Obama's Latest Speech About The Economic "Recovery" Results In Mass Audience Exodus

Tyler Durden's picture

Yesterday, Obama made a rare campaign trail appearance in Maryland where he spoke in support of Democratic candidate for governor, Anthony Brown, proceeded with his usual bulletin of reading fabricated economic data off the teleprompter in which he highlighted improvements in US unemployment (if not the 46.5 million people on foodstamps or the 93 million Americans out of the labor force), a rebounding housing market (just as the bouncing dead cat is once again dead), the benefits of health insurance (if no mention of the disaster for small businesses that Obamacare now definitively is) a resurgent manufacturing sector (just don't look at this chart) even if he did point out the unfairness of families having "two folks working", and... a mass audience exodus followed.

This is how Reuters summarized it:

President Barack Obama made a rare appearance on the campaign trail on Sunday with a rally to support the Democratic candidate for governor in Maryland, but early departures of crowd members while he spoke underscored his continuing unpopularity.

With approval levels hovering around record lows, Obama has spent most of his campaign-related efforts this year raising money for struggling Democrats, who risk losing control of the U.S. Senate in the Nov. 4 midterm election.

It has gotten so bad, "most candidates from his party have been wary of appearing with him during their election races because of his sagging popularity," according to Reuters.

Here's why: "A steady stream of people walked out of the auditorium while he spoke, however, and a heckler interrupted his remarks."

And then this from the Free Beacon:

Many attendees of an Obama campaign rally headed for the exits shortly after the president began speaking Sunday evening.

Speaking at campaign rally in Maryland for Democratic candidate for governor Anthony Brown, Obama either ignored or didn’t notice the movement of attendees out of the event.

Reports were unclear if attendees left due to unhappiness with President Obama. Disapproval of the president is currently at an all-time high.

And then the eyewitness reports:

One thing is clear: people have had enough of both hope and change.

I spoke with a relative today, completely apolitical and more concerned with meds and TV than politics.

Even THEY said that Obama is a loose cannon, completely off the rails, and has ceased listening to the people.

Congress passes a bill, and he vetoes it - what this person said.

Nixon had better polling numbers the week he resigned.

The only bills that are passed are bills that put the thumb down on the necks of the American People. And Obama signs them.

He didn't mention that people are missing Obamacare medical cards, the Affordable Care Act payments (in already broke California) are getting their payments WAY late and there's still inadequate lethal and expensive conflicts of interests making health care ineffective to begin with.  The $20 copay I used while working WITH benefits PREVENTED thousand dollar ER visits for me and the insurance companies.

He didn't mention that you're stuck waiting on the phone for 3 hours to talk to a covered ca rep to get run around in circles to another affirmative action jerks who doesn't know what they're doing for $600 ER bills (since according th THEIR rules- they only cover ER visits outside of the county you got your card in-not small clinics which are way cheaper for pills).

He didn't mention that Unemployed are missing their checks, or their benefits ended.

What kind of poverty pimp IS he?

Like the boomers said, "the government will take care of everything!".

Cloward Piven are dangerous people.  Narcissistic ideologues and narcissistic control freaks are VERY dangerous people.

I digress, it's not Obama who ruined this country.  It's the beatnik freeloading lazy racist caucasian baby boomer voting majority kleptocracy enforced white trash caste system.

Someone must ask the question "why" this exodus of Democratic voters has just taken place in October 2014 when this should have happened in 2011 on his own campaign trail, pinning their hopes on a second term for a President that already had betrayed them on every conceivable campaign pledge he made before his first term in office... Shutting down Guantanamo, preserving and defending the Constitution which came ironically with his signature on the worst abuse of power possible with the authorization of the NDAA in 2012... As well as his guarantee to remove U.S. troops from two occupation(s), a third war and a last but not least a completely bankrupt economy!

I'm just surprised he didn't show his sociopathic tendencies to lash out at the exodus of people leaving during his speech that they would all be receiving something in the parking lot or the mailbox for their collective impudence?!!!...

Hate to say this but in some respects he's right.  The American people have no one but themselves to blame for creating the monster that stands before them and continues to lie 5 1/2 years later ON EVERYTHING!...

