Well, hopefully not all of us. But given that Man has no Natural predator (other than Banksters, Lobbyists and Politicians), maybe a selective culling of the human Herd is just what we need as a species -- "for the greater good of the planet".
Until the Industrial Age and Modern Medicine came along, God (or Mother Nature, if you prefer) did a fine job of culling us on a regular basis. Now both God & Nature seem "Underemployed", to which I can relate.
Maybe an AI can pick up the slack and "do God's work" in keeping the human masses in a population balance. If it uses a trick that Jack Welch used to use at GE for many years, then the Bottom 10% gets whacked on a regular basis. That way, the "Average" keeps improving. But, with Jack's departure, 'whacking' people is no longer in vogue in USSA, I hear.
