Video Of The Day – This Is What Happens When You Call The Cops
Submitted by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,
In a healthy, moral and civilized society defined by the rule of law, police can play an important role. They should be people who come from the communities they promise to “protect and serve.” They should view themselves as a part of these communities, not as something separate and distinct. Police should see their jobs as having a great degree of risk, and must be willing to accept that risk. This means not pretending to be a solider at war, not choosing the most violent solution to every problem, and not viewing the citizenry as milk cows ready and willing to be drained of their assets via civil forfeiture.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the state of the police in America in 2014, and it’s quickly becoming obvious to everyone. Ferguson was a key moment in this awakening, when white pundits and others typically confined to less distraught communities, witnessed the militarized police in all its SWAT team horror for the first time. In the piece, “A Good Time Was Had By All” – The Obamas Dance the Night Away as Ferguson, Missouri Burns, I wrote:
I believe Ferguson will be seen as a major turning point. The point in which many well-intentioned, but incredibly naive folks in white mainstream America woke up to what we have become. Many people, particularly those in the media, have been willfully ignorant about the destruction of freedom and civil liberties in America. The events in Ferguson have taken a gigantic mirror and successfully pointed it squarely at our civil society and the image it has reflected back is one of a horrific, militarized, authoritarian monster.
Many people have strongly condemned the failure of a grand jury to indict officer Darren Wilson for the shooting of Michael Brown, but a far more disturbing failure occurred yesterday. This relates to a case from my hometown of NYC, where a cop was caught strangling an unarmed man to death in broad daylight for the non-crime of selling untaxed cigarettes. The man’s name was Eric Garner and the entire incident was caught on tape. It’s absolutely horrifying that the cops were not indicted here, and proves that like bankers, the profession is completely above the law.
I know, I know, where’s the proof? Well here’s some from FiveThirtyEight:
A St. Louis County grand jury decided Monday that police officer Darren Wilson will not face trial for shooting and killing unarmed teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Grand juries usually return indictments; the one exception is cases involving police shootings. But more than that, police shootings, and allegations of police misconduct in general, almost never make it in front of a grand jury. And officers rarely face legal consequences for allegations of misconduct.
This chart from the site pretty much sums it up. Read it and weep.
Rather than giving cops the “benefit of the doubt,” I would argue that, if anything, police should be held to a higher standard. This is because once the general population starts to lose trust in cops things can get very nasty, very quickly. This trust is important and it needs to be based on reality, not propaganda.
To understand how absurd the lack of an indictment is in the Garner case specifically, the Huffington Post notes:
Grand juries are meant to determine only whether there is “probable cause” to indict a criminal suspect — a standard far lower than the “beyond a reasonable doubt” standard that comes into play when deciding guilt at trial. Federal prosecutors secured indictments in more than 99.9 percent of the 162,000 cases they brought before grand juries in 2010. But in Missouri and New York, two grand juries decided that even that low hurdle had not been surmounted.
How you can watch that video and not see probable cause is simply beyond me.
With that in mind, watch the following powerful video: This Is What Happens When You Call the Cops
The video highlighted several cases that I’ve written about here at Liberty Blitzkrieg.

Your sister is from Indiana? My brother lives in Arizona.
With miniturized electronics, they should be able to put tasers inside the bullets.
Best of both worlds.
Non-lethal in the leg or ass, but with the option of shooting to kill in the center of mass.
Oh wtf, on second thought, install the exploding collars at birth.
her name was Miriam Carey.
"Police should see their jobs as having a great degree of risk and should accept that risk.". I disagree. You mess with the bull you get the horns. That's why they are licenced to use lethal force. Don't mess with the police.
and it's statistically one of the safer jobs out there.
I knew a cop who quit after 7 years because he'd been shot at 6 times in those 7 years. Hell, when I was a soldier in Africa, that was a typical weekday morning.
We are ALL authorized the use of deadly force. It's the 2nd Amendment.
