Thousands Sign Petition To Ban Flights From Ebola Countries; Two Removed From Newark Airplane By Hazmat Crew
Whether it is due to the sheer deferred Ebola panic (we warned in June it was only a matter of time before the "world's worst Ebola epidemic" made it to US shores, which promptly got us branded as fearmongers as usual), or the administration's bumbled attempt at damage control with a very confused and mostly pointless press conference on Friday afternoon, but three days ago, a petition was launched on the White House website demanding that the "FAA ban all incoming and outgoing flights to Ebola-stricken countries until the Ebola outbreak is contained." As of this moment, over 4,000 people have already signed it.
And while petitions are usually pointless exercise in public outcry, in this case the CDC already responded. As the Hill reports, a travel ban to the countries facing an Ebola outbreak could paradoxically make the problem worse, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Tom Frieden said during a Saturday press conference.
Paradoxically indeed? Let's listen to Mr. Frieden's arguments:
Frieden said the CDC would consider any and all precautions, but warned that a travel ban could make it harder to get medical care and aid workers to regions dealing with the outbreak.
He said that had already occurred when African Union aid workers tried to get to Liberia but were stuck in a neighboring country for days because of a travel ban.
"Their ability to get there was delayed by about a week because their flight was canceled and they were stuck in a neighboring country," he said.
But isn't it mostly US troops deployed in Africa now, sent on a mission to shoot the Ebola virus on sight, instead of "medical care and aid workers" who are now the primary respondents to the world's worst Ebola epidemic in history? Guess not.
Frieden also said the CDC has experienced a spike in reported potential cases of Ebola following the first diagnosis of a patient in the U.S. in Dallas earlier this week, saying the rise in concern was a good thing but that he remained the only patient who has been identified as suffering from the disease. Two patients who were initially identified as having potential Ebola symptoms in the Washington, D.C. area were ruled to not have the disease on Saturday.
"We have definitely seen an increase in the number since this patient was diagnosed… that is as it should be," Frieden said. "We have already gotten well over 100 inquiries for possible patients… this one patient has tested positive," he said. "We expect we will see more rumors, concerns, possibilities of cases. Until there is a positive test that's what they are, rumors and concerns."
So, after ignoring the problem for months, the CDC finally has precisely what it was hoping to achieve: panic? Great job guys.
Frieden also said there were lesons to be learned from the delayed response to the Ebola patient in Dallas. It took two days for those who had been in contact with him to be contacted by medical officials, and Frieden said that should alert medical professionals to pay especially close attention to patients' travel history if they're showing signs of fever.
"As we anticipated, the arrival of the first Ebola patient in the U.S. has really increased attention to what health workers in this country need to do to be alert and make sure a travel history is taking," he said.
And speaking of inbound cases of fever, moments ago ABC reported that CDC officials have removed passengers from a plane that landed in Newark Saturday afternoon following a possible Ebola scare.
United flight 998 from Brussels landed at Newark Airport and has been met by Centers for Disease Control officials based in Newark after passengers on board, believed to be from Liberia, exhibited possible signs of Ebola. The passenger was displaying flu-like symptoms.
The flight was scheduled to land around noon.
Officials with the CDC removed two passengers from the plane. A man had been traveling with his daughter and both were removed by a CDC crew in full HAZMAT gear.
The airline issued a statement confirming that crew needed to assist an ill customer. "Upon arrival at Newark Airport from Brussels, medical professionals instructed that customers and crew of United flight 988 remain on board until they could assist an ill customer. We are working with authorities and will accommodate our customers as quickly as we can," said a statement from the airline." Other passengers remained aboard but were eventually allowed to deplane around 2 p.m.
A scare which promptly concluded when within the hour, CDC officials determined that the people exhibiting flu-like symptoms were, in fact, not contagious.
Passengers being allowed off United flight 998 upon @CDCgov determined person in question not contagious. @ABC7NY #Ebola

Finally, as a reminder, Newark is about 20 miles form Manhattan, although those looking for a real dramatic impact should wait until the Ebola scare touches down at JFK. At the current pace of spread, of the Ebola panic if not Ebola itself, it should be a rather short wait.

That sounds like something from a Herman Mellville novel. I guess we're all gonna be "cabin boys" in the end.

