Guest Post: Did They Want More Violence In Ferguson? 10 'Coincidences' Too Glaring To Ignore
Submitted by Michael Snyder of The Economic Collapse blog,
Was it a conspiracy or was it incompetence? Those appear to be the only two alternatives that we are left with after the horrific violence that we witnessed in Ferguson on Monday night. The first round of Ferguson rioting back in August took everyone by surprise, but this time authorities had more than three months to prepare. They had the ability to control precisely when the grand jury decision would be announced and how many cops and National Guard troops would be deployed on the streets. But despite all this, the violence in Ferguson on Monday night was even worse than we witnessed back in August.
Either this was a case of almost unbelievable incompetence, or there was someone out there that actually wanted this to happen. If someone out there is actually trying to provoke more violence in Ferguson, then the rioters are being played like a fiddle. Most of them have no idea that they could potentially just be pawns in a game that is far larger than they ever imagined. The only other alternative to explain what we just saw is incompetence on a level that is absolutely laughable. Something definitely does not smell right about all of this, and let us hope that at some point the American people get the truth.
The following are 10 “coincidences” from Monday night in Ferguson that are too glaring to ignore…
#1 Federal, state and local law enforcement authorities had more than three months to prepare for the violence that would follow the announcement of the grand jury decision. The mainstream media endlessly hyped this controversy and everyone knew that trouble would be brewing. But despite an enormous amount of time to prepare, very little was actually done to prevent any violence from happening.
#2 Someone made the decision to make the public announcement about the grand jury decision in the evening. Anyone involved in law enforcement knows that crowd control is far more difficult after dark. This also ensured that instead of being tied up with work or school, a maximum number of protesters would be able to be involved in the violence.
#3 Fortunately for the mainstream media, the announcement of the grand jury decision was perfectly timed to provide the largest possible number of prime time viewers for the big news networks.
#4 Just like back in August, no law enforcement authorities of any kind responded while dozens of businesses were vandalized, looted and set of fire.
#5 According to Ferguson Mayor James Knowles, National Guard troops were purposely held back from intervening in the rioting that was unleashed when the grand jury decision was made known to the public…
In a press conference, he called the delay “deeply concerning” and said the Guard troops were available but were not deployed when city officials asked.
The troops had been readied last week by Gov. Jay Nixon as the grand jury announcement neared. But as gunshots rang out in the night and looters torched buildings, they were nowhere to be seen.
#6 It is being reported that the heavily armed National Guard troops were limited to “keeping the peace at a courthouse, patrolling the outskirts of town and preventing disturbances in other suburbs” as horrific violence raged in the heart of Ferguson on Monday night.
#7 Missouri Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder has accused Missouri Governor Jay Nixon of holding back the National Guard troops because of pressure from the Obama administration. On Monday night, he angrily made the following statement to Fox News…
“Is the reason that the National Guard was not in there because the Obama Administration and the Holder Justice Department leaned on you to keep them out? I cannot imagine any other reason why the governor who mobilized the National Guard would not have them in there to stop this.”
#8 The Washington Post has documented that Attorney General Eric Holder had been in direct contact with Governor Nixon and had expressed “frustration” with the fact that the National Guard had been activated…
A top aide to Holder called the governor’s office earlier this week to express Holder’s displeasure and “frustration,” according to a Justice Department official.
“Instead of de-escalating the situation, the governor escalated it,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the subject. “He sent the wrong message. The tone of the press conference was counterproductive.”
#9 Firefighters in Ferguson did not immediately respond to calls to put out the multiple fires that were set by protesters. As a result, many businesses essentially burned to the ground. But this did make for some amazing television footage.
#10 In the worst of the “war zones”, journalists with cameras and microphones were crawling all over the place while there were hardly any police to be seen at all. How is it possible that law enforcement could have failed so badly? Could it be possible that this was orchestrated on purpose?
Sadly, as I have written about previously, the civil unrest that we are witnessing in Ferguson is just a small preview of what is coming to America.
The anger and frustration that are seething under the surface in this country have reached a boiling point. Instead of coming together, we are seemingly more divided than ever. Americans have been trained to hate one another, fear one another and blame one another. I fear that we are not too far away from actually becoming ungovernable.
And when the next major wave of the economic crisis strikes and we start experiencing real suffering in this nation, the temper tantrums that we are going to witness in our major cities are going to make what is happening in Ferguson right now look like a Sunday picnic.
So buckle up and hold on, because it is going to be a really bumpy ride from here on out.
Ferguson is not the end – it is just the beginning of a horrible new chapter in American history.

Ya think?
I got 10 inches of snow that sez you won't mess with me.
Is that racisst?