It's an unalienable, God-given right, which predates the Constitution by thousands of years.
Crossbow beats knight.
I agree with what people are saying about the police but I more scared of what our media and news organizations have become. Their lies and propaganda are out of control. They are inciting riots with their lies.
The media is not out there killing and beating people...yet.
OH?
Maybe not Directly....
A lot of police are steroid enhanced 20 somethings.. but anyone still in uniform over age 30 or 40 knows their job involves raping the Constitution, and if they don't have the honor to hang it up, they deserve what they have coming.
Not all are bad guys. Oathkeepers, for example.
What oath? To uphold some parts of the Constitution?
As far as I can tell, "Oathkeepers" promise not to confiscate your guns, but have no problem kicking down doors for drug raids, enforcing civil forfeiture, and any other number of grossly unconstitutional laws.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pWXpjqc0uE8
these FAKE divisions in society are purposely made as a distraction
go to the source of all crime .. the central Bankers !!
destroy them and fiat money, and everything will return to a peaceful normalcy
its that simple
Where is the video of the cop getting beat down by three guys? Or having a gun to his head, held by a thug, while the mob shouts "SHOOT HIM, SHOOT HIM!!"? Or the cop dead behind the wheel of his car, sniped by ghetto trash gangsters as an initiation?
I have NO TOLERANCE for goons. I grew up around cops and learned to shoot handguns on the Snohomish County Sherrif's range and I know MOST cops aren't like that; those that are deserve neither mercy or pity for their violation of our trust, and should be rooted out and cast down.
Where are all the "good cops" to root out the bad ones? Are the "good cops" all inept? They can only catch 300lbs guys selling loosey's?
If there were any "Good Cops", there would be very very few Bad ones, after all they are right under the "Good Cops" noses, the lawlessness happens right in front of the good ones. Why don't they arrest the bad ones, testify against them.
Ya "Good Cops", we're told they exist, just can't find one.
Where are all the " good" citizens keeping the shitty ones in line?
It's amazing to me how much the American people have changed in the past 30 years, and I attribute this to federalization of education, done in 1979. Many, if not most, Americans - particularly Whites - have been thoroughly brainwashed into authoritarianism. This is totally contrary to the idea of America, which was founded on a rejection of authority and the idea that we could be self governing. But when you accept that we are not equal before the law, and that some groups are to be favored over others, you need a governing authority. We have lost our cultural heritage.
What makes you think the cops didn't deserve it?
People are pacified by watching COPS on TV-where everything is handled by the book; if these guys are that bad, imagine our Military either overseas, or being used here to keep us down. Professionals dont act in the way most of these clips show. Too bad the PD is peppered with amatuers
It is very telling how MSM's have been handling the murder of a 19-year old white girl, Samantha Ramsey, and how they handle the two cases of killing black Americans. They have been pushing the racial card ad nauseam while in fact, we have been dealing with police brutality and using excessive force. Just because Samantha was intoxicated, had smoked marijuana and drove over Deputy Tyler Brockman's right foot, watching this clip, it seems it was perfectly justified to kill her. If this is not a case of using an excessive force I don't know what is.
wow - so the media spin is that because she had a light drink [limit is 0.25 in europe, she was 0.12] and a smoke, she deserved to get assasinated at point blank range., o yeah, she scuffed the officer's shoe.
The court said not guilty, the officer walks,,.. logic anyone ?.....anyone ?....anyone.....?
Here is another incident involving police killing a man, this time in Hollywood, California yesterday (12/5/2014).
You fall right into the trap and using racial issues as a divider. The issues are people using excessive and lethal force against civilians that is unjustified whether the person is white/black, male/female, old/young, etc. Ditto the BS civil forfeiture issue especially for people not actually convicted of any crime. That money and any people ceased should automatically be returned to the innocent civilian instead of making them run through a ridiculous gauntlet and requiring a lawyer. Those are the real issues that effect everyone regardless of political idealogy.