All that really matters is that there is no way to stop the storm that thunders on the horizon; that you stand to profit from the inauguration of the next dark age…

But there is one thing you over looked.  I mean, what good is it if you don’t have the health and physical condition of a teenager to enjoy your profits?

That is, you forgot to reduce your biological age.

If you’ll follow my health regimen, you can reduce your biological age as much as 50 years – as I have done.

My health regimen involves no actors, no cosmetics; instead, I support it with real action.  I’ve had many former pro and college players tell me that if I played competitive ball at the level of a major college, I would “wreck” or “lead” the league and hit “0.700”.  Players at this level range around the age of 20; I’m 70 years of age.  Who else on the planet can do that?  Why do they say that?  Perhaps, it’s the fact that I’m currently putting on a show hitting 117-121 mph pitches (of 25 pitches, I routinely hit 15-20 into fair territory).  Go to YouTube, search “1668-85” for verification; it will lead you to a web page that explains my regimen in some detail.

I don’t promise to make anyone a professional athlete, or more beautiful… just give them the health and physical condition of what they should have had as a teenager.

Congratulations! Such a move takes a LOT of courage!

We left the USA for good in late 2009 and have never returned. We began planning to leave in the summer of 2008, figuring that, as bad a Bush-2 was, the next president would be even worse! (McCain was a known NAZI; Obama was an UNKNOWN to most voters who "sounded great", as long as one did NO research into his political history and background.)  We used those intervenning months to plan the where, when and how; to arrange the logistics, sell of various assets and especially to find housing in our new country. Our life has never been better! And we live in ODESSA, UKRAINE !!!! (Soon to move permanently to Crimea.)

We were extremely LUCKY. Fortunately, my wife (originally from Crimea) still had a LOT of family and friends in Crimea and throughout Ukraine - and she spoke Russian. We had traveled there a number of times in the years before and favored Odessa, a tourist-mecca with incredibly beautiful old buildings and enormous beaches on the Black Sea; highly favored by Europeans seeking a less expensive vacation and which (like many ancient Mediterranean area cities) contained a highly eclectic mix of MANY cultures, all highly tolerant of each other and extremely freindly to foreigners. The costs of living for everyday items was 1/10th that of the U.S. - and since 2009 the Ukraine currency has lost about 45% of its value compared to the U.S. dollar, thus nearly doubling the purchasing power of the U.S. dollar.

The fact is, that once you get to your new country, you will probably find many other American expatriates living close by, ready and eager too help. Indeed, a certain few reastaurants/bars always seem to contain groups of Americans, Canadians and British; along with people from many other countries. Less than a month after we arrived, while having dinner in the city center, we were invited to come to one American expatriates group that held weekly meetings, only one of which we attended - with at least 150 people present that evening. (This particular group was a too "evangelical" for our tastes,  but we soon found other groups.)

On a more personal note:

In no respect could we ever be described as "financially rich"; but we were "semi-scrooges" and had invested fully in IRAs, 401k's, plus bought additional mutual funds (S&P 500 index funds only) on a monthly basis without fail. We had paid off our mortgages in full early.by paying double the required monthly payments, saving enormous amounts in interest. (Better make that "full-fledged scrooges"!) BUT we were again lucky. The housing crash that has already hit the U.S. was then sweeping through Europe and many Europeans with "vacation homes" in/near Odessa (for rent or their own use) were desperate to sell !!! The building of literally dozens of high-rise condo vacation apartments buildings came to a complete halt. On our several visits we looked at many houses and apartments. One of my wife's friends (one of several already scouring the Odessa area for a house for us) came across an "advertisement" for a newly-renovated house just north of Odessa's city limits amd within a 10 minute walk to the beach. (For the most part, realtors do NOT advertise in newspapers (there are no city-wide newspapers) or online. Instead, each local branch usually posts notes - like "sticky notes" - on small wooden boards placed next to the sidewalk just outside that their office. If you happen to find an apartment or house for sale online, you can be CERTAIN that you will pay a GREAT DEAL TOO MUCH MONEY! Even different branches of the SAME real estate company post ONLY near their own office, since the agent who actually makes the sale gets the commission. So, why bother sharing infromation with your company's other branches?). MY wife's friend looked at the house with the realtor; was stunned by what she saw for such an incredibly low price; and immediately started to bargain for a lower price. Once she got the owners and realtor to agree on a price, she guaranteed the agent $1000 U.S. dollars if she "reserved" the house for a week until we arrived in Odessa from the U.S. - whether we bought the house or not. A few days later we arrived in Odessa, looked at the house, and bought it the next day, paying cash - including the promised $1000 "reservation fee" to that agent. We were ecstatic! As also agreed upon with the owners via the realtor, we did not try to bargain for an even lower price. Total cost: $78K, including all fees, licenses, taxes, etc. I personally met the owners only once the following Spring, when they had reurned to retrieve some items previously stored at a neighbor's house. In a thick German accent, the husband told me how delighted they were that they had been able to sell the house so quickly.

