Needs more Bibles.
On the contrary, if ah never mind. It's too late now anyway.
Fuck ALL torturers... especially self-righteous ones.
We tortured some folks.... oh wait!
America's Moral High Ground has morphed into the “Moral Underground”.
Looney
That started with the Trail of Tears. Went downhill from there.
I think the only true episode of moral righteousness in the United States comes from being the first nation to publicly reject slavery. Even that didn't occur until it was politically expedient for Lincoln to do so.
Realistically, unless it is within the realm of political advantage for our politicians, we don't do it. Same as any other nation.
Now, I think it is perfectly OK to call Americans a morally bankrupt nation.
being the first nation to publicly reject slavery.
You might want to look that one up. Not even close. (I know, they told you in school...)
Outcome based post-modernist education. Reality is what the experts say it is.
Next thing you'll be telling me Abe didn't kick ass as a zombie hunter.
Hehehe, fantastic reference! Funniest comment on the page. 5 gold stars.
So who was the first anyways? Some links for that? Google gives me a hard time for unbiased history searches ;)
If memory serves, the Brits beat us to that punch by about 60 years.
Human nature was never better or worse than it is now. Thanks to the internet and sites like ZH, it's harder to hide what the sociopaths try to get away with.
God should have taken more than a week to create earth and man, and perhaps got it right. Humans are infected by a minority who are corrupt, violent, sexually deviant and sadistic. Naturally these vermin collect in places like the CIA, where their diseased minds flourish.
What mankind needs is a genetic test to screen out sociopaths in the womb, so they can be aborted.
The Nazi's certainly thought it would work. I mean if we are going to have a super race or at least a superior race, some culling will need to occur. Read some Marx and Mao and they can explain far better than I.
Custer's last fight lasted less than one-half hour. Ah.....the good ole days
Um, actually the USA was hardly the first nation to reject slavery. We were actually in about the middle of the pack on abolition.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abolition_of_slavery_timeline
And, of all those nations, only the U.S. had significant GDP based on slavery. Easy to reject a thing when your economy isn't structured on a thing.
If you are an american of the US kind - you are my enemy.
You are the enemy of any decent human being. Go nuke yourselves, assholes - the planet won't miss you after the celebration.
Hey, everybody! AnAnonymous got some English lessons and came back!
Well nuubee, why didn't you say so? Economics. Why that excuses our lateness to the party!
embarassing idiot
Yes, yes you are.
being the first nation to publicly reject slavery.
load of crap....
first things first... the hypocrisy reeks....
based on the principles (oh let's not forget the constitution and bill of rights) how was it possible for a nation who fought for such principles for her independence, away from a broken and corrupt empire. in the process, openning up the ONLY country that (in theory) would give herself to those who willingly took risks, without asking for guarantees, all the rewards that said risk would offer... and BUILD, CREATE... wealth. based on a dream of opportunity, without the balast of today's ever growing free $hit army, excuses of the kommie moochers, or thievery from corrupt politicos using excuses such as... 'it's for the children", 'patriotism', and the like...
... to begin importing slaves in the first place...
isn't that of itself an act of complete moral bankruptcy ? ... in spite of all the breast thumping of... "in god we trust" (ah yes, the religious bullshit reminiscent of the crusades.... "i will cut off your head.... "in the name of god") -lol applicable to ALL religions
time to cut the crap...
we humans are basically.... despicable
and the fair, just, and good need to LEARN to fight dirty and smartly -without all the guilty shit prevalent on those with broken morals and/or the hypocrisy of the righteous... fuck that shit....
just saying.... tired of all the on going shit.....
in short...
if someone attacks my home.... NO ONE has the right for clemency.... i will torture, in the most evil way, to find out where the origin of tha atack came from, and to DESTROY any possibility of a repeat...
take no fucking prisoners... (including those who will down arrow me) -LOL !
..... I see where you are going there ..... but ...... what was wrong with a little slavery when the entire foundation of the new world - including and in particular the republic - was based on the genocide of the previous inhabitants....... can anyone think of any shit sandwich treaty we didn't break when it suited us?? I do not profess to be an expert by any means but I have struggled to find even one that was honoured....... anyone...... Bueller......
..... but getting back to the slavery thing ..... when ...... when did we reject slavery?? Seriously when?? Can anyone think of a time in our history when we did not have someone enslaved...... bear in mind the chains may not necessarily be of iron..... sometimes they're just Fiat.....
and I agree with your " if someone attacks my home.... NO ONE has the right for clemency.... i will torture, in the most evil way, to find out where the origin of tha atack came from, and to DESTROY any possibility of a repeat... " comment ...... but applying all men created equal meme, and recalling the many that have been fucked over in our name ......... expect no clemency
Let me fact-check.
The Spanish 'conquitadores' enslaved and killed most of the South American populations to bring back gold to Queen Isabella (and others).
The Western African tribal chiefs worked with the Spanish to sell their 'least-desirable' members of their tribes.
The Spanish slave-trading ships soon were built, and shipped their 'property' to such places as HISPANOLA (an old name for one of the islands in the Caribbean).
The BRITISH; after being bought by the REDSHIELD family after the false-flag event in which it was announced that Napoleon had WON the battle at Waterloo, soon glommed on, and the DUTCH EAST INDIA company members financed the ships that the Spanish built to ship the SLAVES that the Western AFRICAN tribal chiefs were offering for sale (to be trans-shipped to HISPANOLA).
I could go ON about the British 'Commonwealth' influences, and the FRENCH ownership and control of what is now known as the 'SOUTHERN STATES', and how the GDP of the SOUTH was only about 10% of the GDP TOTAL of the united States, and how the BANKING INFLUENCES throughout the entire fucking WORLD made 'slave-trading' a COMMODITY to be LEVERAGED and HEDGED; but I digress.
BOY: You had better study REAL history before spouting bullshit out of that pussy-hole you call a MOUTH.
How about the ARAB slave-traders? Haven't you ever wondered about the 'shores of Tripoli', back in 1811? How that led to the 'war of 1812', and the burning of Washington? WHO funded this war against the United States? WHY they felt the need to eradicate the IDEA of LIBERTY?
FUCK. You're still ignorant.
Nice retort!
But seriously...what do you expect from someone who still thinks OBL carried out the 9/11 attacks?
Most humans aren't human. Humanness is a bell curve distribution, from animal to human.
Catastrophes aside, evolution is incremental.
wait...slavery is over?
Pfah. I'm all for torture.
There's no quicker way to get the Fed and bankers to stop fucking with the public, than torture.
Broadcast the Bernank and good ol' Jamie Dimon getting all their teeth pulled with no anesthetic on national TV...shit stops overnight.
I like how they indict all of us for crimes committed in secrecy by a bunch of rotten criminals puppeting the government. I'm not guilty...just disgusted.
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