Our negroes have become celebrity thugs. The author and the commenters make sure that they don't mention race. They must all be college grads where they have been taught that there is no such thing as race. No wonder that all of the dark orcs have a contempt for whites. We don't have an identity.
It could be worse than liberal voting union cops and the fsa fighting each other.
In fact it's kinda fun.
I'm sure that the utterly reprobate state of characterless Americans has nothing to do with it. It is almost like we as a nation kicked God out and started living according to our own "wisdom" and foolishly reaped what we sowed.
Yeah that is why violent crime is at it lowest levels per capita it nearly 60 years. This is the single dumbest thing you hear echoed. Stopping worshipping a magic sky being lead to epidemic violence. We need more animal and virgin sacrifices to appease the magic sky being!
Right the the lowest crime rate statistics....brought to you by the people who tell you we have the lowest unemployment. I'm sure they don't lie go on worshiping your magic god of state they are the root of truth. Hurry warm up the drones we should appease your god with the blood of some more brown children from the Middle East.
Or exactly that reason.
You can stick your "we" were the sun don't shine.
The Tribe will lose in the end...I hope and I will fight to the death to that end. If not history will never know about the thruth of these times that we live in. In the end the human desire for freemdom will prevail and the forces of evil will be defeated. At least that is how is plays out in all of those Transformers movies that I love.
this is b.s. these are people who want a lawless america (mainly the bankers, who are already there) when obama says hes going to do this or that for the black community, ask yourself, what has he done so far? and what has he done for goldman sachs and the central bankers? to allow a gruberlike statement, the people are stupid, they think the cops are against them, (for whatever reason? what is the reason?) the cops are merely working class types, who try to uphold the law. obama has never liked the cops, going back to the cambridge professor, when he got his smart ass response handed back to him. somebody should impeach him, the lawless sob, who murders children with drones, and conducts illegal wars. really people do you follow any declaration on justice this man explains to you? then you are truly fucked. a world without police is a far far less hospitable place
You people have all the attention span of a goldfish.
3 months ago every other story was about the NSA/CIA/FBI/MI6 listening to everybody's recorded phone conversations.
Everybody knows they cooperate with local law enforcement, and even tap locals for "boots on the ground" intel, reports, and perspective.
None of you know what information was presented to the grand jury, but you all hate cops.
Good luck when you need one.
Having been in emergency services (fire and police) for the past forty years and having a degree in Police Science I believe the current problems have their root in political correctness. Not too many years ago the PC crowd made us drop our requirements for Police Officers. They said that it was not fair that women be excluded and it was not fair that we had height and weight requirements. They made us drop the passing score on written tests so more "disadvantaged" people could become Police Officers. They made us accept more marginal candidates that had poor work records, negative encounters with Law Enforcement in the past were to be overlooked. They changed the physical fitness requirements and lowered the polygraph scores to make us more inclusive. You wanted the police department to reflect the mores and values of the population in general and that is what you got. Be careful of what you wish for, you might just get your wish. The current situation in Law Enforcement is your fault, good luck with your choices.
Physical requirements and lack of standards is a big issue but let's not pretend 30 or 40 years ago the police were hiring the 'best and brightest' either. Hell where I grew up in PA (towards the sticks in farm country in between Harrisburg and Reading), the local police were a running joke. They had nothing to do since it was such a low crime area and rural.
6 police officers (and white male with only a high school education) and they were pretty much jokes. Ridiculous over response to any type of noise complaint and primarily gave non-locals a hard time on traffic stops.
Lead officer son's was the biggest drug dealer in high school selling decent amounts of weed/LSD/shrooms (white rural hippie stuff) with some minor token hard stuff and his other son who was a football guy raped a cheerleader at a party but got off due to his dad's pressure.
So you let women, "disadvantaged" and marginal candidates lower your standards?
It's a poor craftsman who blames his tools.
Gender is a bar to ethics? Since when? Even the most ignorant among us tend to understand simple directives such as 'thou shalt not kill'.