They're damned if they do, damned if they don't. Last time everybody (including ZH I might add) bitched and moaned they used too much force. Now not enough? There's no conspiracy here. If the people (black people) of Fergusson want to "shit where they eat", I say let them. When there's not more AutoZone, Cellphone store or Quikie Mart and the jobs they create.... then let them live in the burnt ruins they created.
i'll do you guys a favor and give this next bottle away for a thanksgiving present
I didn't watch any of this bullshit on teevee.
Circus for the sheople.
nails it, but 'merica not ready for this type of honesty.
“Here’s the lessons from Ferguson America- Don’t let your kids growup to be thugs who think they can steal, assault & attack cops as a way of life & badge of black (dis)honor. Don’t preach your racist bullsh*t “no justice no peace” as blabbered by Obama’s racist Czar Al Not So Sharpton & their black klansmen. When a cop tells you to get out of the middle of the street, obey him & don’t attack him as brainwashed by the gangsta a**holes you hang with & look up to. It’s that simple unless you have no brains, no soul, no sense of decency whatsoever. And dont claim that “black lives matter” when you ignore the millions you abort & slaughter each & every day by other blacks. Those of us with a soul do indeed believe black lives matter, as all lives matter. So quit killin each other you f*ckin idiots. Drive safely.” the Nuge has a way with words...................................Fuck off and die alone Snyder.
It'll really be a party when ISIS shows up. http://viral.buzz/isis-to-ferguson-protesters-declare-your-allegiance-to...
It will suck to be ISIS USA. I give them about three news cycles. Gators will eat well in those days.
Isn't this the script from the episode of South Park earlier this year?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69JO0RSxFVk
Beware. The MSM is redefining 'protester'. Time is of the essence.
You only get the "progressive" definition if you're brown enough.
Is Darren Wilson just a fucked up bonafide prick or is he also part of the script and acting as per someone else's playbook?
Says on the day the indictment was dropped that he would shoot again.
No regard for the victim, no regard for the family and no respect or understanding how his words are possibly inciting more rage and riots?
What is your verdict on the shooter himself?
I mean the cop looks like the guy you just want to punch in the face over and over again. If it's a script, I'd say they really picked their actors well.
Cleveland cop shoots the kid within split seconds after driving up to the kid. Bam, bam done and over. 26 y/o cop full on steroids or something.
America you have a government that's waging war on you.
This is a government warfare and psyops nation!
Thanksgiving my ass.
Says on the day the indictment was dropped that he would shoot again.
Aw, that's just the steroids talkin.
possibly or blatant lack of respect and humility
cop or not, he killed a person
looks like the academy is training killer cops and nothing else
Those were warning shots, that the kid jumped in the way of.
The kid was pointing a gun at them. Do you know what you'd have done were you in their position with just a split second to decide?
You are a liar. The kid had a toy - not a gun.
Anyone who still applies Hanlon's Razor to America has not been paying attention to the obvious patterns of social facts!
FISH ROTS FROM THE HEAD.
The American "rule of law" is being deliberately destroyed. The American democratic republic has been systematically destroyed from more than a Century, due to the international banksters being able to recapture control over the American public "money" supply!
I repeat this comment, which applies to every other case where people raise Hanlon's Razor, to presume incompetence, rather than perceive malice!

"We Are A Nation Built On The Rule Of Law"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUDSeb2zHQ0
Capitol Hill Cold Open - Saturday Night Live
The SOURCE of the rule of law is the conservation of energy. I present that as a physical observation, which has been confirmed by experiments, and redundantly confirmed by the ways that when the conservation of energy appeared to be violated, a deeper level of observations continued to demonstrate that the applicable principle was the conservation of energy. There are certainly more dimensions through which energy is conserved, so that we do NOT have any finished theory of the conservation of energy. But nevertheless, the basic explanations of contemporary science are that everything operates as general energy systems, through which the principle of the conservation of energy appears to manifest, as a physical law.
HOWEVER, the ONLY connection between the human "rule of law" and the laws of nature, is the ability to back up lies with violence. Most of the notions that various people promote about how there should be a basis of "natural law" for human laws are grossly superficial, since those tend to promote the same old false-fundamental dichotomies, and related impossible ideals, as the proper basis for human laws. However, the real basis of human laws is the ability to back up lies with violence. Human realities are always organized lies operating robberies. Governments are always the biggest form of organized crime, dominated by the best organized gangs of criminals.
Some Americans, during some of American history (say for about the first hundred years after the American Revolution), felt that they were more "in the club" of those to whom the rule of law, with its checks and balances, were being applied. However, it is obvious that no notions of transcendental justice or fairness applied to the American Natives, nor the slaves of African origin, during that period of time. The natives and slaves were NOT considered as "human beings" to whom the idealized "rule of law" of the American state applied.
