Massive Explosions Reported Following Israeli Aistrikes Near Syrian Capital
The last time Israel ignored Syrian sovereignty and attacked Bashar al Assad's nation without fear of reprisals was in the spring of 2013, when the US was eager to launch an all out war, and tear apart the last country that stood in the path of the Qatari natural gas pipeline to Europe (and was thus desperate for a provocative pretext). As a result of last minute Russian intervention, the war was avoided following the now traditional John Kerry snafu, but not before Syria had declared Israel's attack An "Act Of War.' Moments ago, following a year and a half hiatus, Israel, which had not made many headlines on the geopolitical arena in recent months, launched another bomb raid on Syria, and as AP reports, Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes Sunday near Damascus, one near the city's international airport and a second outside a town close to the Lebanese border, Syria's state news agency said.
According to Syria's SANA press agency, the attack was "an aggression against Syria" and said there were no reports of casualties. The Israeli military said it does not comment on "foreign reports."
Syria's state news agency did not provide any details on what was hit near the Damascus airport or in the town of Dimas, which is located along the main highway from the Syrian capital to the Lebanese frontier crossing.
Israel has carried out several airstrikes in Syria since the revolt against President Bashar Assad began in March 2011. Most of the strikes have targeted sophisticated weapons systems, including Russian-made anti-aircraft missiles, believed to be destined for Lebanon's militant Hezbollah group. Israel has never confirmed the airstrikes.
The reason for the unexpected attack, and provocation, are unclear: while Israel has tried to stay out of the war in neighboring Syria, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly threatened to take military action to prevent Syria from transferring sophisticated weapons to its ally Hezbollah. According to Israel Breaking News, it is possible that the IDF were targeting an arsenal of S-3000 rockets, although with Israel unwilling to confirm it launched the attack in the first place, it would be difficult to get confirmation.
The Syrian Army General Command is expected to release a statement soon regarding the Israeli airstrikes.

Putin cancelled the contract to sell Russia's latest anti air system to Syria and Iran. Putin uses the blood of Russia "allies" with no direct assistance in the hopes the fight will wear down support for the wars and slow down the advance on Russia proper. Putin and Russia have abandoned every allie once the fight starts. Putin forced a cease fire onto the EUK army just when the EUK was destroying trapped WUK forces and pushing the west out. The rebel leader called this a betrayal by Putin. Putin sells gas to WUK at a nice discount in the price.
Putin is no better and has no more ethics than the other side. He will do nothing for Syria other than extend the fight as long as possible. Putin is also afraid of the west and this is why he cancelled the contract to sell the best anti air defenses and forces EUK to stop. He does not want to get them too mad at him. Putin and the elites will allow the west to take Russia's resources but will be granted special status and allowed to profit themselves. And to leave Russia if there is a successful revolt.

I have had a few friends and dated a few Jewish men. In younger days, there was Karen...she was a leech as well. But this is how she did it and did not lose our friendship...she would "borrow" from us..cigarettes, clothes, makeup, accessories and we would never see them again nor would we see her for a few months...then, she would pop back into our group and act as if nothing happened. When she did deplete us of our cigs, money, beer, pot, we'd discover that she was the only one with a stash left...and she did pull it out and grant us whatever we needed...because we had to be nice to her now.
Another was a man. This Jewish man was an athiest, the son of a religious zealot who did nothing all day long but talk to people about the Talmud, "teach" and they were dirt poor. This gentleman rose up out of the skid row home and did well enough to move to an upscale home in SF. When I met him, he was in process of selling his home. His neighbor, a banker as a matter of fact, whom he had lived beside for 20 years showed interest in this home, and put 20 grand down. Within 5 days, he had a change of heart..and decided he and his wife would not buy my friend's house. My friend seemed shocked that he would expect his 20 grand back, because he had caused the house to not be on the market for 5 days and a possible buyer could have been lost..my friend kept the 20 grand in exchange for a 20 year friendship.
Another...a middle aged daughter of a Jewish accountant, catholic mother. He paved the road for her and her sister, left them his fortune and they left him in the nursing home, pulled the plug rather than have a procedure done to extend his life as he was in mid 90s and my friend who had power of attorney decided he had lived long enough...she remodeled her kitchen before he was in the ground 2 months. Every accident she has, she is sure her father is trying to kill her from the grave in retribution for ending his life while he was mentally sound.