So, police decided to sink to the least common denominator, rather than expect excellence, and now society regards all of you as tools.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
So speak for yourself and stop begging for someone to save your ass !! Besides that they didn't get enough of the joooze so your safe ...for now
Overgeneralize much? There are about 18,000 law enforcement agencies in the US. Many good, many bad. There are about 800,000 officers in the US. Mostly good, some bad. There have been and will be individual acts by officers that are reprehensible. Generalize that to all 800,000? Lazy and stupid.
800,000 "officers" and how many running amuck in kevlar with full auto weaponry, assault vehicles and grenades of one type or another...sounds looks like a military to me. Since having been in said military I can atest that "soldiers" er "officers" take orders hmmm seems to me that means no distinction of good or bad ...only means you disobey and you are no longer a viable stooge er ah "officer",,,, militarized police are just establishment thugs. Stop boot licking
I don't know how knowlegable you are about the cops Sub. I was one for 30 years, a good one. Virtually all of them I knew and worked with were ethical and honorable. This generalizing and bashing all cops is ill-informed and lazy. Get off your couch and go ride a shift with an officer, most agencies allow that. Then I might listen to you.
800,000 is larger than the U.S. Army and National Guard. Hmmm. With the same equipment almost? Hmm.
The same equipment? Too funny, Arby! Not in my town and I bet not in yours.
Really. 800,000. Not enough.
How many gang members/convicts are there?
When the shtf. we're gonna need all the cops and the national guard.
If they show up.
Now now, don't bring logic into it! I'm sure all 60,000+ cops in NYC are ALL HORRIBLE monsters.... A nearly thankless job (like the military these days) that I am grateful good people do.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUbU1sUABZg
oh that vids ugly...the usa is fubar. people will start shooting cops.
Well it is a powerful musc vidio. The message I get is think about taking care of shit yourself.
I like it.
There should be special work camps for convicted cops.
Hard outdoor work like smashing boulders with sledgehammers.
Or picking cotton while chained to one another.
#1. 1913 federal reserve act.
#2. 1964 civil-rights act.
#3. 2008-2009 all bail-outs, and stimulus.
this is pure marxism, americas economy, and financial well being has been completly over taken by people who despise americas capitalistic economy, which needs to fail to succeed in their plans, of a nwo, globalism, population control, ( lowering the world population by 3 BILLION).
for 60 yrs. (since 1913, #1.) anti-americans, fraudulent, and naive politicians have passed laws, enacted rules, and regulations to let a non-american interest, take control over americas financing.
1964, the passing of equal-rights act, when every american were equal according to the 1886 civil-rights act, but politicians as in 1913, instead of doing the hard work, (enforcing laws, the constitution), punted again.
there's been internal striff in america ever since, the marxist politicians, and politics has been behind it all.
#3. 2008-2009, the absolute total give away of americas financial future.
the only gainers, of course marxist politicians, their cronies, bankers, crony capitalist, and public sector unions, were enriched by trillions.
then to one of the biggest, and most impotant part of a marxist take over of america, the msm, no explaination needed.
then the ridding of capitalism, aided by msm.
then continuous internal strife, between any class, sex, religion, and race of the population, and the continuous pounding of the msm.
now after that, i'll start with the death of the black man, do to chocking by white policeman.
this one i don't understand the grand jury decision, and i don't know what charges they to decide on, but from what i seen was at the least man-slaughter, IF his breathing problem had some part of his death, if not your looking at 1murder count, and 3-4 accomplises.
ferguson is easy, his friends, and neighbors testified against him.
politics is all over the ferguson riots, election year in a red state, hell you had sharpton, (a whitehouse adviser), jackson, holder, and o'bama waving the red flag in front of the bull.
so the usual happened, the law-abiding blacks of ferguson took the hit, as they do everyday.