I'm sure there is a piece of paper somewhere that says someone has the right to drag you off to funcamp. However, that doesn't make it lawful/right, and you always have the option to evade or resist.
Yes.
Have you not been reading the articles here on the Hedge?

I just booked a flight to West Africa, Delta has some really great deals here lately...

It'll probably be good to get in the practice anyway.
A giant shitstorm is surely heading this way... just not a literal one.
No planes should be flying to/out of any African countires that have Ebola cases.
TO is OK just not OUT with passengers...
To is just as bad, because ground crew working on the planes can interact with pilots and flight crew who then make the journey back, or they simply cough and spit all over the plane, and maintenance crews wherever the planes returns to will have a good chance of getting sick.
CORDON SANITAIRE
No one in, no one out.
Period, end of conversation.
Ebola isn't an earthquake/volcano - it's an infectious disease which has been escalating for months and tracked for years.
People all over the world live at the feet of volcanoes: when the unpronounceable Iclelandic volcano was spouting serious ash years back ALL European flights were re-routed and many were cancelled.
That's what civilized societies do.
Shut down air traffic from the seriously infected countries - especially Liberia.
That's what rational countries do who look out for the well being of their own citizens. However, Obama sees himself as a world citizen and maybe even de facto President of the world. So, he has a much larger and more noble view of things. We can risk ebola in the USSA for the good of W. Africans. Never mind that W. Africa is actually worse, not better off if the plague spreads.
You want to see an airline stock shoot straight up? Have the privately run airlines institute their own ban on flights. They actually do not need the permission of the government. Let United and the others do not only their own quarantine but a complete washdown of their fleet. Immediate good will.
Of course Obama will have the IRS start serial audits and probably try to close them down with OSHA, DOL and twenty other agencies but it will be obvious.
If we are going to quarintine places why not start with Texas & DC
But Obama should go out into the tents where the ebola victims are and shake their hands!
Snaphooker, I was thinking more, that if these fucking flights are allowed, then they MUST ALL be into DC (including the arrivals be required to STAY in DC) other than that, they should have been banned from the start of this shit.
The only thing worse than Obam, ALL Democrats and the RINOs is the Dem scum and liberals who voted for him.
I bet ZH has more than a few liberals who voted for this all their f**king lives. I hope they have ebola coming out of their eyes and arseholes.
Then ask that two-timing, dual-citizen, agenda-driven phoney as to why the US should let these diseased "folks" in, when his Home & Native Land (Israel) won't.

Read "A Journal of The Plague Year" by Daniel Defoe if you haven't. People will resort to any means possible to escape infection and death by disease:

and the entire book (buy a copy):

No horror film comes up to the level of pure fear and distress than this book does.
Not to mention - Daniel Defoe quotes all the statistics of the time which were taken down fastidiously in England - not so much in Africa.
Read "A Journal of The Plague Year"
Thanks for the free book, ajax. I'm using every extra cent I have to stock up on dried beans, rice, etc and Hornady Zombie ammo so I don't have to wander into the crowded stores or thug-filled streets for at least 3 months unless absolutely necessary ... so getting the book for free is real swell!
I started getting concerned actually years ago, when I saw Bush's appointee of FEMA, Chertov, answer the reporter about the Katrina disaster. He said, "Don't rely on the gubmint to save you."
His words stuck in my mind for months. Then I prepared, as he suggested.
Thanks, Chertov and thanks ajax for the freebie!
"Frieden also said there were lesons to be learned from the delayed response to the Ebola patient in Dallas."
Yeah, the lesson is to stop hiring retards to interview and take down information on the patients.

That's funny, we'll ban flights in and out of Israel when hamas throws a rock at the airport, but we'll let all these infected dudes over on our planes with no problem...
I wonder how many infected Ebola carriers Israel has let in.
This whole thing smells of a steered operation from the bowels of foggy bottom. ,,,good night Amerika..From W.Africa to a town near you...with love from DC.
Maybe I am becoming too paranoid (translate too realistic) but YES I find it very curious that the Ebola 'boots on the ground military" coincide with untapped oil.

