After Golfing, Obama Holds Late Ebola Meeting - Guess Who Missed It (Again)!

Tyler Durden's picture

Given the pressure to act and apparent urgency to calm the public over the Ebola pandemic, it is likely no surprise to hear that President Obama decided to play a quick round of golf (for 5 hours) Saturday morning before arranging a late evening meeting convening "members of his national security and public health teams to update him on the response to the domestic Ebola cases," according to The Daily News. "The meeting concluded with a discussion of broader steps to increase the preparedness of our health sector nationwide," which one would imagine the newly appointed Ebola Czar would be directing - think again!

The full list of everyone who attended, according to the White House, is:

  • The Vice President
  • Chuck Hagel, Secretary of Defense
  • Sylvia Burwell, Secretary of Health and Human Services
  • Jeh Johnson, Secretary of Homeland Security
  • Denis McDonough, Chief of Staff
  • Shaun Donovan, Director of the Office of Management and Budget
  • Susan Rice, National Security Advisor
  • Neil Eggleston, Counselor to the President
  • Antony Blinken, Deputy National Security Advisor
  • Lisa Monaco, Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism
  • Thomas Frieden, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • Katie Beirne Fallon, Director of the Office of Legislative Affairs
  • Benjamin Rhodes, Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications and Speechwriting
  • Jennifer Palmieri, Director of Communications
  • Anita Decker Breckenridge, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations
  • Suzanne George, Executive Secretary and Chief of Staff of the National Security Council
  • Rand Beers, Deputy Assistant to the President for Homeland Security
  • Brian Egan, Deputy Counsel to the President
  • Colin Kahl, National Security Advisor to the Vice President

Ron Klain, who was appointed Ebola Czar on Friday by Obama, is not on this list... and this is the second meeting in as many days that the man in charge of 'implementing a solution'.

Who could have guessed that!

Thomas E. Duncan was admitted to Texas Presb. on September 30th.   Deceased on October 8th.   Today is October 19th.   EMT personnel, sheriff's deputies and a host of others were 'exposed' to him and/or his the effects of his 'wake' the same day.

Other than Nurse Nina Pham, whose condition 4 days ago was Downgraded from 'good' to 'fair' and not a peep has been heard of since, what have we heard of the other 'exposed' people...?  They may be able to 'put the lid' on her, nurse Vinson and the other hospital personnel (for a while), but they won't be able to keep a lid on something coming out of Frontier flight 1143 - if it should occur that somebody on that plane comes down with the stuff.   The next (60) days...

On Being Culturally And Biologically Enriched by West Africa’s Ebola Zone

But in some ways, we in the United States have reached a new level of corruption and incompetence. 27 African presidents have instituted travel restrictions in response to Ebola. But our own President, as recently as his Saturday radio address, has again refused to follow suit, either out of Political Correctness or a simple indifference to Americans. [Obama: ‘We can’t give in to hysteria or fear’ of Ebola, by Greg Jaffe and Amy Brittain, Washington Post, October 18, 2014].

We aren’t a First World country, or even a Third World country. We’re becoming something even worse.

....seems like Ebola would harm commerce. Then I remembered TPTB war among themselves. So short airlines and long anything to do with materials needed for a pandemic? WTF is a sheeple to do?

Does anyone remember "the Peter principle"? Is it still quoted?

If this is the result of warring oligarchs, and it turns into a pandemic, all oligarchs are fucked.  Even if they can fly away to some remote island and wait it out, they'd still come back to a bunch of survivors who are self reliant and used to the prospect of death.  They could whine about how things are theirs all they want.  If anybody gave a shit, it would be the kind of giving a shit that involves putting a bullet in the former oligarch's brains.

Pandemics can destroy power structures.  The Justinian plague stopped imperial expansion.  The end of the black death saw aristocrats working their own fields.  Anything that breaks society down, and with our JIT distribution system we are vulnerable to a breakdown, breaks down the very structures that oligarchs use for control.  Men with guns who would break down your door to do the government's bidding will think twice if they think it might result in them bleeding out from their assholes.  It might take a few of them catching the disease to wake them up to this, but in a real pandemic, they would be just as scared as everybody else. Think of it this way:  How are oligarchs and police going to fuel the vehicles if oil field workers are scared to show up to work?  How are they going to keep their food from spoiling if power plant workers are scared to show up to work?  They're not.

That's why I don't think this is a move of warring oligarchs.  Peter principle though?  Abso-fucking-lutely.

The only person there with any medical or biological credentials whatsoever was Thomas Frieden...

The rest are all political hacks.

No one from The American College of Epidemiology??
No one from the National Academy of Sciences????

Anyone remember that the reason for the Challenger disaster was found only after tapping the NAS for Richard Feynman--

Note that Feynman eventually resigned his membership in the NAS because of their elitist snob attitude and incestuous membership selection method.(although he claimed [while LOL]  that the reason for his resignation was ostensibly because the dunned him for two years back dues, and anyway they didn't really do anything of interest to him)

That's because it's all theater!  Yep, that's right folks, you're being fooled.  There is absolutely NOTHING to worry about.  The truth is in the details.  These MF actors are good at what they do but they are not infallible.  They tend to fuck up the details, whether planned or not.  Always read between the lines.  Watch the other hand when they are presenting a certain hand.

As you look down that list, shocked to see that there is nobody from the scientific or medical or public health community (the half-wit Frieden from the now-comical big gulp CDC dumping ground does not count), you might say "Well, I'm sure the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Sylvia Burwell, at least has some relevent experience. Nope. Another pure government political bitch.

In other words, there is absolutely nobody on that list who actually knows anything that matters.

..."They will not be sent to West Africa or elsewhere overseas and will be called upon domestically only if deemed prudent by our public health professionals," Kirby said.

The team is meant to ensure the U.S. can respond quickly to a potential spread immediately as it happens, the Pentagon said.

Kirby added that Hagel is "committed" to ensuring the military is "prepared to provide appropriate capabilities…to support our government's response to this deadly disease."

Why do you say that Count Laszlo,

Has the border been closed?
Are the flights to and from west Africa halted?
Has the disease been eradicated?
Do we as a country have a plan to prevent, control, or treat the disease?
Are there enough beds and level 4 facilities to treat an outbreak?

If one self important douche bag with enough money to get a ticket can wreak this much havoc what would 10, 1000, or 10000 people like Mr. Duncan do to this country? If nothing else materializes and no one else is harmed I am thankful.

But one thing that has come from this is it has exposed a massive hole (pun intended) in the open borders policy which must be changed lo it become a national suicide pact.

It seems to me from everyone in the CDC the WHO, the talking heads and the administration that their biggest fear is the contagion effect on the economy not the public.

This breaks one of two ways:

1.) They really want the ensuing collapse but are saying otherwise and this is really an operation to damage the economy. I would tend to believe this as the administrations actions with Russia have caused more harm to the US and Europe Than Russia. Their sanctions have worked towards speeding up the de-dollarization by the BRICS followed by at the least Germany soon.

2.) Their liberal (Marxist) ideology of open borders must be maintained no matter what the cost. Again a very viable answer.

My question is what is the desired end state of this usurper? If his actions go unanswered it will be a clear signal that the sky's the limit.
