CDC AUTHORIZED EBOLA AIRLINE FLIGHT

George Washington's picture

Staggering Negligence

The Centers for Disease Control said that the second nurse to catch Ebola at the Dallas hospital shouldn't have flown commercially.

But as CBS News reports, the CDC itself authorized her flight in advance:

In the case of Amber Vinson, the Dallas nurse who flew commercially as she was becoming ill with Ebola, one health official said "somebody dropped the ball."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that Vinson called the agency several times before flying, saying that she had a fever with a temperature of 99.5 degrees. But because her fever wasn't 100.4 degrees or higher, she didn't officially fall into the group of "high risk" and was allowed to fly.

Update: Confirmed by NBC News.

Top U.S. Military Leaders are Worried About Ebola

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff – the American top military leader –  told CNN today:

“If you bring two doctors who happen to have that specialty [i.e. doctors who are experts in Ebola] into a room, one will say, ‘No there is no way it will ever become airborne, but it could mutate so it could be harder to discover,’ ” and another might say something completely different, Dempsey said.

He said he is alarmed by the World Health Organization’s warning that Ebola cases could increase and the virus could mutate.

“Then it will be an extraordinarily serious problem,” he said. “I don’t know who is right. I don’t want to take that chance, so I am taking it very seriously.”

The head of the U.S. Southern Command – the branch of the U.S. military responsible for all U.S. military activities in South America and Central America – says:

There is no way we can keep Ebola [contained] in West Africa.

If it breaks out [in Central America], it’s literally, ‘Katie bar the door,’ and there will be mass migration into the United States … They will run away from Ebola, or if they suspect they are infected, they will try to get to the United States for treatment.

[I saw how easy it is for illegals to enter the United States. While visiting the border of Costa Rica and Nicaragua with U.S. embassy personnel, I saw a group of men] waiting in line to pass into Nicaragua and then on their way north.

The embassy person walked over and asked who they were and they told him they were from Liberia and they had been on the road about a week. They met up with the network in Trinidad and now they were on their way to the United States — illegally, of course.

[The men] could have made it to New York City and still be within the incubation period for Ebola.

And he said:

The nightmare scenario, I think, is right around the corner.

A U.S. Border Patrol agent – and vice president of the National Border Patrol Council #3307 – agrees that mass migration could spread Ebola to the U.S. , and says that “NOTHING” has been done to secure the border in the event the Ebola virus spreads to Central America.

In all seriousness, 99.4 is not a "fever". Has never been.

Nurse was lying to CDC - She knows that 99.4 is not a fever. She wanted to travel anyway. So much for self reporting...

Eeew, thanks for that Transmission Vector scene, Hardly Zero. After I finished LMAO, I decided that maybe, per your advice, I will stand, not sit and not touch anything while in public, ever again! It's gonna make grocery shopping a little tricky though. Other than that, I don't really have to leave my home for anything. Except for work, which is auditing retail inventory. No risk there, right?

This virus is 'only' 48% fatal in the African outbreak and isn't really spreading that fast. However, how would a typical Liberian compare to a typical American as far as mobility and daily person to person contact goes?

the real threat from ebola is how it exposes the so called national response to an emergency. its just like HURRICANE KATRINA, everyone thought FEMA and the NAT Guard were going to handle the problem (made worse by the army corps of engineers, whose work on the levees was defunded by Bush) you could just write off the army corps of eng at that point to a lack of funds, but at the same time Bush defunded the levee repairs, he wanted to build a TRILLION dollar mexican border security fence, to protect us from radical catholics?. and he had taken the Iraq war off balance sheet. (shoudd been impeached on that one) Obama isn't much different. Obama was late fixing the VA, now the CDC is blowing up in his face, and the stock market tanks, but Janet Yellen so far says no thanks. who calls who first on that account do you suppose? game of chicken i believe. do all yiddish folks love the american negro? wait and see.

What?!?  I cannot stand the Bushes as they are the same people as the Clintons and Obama.

However, each levee has their own commission in each parish.  It is a gigantic money sucking theft mechanism where money is allocated and wasted.  Amazing corrupt Louisiana patronage crony system.

