I watched HOURS of live coverage last night, from media and local bloggers. I saw some pretty cool stuff:
CNN Getting gased live on air by cops!!
CNN getting hit by rocks from protestors!!
Apparently there is some common ground between the cops and protestors! They should build on this and heal the community!
I also saw some live streaming blogger get robbed live and the guy was still streaming while running away!
Weird thing is, it didn't seem to be a "RIOT" but more like a "RAID"
It looked to me like a careful, TACTICAL attack on a city, I find it REALLY HARD TO BELIEVE that the "ghetto trash" could act in such a highly co-ordianted manor.
The people that were causing the damage and destruction, from what I saw:
1) Moved in small groups
2) Got in and out of the paticular target area fast
3) By the time the cameras and cops showd up they already moved to a different area
4) You didn't know where the group was until the flames were visible, by then they were long gone.
5) Did not see much actual looting as it happened as you would expect with 1000 stupid fuck hipster bloggers running around, a lot of after the fact damage
This looked like a RAID and not a riot. An important distinction, this makes me really think that it was co-ordinated from up on high.

Bassem was trying to claim it was the police who stole his phone, he's an absolute nut job and made a fool out of himself a few days ago on CNN.
Obviously if the government DID NOT want to have the trouble organizers make trouble, they would have released the information very early in the morning.
If they did it early in the morning then the organizers would have had to get everyone out of bed and together and it would take a good portion of the day ... and people would lose interest as time went on.
The whole purpose of releasing it at night was to allow already organized people to cause trouble and conflict under the cover of darkness. The effect is greater.
So, clearly the government is behind causing conflict between people, using paid organizers to USE UNHAPPY IDIOTS to do their dirty work.
The police are being used. The public is being used ... all to keep us apart and not directing change at the cause of the problem.

The grand jury for Saint Louis County had been hearing routine cases around the time Brown was killed and then turned its attention to the shooting. The jury's term was due to expire Sept. 10. That same day, county Judge Carolyn Whittington extended the term to Jan. 7 The grand jury for Saint Louis County was composed of 12 people "selected at random from a fair cross-section of the citizens," from according to Missouri law. St. Louis County overall is 70 percent white.
Typically, grand jurors hear a condensed version of the evidence that might be presented at a trial. In the Ferguson case, grand jurors received more extensive evidence and testimony. Jurors heard 70 hours of testimony and 60 witnesses, including Wilson and three medical examiners.
The grand jury could determine only whether probable cause exists to indict Wilson, not whether he is guilty. If the jury had returned an indictment, a separate trial jury would have been seated to decide whether to convict or acquit him.

Some months ago, the owners' of the shop with the Budweiser sign and the hands up artwork had a decision to make. Do we stay or do we go? Yesterday they could have boarded up the store front and hung out inside with shotguns. But, wanting to go, they made the only decision they could. They insured the store TO THE MAX and put up a WE'RE OPEN sign.
One of the considerations when I closed my store was insurance. Commercial coverage of a storefront DOES NOT COVER MOB ACTIONS. One molotov through a window would have wiped out my inventory and despite thousands of dollars in preumium paid, NO COVERAGE.

now do you suppose the prosecutor or the police withheld evidence? i doubt it, the prosecutor made a detailed statement about the process last night (if anyone listened) its also true that prosecutors hate to get involved in high profile cases, and will often pass on them.
in this case the feds might prosecute that the police violated the victims civil rights. since there is only one officer involved that might be a difficult case to make. i am sure the prosecutor would gladly throw this cop under the bus to have some peace today, nobody gained by the grand jury indictment, but it is what it is, and i am sure everyone worked hard to get it right, under duress.

Thera are legitimate targets. They can go and block functioning of police stations for example. Or municipal parliment (I have no idea what kind of local government buildings are called in USA), mayors office etc. By attacking those targets they would show that they are sick of police or any other agency that would be targeted and pushed over civil disobedience into serious unrest. Looting gives off pretty much a different message. While it's probably majoirty picketing, still the minority just torching cars and stealing booze out of a local supermarket is really large. The more looting happens the more they might incentivise people into actually letting police have extreme power. After all it's the police that stands up between some chinese dude with a corner shop and those thugs jumping this shop at the first opportunity. It is completely counterproductive. Of course, if what you want is fair treatment by the law and not just free flatscreen tv and a few bottles of licquor.
