government uniform?   Did he taze you?  Did he put you in a choke hold until you were foaming at the mouth? Did he toss a flash-bang grenade into your infant's crib?   Did he bust into your house with a gaggle of other heavily armed stormtroopers and shoot your grandfather in the face?

If the answer to any of the above is 'No', then he is most definitely NOT a 'hero'...   At least by the standard of the zeitgeist of the past 13 years for what defines 'hero'...

No not me. Flying has been avoided since I've seen a rash of TB patients walking off international flights with out a peep from Public health.

I have made the decision when I get infected with this virus I will board a plane to a beloved area of our country in a hazmat suit to protect others. Then I would blow myself up in said key area spraying my bodily fluid all over during peak viral replication. If anyone is left alive from the actions of these stupid, psychopathic idiots, you may read my farewell letter.

Oh yeah...fuck you, eat shit and die NSA.

Sorry, I'm just in a really crappy mood stemming from all this.

He is a hero.  Not everyone was drunk the Kool-Aid apparently.  Not that it will stop things.  We MUST bring clients, er.....immigrants, into this country regardless of the risk.  After all, there is Voting to be done and Benefits to be distributed.

That being said, the Administration could be in trouble on this one.  Even the most dense, low-information voter can probably decide that they don't want to catch Ebola and slowly turn into a blood-stained shitbag before expiring.  Even if Obama says it is all under control.

Incompetence could also be the explanation.

Maybe its just malicious incompetence.

time will tell.  by now, huge areas of Africa should be facing mass infections...  but if you look closely at the stories, it looks like all hype, with some isolated incidents...   a lot of fear, without out much real danger...  tptb love fear, it gives them power.  but, they can't sustain the fear mongering for long without delivering, people will begin to figure it out.    I expect to see over the next few weeks more isolated cases break out, and it will cause mass panic and fear across the country.  but if you watch closely, there never will be a mass outbreak.

Who you can trust for honest and accrurate reporting of the situation moving forward, will more valuable than gold.   Or Go-Pro...

almost no one.  that is the world we live in.   if you think its a real risk, get some pure tobacco and hold onto it, get a colloidal silver maker, and some pure ascorbic acid.   and stay far away from any 'vaccine' they roll out...

You must be watching mainstream media. And not reading much about ebola.

Back in the 1970s, the government started a public panic over the swine flu in order to sell a vaccine for it.

They did it again a few years ago. They showed people in Mexico wearing surgical masks. Then there was Biden telling everyone that he wouldn't get on a plane because someone with swine flu might cough.

And Sebelius was pushing the swine flu vaccine, which has a track record of causing damage to the central nervous system.

Ebola is a perfect way for the rich to collapse the financial system without being blamed for it. And just imagine the fun they'll have shorting equities.

Most excellent info... Follow The Money !!

We All Know and See That The US Governent is Lying about everything.

But are telling the truth about eBola ???

Also... Every body is in a worried about Ebola... but what about the Highway Virus... EVERY Year about 300,000 people die from travelling on the Highways over asphalt... That is 3 Million people over the last 10 years.

americhinaman's picture

hotspots certainly are facing mass infections... while it's debatable whether we can call the hotspots "huge areas", take a look:

http://healthmap.org/ebola/#projection

cases double every 3 weeks or so... looks like they are doing a reasonably good job preventing the spread of the infections outside of the hotspots for now, but within the hotspots this is clearly an exponential growth rate.  even the best scenario has cases doubling over the next ~5 weeks... still exponential just a tad slower... i.e. even in the best scenario it's only a matter of time before the hotspots are entirely engulfed/saturated.

say we accept that ebola will entirely engulf the hotspot regions, becoming endemic and leaving only survivors/carriers.  at that point they can carry the disease without showing any symptoms.  and what are the chances that they all stay around their homes, where ~70-90% of the people have died?  maybe they'll move to other places in africa.  or maybe they have some relatives in Dallas they can move in with.

Winston, Here you go:

"Evil, in a general context, is taken as the absence or complete opposite of that which is ascribed as being good. Often, evil is used to denote profound immorality. In certain religious contexts, evil has been described as a supernatural force. Definitions of evil vary, as does the analysis of its root motives and causes. However, elements that are commonly associated with evil involve unbalanced behavior involving expediency, selfishness, ignorance, or neglect."

"American psychiatrist M. Scott Peck on the other hand, describes evil as militant ignorance."

There you have it. "Malicious Incompetence" indeed...