New Orleans was so concerned about the levees that they forked over $450 million in benefits to keep the Saints in NO before hurricane Katrina.

The damn city of New Orleans is below sea level and is surrounded by water.   Unless you get the Dutch to build the levees then that place is going to flood in a bad hurricane.

It is interesting that this EBOLA problem is bringing so many things to the front line:

1)  Obama's reliance on Yes men who cannot help him with the truth.

2)  DRs mistreatment of Nurses.

3)  Arrogance of CDC officials.

etc

This will not turn out well..

The Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Chairman of The Joint Chiefs of Staff have Reefer Madness, and it will mutate tomorrow via press coverage of their collective paranoia across America. We all know the US ARMY had the antidote before they unleashed weaponized Ebola on the world. We all know that they know it can indeed mutate if it was non-weaponized Ebola, but this is weaponized Ebola and it may be unable to mutate for all we know about it genetically. Moreover, the CDC patents on Ebola link it to weaponization by the USA. I, for one, think the vectoring process is interesting given that we all know there is a total denial that Ebola will make it to North America with large degrees of incidence. The denial will soon change to horror, terror, and mass contagion. Hang on to your keyboards, folks. We are in for one hell of a ride here on Z/H and in real life in the next few months.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Rock On Roger, but I am a Canadian. I am a next door neighbour to our best friends and trading partner buds south of our border that we like to call 'the Yanks'. Canadians are allowed to poke fun at the Americans because they short our dollar, and cause capital flight

away from our currency towards their own. They wipe their collective boots on us like we are door mats and they complain when we want to trade with BRICS nations instead of Uncle Sam who turned out to be slightly more pathologically insane than we ever figured old Uncle Sam could get. Today we mollify, tomorrow we might scratch them off our Christmas card list if this shit keeps up.

Every person, in every country, does the same world reference.  Don't believe me?  Ask a North Korean who has the greatest athletes ever.  Ask who makes the best food.  Ask which country is the world jealous of.  NORTH KOREA.

Everyone who is not a North Korean knows that when a North Korean refers to the 'world', the North Korean really means North Korea.

A person could just as well transpose whichever religion they wanted and get the same type statements.

When I was in another country, the humane society for pets was called the SPCA.  For some reason in the USA, it' has to be called the ASPCA.  Why is the American designation even necessary?

Also, no other country has sporting events that crown the winners as World Champions, unless that event is truly international like the World Cup.  But both the football and baseball winners are called world champions, not just American champions.

This can only mean that we can expect a massive government over-reaction right before the mid-term elections in a few weeks. For shits and giggles, let's all draft a copy of the speech we know is coming from Obama on the "ebola crisis". The highlights will include:

1) chronic government under-funding and obstruction by the Republicans leading to the brave bureaucrats of the CDC trying nobly but somehow failing to battle this dread disease

2) A tripling of humanitarian relief to the democratic, liberal regimes of West Africa

3) emergency grants of $1B to Democrat donor-backed anti-virus biotech companies

4) emergency pay increases for all unionized public hospital healthcare workers and nurses

There will be no mention of travel bans, border security, or anything else that could actually help.

The bullshit piles up so fast....

They present a pretty convincing argument.  However, what is happening in W Africa is real, and that Duncan fellow, well he's no longer with us.  I suppose the tail can wag the dog if you have enough insiders willing to face the consequences of exposure.  What ever happened to any of the people involved in the cases Rappoport cites?  Probably nothing.

Obama is finished, except to go down in history as a traitor, the first Pestilence of the United States (see what I did there?)

This event seals his career in public life, he won't last out his term. If he tries to be a dictator explicitly I expect to see someone with the means object. If they don't, we will. He brought it here, he's not going to be able to leverage that into more power over his victims. The democrat party is also finished, no one is on record objecting to the continued flights, even after a domestic outbreak. And Duncan was wave one, prior to President Pimp's hanging out the welcome mat.  In a few months the southern border will be bristling with citizen guns if it isn't bristling with military weapons.  This is a singularity. Everything changes.