Second, do NOT worry much about language differences. If you attempt to learn the language and the customs, the locals will truly appreciate your efforts and you will soon fit right in. Even on the outskirts of Odessa, many people understand English - and several other languages.

Finally, people (here and in the U.S.) occasionally ask me if I have any REGRETS about leaving the U.S. To be honest, YES - but only one. One of my favorivite hobbies was competitive pistol shooting, both small bore (.22 cal) target and large bore combat style. Over the years I had accumulated a small collection of superb modern semi-auto pistols (10), plus 2 revolvers. Some were simply fun to shoot, but most were very expensive - made even more valuable and accurate by work done on them by various gunsmiths. UKraine law forbids the importation of private firearms, so I had to leave them behind in the U.S. But I left them with a friend and fellow shooter - for his use and safekeeping. And maybe some day I might get to use them again ....

Obama is a distraction. He is nothing more than an enabler for the rich classes. The miniscule increases that he has made to social welfare programs are nothing more than ways to contribute to shareholders of corporations like Wal-Mart which pay their workers low wages. We need something akin to the Progressive/Socialist movement in this country from the early 1900s, relatively socially conservative and religiously motivated but standing up for the rights of working people. It should be possible for all families to survive on the work of one member, whether male or female; two-income households should only exist by choice and not by necessity.

"It should be possible for all families to survive on the work of one member, whether male or female"

What if a family's designated working member is a polygamist horndog with six wives and 26 children?

I see a problem here.

Polygamy is not, and should not be legal. It creates wealth-based inequity by denying wives to poorer men and oppresses women who may be pressured to marry a rich man as the neglected 4th wife or whatever, rather than marrying a working-class or middle-class husband who can devote all his time to her.

One thing is clear: people have had enough of both hope and change.

People may be tired of it but its coming at them hard, fast and consistently (think landslide) with executive actions (at what point are they unconstitutional?) and with delayed action legislation that will take effect later when Obama (and likely most of the democrats in Congress) are out of office.  Afterwhich, they will begin the blame game - yet again - pointing fingers at Republicans whom had nothing to do with any of it.

What a disaster Obama is.

During my career as a Beltway bandit I worked for a couple of years in Upper Marlboro.  When it comes to being a black DC suburb UM is one of the blackest.  If Obozo can't hold the attention of a crowd of black Democrats in UM the D's are in deep trouble come The elections in November.  Conversely the Rs well gloat about their victory and then go about screwing things up just as much as any Democrat.

First question which sprang to my mind: Why the hell have they gone there at all? To hear lies, to cheer themselves up, make sure how brave and intelligent they are. To be good americans or citizens or for what reason. They obviously have gont their to get to the power, and then let the others to the work for them. I'm so fed up with election campains, I hardly can express it in somewhat civilized ways...

Having lived in the D.C. area for over 30 years, I can safely say that Upper Marlboro, Maryland is probably one of the most "pro-democratic party" towns in the U.S. Located east of Washington, D.C., you simply drive drive from the White House toward Capitol Hill, then around the Capitol building and get on old Route 4 heading east and keep going.  Oddly enough, Route 4 - even as far east as Upper Marlboro, is still named Pennsylvania Avenue!

No kidding !!!!