Find it curious that poor little Cuba is sending highly trained medical personnel BUT US is deploying military.
Now think for 2 minutes between channel surfs? Oil in Africa= Ebola reponse.
Enough already. enough. YOU have been caught. Enough already. I would mention that people's lives are in jeopardy but NOBODY in US gov. gives a flying frig.
Get this poor soul in critical care to spit on John McCain. Please. Somewhere it has to stop.
20 miles? much closer than that!
Its either a danger or its not. Next passengers on plane exposed? unprotected cleanup crews? Lots of questions.
What a dumb and ineffective plan to ban DIRECT flights, because in this day and age, there are thousands of transfer (i.e. INDIRECT) flights one could take. The USSA & EUSSR would have to impose a no-fly zone over the whole of western Africa. Besides that, there are other means of getting across a border in Africa, either by bus, car of simply by walking. Remember, you might be infected but not yet show any symptoms, so you'll still be able to walk/travel normally.
Typically dumb and typically American: a quick cosmetic fix to please the dumb masses, nevermind if it works or not. Let's lower the interest rate and give everybody a gun, perhaps that will cure Ebola as well...
bokk, not american i would guess. you forgot the other part of the plan: quarantine for x number of days if travelling from that continent.. I would think your IQ is not above room temp, yet I am sure you hold yourself in high regard..
I'm getting a bit sick and tired of all these conspiracy theories here and their dumb followers. Of course, Ebola is not to be taken lightly, but FFS, stop all this bullshitting and knee jerk reactions similar to those politicians everybody loves to hate and who curb your freedoms everytime there is a 'terrorist' threat! By your logic, why not ban...EVERYTHING and have a HUGE government who controls and decides who and what gets banned?
If it was up to ZH, the world would have been destroyed a zillion times by now due to WW III being started by either Iran, Israel, Ukranine, North Korea, Syria, Lybia, Saudi Arabia (delete as appropriate) or the economy collapsing due to Europe, China, Goldman Sachs, too much credit, too much debt, too little gold, government bonds, stock markets (again, delete as appropriate) or a major environmental/ecological disaster like Fukoshima and now Ebola.
Sure, if you throw enough darts at a a dartboard, you eventually might hit something. You might potentially even hit the bullseye (i.e. 'black swan') and you can then pat yourself on the shoulder and say: "see, I toooold you guys," just like Karl Denninger who on the 1st of October wrote: "here it comes!" http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=229464 Here comes WHAT?!?
FFS, stop crying "wolf" everytime you see a headline, it's almost King World News here!
p.s. also see Urban Redneck's comment about hub and spoke below!
"quarantine for x number of days if travelling from that continent.. "
And how would you find out if person X came from "that continent?" When he landed in the US, Mr Duncan simply came from Brussels, because he took a flight from Monrivia to Brussels and then to the US.
It would be nearly IMPOSSIBLE to check the previous countries visited (just like that laughable "have you been on a farm within the last 30 days?" question) from anyone arriving in the US from Europe, the Middle East, the Far East or Australia.
Impossible, unless of course you have the NSA tracking everybody 24/7...is that perhaps what you prefer? The NSA infiltrating (if they haven't done so already of course) every booking and reservation system and tracking everybody who has visited Africa within the last 30 days, passing on these details to the INS and CDC so that this person will be automatically placed into quarantine (or denied entry) upon arrival in the US?
Despite your 'incrediblly' high IQ (self rated no doubt) which is probably waaay above room temprature when compared to mine, I doubt that you have really thought this thing through.
It is my belief that the alleged Ebola pandemic is meant to be yet another false flag. That's not to imply that what's happening in Africa is not real, but rather what is planned for the US is a staged pandemic. Ebola testing done today is by indirect methods, that is to say tests are designed to check for the presence of EBV antibodies which react to certain proteins. There is no current test designed to actually detect the virus itself and if there were, it would still not prove infection. Ideally, viral testing should be designed to test for titre, but that is not currently feasible with EBV. So, We are left with a suboptimal testing method which will lead to many, many false positive results. Which is just what the CDC wants. Another biowarfare false flag, just like Swine Flu back in 2009, when the CDC was caught with it's pants down. The real aim is to force mass vaccination of innocent civilians.....to inoculate them with an under tested vaccine that contains God knows what......
Racist !!!!

