Tuesday Humor? Spain's Ebola Containment Protocols

Tyler Durden's picture

We noted earlier the insider's account of the dismal protocols in place for managing Ebola in Spain's hospitals... but a picture paints a thousand highly contagious words...

This is how a spanish hospital is isolating an ebola-infected nurse

The spanish government has been dismantling public hospitals ever since they won the elections.

"It was reported at the outset that no protocols or realistic training to address this situation because they are procedures for which you must train: you can not teach a person to put on a suit that costs so much to put it in 20 minutes , "

This is the first case of ebola detected in Europe and the spanish government is to blame for it.

They might want to switch to velcro or (2) sided tape... It would be a shame if some homeless person or child accidentially wandered down the wrong corridor because 'Nurse Rachet' ran out of shipping tape.

I could build a better isolation unit in my garage with a $200 trip to home depot. Keep people in there 21 days and find out what they have. Unbelievable.

All you need is a supporting frame, polythene sheeting, velcro tape (for doors), a fan, and vacuum cleaner HEPA filters. That will actually do, and despite all the naysayers - run-of-the-mill domestic vacuum HEPA cartridges actually DO work.

Not a bad idea; If the cage has a static charge then particals will be attacted to it and stick allowing a stronger charge to fry those particals.

Might as well laugh?

Seems to be the best medicine next to crying for those hospital workers that already have a good idea what they are up against but are forced into using "chewing gum" and paper clips (circa that other flu ironically named after this same Country in 1918), as a health safety precaution, only because their own government(s) have other ideas and more importantly other interests in the welfare of the general public they have been entrusted to protect in managing a deadly virus!

Lack of one's own dignity and self-reliance really sucks in the face of world wars and pandemics you neither wanted or  started in the first place!

It had to happen sooner or later. It seems there is this huge commotion in Spain, not because every Spaniard might be dead from Ebola in a year, but because the govt ordered a possibly infected dog to be put to sleep.

My take is simple as ever.

Spain, like Portugal, is a country where people became accustomed to a new order of priorities since free money poured out of the EU in the early 90s. Money that we now know came partly from US taxpayers in the form of QE1, 2 and 3.

Demographics are terrible because everyone now prefers comfort over independence, leaving their parents' home sometimes at 40, and most people opt for having no children out of a desire to maintain their life standard equal as they would if they were single forever.

In the first year of austerity measures here, when pensions and salaries were cut, there was a demonstration on a main avenue because some thousand persons wanted tax exemptions due to the fact that they owned pets.

It is on the mainstream considered brutal and savage to hit an animal even if it means the defense of an attacked human.

This may or may not be off-topic but one thing it is: socialism.

My thinking is it will hit the Obama immigrant voters hardest and public healthcare too, they live in the highest densities, and have the least access to healthcare or good hygene.

In many parts of LA particularly downtown, the immigrant households store their "used tissue" in bathroom transcans not out of some stupid cultural propensity but out of self preservation of the overworked household toilet systems.

Your typical LA 1-2 bed  Apartment isn't set up to service a dozen adult crappers, and your typical LA house isn't set up to serve 12-14 people, they just don't have the commercial plumbing capacity.

The LA Times even did a series on living in a high density immigrant household and "the bathroom trashcan".

Obama is a truly evil son of a bitch.

Smitty - your post includes one item of extreme interest. None of the African countries where Ebola is raging have indoor flush toilets, which means no sewers, which means no central sewage plant. People poop in the woods (or in the case of Accra Ghana, on the beach.) But all European and US cities and towns have flush toilets. So if Ebola gets even a tiny hold in the US, long before an infected person becomes symptomatic they are gonna be crapping and flushing their virus load down the toilet, into the sewer, and then onwards to the sewage plant. Along the way all the things that live in the sewer are going to be dining on the drifting banquet, and we already know that rats are asymptomatic Ebola carriers. So rats get the virus, leave the sewers to look for food in and around restaurants, homes, playgrounds, etc etc. Rat doodee will be literally crawling with Ebola virus. Classic disease vector.

White House, senior administration officials hold a briefing on the U.S. government’s response to the Ebola epidemic.

At the end of the briefing not knowing his microphone is switched on, Major Garrett can be heard saying to two other White House officials,

“We are screwed!”

He then goes on to say…

“I am feeling a little fluey, give me kiss.”

The other official pushes him away jokingly and the female official says…

“If the DC result shows positive this could go off the grid.”

We have nothing to fear..cough cough ..except fear itself

I'm deeply frightened that Mr. Obama sent the troops to Africa to combat Ebola.

They can't even stop the spread of STDs.

This is not the only aburdity of the day. Drudge is running a democratic banner with "EBOLA" which at first glance identifies Obama with ebola. The NWO is comprised of a bunch of F'n simpletons. Yes! We shall come rejoicing bringing in the thieves.

Instead of senate bean soup in DC, the illegals will be serving Ebola soup.

Scores of Chinese Merchants have already traveled out of Liberia and Sierra Leone creating another contamination vector and destroying the economic fiber of the west African countries.  God helps us if it does travel to China.

I'm more scared of Stormfront's sock puppet armies that accuse Mr. Duncan of purposely spreading it.

Um, our healthcare system is lackey.  I was sick with the tummy flu in July and they sent me home from the ER with Zofrin and NO tests.  And that 20 minute visit costs $600 including the $28 for the FOUR Zofrin pills.

Which I had to go through hurdles to get Medical to pay for like they said they would.  (they have so many hidden rules that it's very shady).

I'm fortunate, I think I had a condition- not a virus and nobody who lived in the house I was living in had any inkling of a stomach bug, thank God.

But who WANTS to make themselves sick?  on purpose?

These stormfront racists are inbred without help from a virus.  You can call this epidemic a "hoax"?  I can personally vouch for the ineptness of the medical fasciliites in the U.S. before and during Obamacare.

BTW. Studies have proven that breastmilk cures ebola. Does that trigger a field trip to Hooters?  Free HGH to the fairer sex in the U.S.?

Gawd, this bit of political theater is horrible.  i'm glad I don't have kids, they wouldn't be allowed to watch any programming from the U.S. except for sports.  I don't think I want to raise kids in this country with crap government, tweakers up your ass out of nowhere, thieving bankers, generational theft, raunchy people and as a consequence raunchy media.

Sorry-the scare tactics used in 9/11 and here are well- not scaring me.  IT's giving me the momentum to slap journalists and PR CEOs everywhere with a wet carp with a rock in it's mouth.
THen I bitchslap all of them, virociously shake them and tell them to all get a grip.

I wouldnt' do any of it except to get my frusterations out.

Dear Mr.Durden.

I recommend you that you get some kind of knowledge before you quote certain sources. Público is the most anti government biased piece of shit pamphlet that you can find in spanish press.

The whole situation sucks, and the government are idiots, but Público? Really?