After the international bankers, as the biggest gangsters, or the banksters, were able to recapture control over the American public "money" supply, at an exponential rate, developing for more than a Century, more and more of the American citizens were discovering that they no longer were "in the club," to whom the idealized rule of law applied, but rather, we being treated more and more like the slaves were originally treated, while they are probably headed towards finally being treated like the American Natives were originally treated.
Real human history has primarily been shaped by warfare, during which processes social successes were based upon deceits and treacheries, as the methods which were best to employ to win wars, by backing up deceits with destruction. Upon that basis was later built the political economy based upon enforced frauds, as the result of the banksters persistently and systematically applying the methods of organized crime to dominate the political processes, in order to achieve the currently established systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence, which have been getting BIGGER, FASTER, at an exponential rate, which drove the apparent "rule of law," along with its idealized checks and balances, into rampant, runaway self-destruction, due to the paradoxical final failure of enforced frauds, because the force can never stop making those frauds be false, but rather, the spiral of backing up bigger legalized lies with more legalized violence drives society as a whole to become criminally insane, in ways whereby the runaway debt slavery generates numbers which become debt insanities, which then will provoke death insanities.
By and large, the vast majority of Americans were brainwashed to believe in the biggest bullies' bullshit social stories. During the last Century or so, that kind of bullshit has primarily being spouted by the banksters, and the political and social institutions, where the banksters' dominance of the public "money" supply were then able to ratchet that racket up and UP, to become more control over things like public education and the mass media, etc. ...On a deeper level, the banksters were also able to continue the processes of controlling the opposition through the same means, as was also the case through most of human history.
The result of the degree of domination of civilization by the banksters has resulted in there being no significant public opposition that is not controlled. Therefore, the only significant public opposition can be described as that promoted by reactionary revolutionaries, who propose bogus "solutions" based on going backwards to their preferred old-fashioned religions or ideologies, as their response to the currently runaway dominance of the existing American State Religions, which are its monetary system and national security, both of which are manifesting the maximum possible frauds and deceits, due to the long history of social pyramid systems being based on the ability to back up lies with violence.
I suggest that we should go through a series of intellectual scientific revolutions, as the source of the inspirations for some Second American Revolution, which would have to become globalized to become sufficiently successful. The idealized notions regarding the "rule of law," along with its checks and balances, that were the basis of the original American Constitution, have been almost totally undermined and eroded by the real ways that the best organized gangsters, the banksters, were able to recapture control over the American public "money" supply, and then leverage that up and UP to capture control over almost everything that governments were doing.
Most people appear to not want to understand that, while the few that do then typically propose bogus solutions based on going backwards to the ideals that were supposed to be the basis of the original American Constitution. However, in my view it is bootless to continue to propose developing any idealized human "rule of law" which deliberately ignores the progress made in other sciences and technologies, which were based upon paradigm shifts towards better understanding of general energy systems, which required appreciating more unitary mechanisms, rather than continuing to presume upon the validity of false fundamental dichotomies, and their related impossible ideals.
Since the already established debt slavery system, put in place by the banksters, had a structure which drove that to develop at an exponential rate, each President has presided over the situation getting worse faster. Roughly speaking President Obama was twice as bad as President Bush II. Furthermore, as long as the current systems stay the same, the next President would have to preside over the situation doubling how bad it was yet again. The idealized "rule of law" is obviously breaking down, at a faster rate. However, it is the same old dysfunctional bullshit to propose bogus "solutions" to that situation based on going back to the previous ways that the idealized "rule of law" was expressed. Rather, we should go through revolutions in the philosophy of science, which then apply to political science, as the basis for the kind of intellectual scientific revolution that we need for a Second American Revolution, along with similar events all around the world.
THE BASIC PROBLEM IS THAT THE SOCIAL PYRAMID SYSTEMS, WHICH HAVE DEVELOPED THROUGH THE HISTORY OF NEOLITHIC CIVILIZATIONS, ARE BASED ON BEING ABLE TO BACK UP LIES WITH VIOLENCE, WHILE THOSE SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN MAGNIFIED MANY ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE BY PROGRESS IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. HOWEVER, NOTHING LIKE THAT HAS YET BEEN ALLOWED TO HAPPEN WITHIN POLITICAL SCIENCE, DUE TO THE DEGREE THAT SOCIETY WAS DOMINATED BY ENFORCED FRAUDS.