You left out the most destructive Act of all....1965 Immigration "Reform". Within another generation this will have transformed the USA into a Third World shit hole like Brazil. And no, this was NOT Teddy Kennedy's Act. This monstrosity was brought to you courtesy of the Tribe. http://irishsavant.blogspot.ie/2014/04/the-ted-kennedy-immigration-act-n...
But where are the "good" cops that I always hear about from the bootlickers? It would be easier to find a fucking unicorn than it would a "good" cop.
The good cops are in my town, hangem.
They are in your town too, I know this because you are alive, have electricity and all the other perks of civilisation.
I was arrested once and pulled over several times by the popo. I was both praying and cursing (silently) as they confronted me. In all instances I was nice as pie and used the word "SIR" quite liberally. The moral is that I did not resist them and did not get shot. I also live in a city where horrendous crimes have been perpetrated (sorry, but mainly by blacks) and the blue line has helped in keeping those people from doing more harm than they do - which is the other side to the meme going national that the police are the blacks biggest problem. Black and white sheeple
'nuther white apollagist...you a suckah...
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."
-C.S. Lewis
I am writing a fiction novel, it is somewhat like "Star Chamber" whereas there becomes a list of all the bad cops, politicians and bankers. Their names and pictures are on a website, whereas the people can pledge money to a "hit" on their favorite criminal public figure, and when the money is right, there may be several Hit men that come out of the wood work to take this guy/guys out. Then they get paid through Bitcoin. All of these public figures can see the price on their head/s keep rising with the amount of wrong doing they do to society.
Will you buy my book?
To hell with the book start the website !!
peepses writin' songs...what voices nevah shey...suck up 'nuf asshole to da right honkeys, you be in 'em bro'...
The French in Paris are the same but they keep it behind closed doors.
Police hiring standards in the U.S. have generally improved and let's not act like the police didn't ever use a heavy hand with police before especially minor communities. In Philly it was common practice up through Frano Rizzo's days that if the arrested guy (especially if he was black) gave the officers trouble or was difficult, that the suspects would behandcuffed with his hands behind his back and throw into the paddywagon. Before taking him to the station or central booking, they would drive around town for quite a while often taking turns at high speeds or trying to hit potholes. Suspect who had his hands handcuffed behind his back would almost get slammed around in the back. Never kill the suspect but it certainly would give him a ton of bruises and occasionally do something like discolate a shoulder/break a rib or two if the suspect was flung to hard on to the floor or side.
Every now and then they would over do it especially if the guy broke a few ribs and have to take a suspect to an ER room at a hospital that had an understanding with the Philly Police about what had actually occured. Instead it would be written up as 'resisting arrest' on the police arrest report with the injuries due to officers have to defend themselves.
What the recent issues have brought up though is that there are way too many cops are way to quick and unnecessarily use excessive and fatal force in killing suspects. It is a huge problem and one that the media should be focuson on a lot more.
Civil forfeiture is another and I would argue even bigger problem since the legal recourses for acquiring back property that was ceased from people who weren't even charged with a crime is lengthy and expensive offering requiring a lawyer. For any working person, it posses a huge hindrance and barrier to receiving these funds back especially if it requiers to travel a lengthy ways to where the money was ceased. Absolutely appauling that this has become a major revenue generator for police departments nationwide. Become such a problem too that it isn't only a one-off or isolated problem either with even some of the national media starting to focus on it.
While the Democrats (due to pandering largely to black voter to show they care when they really don't give a shit) cares a bit about police killings, the GOP except some liberterians don't give a shit unless it involves the federal gov't vs a white guy. Neither party from what I have seen has done anything either about civil forfeiture.
The average cop is just treading water like most Americans. No wonder they're upset.
another shooting in LA (cali) here we go again reports say unarmed ?? story on RT
First, let me say that I am White. Almost without exception, Whites support authority. They say "if you do what the police say, you will be OK." Many people have been killed by the police doing exactly as they say. Beyond that, we are not a free society if we must do as we are told. Whites say "Brown robbed a store!" No he didn't - he shoplifted a few cigars, or at least that's what they say. Was all of this worth a few cigars? It all could have been avoided so easily by letting the officer stand trial. I agree with the author that the police should be held to a higher standard than the public. If the police kill someone, they should answer to that.
