As Tim Cook "Comes Out", These Nations Still View Homosexuality As "Morally Unacceptable"
Tim Cook's decision to openly discuss his sexual orientation is dominating the news cycle with many hoping it can be a watershed moment in the acceptance of openly gay people in the workforce. While it appears nothing but a positive in the United States, there are still stunningly many nations around the world (including Iran, where Apple is trying to sell to now) where Tim Cook's admission is considered "morally unacceptable" by the great majority.

No where in the four gospels, does Jesus Christ make any mention of, nor reference to, homosexuality. For him it was an inappropriate topic to bring up. I feel the same way: "Don't ask don't tell."
If such behavior and sexual orientation was a private matter to Christ, then homosexuality should be tolerated; but homosexuality should not be publicly promoted or endorsed either.
In the Gospels -I cannot cite specifically where. It has been more than 10 years since I finished reading the Bible cover to cover- St. Peter acknowledges that John was the Apostle that Jesus "loved". Separately, he also addresses Mary Magdalene as the one that Jesus loved most. Infer from that what you will; but, in the words attributed to St. Peter, Christ did not differentiate between his love for a man and his love for a woman. But Christ made it clear that for him, marriage was the exclusive domain of a lifelong love between one man and one woman.
The homosexual clique have evolved from victims into bullies, from pleading for tolerance and empathy to dictating what we can say or believe about human sexuality. It would be better if we all treated our sexuality as private and personal.
Jesus said, "In reply he said: “Have you not read that the one who created them from the beginning made them male and female 5?and said: ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will stick to his wife, and the two will be one flesh’? 6?So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. So clearly Jesus shows us that his views of marriage is between a man and a woman. He also shows that grounds for ending a marriage is sexual infidelity, not human imperfection, personality traits, etc, something heterosexuals fail to take heed of in mass numbers.
Addtionally, the the Greek word used in the Christain Greek scriptures for sexual immorality is "porniea" which is where the word "pornography" comes from. Porniea is defined as illicit sexual relations outside of Scriptural marriage. It includes adultery, prostitution, and sex relations between unmarried individuals, as well as oral and anal sex and the sexual manipulation of the genitals of an individual to whom one is not married. It also includes such acts between individuals of the same sex as well as bestiality.
So homosexuals and many heterosexuals sexual activities are also considered unclean from a Christian standpoint, are incompatible with Christianity, and exclude such ones from the Christian congregation.

You have used the legalistic tactic of researching the many uses of a particular Greek word in order to decipher what Christ meant when he "used' that word. By using the conventional way to interpret what the Greek word means in English, you -along with the great majority of scholars- want to put "words" and "meaning" into Christ's mouth that may not have ever been there. Of course, Christ did not use that Greek word any more than he used any English word. Theological scholars have used this tactic as a way to challenge conventional or unconventional interpretations. But I don't recall where Christ specifically mentioned adultery as a legitimate excuse for divorcing one's spouse.
I am not going to challenge your quotations from the Gospels directly. I used the King James Version of the Bible, which was updated from the original 17th century translation into the English language of the 18th Century. That may explain why my recollection does not match with your quotation, which may come from a different version.
Further your extension of the use of "porniea" to include all unconventional forms of sexual behavior is quite a stretch. I don't think Christ thought and talked like a Pharisee.

Paul was a brilliant man and very concerned with a good spiritual life. That doesn't mean he was always right. The Bible is a falliable book written and compiled by falliable men. I believe it was inspired by God, but I believe a lot of books were inspired by God. I believe the Lotus Sutra and the Tao te Ching and the Kama Sutra were inspired by God, too. Not because I believe they are infalliable documents, but because I believe they were written by good but falliable men in search of coming into the understanding of God, however named.

This is more proof that its a "new world" out there. Recently I started to write an article titled "Sexual Confusion On Steroids" inspired by coverage on the changing design of clothing on the PBS Newshour. They started by going into how Facebook had added options other than male and female to give people more options.
I thought that was cool and wondered if Facebook would have a box for me such as megamale, allmale, or ultramale. While I was pondering this they hit me with how in today's world today many people wanted to be outside the box, I found this both unsettling to downright humorous.
