The Day After: An Interactive Sea Of Red

Tyler Durden's picture

While one can debate the naivete of anyone expecting much if anything to change as a result of the midterm, or any, elections, one things is certain: America spoke up, and said the "recovery" of the past 6 years not only isn't working but is the biggest lie perpetuated by the country's true ruler: the Fed and its Wall Street bank "advisors", and demanded change: something more than just fabricated daily record highs in the nominal values of assorted Fed-rigged pieces of paper.

The result: as the interactive map below, ironically from the NYT after the jump shows, is nothing short of a red storm rising.

Now if only it wasn't all in absolute futility.

Dano, the corporations take far more money from the government than the FSA "folks", by several times over. At least the FSA spends all of their money in the USA, which is more than I can say for the crony corporations.

So it's settled then.  The markets will be crashed in the summer of 2016 by the Congressional Republican majority and its Wall Street cronies to embarras the President and ensure a Republican wins the White House in November.

If it hasn't crashed before then, that is...

I'll go out on a limb here and say the equity markets are in for a rude awakening within the next 90 day. I don't think it will be the main event, but there will be a substancial retrace.

The markets will probably trade sideways after this retrace, for a while, and then implode late next year into '16. This of course isn't discounting a major conflict, Japan, or an Alien Invasion.

Of course the markets could well crash well before then.  I was just stating the "at the latest" condition.

I said correction, not "crash". The markets are so overbought currently, that they need to find some equilibrium.

That is when traders start thinking, "Hey we've booked some profits and '15 is getting ready to start". (holiday sales aren't good) Traders want some powder to invest in January, and want to cover their tax liability for '14.

Then q-4 earnings hit in January and things get dicey.

Broke and desperate small communities are accepting "grants" from UN Agenda 21 NGOs, nonbinding yet binding.  Rezoning is how this is being done.  In the end, cost to pay fro real estate and tax burden will deem owning anything but a closet sized room in highrise apt buildings close to railroad tracks, warehouses and the loading docks (new jobs~) is what the result will be.  The vultures who return to buy up what has not been deemed "off limits to human traffic" will send housing prices the way San Francisco's are (unaffordable but to the very rich).

The reason I say this is: I live in North Dakota, a very solid Red state.... in our state the Repugs tried to ram thru a "right-to-life" admendment and it got roundly thumped, and the FEMALE state senator, who was front-centered on the issue, got her re-election rammed up her ass. The point being: stay the-fuck-outta-my-bedroom/reproductive rights. If this new group of elected clowns, from the other side, think this is open-season on social issues, they will get their ass handed to them in 2 years as well.

Sorry, but this is fight club, you know. The only reason the "people" got to vote on this issue was the Repugs "knew" they were going to "win". I've pushed for this "vote" for many, many years; and the "Right-to-Lifers" have maintained for 35 years that ND is a RTL state, but when pressed to put the issue to vote they punted, or deferred. Too "pussy" to take the chance of losing, This year they were filled up with their own self-assurance. The plan was to use our state tax dollars to challenge Roe v. Wade, as our state is loaded with cash. OOPS, wrong time, and it's always the wrong "time" to fuck with people's personnal shit.... period.

BZZZZZZZZZZT.    wrong.

hey Dano, get yer word definitions in order, because it does matter.

infanticide requires an "infant" - and "infants" must be post-BIRTH, as in delivered, outside of the womb.  don't use such emotional language.

fetal-personhood, which is what the Rethug team has a hard-on for, is all about control of the womb.  the foot-in-the-door is "control of abortion" but should they ever get their bullshit laws passed, the next step down their path will be monitoring a woman's fertility cycle - to "make sure" y'know?  because y'can't let any of those precious zygotes disappear!

well, until they're delivered- then they're on their fuckin' own, and it's the FSA for 'em if they fall through the cracks.

talk about half-assed plans.

edited to add a thank you to JimS for sharing some "local" outcomes, sounds like some people spoke up for each other out there. . .

Sorry, the issue is: the Repugs are not an end-all/cure-all. In my state the Repugs got all the power, and tried to get too cute. The point-person (an R) got tossed out, as well. My point is: if the national Repugs get bogged down in this social issue crap, they'll get tossed out on their ass in 2 years. Besides, who gives a fuck about who is with who, and who's on the top or bottom. If two people love each other, who the fuck cares. I know it bothers many people, but let "god" handle it in the here-after. None of us should judge "someone else", let your "god" take care of that shit in the next life.

