Yikes.
DavidC
why worry?
FED can only keep this up for another 2-3 decades.
Then it's hell to pay!
Ah yes the baby boomer mantra, I'll be dead before this affects me.
lol
Only in their dreams does it go on for a couple more decades until they drop dead from a stroke in a sand trap at The Villages.
SD-1.
Couldn’t a person argue this mess started in 1971? That’s 4.5 decades…. OR would one cite 1913? That’s 10 decades…. Or was the American Civil War (state’s rights) the start point? 15 decades….
'It' Started 14.6 billion years ago at the big bang I guess.
Nah, it was more recent than that.
It started when primates came down from the trees
STDs run rampant in the Villages I hear. More likely to die from a heart attack during an orgy.
Any questions?
Bullish. Efficient markets.
I knew I should have bought the dip!
Did I? I can't remember.
Interesting. Not sure if there is much evidence for this, but suggests to me maybe there is some significant offloading going on. Dump some shares for a few weeks, then let BTFD/buybacks raise the bid for a few weeks -- rinse, repeat.
So maybe some people with significant shares are trying to get out -- carefully?
Reminds me of Rollover...

it's always a good time to buy bullshit stocks. /s
But ebola, and that's solved now...
Shit a brick!
The second half is you portfolio on algos and HFT, not drugs.
I'll take the drugs.
I never do drugs, but I'm thinking weed might calm my nerves
Religion is no longer the opiate of the people... it's opium! lol
Weed's not a drug, it's health food.
Weeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We We weeeeeeeeeeee!
A properly diversified portfolio: .22, .223, 5.56, .308, 9mm, .40, .45, .50.......
On the positive side, gartman went bullish again yesterday.
Suddenly I'm having a craving for fried eggs
Does this mean that if we all stop trading, working, driving, etc. That we'll all be infinitely rich??
Only if No Means Yes.

Also from that chart you can only come to the conclusion that all equity in equities is actually negative equity debt, which means that the only way those equities can be valued that high is if SOMEONE OWES A LOT OF MONEY, or if SOMEONE COUNTERFEITED A LOT OF MONEY.
Its like your house suddenly owes you money, even though its underwater, and you were allowed to trade the debt your house owes you (the loss you took) as if it was an asset.
Is this where derivatives come into play maybe? its getting a little obfuscated..
here is food for thought.
Imagine you were a broker, and you were taking shorts on a market.
Imagine everyone was handing you their money (or worst) borrowing from you, to "short" a given stock.
And then
You turn around, take their money, and use it to buy the very "investments" they are betting against (forcing the price of those assets up)
Imagine all trading firms colluded to do this with all the money investors used to short the market, or if their trading platforms were coded to automatically stack the bets one way for the benefit of the firm (and detriment of traders).
You could essentially turn the markets upside down and people would standby in awe watching the impossible market rise against what all fundamentals say should happen.
You have essentially just stolen the money and guaranteed that the people shorting the equities will be squeezed out of their position.
And you endup making money on both sides.
Now ask yourself, can you trust your trading institution?
Its completely possible for them to do this, since really no order is ever really filled, orders are only reported as filled from the individual broker to the trader, never to any third party agency that double checks.
So for all intents and purposes your short is not only suppressed but your bet is used against you to ensure you fail.
Based on that, you'd do well at GS, but I'm guessing you have a conscience, which would kill your prospects in any banking institution.