Could not agree more WRT Banksters:
To paraphrase Cheney: "We got to know where and when the next terrorist act will take place".
I bitched out a torture enthusiast that was all for any and ever form of torture to "get the terr'ists". Did it today so how apropo is this article. Told him he was a piece of shit and there was no way "he could answer to The Man with that in his heart".
His answer? "Don't be a pussy, its just a little water". Well, I let my two best friends waterboard me in 2010 to see what it is like.
I lasted less than 3 seconds. It is horrifying and holding your breath does not help one damn bit.
Long story short. I wagered him. "Dave, $100 bucks right now if you come to my house Saturday and let me waterboard you. Two rules. I go for 30 seconds non-stop or until you say "Stop! It's torture!". Deal.
He refused.
Just before walking away, I got right in his face, looked at him and said "Just what I thought, ChickenHawk".
What an ass hole.
So are you saying the Muslims are a lot tougher lot than you are? Sounds like they did a lot better than three seconds.
As I understand it, we waterboard and "torture" some of our own servicemen as part of their training (unless of course they "wash out"). I wonder if they will file charges against the government for being tortured?
Hmmm, some Bourne Identity action ...
Why don't you give it a try, or are you just another chickenhawk pussy? One more observation here Oppenheimer: Unlike the Muslims I was not tied down.
Jesup What a fag.
cripes I was reading that too going I'm sure you had the option to make it stop if you really wanted, and you would have "held up for a lot longer" if you really had no fkn choice in the matter
Moral cover has many focal points.
One could just as easily say it needs moar:
- Community Organizers
- FLAGS
- Yellow Ribbons
- Press Conferences
- PHD's, Degrees, Certificats
- Documentaries
- News anchors with good looks and charisma
- Green Product Marketing
- Party Affiliations with their narrative which never matches its voting record
- BADGES
- Hand over heart pledge saying children
- War on X (Drugs, crime, disease, poverty)
- United Nations ensignias
- We must do something bleeding heart NGO's
- Benevolent Fraternal Organizations (with bizarre secret ceremonies and loyalty pledges)
etc
Not all these things are evil in and of themselves. Many are sometimes helpful but all are potentially useful to psycopaths. In the hands of a person with ill intent and capacity for deception, each has the potential to become moral cover.
We don't need no stinking BADGES!
"- War on X (Drugs, crime, disease, poverty, *guns)"
Fixed!
*But really it's a war on self defense & most importantly independence. Giving way to total reliance on the state for everything that allows you to live another day. Using the Ministry of Information to disseminate the party narrative on why handing control of your life over to the state is not only good, it's a vital neccessity to the survival of the nation!
And dead yankys

