Putin Warns Of Risk Of Major Conflict, Says Dollar Losing Reserve Currency Status
Having been relatively quiet for a while, Russia's leader Vladimir, speaking in Sochi (following meetings with Middle East crown princes who confirmed Russia as a key partner - "isolated"?), has unleashed his most aggressive statements with regard the failing world order:

Adding that the risk of major conflicts involving major countries is growing, as well as the risk of arms control treaties being violated, Putin exclaimed that the US-led unipolar world is like a dictatorship over other countries and that "US leadership brings no good for others," and calls for a new global consensus.
Having met Crown Prince Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi in Sochi, who confirmed that Moscow “plays a very important role in the Middle East," and added that he had no doubts that his country and Russia “are bound by a privileged relationship," it appears Russia is less "isolated" than the West would have many believe.

Escalation? It seems sabre-rattling is picking up as The Washington Times reports,
Russian military provocations have increased so much over the seven months since Moscow annexed Crimea from Ukraine that Washington and its allies are scrambling defense assets on a nearly daily basis in response to air, sea and land incursions by Vladimir Putin’s forces.
Not only is Moscow continuing to foment unrest in Eastern Ukraine, U.S. officials and regional security experts say Russian fighter jets are testing U.S. reaction times over Alaska and Japan’s ability to scramble planes over its northern islands — all while haunting Sweden’s navy and antagonizing Estonia’s tiny national security force.
“What’s going on is a radical escalation of aggressive Russian muscle flexing and posturing designed to demonstrate that Russia is no longer a defeated power of the Cold War era,” says Ariel Cohen, who heads the Center for Energy, National Resources and Geopolitics at the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security in Washington.
“The more we retreat, the more we are encouraging Russia to behave in a more aggressive way,” Mr. Cohen said. “We need to be engaging more deeply with our Central Asian allies, but instead we are in the process of abandoning turf to Russia, and it’s wrong — it’s against our interests geopolitically to let Russia feel that they all of a sudden have won all the turf without firing a shot.”

I was aware of other historical Jewish claims that cannot be backed up independently by History. This includes: Their alleged slavery in Egypt and alleged liberation from there, proof of King David having had a real Castle, that the Six-star was borrowed from the Greeks which predates it, that the most holy relic/article (the ) suddenly "vanished" and cannot be found till this day, etc, etc.
I do recall watching a program on H2 History last year (from a Prof. of Military History in Canada), that re-interpreted the Exodus from a military general's perspective. In it, Moses had a large group of his "liberated" Jews put to death (men, women and children) by his warriors, for NOT choosing to follow his/God's laws. It was pure and total "ideological cleansing" from his ranks, to homogenize the ideology of his "freed" followers. In the end, it seems that Moses was actually killed by his Rabbis, rather than "ascending into heaven", and they then continued their age-old tradition: Revisionist History, because "Dead men tell no tales, live ones do".
There is another theme that seems to occur over and over and over in the thousands of years: That the "Jews" seem a people who also keep re-inventing themselves: Be it in ancient times, over and over, in the Middle Ages, or Modern times. right now, the western world is dumping rubles. putin started buying back his short at all-time lows ~40. he's perfectly happy for USDRUB to rally, until he's covered his short and sold all his US treasuries anyways. after that is finished, he won't give a damn about USDRUB because he will be transacting in CNY, EUR, and in some cases directly with commodities... and also because he's actually running a trade surplus and his country in aggregate has so little debt, foreign or otherwise.
so he's basically taking advantage of stupid westerners who are panic selling his RUB back to him at a severe discount. i believe saudi arabia has figured out this out, and that is why they slowed their crude oil sales last month. obviously they aren't trying to help putin; i guess they have realized that crude oil prices falling impacts THEMSELVES much more than russia, given their currency peg to the USD and the mostly-floating USDRUB level.

crude oil prices falling and RUB *rising* would hurt russia, as that would lower russia's domestic-currency-denominated income. super simple, basic macroeconomics. putin's talk of the boomerang effect of sanctions was absolutely spot on; not for the reasons he was hoping/bluffing for, but rather because our politicians are SO stupid. sanctions, as currently managed, are only hurting ourselves (to be more accurate, our allies in Europe and Saudi Arabia).
Neither Putin nor his central bank agree with your analysis, Bob. That's why Russia is spending $25 billion/month selling dollars and buying rubles in a futile effort to slow down the ruble's losses. As someone who has lived and worked in Russia, Russians prefer foreign goods to domestic goods when possible (ever drive a Lada?), so the falling ruble has a very real impact on the average person.

Not really. When there are no rulers, there is only one rule. Power rules. It's the law of the jungle. And that is, precisely, anarchy.
Power is the rule currently. The powerful make rules for you and I to follow and we have 0 say in what / how the rules are created or enforced. When therer are no rulers, then something else has to govern. Like logic and reason, or maybe rational thought. Nobody is saying that there will ever exist a perfect utopia, but the pro-freedom crowd is trying to say, is that there is a much better way to organize the world than what we currently have.
Originally, at some point in the distant past, there were no rulers. The rest, as they say, is history. There is a reason for that.
Sounds nice, but the realist and pragmatist in me says that the need for "structure and rules" will always be there.

With most Mammals, "Testosterone seems to be the equivalent of Oil": Both make the world go round. Self-developing and self-organizing structures are evident at the Cellular level, with schools of fish, and the Human Body. Certain insects (ants, bees, wasps) also have a different architecture that appears self-regulating, but are different from a school of fish (that has no Queen Fish in the school).
Also historically speaking... Shamans seem to have evolved/morphed into Priests, and Priests into Rabbis and Ministers, and more recently into Lawyers and Media Moguls -- as they've all told us what to believe, how to act and what the consequences of non-compliance are.
I notice also that traditional religious structures mimic tribal and mammalian structures. I see a clear absence of modern architectural concepts from the world of Software -- which is another indication that the whole (Monotheism) thing is a man-made product. You'd THINK that some visitor or superior entity would educate these primitive tribes with more modern stuff about the Universe & Cosmology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Genetics, Epidemiology & Sanitation, Geology, etc. Instead, ALL I see is Anthropomorphic Projection of human fears, desires and hopes onto a mythical and invisible... "Tribal Guy in the Sky" with super powers. IOW... Someone you can NEVER access directly or by yourself. A hierarchy of Middlemen seems to be required. How quaint, how predictable. How fraudulent.
I in now way am arguing for no organization or structure. I am saying that the individual person should have the oppurtunity to rule him or herself. That means they get to choose which group to associate with, how to spend their time, what the productivity of their labor and mind goes to, etc. A world without someone pointing a gun at your head and telling you what to do.
Most religion (including shaminism, etc.) seems to have been established as a control mechanism alternate to the use of force. I find them to be very irrational and dishonest in general, but so long as they don't violently impose their ideas on people who choose not to abide by them I have no issue with them.