I live outside the US. The police here - and in fact in every other country I have traveled through except the US - are very discreet. It's nothing like in the US, and I hope it never is.
The gross assumption is that lawyers are free. The reality is being indicted means you are bankrupted by lawyer costs regardless of outcome. Even if you "win", you lose.
And that's one of the most powerful weapons in the "liberals" armory. In Canada for example the Orwellian-named Human Rights Commission can prosecute anyone they want for 'inciting hate' (read, saying something non-PC). Key point, even if the guy charged wins the case he cannot claim legal expenses whereas the HRC is financed by the Government.
Look, dumb ass. The thug wouldn't have been killed IF: he hadn't assaulted a smaller businessman, stolen from that smaller business man, walked in the street instead of the sidewalk, AND hadn't tried to take the Policeman's gun. That's good you live outside the US. We don't need chickenshit apologists to participate in the chaos being forced on us.
oh, dat to much...d'billy bob tink d' riot don' happen if'n d'gand jury indite? no buddy gon' give a rat bag wut colah you is billy...and d'black wud gon' riot no mattah wut d'gand jury say fool...
You are full of shit. The polilce in other countries, like what, Mexico, South Africa, South America...oh, ask Julian Assange what he thinks of the police in Sweden. The "cops" in Mexico were riding around in trucks with full auto Uzis....yeah, real discreet.
when the monkeys walk in the middle of the street in south chicago and glare at you because you are white trying to make a living in their neighborhood just gently accelerate and steer your car toward them to see how big the whites of their eyes get, see we have sidewalks and crosswalks in a civilized society. When the animals make the rules you must just be a stronger animal. Don't try this if you are unwilling to deal with the consequences. My 5 year old grandson knows you don't walk in the street and cross only at the corner crosswalks and wait for the walk signal. The south Chicago natives usally of the pre adult age range though not always seem to have not learned this by the ages of 14 to 30.
By the way I routinely run sales calls in South Chicago. I am white. I get glares and looks of hatred every day,,, all day,,, while walking to my car,,, while eating at the Subway, while gassing up my car, simply for being white. Don't talk to me about race relations in this country unless you have lived it. I have lived in the hood or near the hood both in Detroit and Chicago. I remember 1968. We as a society have been force fed this huge racial divide/hatred for over 40 years and I call bullshit. I sell home repairs to blacks, whites, Indians, chinese, Philippinos and all variations of Asians year in and year out. If you follow me to my car to try and rob me you are a thug. I do not care what color you are. I do not care what sex you are. I do not care that daddy didn't give you baths or mommy didn't hug you enough raising you. All I care about is getting home safe to my family after working all day. Don't hate me for being white. Actually if I hold up a sheet of white paper next to my skin i am not even white.
I am 59. I have lived a long productive life. I no longer recognize my country. It is a shame that I should have to carry concealed to feel safe walking in any neighborhood in America minding my own business trying to make a living. We now have "protesters" blocking major roadways here in Chicago too. Never, ever in mob scene like that slow down enough to let them open your car doors or break your windows. In a crowd like that it only takes a spark. We are on that razors edge now. I have seen some of the "protesters" and a lot of them are white college age zit covered faces with no date and nothing better to do. When the cry goes out,,, get whitey,,,, they will be the first to go.
Good weekend to all.
Spoken as a man who's walked the walk. I remember at the UI Champaign campus the academic staff were bleeding heart liberals almost without exception. Yet they all lived miles from the 'vibrant' neighborhoods - and would never go near them - and just had a few token trophy blacks as friends. Total f*cking hypocrits one and all.
It's strange seeing the stuff in Ferguson. I work with Blacks Mexicans Chinese Iranians every day and none of them identify with the stuff that's going on there.