I guess the implications of a hub and spoke air transportation model are a bit above the intellectual capacity of those exceptional Americans...
That and basic geography, like the ebola stricken country that country that Brussels is located in...
I am fully aware of the hub and spoke structure. If the US bans commercial flights, it will put more pressure on those fuckhead Europeans to do the same. It has to be a worldwide effort, but must start somewhere.
How would banning flights from ebola countries work in practice?
In case the petitioners are living in a cave somewhere, I'll humbly point out that the United States IS NOW AN EBOLA COUNTRY!
Give the powerwasher cloud of hemmorhagic death a few more days to work its magic, fer cryin' out loud.
No planes carrying passengers out.
Keep practicing that till they get it right...
If the US reaches a measly 36 ebola infections and 15 deaths in the next two months, the US outbreak will be more significant than the Nigerian outbreak on a per capita basis (Nigeria has 177m people).
Nigeria also doesn't have the CDC or a dilettante like Obozo to making things even worse.
Edit: Seriously, the clock is running.
The Droner-in-Chief and his underlings have been running their stupid mouths about:
The superiority of the Obola-care (and the usual American exceptionalism)
The great state of American health care infrastructure (even absent Obola-care)
The great contact tracing, quarantine, and health care skills of US .gov/.med paycheck collectors
The all seeing capabilities of the Orwellian State
The squalid conditions of the 99% in Nigeria
The lack of hygiene in West Africa (except when complaining about the practice of washing the dead before burying them)
Culinary snobbery in regards to the superiority of American bush meat
and on and on...
Both countries (and they are of comparable size) have had exactly one ebola case arrive by air.
Nigeria still has more direct flights each day to ebola land than the USSA. (but no TSA or CBP reporting to Jeh Johnson at DHS)
If the US breaks above 36 cases or 15 deaths by December, then none of that huge investment means shit, and the might and pocketbook of the imperial USSA can't match the on the job performance of a bunch of cut rate kleptocrats in Nigeria when they focus on other things than siphoning oil revenues or running email scams...
Sad to say it but the CDC is a wild card in all of this...
Learn to recognize false flags BEFORE they occur........
"How would banning flights from ebola countries work in practice?"
Easily. Ban all commercial flights from the infected countries.
Any and all humanitarian aid to the infected countries continue as usual.
Sound complicated to you? Ever had children or children of friends who were dreadfully ill with a virus? When you are a civilized person you inform people NOT to come visit. Well it's just that fucking easy - if your home is full of contagiuos virus sickness you do not leave home.
Do governments keep up-to-date electronic records when people cross borders, or is it all stamp and paper?
"...Sound complicated to you?..."
Actually, yes. Complicated and impractical.
If there were thousands of direct flights to the U.S. from Guniea or Sierra Leone every day, then that might be possible. That's the exception - most flights are multi-legged.
If there's some way you could convince all international airlines to identify passengers originating from 'ebola countries' (unlikely), then I suppose you might have a little better chance. Except anyone trying to leave one of those countries for the U.S. would be aware of the restriction. So they just fly to somewhere in Europe and buy a ticket to the U.S. from there.
Ban ebola country nationals from flying out? Big deal - that doesn't help with the masses of foreigners going into and out of those countries.
You would have to get the entire world to ban all flights into and out of those countries, ban citizens of those countries from flying, and then hope a non-native leaving one of those countries and trying to get to the U.S. wouldn't hop on a ship, train or drive to a neighboring country and fly from there.
Then there's the problem of getting any humanitarian aid workers or medical personnel to go into those countries to begin with if you say they can't leave.
There's something like fifteen million people in West Africa. They all don't have ebola. Most won't get it and are not at risk of getting it. Isolating them for YOUR own good is bound to backfire. Any simple FEMA-like solution of forced isolation will fail simply because managing a contagious disease isn't simple - it's damn complicated when you factor in people's behavior. The idea of non-porous borders anywhere today is fantasy. It buys you a few weeks of contagion delay at best, no matter how well you argue it on paper.
incubation is 21days. a few weeks woul help identify infected carriers? otherwise i agree the borders are porous. but it still might make it harder for them to travel. greater travel expenses. or more countries to visit and infect?
your smart, will this just burn itself out? horrible to think with human beings involved.
You haven't been to Israel. Borders, there, are impermeable. In fact, until a recent court ruling, they have been sending back illegals who made it into Israel before they built still another impermeable border.
I don't know how much of Israel remains unprotected, but it isn't much.
If they can secure their borders from fanatical Muzzies who surround them, then we can keep out Liberians, etc.
The problem isn't the ability/knowledge of how to shut down entrance, but political will and political correctness.
Since the aid is mostly government they can go on government planes rather than private airlines.
The solutions are so simple, so logical and SOP for all other diseases...yet, our administration cannot bring themselves to do it.
There is only one way left to get W. Africa quarantined tighter than N. Korea. Tell the President that these people are Tea Party Republicans trying to escape to the USA and vote. I expect barbed wire and tanks will appear within days.
? Air france, British airways, Emirates and some others have already banned flights to the region. It's Obama that refuses to ban flights.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/travel_news/article-2735698/Citing-Ebola-Air-France-suspends-flights.html
The decision came as British Airways announced it was extending its flight suspension to Liberia and Sierra Leone to December.
The British carrier initially said it was halting its service between Heathrow Airport and Liberia and Sierra Leone until the end of August due to ‘the deteriorating public health situation in both countries’, but it confirmed that it is extending the suspension until 31 December.