The real "rule of law" depended upon some human beings' ability to control other human beings, using the methods of lies backed by violence, which became more sophisticated systems of legalized lies backed by legalized violence. However, there are NO genuine solutions which could be based on continuing to regard those social facts through the dualities of false fundamental dichotomies, and their related impossible ideals. Rather, we should develop a more scientific understanding of society, and thus, a more scientific society, which better understood how and why the ONLY connection between human laws and natural laws was the ability to back up lies with violence, which awareness gradually might be able to develop better dynamic equilibria between the different systems of organized lies operating robberies.
The basic problem now is that the ruling classes have been too successful for too long in promoting their bullshit social stories, including controlling the opposition to the established systems. That included ways that the philosophy of science was perverted, as well as deeper ways that our natural languages were developed. A good enough Second American Revolution would have to assimilate a better understanding of how and why there was developed globalized electronic frauds, backed by the force of atomic bombs.
Returning to a better rule of law, with better checks and balances, is theoretically possible, but if and only if enough people were to stop believing in the banksters' bullshit, which is mostly the same bullshit world view being promoted by most of the controlled opposition groups. There are no ways to change the fundamental facts that private property does not exist outside of some system of public violence. All private property is based on backing up claims with coercions, while money is measurement backed by murder.
In that context, a better return to any more functional rule of law, with more effective checks and balances, would have to go beyond the superficial notions of going backwards, to any old-fashioned religions or ideologies. Rather, it would have to be by going forwards to a more scientific understanding of human societies, which would require understanding in more profound ways the manner in which human energy systems necessarily operated according to the principles and methods of organized crime.
The only way to develop a genuinely better rule of law would be to have greater respect for natural laws, and thus, the real relationships between human laws and natural laws. The facts are that governments have always been the biggest form of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals. Any "solutions" that propose stopping that from happening are merely more of the same old-fashioned bullshit, which has always backfired badly throughout human history. The only realistic ways to develop a better rule of law, with better checks and balances, would be to develop better organized crime, as the reality of better government. Of course, that is what the reality of any Second American Revolution would necessarily entail. The issue is whether enough people would be able to understand that enough? Furthermore, would such radical truth be able to be shared with enough other people all around the world?
Generally speaking, we live in a Bizarro Mirror World Fun House, where everything appears proportionately backwards and distorted. That also applies to the controlled opposition to the established systems. Therefore, the controlled opposition groups continue to promote bogus "solutions" based on impossible ideals, which actually continue to cause the opposite to happen in the real world.
I recommend that we should understand how and why militarism is the supreme ideology. Militarism is the ideology of the murder systems. Militarism has always been the oldest and best developed form of social science and social engineering. However, its history was based on being successful through deceits and treacheries, which resulted in social slavery systems almost totally based on lies backed by violence, which have become the current forms of enforced frauds, which are the foundation of our currently established systems, where the powers of the government of the USA were effectively privatized, and thereby controlled by the banksters and their buddies.
What I suggest is that more radical truths about that situation require that we face the facts that the murder systems are the most important systems. The only ways to have any genuinely better Second American Revolution, which could then be adequately globalized, would require revolutions in the ways that we think about the death controls, in order to develop better systems of death controls. Of course, as the established systems of debt slavery continue to drive debt insanities, and those continue to threaten to provoke death insanities, saner death controls, to back up saner debt controls, appear like nothing more than political science fiction and fantasy.
The real social facts are that the President of the USA is degenerating into a political puppet whose strings are becoming so entangled that, more and more, he looks like an out of control dictator, abusing the basis of his power in madly self-destructive ways. President Obama has continued the destruction of the rule of law, at an exponential rate, the same as previous Presidents were also doing ... The destruction of the rule of law is feeding a monster that will eventually destroy those that originally fed that monster. That out of control monster can cause collapses into crazy chaos ... Whether or not "we" will survive through that is an open question ... Typically, in human history, there have been the rise and fall of civilizations. That often presented the pattern of some periods of chaos, out of which emerged some new order, which was relatively stable for a while, until it became madly self-destructive, thus precipitating another period of collapsing into chaos. That appears to be playing through in the American case, except on an astronomically amplified scale!
In my view, there is no hope other than the irrational hope in a Second American Revolution, which was inspired and guided by intellectual scientific revolutions in the philosophy of science, which applied to political science, in ways which could transform the combined money/murder systems to manifest some Translithic Civilization, that went beyond the ways that the current social pyramids of Neolithic Civilizations have operated through backing up lies with violence. However, actually doing that would require greater use of information, enabling higher consciousness, about how human beings operated their murder systems, to back up their monetary systems.
... In the meantime, what we are witnessing is the current government, covertly controlled by the banksters, driving its debt slavery systems through to debt insanities, which are going to provoke death insanities. My attitude toward that is based on irrational hopes for some better understanding of those processes, to enable that to be better catalyzed ... HOWEVER, IT APPEARS THE DOMINATE THEME IS THAT THE RUNAWAY ABUSE OF THE POWERS OF GOVERNMENT IS SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL!