Thats because its just a distraction.
This whole story, the outrage, the anger, THE DEVISION, is a Govt manufactured media misdirection.
The pot of racial hatered is being stirred and stoked to a boil to redirect the OUTRAGE people are feeling on an instinctive level at the state of their economic situation.
If the death of a few men is so important, where is the outpouring of emotion over the THOUSANDS of blacks killed by fellow blacks?
Or whites killed by blacks.
A life is a life, color is irrelevant.
They are just as unfairly dead.
Wake up, your base emotions are being used, to keep people from focusing on the fact that our Govt has been hijacted by folks who represent themselves.
Only partly true. Color is not irrelevant. Blacks commit crime, especially violent crime, at rates vastly in excess, by multiple orders of magnitude, of those of other races. If the elites were never committing their crimes there'd still be a major problem with blacks. Anything they touch turns to shit. You know it, I know it, we all know it but are too terrified of the Thought Police to say so.
dat zackly why dey keep d'negro on d'plantation...not fo' sale down rivah o' no ware...
Regular folks don't identify with most of what is spun by our lamestream media. Everbody that is not one of the connected, is nothing to our elitists whose agenda is to keep themselves and their ilk, in power with all the gravy on their potatoes, only..
Want to solve the problem, cut funding.
A reign of terror! Where can one look for justice in this country? Courts of justice are corrupt. Corruption seems the order of the day. Was just reading what Mark Udal says about the CIA Torture Report,
"When this report is declassified, people will abhor what they read. They’re gonna be disgusted."When one looks at the civil forfeiture laws (to give just one example) - totally innocent Americans being robbed by the police of their hard earned cash while on the road and with no recourse, little wonder that the authorities are less and less respected!!!
The cops are going to have to start dying before any change gets made. It's coming, with all those Americans buying firearms and hardening their homes to thwart military-style CQC assaults. Prep your home so when they come to assault/steal/kill your pets/kids/you, you have a good chance to lay those fuckers out.
d'shotgun gon' go 'round d'body armah when d'blast directed at d'neck, and d'groin...
i am really just disgusted with the brutality and ignorant attitude by the police today. I remember when i was a kid I used to look up to cops as hero's. Today, I look at them and feel absolute distaste and will need to bring up my children with a different view on cops. Yes, i know, not all coppers are bad. But i can tell you today that their attitudes and aggression is not hidden. They don't even care if they get taped as they will just play stupid and lie. the whole system is broken. the few good cops are pushed into a corner to lie and stand up for their law breaking colleagues. the only thing i can see happening would be a revolution and everyone starts carrying just to protect themselves. it's sad when you are more likely to be killed by the police then die in a car accident in the good old USA.
until their is justice for all those innocent people who have been victimized by police brutality or killed, people will not trust the police. their will be more tension and a tipping point will occur where people just stop taking the abuse and rise up. a death of a human being should be dealt with no matter who is involved. a cops life is no more valuable then a homeless person, imo.
Is the training for cops today different then it was in past decades? are they teaching anything that is not violence? it seems to me that most cops who break the law and terrorize the people have some type of personality disorder and/or no morals. they enjoy beating people up and even shooting people. they will wait till u are handcuffed and then slap or kick you in the head. then you have all the vets coming back from raping and killing innocent people in 3rd world countries to police the streets of our country. they are trigger happy and unstable but given a badge and gun because they take orders well.
i have no respect for cops anymore. each time i look at one i see brutality and tyranny.
Well then, the cops should all go on strike for about a week.
Those of us who practice the 2nd Amendment and have prepped will do just fine. The rest of you can see what anarchy is like up close and personal.
Fuck you and stick your comment about us vets where the sun don't shine. Asswipe.
yeah, d' poifect vets...d'McCain, and d'Kerry of da woild...
The "preserve and protect" one sees decaled on police cars, is just spin. The supreme court of our land has ruled that police don't have to preserve or protect, anybody.