You SEE, my flock, the lord jesus COMMANDED us to follow the precepts of everything his disciple Matthew stated. If you simply send me a love donation of $48.00 (the number of sheaves that each little lamb needed, on the plastic ark that was promoted by Union 76 as a stipend when you bought gasoline in 1972), I will send you an especially prayed-over rope, with secret instructions that only god and I know (as to the making of a hangman's noose).
Stay tuned, as I hit unsespecting subjects on their foreheads, causing them to lose conscienseness!
YEA! VERILY!
You are correct. If people were applying the rules of Christianity these things would not be happening or they would not go unpunished.

Religion is a construct of man, and as a Christian (and I fully admit, I am not a very good one, I need to try better), I consider religion to be one of the greatest evils ever constructed.
True Christianity, which IMO is less than 1% of all self professed Christians, respects the rights of all, inlcuding the right not to believe in God (that doesn't mean that I have to take crap from a hyper-obnoxious atheist. Quid pro quo please). It is the ultimate form of libertarianism.
Problem is there are too many religous people around to fuck things up.
Oh please, am I supposed to feel bad for these terrorists? The height of immorality is not doing to your enemy what they are willing to do to you!
yeah cause everyone threw them all away (bibles)... but if anyone wanted one back, well, they might have to gtss.

That's all you need to know about America's Moral High Ground.
"America's Moral High Ground" and an image of Obama standing on a mountain high pile of shit comes in mind.
Pretty sure no government every in the history of mankind has ever had any legitamate moral high ground. Ever. Government is just another form of religion using propoganda and lies to gain power and control over humanity.

A downvote from Satan himself is a compliment and a ticket to heaven
I see you just got your own.
Pretty much what the local radio host was yammering on about today. The guy is becoming Rush by the hour. Good thing the hosts before and after are decent. I should just switch to oldies for the mid day show.
I cannot listen to anyone on the radio anymore. Only the comedy channel. In one way or another, they are all statists. Just depends on what memo they get before the show.
And these are local guys too. One guy has on a couple good guests (Dr. Greg Brannon) but it is drowned out by reflexive statism.
Wish we had a good oldies station. Mostly Mexican channels on AM anymore. Don't risk FM anymore. That is Idiocracy Zombieland of Bubblegum.

Dig this. Torture validates 9/11. That is, the intelectual authors of ultra-Capitalism, condone torture as it emotionally validates the 'truth' of 9/11.
Also, all of the media bru-ha-ha of torture, as well as Gitmo, is moral validation of the 'truth' of 9/11.
Dig this, also. Making the US look so bad, makes the Israels' look like they are restrained, measured, and justified.
Well if we minded our own G-D business we would not have to even try and occupy that hallowed area called the "moral high ground."
Why not just let countries do as their people determine?
But nope, we have to bomb the fuck out of anyone that might upset our FRN applecart.
The thing that chaps my ass is that Amerika still pretends we are a force for good, instead of a force for bankers in the world today.

What's worse? Sleep deprivation, water boarding, anal feeding etc......OR: burned, shrapneled, maimed/killed as part of collateral damage from a drone strike?

Screw the moral high ground, we now have the immoral high ground! That's twice as good!

...and the pecksniffian sanctimony is one louder! (Moral pecksniffian sanctimony only goes up to 665.)
Okay, thank you Shemp!
Pecksniffian: affecting benevolence or high moral principles.
I'm not ashamed, I had to Google it.