Nice essay as always.
"The only way to develop a genuinely better rule of law would be to have greater respect for natural laws, and thus, the real relationships between human laws and natural laws."
Militarism will make this never happen in the current paradigm.
drink another one fool
What's wrong with murder? Nature is frequently murderous. We are of the natural world. Ergo, we are frequently murderous. But we can also be altruistic and kind. We are free to decide which we will be. I personally believe kindness is the better choice. We have to work on that. WE are our own worst enemy.
In reply to Radical Marijuana: Long winded as usual Radical but you are also right as usual. Happy Thanksgiving brother enjoy it while you can.
Divide and Conquer. Works every time.
You must dig this the most. Just for Thanksgiving.

All evidence and suspicion not withstanding...when it is the government it is almost always incompetence. That is the very essense of government.
the disaffected protestors will rise and fall like the vietnam antiwar movement which ended at Kent State. a few people will die, and the rest will go home. the blood has not yet been shed. in the late stages of the vietnam protests the radical groups were infilitrating and organizing. after KS they went underground. in 1970 we had a law and order president. now we have someone who ostensibly is on the side of the protestors, but it wont make much difference. the vietnam war lasted longer than Nixon, like the theft of a few cigars, compared to the wholesale theft of wall street, a few died at Kent State, fifty thousand in Nam, not counting those on the other side. the blood spilled at Kent State (or Ferguson) is simply too little to make a difference, and so we retreat into ourselves.
This was a planned, staged riot made for TV. Obama and Holder met with riotors days prior to Grand Jury announcement and encouraged them to riot. It did not matter what the outcome of the announcement was. Obama is still encouraging them to riot and help his poll numbers among blacks.
Divide and conquer and agitation strategy. But Obama and Holder have no business in a local law enforcement action and they prejudice the outcome. It's all blackmail -- If YT don't give blacks what they want they will burn your house down.
Michael Brown got what he asked for because he tried to beat down and take the gun of an armed white man who was also a cop. End of story. Let Sharpton try to find a legitimate case of racism to rant about because this ain't it! If White racism is as bad as he says then why exploit fake, fabricated cases like Tawana Brawley and the Duke rape cases?
This just proves there is so little racism that they have to make it up. The civil rights movement is now reduced to scouring the country for anybody using the "N" word.
This wasn't a case of racism. It might well be a case of excessive force.
You lost me at 'Obama met with protesters.." You seriously believe El Presidente would dirty his hands and risk it all for such a meeting? Maybe if it was a fundraiser, but EBT types hardly qualify..
It's going just as planned.
"Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order [referring to the 1991 LA Riot]. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond [i.e., an "extraterrestrial" invasion], whether real or *promulgated* [emphasis mine], that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this *scenario*, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government." Dr. Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference, Evians, France, 1991
Some good background on the CIA research into riots linked to the MK ULTRA research over at anolen.com: The CIA & Race Riots More good background The Banality of Mind Control.
Very interesting blog, well worth a poke around. Some really interesting insights into the William Colby period & why he fessed up at the Church committee hearings (to hide that MK ULTRA actually did work & Colby's own involvement in drug running) using controlled opposition through book leaks (John Marks Manchurian Candiate / Alfred McCoy The Politics of Heroin ).
The Nazi Zionist tribe tribe is awful quite on this one
I am sure there is a link there somewhere
You blame the jews for your inability to spell as well?
Here we go again, it was not at all the protesters fault just as Hamas is never blamed. We just cant do enough to please violent protesters in Ferguson or Gaza.
It is looking more and more to me as if we are currently being set up. It is hard to conceive how our government and financial institutions could be worse or more corrupt.
This appears to be setting the stage for someone who will come later who will clean house and make things seem better... and we will applaud because any change must be better than what we currently have... which worries me.
And Obama has played his part perfectly as the worst of all possible presidents.
well said, but then many things are well said.
in the end it takes too much work on the part of humans to make changes.
we have had teachers for thousands of years.
ignored, or worse.
lmao, the human condition.
nothing to gives thanks about.
eat your birds.
Gobble goebbels.
Shit won't get real until the dweeb CNN folks in the street start getting stabbed and kicked to death....Till then, it's mostly just theater and monkey play.
one lovely CNN reporter, was on screen ,hit with rocks-on camera-in the forehead! She was also talking romance to certain passersby...she said "No big deal"
What do you mean by that?