About time.
Time for you to lead by example.
"A scare which promptly concluded when within the hour, CDC officials determined that the people exhibiting flu-like symptoms were, in fact, not contagious. "
1. The CDC just happened to have officials with full hazmat waiting at Newark?
2. Does "not contagious" mean that these persons do not have ebola or only that the CDC officials at Newark 'decided' that these persons are not contagious with ebola?
3. How did the CDC officials in Newark make this determination within ONE hour?
This sounds like it might have been a dog and pony show to mollify the public that CDC is vigilent at the airports and that definitive lightening fast determinations as status as contagious can be made.
When do they confirm where this guy was from. If he was from Liberia than this is the opposite of a dog and pony show. This makes the nurse at the dallas hospital look like Dustin Hoffman in Outbreak.
Not contagious? I guess they were just drunk
"...3. How did the CDC officials in Newark make this determination within ONE hour?..."
Easy. The iPhone 6 has a Polymerase Chain Reaction app (free) you can download. Replicate a bunch of copies of any genetic material and run them through the DNA sequencing app ($1.99)
To replicate, you just identify the type of genetic material you're looking for with the drop-down menu - pick Zaire Ebolavirus. Insert blood or other nasty bodily fluids into the headphone jack on the side of your iPhone. Next, split the double-stranded DNA molecule into it's two component strands by swiping your finger over the DNA double-helix icon until it splits in two. Chose the particular sequence of interest - ebola envelope protein in this case - and hit the Amplify button on you screen. Polymerase and primers are added automagically. A Pac-man icon will appear to gobble up the sequence of interest and spit out two identical copies into a bucket, plus another Pac-man. They will then repeat the process, creating more copies and more Pac-men. You want a few million copies in the bucket, but don't go nuts because the bucket will overflow, your memory will fill up and the iPhone IOS will crash.
When the DNA copies bucket is almost full, drag it over to the X-treme Sequencer icon (looks like Data's head) and hit the 'Make it so' button. It will take several minutes, so it's best to set a ringtone to sound when the sequencing is complete. Alternatively, you can have Data send a tweet or SMS message to tell you when he's finished.
That's pretty much it. The results window will either show a magnifying glass with a big red 'X' if nothing was found, or it will show a spinning tombstone spouting blood if any ebola protiens were detected. The CDC is automatically notified if ebola was detected, but you can turn off 'location services' and the bastards won't be able to find you for a while. There's also a Useful Links window with helpful services like where to purchase FEMA blue leak-proof body bags and casket liners, powerwasher rental sites and all the mobile apps for all major airline ticketing sites. There's an Ask the CDC messaging button, but it does not appear to work on this version.
Oh yeah sure, thank our lucky stars for the iphone app.
That's fucking bullshit.
All the CDC did really was ask, "Yo! You all contagious n shit?"
They said no, and all is well.
21 days and we'll know.
+10000 ajax. I can't stop laughing - that's got to be one of the funniest posts I have ever seen here.
Yours was funnier, 10,000 times better if you know what I mean.
The 2 down votes believe that Steve Jobs is still alive...
I just downloaded the most important app of 'm all: "Get My Ass Outta Here ASAP" app.
Kudos to you, paveway, your post is super! You had me going for a sec.....
I gave it away right at the start with the bit about denturing ebola DNA into single strands.
Everyone knows that ebola is made up of single-stranded negative-sense RNA. No denaturing required. It's like a photographic negative. Just put the sample in your iPhone and start replicating away!
That had to have been a real gut-buster for all the genetic engineering types out there. Ebola DNA? [uproarious laughter] STOP IT - 'yer killin me already!
Well, there would be some denaturing involved during thermocycling generating amplicons.
Conventional RT-PCR is a more sensitive method than antigen detection ELISAs and has the advantage of rendering samples noninfectious before use. However, current RT-PCR assays are not capable of detecting all known subtypes of Ebola virus, and they are not compatible with emerging rapid nucleic acid analysis systems. This explains the false negative findings we are seeing.
Several rapid nucleic acid analysis systems use a fluorogenic probe-based assay to monitor the accumulation of PCR product in real time. With these assays, it is possible to detect a positive sample in 1 h or less. Fluorogenic probes are not incorporated into the design of conventional RT-PCR assays; therefore, these assays are not capable of being monitored on real-time nucleic acid analysis systems. Instead, following RT-PCR, which is routinely performed as two separate steps (an RT step and a PCR step), samples must be analyzed by gel electrophoresis. The total assay time for conventional RT-PCR, including data analysis by gel electrophoresis, can be 3 to 4 h.
PCR is a highly sensitive, specific, and rapid assay but with varying strains emerging in such a rapid rate due to mutation, I am not sure how effective it would be.
Miffed
Showoff.
Keep it coming...
Well, I have no clue what you just said (it's all greek to me) but I agree with ZeroHead and yeah keep it coming!
Good to see you doing what you do best Miffed :)
He's a science fiction writer.
So, did they test them for the virus or just take their temperature and release them into the population? Can you determine someone has the virus from a 2 hour observation and an interview?
Just curious how that works.
It's mark to fantasy medical style, silly.
Brilliant comment 'chunga', unfortunately it would appear to be oh so too too true.
I'm working hard to atone for my profanity laced tirades yesterday.
Been meaning to clean up my language in general lately....ah...fuck that.
"I'm working hard to atone for my profanity laced tirades yesterday.