Is it just me or is that pile kinda small looking?
You misunderestimate the size of the hole.
Moral high ground? Reminds me of the Bernank saying the FED's actions during the financial crisis needed to avoid anything which would "exacerbate moral hazard” and “encourage inappropriate risk taking”.
lmao.
.
Translated from Bullshittian Propagandese: abandon all morals with the wisdom and caution of a drunken 18-year-old.
Moral high ground is akin to hveavn: it is an aspiration for the fallen to dream about. War makes whores of those who fight and those who benefit. Cheap politcal speech even for Obama.
US = "> ="
Inexcusable as it is, still many governments in history have used torture.
NONE but the US government has used Depleted Uranium munitions in conflict. THIS is the most heinous war crime in the history of the world. Most war crimes fade away with human memory. DU contamination of entire nations will cause horrific and indiscriminate human suffering for MILLIONS OF YEARS. It's even possible that over centuries DU genetic damage will destroy the human genome integrity in affected regions.
For the use of DU, every US government official in any way associated with that policy deserves to be slowly tortured to death. And by their inaction to stop the use of DU, that includes ALL of them.
The US public is far from innocent in this too. It could be said that the horrors they are doomed to experience as the USA disintegrates, are well deserved.
Oh, and by 'US government' I include Israel. There's little differentiation. DU use makes them all the worst war criminals in the history of the planet, by orders of magnitude.
Up to about 20 years ago they used to annually reenact and celebrate the Enola Gay destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki before a vast cheering audience,
True... but 17 million gallons of Agent Orange definitely gives DU a run for it's money.
The common theme here is that 'the american citizens are NOT to blame ' ( it's the sociopaths in government, bankers, CEO's, MSM etc ) BUT that is absolute BULLSHIT.
The Sociopaths have DIVIDED y'all , played you off against each other ( despite you having 80-90% common beliefs and goals ) using ism's like racism, liberalism, conservatism blah blah blah.
For crying out loud even with ALL the information before your eyes , kindly provided by Tylers' on Z/H and the many excellent commentators you still remain FUCKED UP. The Sociopaths keep winning.
I'm not claiming to be anyone special but i worked this out myself long before reaching this valuable web site.
"The common theme here is that 'the american citizens are NOT to blame ' (it's the sociopaths in government, bankers, CEO's, MSM etc ) BUT that is absolute BULLSHIT."
Absolutely correct. The success of the TV series 24 kinda' indicates that along with the comments about this issue I've seen many places on-line. Just "evolved" apes with f'ing car keys like everywhere else in the world, so what do you expect?
That "moral high ground" is nothing but words. The fire bombing of Dresden and Tokyo, the nuclear bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, just a few examples of many in WWII. We're almost as good at killing civilians as the Nazis and the Soviets, we just do it mostly from the air while they were more up close and personal. We, like everyone else, use the excuse "ya' got to do what ya' got to do when ya' got to do it," so let's drop that moral high ground pretense and facade.
Has anyone ever won a war by standing on the higher moral ground? War virtually demands that you are less moral and more vicious than your opponent if you hope to win. This is why we no longer win wars. Our rules of engagement, our constant expose's of moral failures ensures that we will never again win a war. We will require such a viscous and uncalled for attack to justify anything close to an adequate response, it will be devastating. We have watched and it can be well witnessed on this site that many Americans see no excuse for military or intelligence actions. Many here clearly state that we get what we deserve. I'm not arguing one side or the other than simply we cannot win, as a country, as a society or as a culture as too many already see it as dead. We lose because we refuse to win, to do what it takes to win. Everyone here seems to thing they KNOW what is true and false. I envy such simplicity of thought. Its not all that much different than our countries elite that are so sure of their policies, their education, their intelligence. We rail at these people that are so condescending to others they deem less educated, less intelligent....while doing exactly the same to everyone of differing opinions posting here. I think the best test of intelligence is knowing what you truly know and DON'T know. My experience has been that those who profess to know the most are typically the most ignorant.
The DC US hasn't stood on any moral high ground since at least since 1861 when they sank into the treason swamp with the invasion of the Southern States.
Lowest point in the DC US is not in Badwater Basin, but in the swamp of DC.
An American, not US subject.

Won't take explosive-thermite to bring their ponzi of theft and violence down upon them. Only a small draft of defiance and morality is needed.

I think that the good times and high days ended when Hamilton and his ilk were elected in the early 1800's. It was down hill from there.
This image better captures the moral condition of the DC US:

Actually no. The enemy is the US nation, not the American, people.