The problem is not "white privilege" the problem is BLUE privilege. Cops kill people of all races, and people of all races need to unite against the cops and the rest of the tax feeders.
http://freedominourtime.blogspot.com/2014/11/darren-wilson-and-reality-o...
I'm willing to bet that the National Guard were armed with M16s, but didn't have any ammunition.
That article sums it up.
The Zionist Neocon TRIBE wanted it to happen, because otherwise, their militarised police would not be justifiable.
Hatred of your fellow black Americans > your yearning for a revolt.
Still not sure why Wilson had to fire six shots into Brown. And gosh geez I don't carry a taser because it's too bulky. Lethal decision.
"In his testimony, Officer Wilson said that he did not have a Taser weapon with him at the time, and that he preferred not to carry one because it is large and not “very comfortable.” He said he did not use mace because it was difficult to reach and the spray could have blown back at him. His baton and flashlight, he said, were also inaccessible."
no weapons are required if you don't bull rush a cop
tamir rice "bull rushed" at age 12.
Now that is your type of FACT.
just barry the cartoon activist/agitator trying to whip the masses into conflict
too much flow of info - can't be controlled by the MSM anymore
fuck you barry - rot in hell
The only coincidence here is over 50 years of Democratic party pandering to black Americans for votes.
It hasn't stopped yet and you can bet it won't.
How else does it work in a democracy?
You shoot first and ask questions later?
Who is next on the hit list ?
Latinos, Asians ? Not many Amerindians left to play rifle range bulls eye with.
The US is a Republic not a "democracy".
FUCK Ferguson and every race baitng motherfucking black stupid ass in it.
FUCK OFF BITCHES....YOU'RE WRONG...ALLLLLLL OF YOU...AND YOU'RE FUCKING STUPID.
After Ferguson; now Tamir RICE, 12 year old in Cleveland.
300 Million + guns in private hands and 30 000 deaths a year in the US.
Bravo !
Bringing Vietnam or Syria to the USA?
No to what ever it is you're trying to imply.
you've made my point : you are in Denial all the time.
Black is white, fact is fiction, as seen through your logic lens.
Any fact that destroys the populist Mantra defended here is NOT A FACT.
I imply nothing I state facts, and ask you guys about social cause and effect in YOUR ENVIRONMENT as it plays out.
What exactly does 300 million guns "in private hands" have to do with anything? If it is the people having private ownership of guns that is the problem shouldn't our population be somewhere around 150 million? That is your logic, you assume one survivor and one victim from each use don't you?
And here again, I find the hidden premise and I need an answer.
Is it your opinion that only the government should have guns, you really trust them that much?
Look around you, GW posted an article on Scandinavia...
Where else is the 2nd Amendment type "freedom" in vigor? Are all those other first world nations so corrupted?
How come 50 years after ML King's speech there are huge parts of ethnically different USA that have not obtained basic human rights, in the richest nation on earth?
Republican democracy was the credo of the founding members of the US revolution. The state is the incarnation of the nation. If it is corrupt the nation can elect more honest people; not junk the state, reform it.
If it can't be reformed the Republic is dead. That is what is now being implied in the prevalent ZH forum populist and libertarian logic. The State is dead! Kaput. How can the Republic then live?
Power to a Brass Hat? Back to Dr Strangelove syndrome?
People used to look up to the USA once upon a time. No more.
GW doesn't speak for me, if he wants to allow the state to confiscate 50% (and upwards) of his earnings he can move to somewhere in Scandanavia.
"Where else is the 2nd Amendment type "freedom" in vigor? Are all those other first world nations so corrupted?"
Personally, I don't give a shit about where people have allowed themselves to be disarmed, its not going to happen here so you should stay away and yes, monarchies are inherently corrupt, even if only as a figurehead, as it puts the idiotic idea into the populaces head that even a fucking retard (born into the correct family blood line) is above everyone else.
"The state is the incarnation of the nation. If it is corrupt the nation can elect more honest people; not junk the state, reform it.
If it can't be reformed the Republic is dead."
It can't be reformed if the population doesn't even know the responsibilities & differences between a republic and a democracy. You can't vote to hire the state to come in and steal from your neighbor and then give it to you and call yourself a republic. They have the that responsibility to restrain themselves and the state at the ballot box as well as with a gun.
And if they can't respect that, then the well armed sheep does indeed have the right to dispute any vote count between themself and the two wolves on what to have for dinner, only the consent to the rule of law bestows a monopoly of force on the state, you break the rule of law and you have broken the entire social compact and the contract to be governed period.
This pretty elemental stuff falak and you know all this instinctively.
You get the last word as I have a long trip to go on and I don't need any government agencies permission or need to hold a vote among my neighbors to do it ;-)
Amen to that.
There is a tonality in your post reminiscent of Jefferson Davis.