Me too chunga,
cheers.
definitive testing takes several days. This would be more like "did you actually EAT any fruit bats? Oh, they were from Mali not Liberia? OK, have a nice day."
(guy pukes and bleeds out ten days later)
The "airport health controllers" take your temperature in Monrovia airport with a handheld thermometer which they don't even know how to operate. All you have to do to get to the USA is to ingest some aspirin or ibuprofen to lower your temperature an hour before the flight.
Can you believe this shit?
or drink ice water.
The swine flu fraud of 2009 has already disappeared down the memory hole. They ( the CDC) claimed up to 20 million were infected. They were lying: none were infected. None.
They lie.
This is just another government hoax.
how did they lie?
"up to" 20 million includes all the numbers between 0 and 20 million.
you just can't handle the truth, the government is here to help.
I recall that time very well. I used to donate blood regularly. They had to add "Do you have H1N1?" and "Have you been in contact with anybody suspected to have SARS?"
The nurse told me point blank that there has never been anybody reported with H1N1 in our entire jurisdiction. (population of 12million) This was after SARS Fest.
She also said she NEVER gets flu shots.
Never get flu shots. Never get any vaccine except maybe small pox.
ummm...I had the swine flu in 2009, which caused a respitory issue that I had to get antibiotics for. I think it started with one of my kids who infected the entire family. I get the skeptisism but I think the swine flu was a big deal in terms of the spread.
Jugdish
You had bronchitis. You didn't have "Swine Flu."
THEY LIE, DUDE.
I went to the dr for both the flu and the respitory problem. They tested me for flu and said i had swine flu, they also said I had a respitory infection and gave me antibiotics for that...not the flu.
Had the Swine flu, as did my son. That was the sickest l had ever been. Poor kid ended up with pneumonia. I hope the study showing we now have additional immunity to all flu is correct.
Unfortunately antibiotics are no good against viruses. Only good for bacterial infections.
like when you get vomit in your lungs because of influenza?
Oh you just drown from that, silly.
SARS, bird flu, swine flu, MAD COW DISEASE, AIDS, Y2K (computer flu), and now ebo-laaaa.
Just shut up and get vaccinated already, Proles.
The temples at Siam Reap were empty of howlies during the first or second. I get them confused, the names they assign to the events that is.
Both my children had it or at least tested positive for type A in the hospital so it was assumed that they had it. My son got very dehydrated and needed several boluses of fluid.
@Seize Mars
If you think this is fake, step up, be a man and put your money where your mouth is - hop a flight to Liberia and hang with the brothers. Let us know how it works out for you.
MeatTrapper
Why exactly would I do that? "Manning up" means facing reality. Your .gov is a liar, thief and murderer. Oh but that medical data is right as rain though, LOL.
Sieze, of course the government lies. Sometimes they kill too, like the 3,000 in The Towers. Sometimes they lie and kill at the same time.
Ebola Loose Ends: The Patients, Their Employer, The Plane, The Serum, The Company, Its Funding, The Sudden Entry Of The World Bank, and The Oddly Silent Administration
Don't know about 20 mil.
I know I got it. I know it sucked.
Shit and puke at the same time 24/7 for 4 days. Dropped 12 lbs. Didnt feel 100% for 3 weeks.
Gulfstream G650 - Ebola free
'cept if the `terrorists' load it up with carriers and drop them off in major cities.
And THAT was what I was thinking about for the last couple of months but didn't want to say...
The terrorists are assholes like you ...
I'd like to know who bought ebola boy's ticket...they ain''t cheap...$1500