I do not believe your "Reddest Alabama" claim. There is not a single state office held by a DumboCat. I am a democrat, and have been one all my life. A different kind of democrat: conceled-carry, Vietnam Veteran (proud of it), don't mind hunting, balance the budget (please), abolish the fucking FED, no problem applying the death penaltly, pro-choice, and enforce the laws that are in existance (or get rid of them). We are heading full-speed ahead on a fascism course, and the national Repugs don't see any problem with that, as long as it is them leading the way. Fuck that course. Sorry, but that's not me. Doesn't matter if the Repugs are doing it, or Dumos, I still think it's fucked. Our Nation is a Crony Capitalism situation, and I think that is not going to change because our voters chose the Red Pill this time. I feel the regular citizens in this country are going to get fucked, whether Red side (of the single crony "team") is on the field, or the Blue side. Both sides are feeding at the same corporate trough. With all due respect to you, Dinero.

I just happened to be living in Alabama.  I am from Brooklyn.  I'm an old fogey, a life-long pot smoking hippie, a Mississipi civil rights marcher, and a life-long democrat.  (I quit voting in '12.) Also, I'm a two-fisted atheist, and a Vietnam draft-doger.

I live in a sedate (all-Protestant) gated community, 3-4Ksqft homes, large lots.  And, I have a fucking TREMENDOUS vegetable garden with greenhouse, which, along with my atheism, hippyness, and Yankeeness, dives my neighbors nutz.

I puit a sign on my house, -almost visible from the street:  HIPPIES USE BACKDOOR, ----> No Exceptions.

I'm a prepper, but I don't have any stinkin gun.  If the SHTF, I''ll put a new sign up, substituting "Hungry Walkers" for Hippies.

I don't give a shit about concealed-carry laws.  If people think they need a gun, or a machine gun, I don't care. (In once case I witnessed the excellence of an armed citizenry. I was on the UT campus when Whitman, and ex-marine was sniping (killing, 38 people, more or less) from the university tower.  In less then five fucking minutes there was return fire, from hundreds of cowboy Texans.  They sure as hell kept Witman's head down, and I thank bullets for that.)

I am against the death penalty.  Capital punishment teaches people to render deeds of killing.   As a former defense attorney I damn well know the death penalty is purely for shock value, -yet is has been shown that it is not a deterrent, -and it is invariably (rounded to invariably) applied to the indigenous/crazies.

I against the Fed. JFK was against the Fed too, but he got his head blowed off.  (I was in Dealy Plaza then.  Later, I was in jail with E. Howard Hunt, who spent his time watercolor painting, much like Dubya. (They sell these shitty watercolors for fabulous sums.)  Anyhow, Hunt was dropping all sorts of hints about his insider connections the the JFK wack.)

Oh well.

Otherwise I agree with your sentiments.

I'll take this toke in respect to you, JimS.

Really dude?   The Republican Party WAS the third party back in the day when the two parties were the Whigs and the Democrats before the Civil War.

And before that the Whigs were the third party offshoot of Jefferson's Democratic-Republicans back after the Revolution when there were Jefferson's Democratic-Republicans and Hamilton's Federalist Party.

Third Parties will never amount to shit when it comes to reform.  They are always offshoots of two corrupt parties.  Once split from the mother party.....the mother party dies off.  And the third party becomes another corrupt side of the new two party system.

" America spoke up, and said the "recovery" of the past 6 years not only isn't working but is the biggest lie perpetuated by the country's true ruler: the Fed and its Wall Street bank "advisors", and demanded change:"

Change is a word. America spoke, they want change. But did anyone ask what king of change. What change will the Republican majority bring? Will the Fed be brought under control, will banker power be checked, will the war machine slow down, will any tax relief be headed main street's way, will the Spy machine slow down, will corporate power over congress be reduced, will Israel stop running US middle east policy, is Wall-Street going to be cut loose to live within market forces or continue it's manipulated boom.

I just did not vote, nor have I followed the voting results. There is no reason. Because the "keep doing what you have been doing" policy is about to be doubled down on.

But if you are a Big Government Social Conservative who wants to bring Government into our bed rooms, our doctors offices, bring your churches into our class rooms, and give our personal choices over to government. Then this is a banner day. I can see it all now.

I for one will certainly follow the new, supposed party of change, very closely. I wanna see the hope and change these republicans are bringing. Obama sought to be a republican, and now he has a republican congress, I suspect that one party rule has just won a banner victory. And Democrates who have become republicans in everything but name, have just been fucked up the ass by their voters. When all parties are republicans, the core democratic voters will not vote, and they did not vote. Obama, Mr. Bush in Black Face now has the real congress he always wanted to work with.

Why do Americans give congress a 12% approval rating? Why is Putin more popular in America than congress?

Congress is a cess pool of corruption, greed, ignorance and malice towards the 99%. The coming legislation will be a shit storm of social issues laws designed to make our personal choices a government decission. There is nobody more Big Government than a social conservative salivating to pass laws on our personal lives as Americans. No hope, No change, Same Congress with a different letter after their names!