"There is none righteous, no not one."
During WWII in the Pacific, US forces summarily shot surrendering Japanese. Everybody knew it, and nobody objected.
"Banzai yourself, mother-fucker. Blam."
US troops were being compassionate, since the typical Japanese soldier was willing to die for his Emperor.
"Emperor Hirohito respects you. Blam."
Ethics 101. If someone is trying to kill you, it is immoral not to try to stop your prospective murderer. It is morally imcumbent on you to kill him; else, you have tacitly decided that your life is worthless, directly implying that all lives are not worth saving.
One of these days where the US is more enlightened (when the fucking Progressives are purged from our social and political life), future Americans will have the exquisite pleasure of visiting the CIA museum and seeing the jars and jars of pickled Islamic testicles.
From one of the greatest films ever made, Judgement at Nuremberg (1961):
Rolfe: Your Honor, it is my duty to defend Ernst Janning, and yet Ernst Janning has said he is guilty. There's no doubt, he feels his guilt. He made a great error in going along with the Nazi movement, hoping it would be good for his country. But, if he is to be found guilty, there are others who also went along, who also must be found guilty.
Ernst Janning said, "We succeeded beyond our wildest dreams." Why did we succeed, Your Honor? What about the rest of the world? Did it not know the intentions of the Third Reich? Did it not hear the words of Hitler's broadcast all over the world? Did it not read his intentions in Mein Kampf, published in every corner of the world?
Where's the responsibility of the Soviet Union, who signed in 1939 the pact with Hitler, enabled him to make war? Are we not to find Russia guilty?
Where's the responsibility of the Vatican, who signed in 1933 the Concordat with Hitler, giving him his first tremendous prestige? Are we not to find the Vatican guilty?
Where's the responsibility of the world leader, Winston Churchill, who said in an open letter to the London Times in 1938 -- 1938!! Your Honor -- "were England to suffer national disaster should pray to God to send a man of the strength of mind and will of an Adolf Hitler!" Are we not to find Winston Churchill guilty?
Where is the responsibility of those American industrialists, who helped Hitler to rebuild his armaments and profited by that rebuilding?!! Are we not to find the American industrialists guilty?
No, Your Honor. No! Germany alone is not guilty: The whole world is as responsible for Hitler's Germany.
It is an easy thing to condemn one man in the dock. It is easy to condemn the German people to speak of the basic flaw in the German character that allowed Hitler to rise to power and at the same time positively ignore the basic flaw of character that made the Russians sign pacts with him, Winston Churchill praise him, American industrialists profit by him!!
Ernst Janning said he is guilty. If he is, Ernst Janning's guilt is the world's guilt -- no more and no less.
Judge Haywood: The trial conducted before this Tribunal began over eight months ago. The record of evidence is more than ten thousand pages long, and final arguments of counsel have been concluded.
Simple murders and atrocities do not constitute the gravamen of the charges in this indictment. Rather, the charge is that of conscious participation in a nationwide, government organized system of cruelty and injustice in violation of every moral and legal principle known to all civilized nations. The Tribunal has carefully studied the record and found therein abundant evidence to support beyond a reasonable doubt the charges against these defendants.
Heir Rolfe, in his very skillful defense, has asserted that there are others who must share the ultimate responsibility for what happened here in Germany. There is truth in this. The real complaining party at the bar in this courtroom is civilization. But the Tribunal does say that the men in the dock are responsible for their actions, men who sat in black robes in judgment on other men, men who took part in the enactment of laws and decrees, the purpose of which was the extermination of humans beings, men who in executive positions actively participated in the enforcement of these laws -- illegal even under German law. The principle of criminal law in every civilized society has this in common: Any person who sways another to commit murder, any person who furnishes the lethal weapon for the purpose of the crime, any person who is an accessory to the crime -- is guilty.
Heir Rolfe further asserts that the defendant, Janning, was an extraordinary jurist and acted in what he thought was the best interest of this country. There is truth in this also. Janning, to be sure, is a tragic figure. We believe he loathed the evil he did. But compassion for the present torture of his soul must not beget forgetfulness of the torture and the death of millions by the Government of which he was a part. Janning's record and his fate illuminate the most shattering truth that has emerged from this trial: If he and all of the other defendants had been degraded perverts, if all of the leaders of the Third Reich had been sadistic monsters and maniacs, then these events would have no more moral significance than an earthquake, or any other natural catastrophe. But this trial has shown that under a national crisis, ordinary -- even able and extraordinary -- men can delude themselves into the commission of crimes so vast and heinous that they beggar the imagination. No one who has sat at through trial can ever forget them: men sterilized because of political belief; a mockery made of friendship and faith; the murder of children. How easily it can happen.
There are those in our own country too who today speak of the "protection of country" -- of "survival." A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient -- to look the other way.
Well, the answer to that is "survival as what?" A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult!
Before the people of the world, let it now be noted that here, in our decision, this is what we stand for: justice, truth, and the value of a single human being.
Lynch Law At Nurenberg would have been a more appropriate title.
Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient -- to look the other way.
Vapid pap. From a cerebral standpoint, a straw man argument. The way to survive is to kill the enemy.
War has rules. Nations, armies, and soldiers can choose to abide by those rules, or not. If combatants reject them, they reject the protection of those rules; more specifically, they're rejecting civilization itself.
If a combatant chooses to fight outside the rules of civilization (eg, the Geneva Convention), then trying to cede that combatant the protection of laws is itself an immoral act. We cannot choose for the combatant. The combatant has chosen to operate outside the bounds of civilization. We must honor that choice. For us to impose our rules on that combatant is the very antithesis of freedom.
The rules for war and civil society are different. A cop cannot be an executioner, but a soldier can be. If fact, a solider MUST BE an executioner. If a soldier chooses not to be an executioner when his duty is to be an executioner, that soldier can be tried in a military court and sentenced to death.
Even for civilians, self-defense is not optional. If someone attacks you, and you fear for your life, you must try to kill your attacker. It is a moral imperative that you must try to kill your attacker.
OK, Flicka. I've ridden you across all these desert miles to this here Pecos River. Your turn.
You come across like a jew boy with your bullshit. You go on and on about freedom and moral duty (derived from what or whom i may ask) to defend life, yet you'd kill someone (a soldier) that refuses to kill another human being. Fuck you and your understanding of freedom and life, putz!
My, My. Sorry, but you've just failed the entrance exam for the military. The absolutely bare minimum requirement for soldierhood is rationality.
livefreediefree, you have become what you claim to oppose.
You said nothing.
There is a great difference between Washington D.C. and America. America, along with the rest of the world hates Washington D.C.
That's Loyd Blankfein's dump heap not ours.
Occupying the moral high ground means treating other people better than they would ever treat you. In other words, letting them take advantage of you. The less wealthy, powerful, and invulnerable you are, the faster such unrequited altruism leads to your ruin.
This is why any sane moral code applies only to those who accept its rules in advance. E.g. since Al-Qaeda never signed the Geneva Convention, nor do its members act in accordance with that Convention, there's nothing wrong with torturing captured terrorists and executing them without trial.
Since Al Qaida was and is still under the control of the CIA your have no leg to stand on. Even if Al Qaida would have been a legitimate (and real) enemy you are a piece of shit for condoning torture and murder.
I sense a jew boy again, fuck your black heart!
The CIA controls Al-Qaeda? So the CIA is torturing and murdering its own employees? Do you ever say anything that makes sense?
Listened to a US Senator respond to a question asking him if people responsible for EIT [torture] should be prosecuted. The circulating script now seems to be that being human, these individuals weren't perfect, they now know better and we need to look forward and forget about the past. What a bunch of assholes! When I "prematurely dispatch someone to the other side" [KILL them], my defense will be that I am only human, not perfect, realize the error of my ways, will forget the past and look forward to being a productive, lawful member of society...Yeah, that'll hold a LOT of water.....