I think the Onion is right about it takeing 30 white people dead before any intitutional changes happen. Carry on an keep cashing those pension checks. Once those checks stop, thats when pensioners will have no choice but to take notice.
I don't know who CDC Director Tom Frieden is working for, but it sure as hell isn't American health interests.
Dual-citizen, right?
with the way the us is going, you'd have to be an idiot not to get a 2nd citizenship, doesn't even matter which one.
Check out the dual citizenship of the good doctor Frieden
That's why I ask if his other nationality has the same open door policy to Ebola carriers?? Shouldn't this crucial post go to someone without conflicted loyalties? 3,000 people were killed on 9/11. Israelis were dancing.
I didn't always feel but do now that "American health interests" are not to "do no harm" but to sell/prescribe as many pills and/or emergency care as will keep doctors and hospitals collecting money from US gov... and ebola will do that PLUS (bonus) reduce US population (reducing free-shit army).
The answer is to only allow official and military flights to these countries. Health workers can go on official flights, and be properly quarantined upon returning as a routine matter. The USG could do this easily if they put their minds to it.
Exactly, why would a health care worker want to return to his/her spouse and children without going through quarantine?
Damned if I'll sign it. If they want to play chicken with ebola, I'm game. I don't have enough cartridges anyhow. Bring it on.
If you are part of ISIS/IL whoever the hell "they" are, it would be to simple to keep sending ebolo carriers over here. Seriously, starting a panic here would not be hard. Timing is perfect, we have a completely FUBAR gubmint that could not care less. The sheeple are clueless and live in lala land, as long as they have the latest i-pod and Kim the fat assed girl tweets them, life as they know it is good. They would vote Obozo the clown right back in if he could run again. Surrounded by clueless stupid ass morons.
Its depressing, shocking and revealing all at the same time. For example, Democracy is doomed to failure when all these lard-asses are supposed to be the citizens making it work. Its too easy for the banksters to placate and anesthethize the masses.
I love that all training I got from the government on viruses says be afraid but now they are telling me not to be.....BS!!!
If one is subject to chem or bio (germ) attack, the guidance is to.....wait for it.....
STAY PUT and shelter in place. Even if it's terrifying and even if you die.
DO NOT SPREAD THE CHEM OR BIO AGENT by moving.
So, uh, international flight? Not so much.
And...don't forget to wash your hands!
'specially before and after your rub and tug. Mr Potatoe doesn't like to get icky things on his raw parts.
Should have capitalized this -> SHELTER IN PLACE. Was contracting in North Carolina when they had that huge ice storm last winter. Tried to get out, said screw it. Turned around, went back into work. Roads ended up jammed and completely iced over, people abandoned their vehicles on the interstates and got out and walked. Meanwhile I enjoyed the benefits of a free run of the entire building, and they were serving free pizza and drinks at the hotel next door which was just a short walk.
I signed it. F this government. I want them to look like the fools they are.
i signed it with my real name: ben dover
Great, good chance Preezy will wish to follow up with you in person!
If he does I hope Reggie never finds out.
IN THE HOLE!