If I recall correctly, the US government charged the man with treason so he demanded a trial under the victors own rules & laws but was never tried or convicted and finally released.
You should ask yourself what his prosecutors were afraid of the general public finding out ;-)
you cannot force to "right" to think for yourself upon anyone. that is the only right that any person in America is lacking compared to anyone else ... that isn't an elected official .. or one of their buddies.
Although if there are, could you please list them for me? i'll wait.
you'll have a long wait 'cos I don't even understand your question.
But if your question pertains to Law, not to personal opinion, I've answered it above.
The Law is "right" think for everyone.
The answer to your first question is yes. Those states deny their individual citizens the ability to protect themselves and defend their individual natural rights. Collective rights are bullshit. We and our loved ones suffer and die individually. The Right to Keep and Bear Arms is the gold standard measure of liberty. It ensures that there is a price that tyrants will pay for violating our rights (natural rights- your rights of man?). On its most basic level those rights are enforced individually but by no means precludes actions by sympathetic and outraged families, friends, neighbors, communities, areas, regions or states, or even religious associations (see Guy Fawkes). There is also no guarantee of victory - the "good" guys don't necessarily win. Jefferson recognized that the Liberty Tree must be watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants, alike.
How can it possibly be that 150 years after over 600,000 people died to successfully "free the slaves" in the USA at the behest of "Honest" Abraham Lincoln, replete with tweaking the Constitution, that whole ethnic segments of the population lack "basic human rights"? Whose basic human rights, the UN's? The Founders' BoR? The Supremes'? I suggest that they have those basic human rights on paper (the original BoR of the Constitution), they have but to enforce them, first at the ballot box by rational selection of alternative representatives (We ARE supposed to have a representative republic, NOT a representative democracy, which was anathema to many of the Founders), then at the cartridge box when that peaceful, lawful process is denied and/or co-opted by corrupt parties, courts, propaganda media, financial oligarchs, bureaucrats and tyrannical politicians.
The state (government?) is NOT the incarnation of the nation. It is simply the current suite of political leadership. If that leadership cons the population, co-opts the legitimate process and variously fails to act in their interest, then they should be fired (and punished when necessary). Lord Acton had it right! The nation isn't dead, the state is corrupt and the nation suffers, a whole middle class being gradually economically obliterated in fact. I suggest that that is the essence of the ZH hue and cry.
...collective rights are BS...
So rule of law, decided by a legislature and applicable to ALL, is up to the individual to decide in his own case !
Funny idea of justice. You don't get past square 1.
Natural law is the original common law. The right of self defense is a law of nature that is defended ny the bill of rights (of the former US Republic)
Of course the "logic" of that argument is broken by the FACT that the cities with the most gun murders are the ones where guns are most strictly disallowed. But that would torque falak's little brain.
It seemed odd to announce so late. I thought maybe they wanted to give people time to get home as they new major interstates etc. were to be blocked by protestors. With as much anticipation and community anger over the decision they have to allow for a pressure release. Which is probably why they chose to do it as late as possible and interfered as little as possible. The next night National Guard and police presence was much more noticeable. Plus, they had the weather forecasting snow which gave them a two night window to bleed off as much anger as possible. Had they engaged full crack down it would have stoked anger to riot more. Hopefully the full on burn it down mentality has passed.
No need to go to conspiracy when rational explanations exist.
Ferguson: Classic Problem-Reaction-Solution Scheme:

Russ - Great line in this story:
Is the Ferguson “Planned Response” Organized, Bought and Paid For?http://winteractionables.com/?p=16630#more-16630
The typical pre-staging as a “conspiracy theorist” should be blatantly obvious to a thinking person. There is one common thread with all these alleged anti-government “crazies” though: They always target innocent people, never the agents of government itself.
There must be a no smoking ordinance in Fergieville, so I hope they all observed it while they protested and painted the town red.
Anyhow, tell somebody who really gives a shit, they might be interested.
I guess if they want to rob, pillage and burn down there, that's their business.
Life's too short to really care what the hell they do, if they want to protest, let them protest. The stupid shits don't know any better so they can have at it for all I care.
If you like your protest, you can have your protest.
Yes of course.....divide and conquer

Gee, think maybe the businesses could have been better protected if the ossifieds of the law and the National Garage were put inside the buildings instead of surrounding the town?
Humanity believes it has progressed into civilization or civil societies – it has not. Otherwise we would have come together long ago and done away with the four horsemen of the apocalypse, which are wars (Ukranine), death (ISIS), famine (Africa), and pestilence (Ebola).
When “civil” society ends we go back to our roots. Obama has ended our “civil and lawful” society by dividing us back into tribes. The shooting of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown are clear messages “lawful society” is dying and we are again tribes.