The ubiquitous test taken to be a policeman in the cities, is slanted so that sociopathic individuals pass with the highest scores and they don't have to be local sociopaths to get hired.
The legal establishment that takes the oath to be a member of our legal system, is corrupt, immoral, unethical, mendacious, and idealogical.
There is only one solution.
Only when the cops starting getting dead will a change be made. They should be hunted like the animals they are.
I thought yo'a$$ wud a good place fo' yo'$h1t...
*Yawn* I've seen some of the full videos in that collection and some of guys going down were nothing short of thug scum, like poor old treyvon or baby mike - lotta ZH'ers crying for them these days? Didn't think so but man from the lens of the liberal media it's just 'po po alwaze be beatin us downz!'
I've been around metropolitan cops off an on for 20 + years and just like military guys they run the spectrum; I don't socialize with them but I don't demonize them either. There is no excuse for the heavy handed / lethal brutality that some get away with - just saying some parts of the video makes victims out of victimizers and that smells like white liberal guilt bullshit to me.
That is what you get when you take them away from their donut time.
Great article, except you forgot one thing. NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE. There will be some token cosmetic change, which will soon be forgotten and ignored, and politicians will make speeches about changing things, but nothing will come of it. We already have federal laws (just off the top of my head, US Code 18, sections 241 and 242... I'm sure there are others) to deal with government employees who violate people's rights, but they are rarely enforced. Cops go into court and they can prove that whatever they did was consistent with their training and their rules, and the case gets dropped. In other words, violating YOUR RIGHTS and violating FEDERAL LAW is what they are trained to do and what their rules tell them to do, therefore it becomes legal regardless of what the law says (even tho it really makes them, by their own definition, a criminal enterprise subject to the RICO laws, and all can be convicted on the actions of one).
Don't think that you can change things at the ballot box, either. No politician is going to appoint a prosecutor who's job is to crack down on government corruption, and local elected prosecutors are all the same; tough on crime unless the criminal is a cop whom he needs to help him get his convictions.
America's cops are the Brownshirts, and they either love the role, learn to love it, or leave the force. According to the FBI, over 400 people were killed by cops last year, more than any other country on Earth, and that's not going to change either. No telling how many people were sent to the hospital by cops. Cops conduct violent raids when they could just wait for the suspect to leave his house and arrest him in a parking lot or grocery store or somewhere else in public. If they're raiding your neighbor, and you go out on your porch to witness it, you will be ordered back inside (you are under no obligation to obey the order, but take that advice at your own risk). The use of agent provocateurs is at an all-time high; the same people who may encourage you to commit crime will arrest you once you do (but the cop won't be charged as a co-conspirator).
They'll tell you that a cop's job is dangerous, and that lots of cops are killed on duty, but they won't tell you that the majority of those deaths are cop-caused car crashes, and that most of those involve a cop who wasn't wearing his seat belt (but those same cops give others tickets for not wearing them).
America effectively nullified the Fugitive Slave Act by refusing to convict; Americans need to register to vote, even if you don't vote, so you can get on juries. Refuse to convict, even if it's a murder case; cops and prosecutors are judged by their conviction rate. If, by chance, the case involves a cop who is a defendant, vote to convict, even if it's obvious that he's not guilty... he's surely guilty of something.
I agree with much of what you said and have given you a well deserved up-vote however any change in a positive direction is better than no change at all!
Also please note many dangerous jobs exist. Cops are not forced to take this job.
We should not be mislead by how media is trying to spin the protest sprouting up across America into just being about blacks being abused. The issue spills over into the general demeanor of police and how they interact with society. This is why so many young people and white faces are often seen in the protests.
They understand at any time they might see their lives turned upside down by an officer with an attitude. The expansion of the NSA and the militarization of police forces across America reeks of a growing Orwellian police state that should concern us all. The article below looks at how the feeling that many on these officers hold that they are held to a different standard and are above the law has become an ugly reality across America.
