Markets In Turmoil Update
BTFD'ers are absent as markets everywhere are in turmoil. Commodities are sliding with WTI plunging (almost a bear market from June highs) and copper crumbling. The USD is slightly lower (3rd day in a row). Treasury yields are slightly lower. But it is stocks that are turmoiling most as the Dow nears unchanged year-to-date. After the dramatic ramp off the lows last week, stocks have entirely roundtripped and then some to fresh cycle lows, led by Trannies and Small caps. VIX is back over 18. In Europe, stocks tanked once again with DAX closing below 9,000 for the first time this year.
Stocks have roundtripped and worse from last Thursday's lows...
Commodities are sliding this morning with WTI plunging...
Brent-WTI hovering at 3.50 as they both plunge...
JCP and SHLD are crashing...
and Europe is even worse...

D-D-Deflation
Public Service Announcement: 'When the Fed's subsidies are removed, prices will adjust, they will adjust immediately, and they will adjust on NO VOLUME'. Stanley Druckemiller - September 2013, broadcasting precisely how malignant the Fed's system is, as it enlists the gamers to enrich themselves on the way up, then pummel the sheep on the way down. Totally an inside game.
Make sure to pass this along to all of the folks who have rather elected to stuff their heads in the sand and point at the Russell ... how's the Russell now, Janet?
If we do indeed get our Black Swan / Ebola crash, conveniently concocted to cull the population, get the sheep in line, and avert any blame from its true owner, Mrs. Debtfire, then make sure to pass this along folks ... and the Fed will finally be ended.

The FED subsidy system is hitting the wall, printing buttloads of new money won't do anything if there is nowhere for it to go...
Wrong link. Sorry. Druck. Very much worth a view if you haven't seen it. Can't believe they allowed him on the set. Unlike the other chumps they invite, he is too respected to be yelled over.

Right, wake me when you can take delivery for the prices we paid in 1999...
idiot.
You are clueless
hoo cares about 1999?
Deflation means year over year price change
In 1999 I could afford gas for my vehicle.
Now the gas they sell won't work in a 1999 vehicle
Prince partied like it was 1999
Year over year? LMFAO!!!!! I want to be in business more than a fucking year you ignorant tool. No, you are an idiot. 1999, that's only 14 years, that's not very long. I certainly expect to live more that 14 years asshat. Moreover I want the business to outlive me.
Show me the fucking deflation in energy, food, healthcare, education, and rents you useless fucking tool. Show me that $50 dollar oil. Come on, let's see some real deflation you stupid fuck. My business runs on diesel, bring it on motherfucker.
Get back in the basement dipshit.
haha
let me guess ... your anger stems from you buying quite a bit of er, "commodities" the past few years?
The man was expressing his opinion, not ass fucking your wife. Take a stress pill.
Methinks, LawsofPhysics, that you doth protest too much......
Serious question: How much does it cost the Fed to move the S&P up 20 points by buying those ES mini futures? Is it just like $100 million or something?
Depends on what is being spent to pound it down ...
does it matter how much it costs? can it even be determined? Is there any limit to the funds that the central banks can secretly conjur up to buy stocks off the books, through proxies?
I suppose not, but if the price is low, it just seems like even more of a kick in the balls.
If they are going to manipulate various markets to force us into doing what they want, its worth wondering about the relative costs of say, driving gold down or the S&P up or widing some bond spread.
Though shorts found rewards, particularly my beloved Russell, wanted to remind fellow traders that on many FOMC days, pre-positioning algos seem to trace out an arc of possibility covering potential best/worst case scenarios. While it’s obvious global concerns are part of today’s mix, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a portion of losses clawed back, starting now or their favorite 12:30 time, to reach a happy medium, likely still negative, before the text-parsers get to work at 1:59. Sure, could be “different this time”, but given the treacherous nature of trading FOMC days, perhaps discretion is the better part of valor . . . good luck to one and all . . .
Yikes! Glad I followed my own advice.
The last time I saw "VIX" (or Vicks) slammed this suddenly to the ground was when my grandmother tried to put VapoRub on my 4-year old brother's chest to cure a cough (persons over a certain age will know what I'm talking about).
(By the way, ever notice how, after algos trace out their pre-FOMC levels, both high and low stops are usually taken out, rather rudely, in the first 20 min. after 2:00? Can't be rigged, must be another, perhaps psychological, explanation for this peculiar phenomenon.)
Take that Putin.
Putin doesnt care, he is still high on popularity. These guys had a currency crisis that wiped them in 98. Do you really think they are going to care if it happens again?
Putin is just gonna wait until the cold weather hits and then its time to buy Natty in Rubles....boom problem solved
I was under the impression Russia doesn't have currency crises...they simply revalue their currency and call it all good.
it's about time the dip-buyers got fucked upside down.
I started turning my head to picture this.
BTFD only works if the market goes back up.
Dip Buyers must have confidence that the criminals at the Fed can keep the market recovering from declines, indefinitely.
Still, BTFD, is just a profane, "edgy" new name for largely unwise market timing
Annnnnnd... we're green (dow).
"Works every time."
Honestly, I wish ZH would just STFU and let the thing go down.
zh has perfect timing again. green in 3, 2, 1...
no disrespect to ZH but it is just fucking uncanny!
I'm guessing, buzzsaw99, that if you had a coupla' trillion to create and play with, you wouldn't have to guess on your Market Timing Calls.
Then again, in a coupla' years, several trillion might just buy a loaf of bread...Assuming there are still wheat farmers...and bakers...and stores...

Jesus fucking christ can we just stop declaring this 'plunging' bullshit once and for all?
Absolutely disgusting.
wrong Saviour - supplant ovomit for Christ & it is fixed

It's all good.
fed trading desk & algo's flipped this one big time almost straight up alighly after 11am on what news - death of Texan?
Thanks Tyler, you time-stamped the short-term bottom for me for the 32nd time. What's the difference between fading these ZH reports and fading Gartmann?
nothing now that the algos have caught one. Hey, good for us.
Can we please have an opposite day, when ZH says the market is going much, much higher?
Yesterday was a remarkable Tuesday.
Get to work Mr. Gutenberg!

I still say they chose Yelken for the collapse. Bernanke would have been hanged upside down before he reached his helicopter.
DOW should end up 300-600 points today!!!
This should help the profits of Twitter, Facebook Verizon, AT&T, Qwest and all the supporting technology companies that that provide the interfaces that make the NSA and your local law enforcement "responsible" in protecting your freedoms both at home and abroad in this Democratic Republic we enjoy!
And the best part is you don't have to commit a crime at all?... Just let the professionals at the Fort do all the work in making you one, so that you don't have to!
Maybe Clapper will get a bonus for each of these revelations that keep popping up!!!
Is this article a signal to the markets to reverse?
Look what the S&P did starting at 11:17 AM (EDT) when this article was published:

Amazing how many times this sort of event seems to happen after ZH posts this sort of article...
The phone rings at the Belgium tentacle of the FED as soon as it's posted.

Belgium goalie makes a stick save
Good Grief , are most of you guys playing weekly options or something? This mofo is going down but cool the jets on a 1-2 day event. Damn thing is topping as we speak.
Dont fiddle fart with the weeklies unless its just spending money.
If you want sure things, pick out a couple bio-techs with NO REVENUE and billion(s) of dollar mkt caps. Or PCLN, former growth leader below every moving avg AND having to deal with this Ebola shit.
Don't worry Europe will close eventually. We're green again already.