When the white tribe states “…We are a society of laws. These young black men did not follow our laws and that is why they died…” The black tribe counters “civil law” is now a thing of the past it is now tribal law. The first rule of tribes is “…we will protect our own kind…” Listen to the black tribes message “ … It was a loss of life. It was murder. It was an unarmed black man...” The message is clear from the black tribe to the white tribe “…your laws and system are corrupt. Stop killing our children...”
So contemporary US history BEGAN with OBAMA?
The rot SUDDENLY set in in Jan 2009.
The time line of 60s 70s 80s 90s 00s is irrelevant to this evolution of USA?
Not that I disapprove of your lyricism about Humanitas and the 4 Horsemen.
But I doubt if the Blacks are tribal, they just have "a dream that the USA is lawful".
Incompetence by design might be the real conspiracy.
So you think the cop should have offered the thug a light? And let him take his firearm?
An average of three people are killed by police in America per day...and Michael Brown was the strongest case they could find of police aggression? Yeah right. The focus was immediately moved from police brutality to race for a reason: divide and conquer. Incite riots, inflame tensions, turn it into an all out media circus. And make sure we all know that Michael Brown was killed because he was black, so that 87% of the population can turn away in disgust, because this problem has now become unsolvable to both sides. All while the state continues pillaging all of us in every way they can think up. You Fergusan folks got played like a fiddle...nothing to see here folks..
So the theory is that rioting, burning, looting and mayhem in general were permitted, or even encouraged, to make the news headlines more interesting, or because we have a black President, or because they hoped they would just burn Ferguson to the ground and solve the problem? First of all, I don't buy the notion that the city, the police, and other first responders did nothing. They can't be everywhere and protesters and rioters have a tendency to go where there are no police - at least in the beginning. Second of all, they may have hoped that most of it would be peaceful and didn't want to appear heavy handed which would have made it worse. Seems to me this was about restraint and balance hoping for a better outcome.
The author is an idiot. For one, he needs to learn the definition of a "coincidence." None of the things he calls coincidences are just that, they're just facts.
Backtrack to the 1992 Rodney King riots in Koreatown when the authorities provoked anger at the Koreans to protect Beverly Hills. Note- the Koreans did not get FEMA,
The point of history is to learn from the past.
I'm sure the KKK, Stormfront, Nazis, Panthers, La Raza or every delightful little twerp using the Jerry Springer inspired UNNECESSARY collateral damage as a soap box.
INcluding Benjamin Watson (who is from New Orleans- where the RIOTERS WERE BLESSED WITH FEMA) had the audacity to talk anybody down.
I don't care if it's well meaning.
IF I were physically in their presence, I would hand them a shovel and a plane ticket to St. Louis and bark order to help out the businesses.
I do think this is the threatened boomer society's way of destroying the private sector in the U.S.
The reason why I posted the Koreatown incident is because I have to point something out.
The Koreans in their ruined neighborhood (it has been in HORRIBLE shape until maybe 2010-AWFUL. And it was NOT the Koreans- it' was LA and the goof liberal policies that they got stuck in because new immigrants need affordable accomidations that are situated near the government)...
The Koreans managed to get strong grades, scholarships, management positions and develop heavy hitting mulitnational megacorporations. The Koreans altogether don't have a healthcare crisis or much of the other big bullshit that the US imposes on it's population.
The racists- the white racists became welfare whores after they failed school and ended up smoking meth. The black racists became welfare whores after they failed school and ended up smoking crack. The latino racists deliver the stash from a superlab.
The moral of the story is to always do the right thing despite circumstances.
The Koreans overcame that bullshit.
We're passing the torch along.
Yes I will fight for their business owners always and I hope to contribute to their recovery from afar because I can't make it to Ferguson to help them clean up.
IT was never an easy battle, but one worth winning. The victims were the bigger people because instead of relying on the government to subsidize their crack/meth habits- the store owners braved the frontier and fended for themselves and yes that does threaten the government.
The store owners in and near Ferguson were hit because they were doing the right thing, in the same way that Healthy women in North Korea were served poisoned kimchi in the concentration camps. And being that the topic is of race, our idiot boomer elected government (I cannot handle their decisions)--- were racist enough to have the CIA finance Nazi Kievs.
The government is running out of fuel and ideas. The racists will end up on welfare for their meth and crack habits. Being a racist did nothing for the Dixies, the Klan, La Raza, Nazis or stormfront- the owners and everyone else should not stoop to that level. The Koreans did not and fared much better than the racists and those who need a lifeline (FROM THE PRIVATE SECTOR) will too.
We shall overcome.