The US lost its moral high ground a long time ago
Son of a bitch. Pisses me off. None of you anti-war simpletons tripped the trap. So, kudos to either your intelligence or imbecility.
In any case, what I hoped to rejoin to an appropriate comment was that a logical argument for supporting torture is an actualization of the moral imperative that we honor diversity.
Think about it. They torture. Even more so, they behead and pogrom. We should respect their diverse viewpoint by emulating them. If we don't, we dishonor diversity itself.
The above presupposes, or course, that the moral doctrine of diversity embodies the common sense meaning that a rational individual can ascribe to it. Otherwise, if diversity is merely -- say -- a club the left uses againt the right, never mind.
Damn, that's right. Sorry I fucked up. The left's mantra is diversity in everything except for thought.
Double fuck damn. Sorry, sorry, sorry again. I assumed that the left uses logic; ie, axioms, begetting surmises, begetting logical reasoning, begetting conclusions. You know, deductive reasoning. I forgot. The left argues like this: Mankind is causing Global Warming; therefore, mankind is causing Global Warming; ie, truths spring either fullborn from nowhere, or, postmodernistically, there are no absolute truths except nearly absolute truths which we can consider absolute truths since they feel good.
In the same vein, "War is Bad" is a leftist axiom, except when it's not; ie, the war on women requires a no-quarter response; double-ie, it demands total war since conservatives lie beyond the pale of morality, and, therefore, it's OK to do to them anything we want; ie, torture is just the free salsa-and-chips appetizer/entree.
Finally, all terminal Alzheimer's patients must be radical leftists.
